I think you guys should make an app for the wonder boom
Please fix bug 4/5
Hey guys I’ve been using this app for almost two years but I just got the update yesterday and the 2-up works but now my music gets chopped up and skipped over a few seconds now plz fix thanks
New update is boomin... 5/5
I’m impressed with the level of ease.
After a year 2/5
A complete hell. I have four of the Megabooms. We are going to fix it soon. Says the app. Yah. Right. Maybe next year. The app that makes stereo. Power down. Go to settings. Forget this device power down. Restart. Repeat. No one solution. Nice result but not for the casual consumer.
Can't sync 2 speakers 1/5
By The Doc80
Super unreliable to sync two speakers in double or stereo mode. I am afraid to even touch my phone when paired properly as any smallest glitch will stop the connection with one or both speakers. I paid $$$ for two speakers but i can't even pair them. Want my money back!!!!
Cuts out 1/5
I am about to break this speaker. It keeps cutting out during workouts. No reason. Just drops out mid song. No other connections. This thing is just junk tech.
App doesn't recognize 2/5
So far as I understand, my app doesn't recognize my Megaboom 3 since I renamed it using the app. As a result, the alarm I set plays daily and I am having trouble connecting it to turn the alarm off. I am doing what the connecting instructions say in the order it tells me to do them in, but it doesn't take me to the megaboom control panel.
New App Update Can’t Turn On MEGABOOM 2/5
I was forced to update and afterwards I was unable to power up MegaBoom after the update, prior my Bluetooth connection was persistent and I could turn on my speaker connection from the app, now I have to reestablish my Bluetooth iPhone settings connection first.
Help 😕 4/5
It doesn’t show my speaker in the app and sometimes it disconnects by its self this app needs another update but I really do like this app it just doesn’t let me connect to the app
App Doesn’t open up speaker menu without closing itself out every time 1/5
Recognizes speaker, when I click on the speaker in app, speaker shows up for one sec and drops out of frame. I can’t access the speaker through the app.
Best speaker 5/5
I love the sound and dude I know that one didn’t work but U E boom 2 works
This app stinks 1/5
I’ve had nothing but problems with this app. Doesn’t want to connect to my mega booms and when it does it keeps disconnecting. Having this happen during a party repeatedly is embarrassing. Give me the old app at least that on worked for more than 5 minutes.
Randomly shuts off. Can’t find speakers. 1/5
Have tried this and deleted several times over the last year. I love hosting a party and then having everything randomly shut down so I keep trying. Bluetooth iOS boom who knows but it doesn’t work well for very long.
I like the new app, but... 1/5
By Dirge Factor
I have the mega boom and I use it when going out of town, or to the beach, etc, The old App would turn off remote power, Now it seems that whenever I need it the battery is depleted because it is on a low level discharge because of the Bluetooth remote! Please make it an option in your new software?? When I need it it is dead!
Make it work with Spotify 5/5
Would like alarm to work with Spotify. Thanks v much
This is my second UE Boom 2 and it’s failed again after only roughly 3 months of limited use. Same as before, it will not connect via Bluetooth to my phone. Whether it’s the speaker or app, I will not be getting a third UE Boom 2. Guess I have to give it one star just because it’s impossible to give anything no stars
Good luck! 2/5
Have spent hours attempting to pair them up and block party.
the 2 I have worked flawlessly using thebuttons 3 times.... and then nothing but frustration. Support keeps sending the same instructions over & over - which finally worked once - and back to the beginning once you turn them off. ... and app doesn't match up well the instructions.
the speakers themselves are excellent - fortunately you can still wire them to a source
Bad update, I am guessing. 1/5
Got my Mega Boom 3 speaker a few months back and used this app from the beginning. The app seemed to be working fine. With in the last few weeks the app will turn on the speaker but doesn’t recognize the speaker. I deleted the app and speaker from my IPhone and re-installed them both again. I was able to link the speaker to my iPhone. However, now I can’t link the app with the speaker because the app still isn’t recognizing the speaker. What gives?
sometimes works sometimes bugs out 2/5
I often have to redownload this app because it doesn’t always work. I recently was trying to connect speakers and it wouldn’t recognize that I had other speakers. I was a bit annoyed. And had to redownload it, but it now seems like the app is even worse. I don’t know if the developers know but it is really whack and doesn’t even recognize that I have a speaker connected in the app, let alone show that I have another one to connect it to. I don’t know how this happens, but it’s very finicky.
