It’s not just about the food 5/5
Good app...great food but more importantly it’s been a game changer in my household. Having two children ages 12 and 14 that actively want to participate in preparation every time we cook, I am now so grateful for the family time we share in our kitchen despite our busy lives! oh, and the food is pretty awesome as well....Thanks Blue Apron!

I love Blue Apron! I’m on a Keto diet right now, so have cancelled the next few weeks. I doubt I’ll sustain this low carb diet forever, but it’s working well. Would love to see more low carb menus ( exact carb counts would be helpful too).
I miss my Blue Apron meals even more than I miss bread. Keep up the great work - you’re app is visually interesting and easy to maneuver.

The app makes it very easy to plan our meals for weeks in advance, which helps us save time and money going to the grocery store. The meals are perfectly portioned for two and there’s typically a good variety to choose from.

STAY AWAY!!!! At $25 per meal, if blue apron can’t afford to operate they should shut down. It’s sketchy and insulting to keep customers from controlling their own ability to cancel or remove payment options. They lure people in with free meals and take advantage of those who are unlikely to take the extra step of emailing, waiting for a respond, and then (if they’re lucky) removing their payment info.
Their response to this comment is stupid & cookie cutter. You a bot?

Every meal we have got has been great! Meats are high quality and the produce is very fresh! Easy recipes and new combinations are excellent! Something you would find in high end restaurants!

I refuse to pay a $30 cancellation fee. It’s ridiculous. Hello Fresh has way better food and they charge $0 for cancellation.

I’ve been a Blue Apron subscriber for two years. I receive two meals for four people every week. The ingredients are fresh, the recipes varied, tasty and easy to follow. Even though I’ve been cooking for over forty years I’ve learned new tricks and been introduced to new foods. With this app I can easily access my account and make changes if necessary. All the recipes are available online. What I enjoy the most is that for two nights a week I don’t have to think about, plan, or shop for the meals. It is a big help.

Received the wrong recipes and ingredients on my first order - none of the ingredients matched a recipe. Contacted customer support twice only to be left unheard for over 48 hours. What a sham.

The App is awful , there’s no way to cancel membership not even a way to stop single deliveries. I’ve emailed several times to cancel and they keep sending me meals. I’ve left messages after messages and nothing. I learned my lesson on these expensive home delivery services . I have to call my bank tomorrow and cancel my card just so I don’t get charged again.

We’ve had many Blue Apron meals & gifted many as well. Rarely are we less than very happy with the menus, tastes & fun we have cooking!
Blue Apron is very creative with its combinations of spice, sauce & ingredients. It’s usually a delicious surprise!
I'm sent meals I haven't ordered 2/5
The recipes and meals are wonderful, but there's something wrong in the fact that I've been sent at least five shipments that I didn't order or want. Much of the food had to be given away or thrown out because my schedule didn't allow time for me to prepare dinners, so I skipped those weeks.
I've complained twice. This last time has been ignored.

App is not iPad friendly. I would like to use my iPad rather than the included recipe card to cook my meals. But the app is not optimized for the iPad.
Love the food and service. It would be helpful if the recipe ingredients were packaged together also.

We love Blue Apron. The dishes are almost always delicious. They blend flavors and textures we would never think of putting together and they constantly surprise us. I love cooking the meals. They are clear and easy to follow. I enjoy leaning new ways to cook. It is expensive but we have found we don’t eat out as often.

We absolutely love blue apron and have been enjoying it for years. Quality food that adds variety and health to your diet. The most baffling is the stock price. Not sure how the threat of Amazon just thinking about creating services that are not remotely close to the actual service Blue Apron provides destroys value. Politics in there some place. App works just like it should though I’d like a tablet version.

I am trying to cancel because I do not use it. I go to the website that there frequently asked questions page gave me. And they want to charge $37 to cancel my subscription. Runaway as fast as you can! If they’re going to charge you to cancel why would you do business with them anyways!!!

I’ve tried a few food delivery programs but Blue Apron is the easiest to use. You can skip by week or change address by week and has made me a much better and healthier cook.

I hate having a red dot for unread messages. Since I cannot claim free boxes for myself nor do I have friends to send to, I don't know how to turn that stupid dot off. It's really annoying please stop that thank you

I could say this about all these recipes. I love this idea. As long as you keep sending great food with easy to follow recipes for a great price, I am sold. Most of the time I don’t know how to cook. I work night shift. I tried TV dinners, the cafeteria, drive thrus and making my own. I just was having such a time of it with chicken breasts. Because of my previous bad eating habits, I was putting on weight like crazy. Thanks to your service, I now have great meals at work that are part of my Weight Watchers plan. I love the way that ingredients that I would normally buy that would go bad later are sent to me in the just right size. I can’t stand when my shelves get cluttered with ingredients that I won’t use again. I am so happy with this. Thank you!!

The app makes it very hard to cancel. You have to go through many portals just cancel. Yes you can skip weeks but, there should be a easy opt out and cancel option. Skipping can easily dupe people into unwanted boxes for the week or month. No vegan options either. Not impressed and unhappy with company

No PayPal, no Health integration 2/5
I absolutely LOVE that Blue Apron added an option to only have meals shipped if you select something.
The old option of automatically shipping random meals every week unless I remember to log in and mark the week as skipped, didn't work for me. I would constantly forget, and get charged $60 for food I didn't need.
Every meal delivery service should offer this ability to have the default be to ONLY ship when the user selects something.
HOWEVER, the app doesn't support this version of the service at all! You have to go to the website to select meals and manage your account if you don't want the automatic shipping method.
So the app is completely useless for people that want to take advantage of the better version of the service. That's a massive disappointment!
The other two problems are:
- Doesn't accept PayPal. I don't want to enter my credit card numbers online. If it doesn't accept PayPal, I don't use it.
- Doesn't integrate with the Health app. This is crazy for a food app. If you know the meals I ate, and the nutritional value of those meals, then why can't I transfer this data to the Apple Health app?

I’ve used Blue apron for probably a good year and it has been fantastic! Convenient easy meals that look complicated but are so easy and so tasty which is a feat for me because my husband is especially peaky and I’m more health focused but also love trying new things so it’s brought him out of his comfort zone but we can still always find some comfort food in something new. Huge fan! I imagine blue apron is going to be long term for us. To easy to good! Love it!!

I got my wife a few weeks of Blue Apron for Valentines, and I love it. I’m learning little things about cooking, and I thought I’d never enjoy making food. The app gives tips and extra info for the recipes you’ve received. And it’s super easy to choose alternatives for upcoming meals. Love Blue Apron!

I searched in the app how to cancel and was instructed to send an email to customer service. I quickly receive the directions and followed them exactly. After many tries to cancel in the app and out of the app I again emailed customer service. I am still waiting for a response. Very frustrating!!!
Incredibly delicious 5/5
I can’t say how wonderfully delicious and easy the recipes are. They come delivered perfectly boxed and fresh and easy to read step-by-step menu items that you could follow on your app or using their well photographed menu cards.
I have referred many friends and I post my dishes all the time on Facebook and everybody is excited to see my next dish. I always give a shout out to blue apron but sometimes I don’t mention blue apron so they can think that I prepared this myself from scratch. LOL.

Blue Apron is confusing. When I signed up... I specified no beef and no Italian. All my recipe suggestions come back with beef and Italian. What business model asked the customer what they do not want, and in turn only supplies what they don’t want? I absolutely would not recommend blue apron to anyone.
