Not what it used to be! 1/5
My phone automatically updated BlueMail about a week ago and I absolutely hate the update. I had to add all of my accounts back in after the update and had trouble adding accounts. My mail does not sync properly and some accounts I have to keep inputting my password. This is to be my favorite email app but not now.
Fix bug for iOS phones 4/5
I loved the bluemail till last version. Two weeks ago i have updated the new version, later not at all taking my credentials/not able to login into my mail.
Hopefully bluemail team may come back with the bug issues.
Latest update fail 1/5
The latest update makes it almost unusable. Will be looking for something else now.

I use it for non gmail stuff and it's great
Dont upgrade 1/5
Guys, why did you break the app?
App Updated and Deleted All Accounts - Then Fixed, But No Explanation 3/5
Came home today and went to check my mail. Got the new user screen asking me to add an account. They pushed out an update that completely reset the app. Would be annoying for one account but I have multiple accounts so I won't be doing this again. I can accept flaws but an update that nukes everything is not one of them. Goodbye, BlueMail.
While in the process of finding a new mail app, an update was quietly pushed out that reversed the issue. All missing accounts reappeared so I didn't have to set them all up again. It would have been nice to at least have the devs acknowledge there was a problem and a fix was in work. Instead, there was nothing for three days to let users know what was happening. I'm not expecting the devs to fall on their swords but at least a token post that an unexpected issue had occurred and would be resolved shortly would have saved me (and others) some time and effort. So I'm using the app again but also have a backup in the wings just in case. I hope things work out, though, because this is one of the better mail apps.
Don’t like the new update bring the old one back or a better update
DON’T UPGRADE!!!!! IT ERASES EVERYTHING!!!!! 1/5
I just upgraded the app and I have to start from scratch and sign in to ALL of my email accounts. This is a royal pain in the butt and there was no warning!!!!!!!!!!!
What Happened? 4/5
By Jim J in Cedar Rapids
While I appreciate, and even like, the new look and feel - what the update intended to delete all mail accounts on my device? That might have been a useful note to include in the generic description than what I saw posted. I auto update (bad on me, I suppose) but did not see a warning that I was going to need to recreate my eight accounts.
Otherwise, nice looking, lovely interface. I look forward to exploring more of the features and options.
Lost all my mail accounts!! 1/5
This app lost all my email accounts this morning and made me start all over!! Up until today, it worked fine! Avoid like the plague!! I’m going back to TypeApp!!
Where ? 1/5
I was using this for some time now. Enjoying this over the stock mail app. You do an update & when I go back in to the app, I find all my accounts are gone & I have start at the beginning. So be it! I am gone. Got no time to start this up again & now have lost all my saved email. If that is the way you work , you can do without me !!!!!
They updated the app and logged all my accounts out. I have no idea how to log back in. This is only one of many issues ive had. I would not recommend this to my enemies.
Free App w/ HUGE Strings Attached 2/5
Bluemail is a free app, but comes with a price: your privacy.
Let me say that I'm a server administrator for a small web and email server. I wanted a great email program other than the stock iOS Mail app. I gave Bluemail a try. It took me almost two weeks to realize what they were doing.
I've detected that they 1) have my email and password, 2) download all my email messages as soon as they're sent to me, 3) send themselves a copy of every message I send through the Bluemail app.
How? They establish a persistent connection to the IMAP server associated with my email account. When you send a message in the Bluemail app, they send a copy to their server hosted in the Amazon Cloud.
If you don't care if Bluemail has every message you receive and send, then it's a great app for you. I really like its interface, but will be removing it very soon. To me, this is an egregious privacy violation. (Of course, they've legally covered themselves in their EULA...)
Won’t login 1/5
By Addison Geek
Having tried the lite version with no success, I installed this app and have encountered the same problem. Even though I generated an app specific password, it still won’t connect; I even tried my password.
What’s strange is that the app header displays “account_setup_account_type_title” as if the code wasn’t finished. On the account setup page, it shows “contact_info_emai...”, “ios_password” for the field names. Even the button to complete the process shows “done_action”.
My iPad Air is running version 11.3.
Love it! 5/5
So far I am so happy that I tried this app. I've tried a few and this one is the most convenient and efficient.