This would be 5 stars if fixed 1/5
I have these speakers in my shop that. Use every day to play music for customers. I loved these speakers until the latest update now they hardly work. Please undo whatever you did in the latest update and get this issue resolved quickly
Doesn’t work 1/5
By Bad bad ba
Used this for a good amount of time with no issues but latest update broke the app. Won’t connect to some speakers any more no matter what I try. I hoped it would be fixed but 2+ months now with nothing. Avoid.
Can’t delete boom from device. 3/5
Don’t know how to delete boom from app once I’ve synced it. A Boom that I tried keeps coming up on the app and I can’t delete it. The cool things is you can power on and off the boom from the phone. You can also see what your battery life is like. Also, I feel like this update changed the quality of my boom 1 a bit.... which I really like... a lot. I have to say honestly that this boom one still has qualities that the boom 3 doesn’t. I like my boom 1 more. I even went into an Apple store to listen to the boom 3 and the wonderboom side by side, and the wonderboom blew the boom 3 away..... what’s happening?
App and party mode does not work 1/5
Spent about an hour trying to get this working with party mode and it was very cumbersome. The app kept crashing and was extremely slow performance with the connections to the speakers. I decided to return the extra mega boom speakers as a result.
Remote Power Battery Life 2/5
By CHA05 R31GN5
The older MegaBoom App allowed the user to enable/disable the Remote Power option for the speaker. This has an impact on battery life and is n’t a necessary feature if you sparingly use your speaker. With it enabled, which was default as disabled, then the speaker is in a power saving state but “listening” for requests to power on. For this to occur, then extra energy is required. If the Remote Power feature is disabled, then the speaker has a full shutdown and not using extra battery capacity which shortens its life. UE, or should I say Logitech, has removed this user feature from the app and enabled it by default in the firmware. Factory resetting does not disable the Remote Power feature as was the default disabled option in older firmware. Really, this is another obsolescence move by a cheap company who had a good name until they sold to Logitech. Good job with ruining your brand name, Ultimate Ears. SELLOUT!
Update Stinks.... 1/5
Ever since new update Party up for my 2 UE does not work. I even try what web site says and pair with out app and nothing. UE are not talking. Also gone is the ability to remove stand by mde that drains the battery. Old version it was an option now gone. Logitech has the worst apps and worst customer service and worst legacy support.
Inconsistent app with lots of flaws 2/5
Great concept and idea but the part where it works it’s inconsistent. These things are suppose to be able to play up to and over 150 speakers simultaneously. After the second day of being able to test this feature (because I finally got another speaker to utilize the pairing of speakers) it won’t even connect to one of them. All and all if the app doesn’t work with the speakers I believe that I may return it and grab something that sounds better for the price and with a charging port!
Not functional app 1/5
Keeps hiding speaker settings so you cant do anything other than see battery power
App continues to have problems 1/5
I used to tell my friends to get these speakers so we can pair them, but most of the time the app won’t work. I love to pair my 3 speakers and my friends speakers but this app is terrible. It drops the speakers and will not always work-even turning one speaker on doesn’t even work. When I listen to one speaker I don’t use this flawed app because it doesn’t work. It’s too bad cause I love listening to all of my awesome mega boom speakers. Please fix. Zero stars.
Connectivity issues all the time 1/5
Constantly speed more time trying to connect or re connect because the speakers always drop connection
Decent App 4/5
By Mikie H
Last year they replaced the wonderful App they had with the current style. The current style has made great strides in becoming like the older App.
I wonder what happened to their aesthetically pleasing and functioning App? It’s almost like the designers left the company and prevented access to the build.
Although the nice graphics from before haven’t been replaced, all the functionality of the previous style are back and working fairly well!
Useless app! Does not work! 1/5
Not sure why I would download this app. I’m connected to the speaker but when I open the app I can see that I’m connected but everything is at the bottom of my screen, almost hiding. When I tap on it, it comes up like I would expect, but then quickly disappears back to the bottom rendering it useless. Very disappointing!
Boom 3 4/5
By Bob 4200
Over all a good waterproof wireless speaker. No auxiliary input tho which I don’t mind that much. One cool feature is if you press the volume up & volume down buttons at the same time it tells you how much battery is left. The app tells you exactly how much battery is left. What would be cool is if the speaker told you exactly how much battery is left! Let’s say you have 86% battery left the speaker would tell you you have 80% battery left. You’d have to use the app to check how much is left exactly! Other than that it’s an awesome speaker with a long lasting 12 hour battery life. Worth the money !
Recently Update 1/5
Just updated to the new version and can not connect my mega boom 3. Used to work now doesn’t. Need to fix this.
