As a foreigner, visiting from the United States, my experience with bolt has been a 7/10. I use Bolt mostly in Romania. My experience with the drivers are a hit and miss. Some drive out of control and some are safe. I would recommend making it a requirement for Bolt Drivers to know English as well no matter what country Bolt is offered in only because there will always be travelers from the U. S. Being able to communicate with the passenger makes the ride more fun and safe. As for the app, it is easy to navigate. I like how you can see where and who the driver is. I like how you are also able to track your ride as you go along.

I've been using this service in Azerbaijan for three years. Over that time the quality has gotten worse and worse. It generally takes about five or six tries to actually get a driver to show up. Most of the time they never move, or else get to a place and then stop without responding to calls or messages. Worst is when they call and ask you to cancel – if you cancel too many times Bolt locks you out of the app (great customer service!). It's really a very frustrating experience. My suspicion is that part of the problem with the service is that they pay their drivers almost nothing. For example, a 15 minute ride might cost 1.75 USD, depending on the time of day. I'd gladly pay four times this if I only had to request a driver once and if the car had a seat belt when it arrived.

Don’t trust this app!!!
We booked a ride from downtown Amsterdam to the airport. The app said the driver was 4 minutes away. After 10 minutes of waiting, the driver was 12 minutes away. He was heading out of town, away from us.
We eventually hailed a taxi.
This app is a disaster. There is no guarantee that a driver will come and pick you up.

Twice the app shows incorrect gos information so the driver goes to the wrong location. Bolt refuse to acknowledge the problem and instead charge you additional wait time fees. Even worse a driver may cancel your trip and charge you full amount plus wait charges. Do not use unless you wish to pay more than other services due to these hidden fees. Customer support is terrible. Drivers are excellent which is why I give 2 stars. Bolt customer service is zero stars

Worked great in Lisbon. Did not work at all in London. I tried a few times and it just kept picking a driver, then another, then another. I don’t know if all the drivers were refusing but it they were simple point to point trips within London. When a driver did accept, he was apparently on another trip. The app said the wait was 12 minutes, then 15, then 11. Just a complete waste of time. I don’t write many reviews but I hope I can save others a lot of wasted time.

I had to catch an early flight out of Schipol airport (Amsterdam). Customer service assured me the night before that there would surely be drivers available to get me to my flight on time. Come morning, I booked a car, but woe and behold, there were no drivers available. Luckily, in my skepticism, I had left enough time buffer to scramble to the local train station so I could catch a bus.
Incredibly frustrating experience.

The app works well, minus the tipping feature being limited to 15 minutes after your ride.
Often, such as at the airport, the first 15 minutes after leaving the vehicle is busy and I don’t open my phone until I’m able to. I’d still like to tip a good driver, but the app needlessly blocks tipping.

I ordered a motorbike taxi and as soon as the motorbike got to my pick up location I set on the back seat put on the provided helmet I then picked up my legs to put them on the leg rest and burned my leg on the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe did not have an insulating guard (a normal guard that is found on motorbikes).
Bold should insure that all taxis are safe for customers.

First, you request a ride and wait up to 25 minutes for a driver to be selected, then when they finally select one for you, the driver is over 15 minutes away. Needed a ride to my bus on a Friday morning at 8:30, began searching for rides at 7:30 and was unable to find a ride in an hour, and on top of that the app blocked my card which works perfectly fine. If you can, don’t rely on this app, it’s terrible.

I was charged for a ride that happened without me. The ride was completed to the destination despite the fact that I was not a passenger. I reached out immediately to the customer support team, who professionally requested indisputable proof of my absence on the ride. My explanation was deemed inadequate, so I'm left having paid for both the fraudulent Bolt ride and my actual transportation need.
Though I appreciate the timely communication I received, I strongly caution any user who uses this ride service. I would not recommend this application to any of my friends and colleagues.

Your drivers are no longer using the price in the app they said it’s because of fuel increment.....especially Osogbo driver too likes begging and if you say No to them, they’ll say you should cancel the ride.