Avoid this app 1/5
I downloaded this app because I was excited to use its due not disturb feature turning my email notifications off during certain times or days. I had the settings configured to be turned off all weekend... so of course I was notified all weekend whenever and email came in. Then I had my emails turned off at night...but decided tonight I needed to check to see if a certain email had come in after hours. It had. So I clicked on the email. And it disappeared, I could see the email but unable to read it (because my after hours DND was activated...). Annoying and frustrating. Don’t download.
Doesn't work 1/5
I use this on Android, or did, but it won't even let me add a Gmail account here on iOS. Guess I'm giving up on it with both platforms.
My favorite email client, Can not get to work on iOS 4/5
My favorite email client, Can not get to work on iOS
On Android it's Super
But with my iOS 10.0.1 iPhone 6s it does not log in to my IMAP account.
So sad bought the iPhone thinking blue mail works.
All other apps including outlook works very well with same settings.
I've done manual settings too but no use.
Please can you fix. I'm not interested in updating my iOS
Sorry about 4 star
Should have been 5 if it works on iOS 10
I love this app 5/5
This app is everything I need and more for my 4 accounts! I hardly use my PC ever since I started using it a year ago! I tested all apps out there, and bluemail is by the best. Thank you devs!
Not what it used to be 1/5
I used to LOVE BlueMail. About three weeks ago it started acting strange. Then it wouldn’t sync up and fetch email from Gmail. I sent the BlueMail team my issue and NO response. Then, after about a week it started to sync and fetch PERIODICALLY, but at the SAME time it quit sending push notifications when emails came in. I sent the BlueMail team ANOTHER message and still no reply. A couple of days later, I got a handful of push notifications over the course of an hour or so and then it quit. This time I went to their website an sent a THIRD message to their support team letting them know what my issues were and that I had deleted and re-downloaded the most recent version a couple of times and none of my issues were fixed. It has been days and days and days of the app not working and NO ONE giving a CUSS about it, so I’ve deleted it and moved on to an app
named after the inventor of the incandescence light bulb and couldn’t be happier! Move on, nothing to see here. You’ll be glad you did.
Strange Errors 2/5
I like it to begin with but I've been trying to add my yahoo account as well as my old hotmail account. Yahoo won't connect in my iPhone but works fine on my iPad. When I try to add my hotmail it sends the app into a flat spin and I'll have to delete the app to make it stop. It's a shame because it seems to have potential.
Starting over again in my search for a decent mail app for iOS.
Great app, but new flaw 1/5
Any attachments I get crash the app when I try to save it to my iPhone 8+ I love everything else, but this issue is messing me up bad! No answer from support. Uninstalling....
Love until .... 1/5
.... now. As of recently, every time I click on the app, it crashes and closes out. I can't access any email within this app. Please resolve this. I don't want to have to delete the app.
Best in it’s field. 5/5
I was using Edison mail app for years, but that became very “buggy”.
I discovered this app, and love it. Only wish that I had discovered it earlier.
Quick & Easy.
Needs WAY too much improvement 1/5
I was very excited to see BlueMail on IOS for you can not beat this app on Android. It’s the best email client in google play yet it heavily fall short on Apple 👎🏾. There is no read or delivery report, you can’t rearrange your emails, it lags badly and sometimes errors ALOT in loading emails. This is beta compare to its Android counterparts and the key features I love so dearly on my Samsung does not exist in the IOS world. I will give a better rating once in the least they add the read/delivery feature on here.
The standard for Apple Watch email 5/5
Free quick and easy? Has everything I need it to do and no fat, sends push notifications to my Apple Watch without any extra purchases, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best iOS/Android email client 5/5
By A random nickname 65543
I’ve tried many different email clients on my iPad (Mail, Spark, Outlook, Postbox, etc.) and BlueMail is by far the best in my opinion. Clean interface, fast reaction to push messages/notification, enough customization options (without getting silly), and multi platform support (I used iOS and Android devices). I’ve paid a few bucks for worse email clients, I can’t believe this is a free app - it shouldn’t be.
Only suggestion is the need for real html text editing for sending emails and signatures (e.g., font, text size, color) - hopefully that’s in the works for the next update, and won’t lag too much for Androids 😉 after iOS.
Block spam doesn't work 3/5
I like the app but am aggravated the block spam doesn't work! Grrr!
Blue email 5/5
Best one yet
Love it so far 5/5
Love the "dark mode" option and the ease with which I can switch between accounts.