Disappointed 😞 3/5
I really had big hopes of this seamless app+BLE connect not to mention I’m a previous Sony user. The reviews show the Boom and MegaBoom outperforming the Bose of similar size. So I went for it!!! Sound quality is very solid. But any device I have connect will at random times just loose connection. My primary device is IOS 12 which has been an absolute nightmare since the upgrade 12.2. Hope the next update fixes these bugs 🐜.
Trash app 1/5
My speakers constantly disconnect from the device and reconnect and try to power up when they connect and are already on. They dont link effectively and constantly look for other devices to connect to. I miss the old app
Synced to my new ue boom, downloaded the app, and I can see my device listed - but the settings are totally inaccessible because they immediately auto-collapse every time I open them.
There’s no app for the womderboom! I had it for my IPhone 7 now I can’t connect it in anyway.
Didn’t work 1/5
I paired my smartphone with my boom 2, app never recognized the pairing and would not open. Waste of time. All I want to do is turn down the on/off startup sound on the boom speaker, I read this app would be able to fix it.
By John Cena lols😂
I use this app a lot with my boom and I feel like it gets unneeded hate. I really like how you can turn you speaker on by just using your phone
A software update in which you could be able to restart songs and skip backwards by only using the speaker. The current feature of being able to play/pause and skip forwards kinda seems lackluster for speaker costing north of a hundred and forty dollars.
Siri has an issue 3/5
When pressing the Bluetooth button on the speaker Siri is not able to recognize my voice. The microphone doesn’t seem to pick up my voice with Siri. Please fix this bug with an update! Everything else seems fine with the speaker! The volume is loud enough but Siri isn’t able to hear from the speaker. If Siri is enabled from the phone or with the hot word the phone is able to pick up the command and the feedback comes back from the speakers.
App is 100% useless 1/5
Can no longer control my Megaboom through this app from my iPhone X. Mega fail on Ultimate Ears developers. Have tried removing, repairing, reinstalling and all have been the same result. Would be grateful if a developer could reach to help resolve this matter.
Glitch in device Bluetooth naming 3/5
The app is showing a “-“ in the Bluetooth name even though there isn’t a dash in the name. For example, I named my device JH_Boom and it displays at JH_-Boom in the app. The actual Bluetooth name on iOS displays as JH_Boom though so it only seems to be an issue in the Boom app.
No Wonderboom Support 1/5
Please provide wonderboom software support. The noises associated with all actions on this speaker make it a; DO NOT BUY. Sadly, such a solid speaker, but with such miserable UX. Please fix.
Clumsy app - stereo mode unreliable 2/5
The app is quite clumsy. It hangs on the open page for a few minutes before I can even get into the configuration page.
Once I finally do - it takes multiple attempts to get both of my boom speakers to connect
Won’t let me select speaker 1/5
Installed and connected to my UE Boom, and I can see the speaker in the list of connected devices. But when I try to select the speaker, it expands the device view up and then immediately closes it back down. Have tried on iPhone and iPad, both on current iOS version.
Ehh, it’s OK... 3/5
I read a review that matched up the Bose Soundlink Mini 2 against the UE Megaboom 3 with the MB3 coming out on top in most categories. This convinced me to go buy the MB3 after thinking about it for several weeks. I happen to have both speakers. Ehhh, NO. The Bose still sounds better IMHO. The most notable thing was that the MB3 lacks bass, even when cranking up the bass on the custom EQ. And the frustrating part is the app. While the app is cool to operate your speaker ie: turn it on/off remotely etc. BUT set the EQ to your custom settings and when done with the speaker, turn it off with the app then turn the speaker back on and guess what! The app does NOT save your custom EQ settings to memory. Nowhere in the app settings can you save your custom EQ to memory. I turned the speaker on and off several times just to make sure and sure enough, those custom EQ settings were gone every time. This was a major pain. Portable speakers like these will never fill a room full of REALLY LOUD music; I get that. But at least make it crank the bass so it won’t sound like music coming from a tin can. That’s why Bose is Bose folks... UE, set those custom EQ settings to memory and hopefully a firmware update will take care of the lack of bass...
No Wonderboom? 1/5
Have not experienced a fully functional app 1/5
iOS 12(any version I’m convinced)+UE BOOM app= serious disappointment.
2 years as proud Boom owner, but only because of the quality and durability of the BLE speakers themselves. I’ve yet to experience this app as functionality has been very limited from my first download, only to decrease with every update released. Now the app is useless once a connection is established. The display for the speaker seems to go into a sort of ‘hiding mode’ towards the bottom of my display. A press on the speaker name will bring the HUD back up and as fast as my finger is removed.... the HUD goes back into hiding. I really hope Logitech gets this as if the speakers worked like the app.... I’d probably own a JBL Flip4 (ugh) or such.