Has Potential 3/5
I really like this App, however there are a couple of quirks that keep it from getting a five star rating. 1) Background App refresh does not work, the App does not update on its own. If I read emails on another device or my computer, BlueMail does not update unread count on a different device. In fact, I have to manually force App to update. 2) Some emails do not show any body and it can be difficult to get the App to show the email properly. This is an occasional problem for me but a common occurrence for my wife.
Very frustrating 1/5
I very much wanted to like this app, but I find it way to frustrating to receive so many emails with no main body content. Only a header and a blank page is received. Refreshing the app does not help, nor does restarting the app. I have given up and gone back to Google gmail app.
It’s too laggy, I cant see sum of my mails and it keeps lagging
In my line of work, email is critical. I need an app that is 100% reliable. I've used BlueMail on both android and apple devices for at least two years and probably longer. Messages and sent and received without issue. Moreover, I appreciate the option that allows you to choose the size of your photo when sending images.
Very good 5/5
By Yossie f
Loved it for a little while 3/5
I like that you can get notifications for incoming email and do action task for clusters of emails from the same sender but when I go on he desktop those emails are still there. Aside from that annoyance it also takes so long for the email body or text to once you click on the email, at times, for over a minute or two. Would have been a good way to chip at clearing my inbox.
Great app... some issues 4/5
Like everything about this app but Push notifier from (GoDaddy hosted) Office365 is problematic. It's also very slow to download from this source vs. other apps. I'll keep using it because I like the dark theme.
No gSync Support 1/5
Does not support gSync through Exchange (which is supported with paid gApps accounts).
Not Optimized for iPhone X 3/5
I absolutely loved this email app on my Android, but recently switched to iPhone. Gave the app 3 stars because it’s not optimized for iPhone X! Hopefully the app developers are working on a fix!
Just okay 3/5
Get my gMail but is a bit awkward to sort through inbox and have been unsuccessful in setting up my godaddy mail on iOS yet got it to work on android device
Like it, but... 4/5
I am a little disappointed that the ability to search for a target folder when moving email is missing from the iPhone version (vs the Android version).
Love it, but can't add Yahoo account. 3/5
I tried several email apps for my personal email addresses and liked BlueMail the best. Unfortunately, I can't connect my Yahoo account. I've tried adjusting my Yahoo security levels waiting a couple of days and trying again, with no luck :(
If I could add Yahoo, this would easily be a 5-star rating.
Absolutely garbage 1/5
Refuses to fetch my mail. Background mode is on and fetch mode is enabled. Waited 40mins to get a test email...Why did Alto have to discontinue their app????
When this issue is fixed I'll revise my review to 5 stars because the app is good.
No cloud sync? 3/5
By Bee Kay1
The app doesn't appear to sync between devices like the Spark email app does. Huge disadvantage. Also not mentioned in their FAQ section.
The mail app to get and keep. 5/5
Dear Devs. ,
In the last several years, several email apps have closed their doors. I’m assuming it’s because they’re not making any money. One of my email apps chose to charge a whopping 50$/year to avoid closing. You and your families deserve to live well - not just get buy. Just let us know a little before you raise the numbers.
It seems it’s alway the ones that close down.
Email disappears. Avoid this app. Has potential but no data integrity. 1/5
Email disappears. Avoid this app. Has potential but no data integrity.
Blue Mail 5/5
Very useful features, except for deleting drafts. 2/5
My favorite feature of all has to be the ability to tap an email and have all emails from that sender be listed. It's great for finding all that spam from Best Buy and being able to delete them all with one more tap. With that feature, alone, if the rest of the app simply behaved as any other email app, it would worth five golden stars.
There are two bugs/flaws, however, that have me contemplating uninstalling the app in a huff. One is minor, where all third-party keyboards sometimes aren't recognized and I have to bring up Apple's kindergarten keyboard in order to be able to type something.
The other flaw is in the app's not saving my drafts as I type them. Now, it's not often that I'll complain about something I downloaded for free, but this is exasperating. I spend 30 minutes on an email, then need to put the iPad down for a minute, and find out when I come back that the draft wasn't autosaved. Is this the 21st century or not? If there are no plans to fix this glaring oversight, I'll be uninstalling.
In sum, I hope other email app creators copy Blue for what it does right. Conversely, I hope Blue catches up where it needs to.
best email ever! 5/5
All I can say is try it, and you will never use another email again, this one is THE BEST!
