Doesn’t work anymore 1/5
Worked for few months but now can’t connect this app to my speaker.. speaker is connected and will play Spotify but the ue boom app won’t find any speaker so no remote on off or equalizer controls so basically completely worthless app.. hope the speaker lasts a bit longer than the companies app.. not impressed with the company.
Zero Stars 1/5
I have 3 megabooms and just bought 2 boom2's as a stereo system for my boat. Updated all 5. After 2 hours I finally got 4 to play for about 15 seconds. App is useless. Now I've got to find the boxes and send them back. Party up 200???????How about you can get 5 to work before you start advertising ridiculous statements like that.
Updates, but rarely syncs multiple speakers 2/5
This app is difficult to use at best; while it’s a decent way to check on the battery life or push wireless updates to your speaker, the ‘party up’ feature is a joke. 9 times out of 10, no amount of turning on/off or resetting is enough to get it to work.
Drained my iPhone battery 1/5
I have no idea why this app was running in the background, non-stop for the past 12 hours. My phone was warm and ran out of battery within 4 hours. One look at my battery usage and this app was the culprit. Deleted the app as soon as I determined the cause and now my phone is running as normal. For reference, I have an iPhone XR and it’s less than a month old.
Instructions horrible 1/5
I wish I could return the boom 2 but was gift. Instructions are waste of time and app keeps asking to reboot honestly why would a company not try to write good instructions and make sure the product works? Will not recommend
Great app! 4/5
I am a huge fan of the line of UE Boom speakers (I have one megaboom and one megaboom 3) and this app makes them so much better. I love pairing them and listening to my music much louder. I just wish you could move the speakers a little farther apart for outdoor uses. Also, the app does sometime get a little laggy, but that is more Bluetooth’s fault than anything.
The reason I gave the app 4 stars is the equalizer function. It’s works, but it takes away the volume of the speakers. These speakers don’t have a ton of bass and I wish you could add some without taking away the volume.
P.S. If Ultimate Ears reads this review, PLEASE make a boom subwoofer to pair with my speakers. They just need more bass.
Powering back on 4/5
Sadly my new boom 3 will not power back on from the option in my iPhone app. I love everything else but wish all my features would work like they did on my Boom2
New update is bad 2/5
After this new update i can never turn my speaker on from my phone, it says that it is unable to find my megaboom
Great app! But 1 bug 4/5
I love this app, I’ve had my speakers for a little over a year now and I’ve never had this problem before but when I have both of my mega booms connected to the party and they are synced once I play music, every 15-45 seconds there will be a very small and brief cut out from the 2nd speaker. Not the “home” speaker. It’s the one acting as a “receiver” to the 1st speaker. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, and factory resetting both speakers but the little bug continues to happen. I’ve also swapped the speakers so that the “receiver” was the “home” and vise versa for the other speaker but the problem consists. Both of my speakers have been updated too. It’s not my phones Bluetooth because all other things work fine and 1 speaker will not have the bug. And the speakers are not too far apart, they are just ~14 feet apart. Any help?
Please make this app compatible with Alexa and above all get remote turn on working I hate having to leave my bed in the morning before listening to music
Party up is impossible 1/5
I set up 2 mega boom speakers for party up and It worked for 2 days and then it stopped. I have been trying to set the speakers up again for 4 hours. I give up. I am going to return one if I cant get help from a live person at apple.
Can’t access speaker settings 1/5
Every time I press the speaker it will not show the controls or settings but it will just go away
It don't work no more 1/5
By The Breadstix
Used to be a dope app, worked very well, but I can't turn on the speaker or change the volume on my phone anymore after last update (so basically this app does nothing). Feels bad, deleted app.
App not working anymore! 1/5
I used to love the app I would turn off/on my speaker with the app on my phone and I would change music or use the volume to control the speaker through my phone but ever since the last update the app is not functional anymore. My phone is connected to the speaker but I can no longer use the app. Every time I go to the app it prompts me to connect speaker but my speaker is already connected and still works fine. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I disconnected my speaker and reconnected but nothing has worked and So the app is pointless now.
I was expecting the worst 5/5
I read some bad reviews but decided to give it a shot. I was Ted to play music to multiple speakers. Updated the Megaboom over Bluetooth. Updated the original Boom over USB on the Mac and it all worked great. App is working perfect. Stereo sound is awesome.
The first version of this app that isn't horrible or ugly and also seems to work, even with multiple speakers.
Great sound 3/5
Great sound, however each day trying to pair my two speakers is becoming a difficult process. Sometimes they pair up easily and sometimes not so easily. This morning it took me a half hour. My Blue Tooth on my phone was not recognizing one of the speakers. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalling it. It did not help much. The app says I have the latest version of the operating system. Very frustrating. I cant imagine trying to connect more speakers to the system.
Bad app 1/5
Worst app I have ever had the displeasure to experience.
While my iPhone Max S connects easily to both of my Megaboom speakers (one at a time), the app will not detect either speaker.
I purchased an additional speakers hoping that the party up feather would connect both speakers but it will not even recognize one speakers.
The app won’t allow me to update my speaker
Bluetooth Issues 3/5
My UE BOOM won’t connect to my bluetooth with my new phone and it’s so frustrating because I would use my speaker everyday with my old phone.. For some reason my UE BOOM won’t connect to my phone no matter how many times I reset my phone, refresh the app, etc. & sadly I’ve only had my UE BOOM for a year in a half or so.. Although, when it was connecting it played amazing!
Poor with 2 UE Boom speakers 1/5
Very poor in managing two UE Boom speakers. Both connected via Bluetooth and iPad recognizes them as connected, but this app has a lot of trouble pairing them.
Poorly Thought Out and executed 1/5
If you pair your Megaboom before you download this app you wont be able to use the app at all. So stupid.... SMH
ue has an app for EVERY speaker except the wonderboom! 1/5
ridiculous! this app includes another app for every other Ultimate Ears Speaker except their most popular option. The wonder boom! Instead of updating their apps they should focus on making a wonder boom app! I’d like if possible to know from the developer when this will be released!
Good job 5/5
Firts of all when i purchase the speaker i did not know of this app , and wow i can equalize se batt percent , i did update the speaker etc very useful and the best i dont have to walk to the speaker anymore to turn it on thumbs up !!!!!
Upgrade please! 3/5
When are you gonna add the wonder boom I heard so many great things about your speakers and I bought the wonder boom thinking I could do the same things but no it’s still not included
Miss the old ease of use on previous booms 1/5
I’m not sure who’s designing this app, but it’s completely haywire. My phone says it’s connected, but it still says waiting. Holding the top power botton no longer kills the power anymore, it says make sure app is open and in range. A lot of times the app doesn’t even know it’s connected and just says ‘waiting’.
This by no means is a review of the product, which sounds good, but the garbage software that goes with it. Hopefully future updates will fix this.
Great sound 5/5
Haven’t had any issues with the app. love that I can listen to my audio on two speakers on different ends of my house. Amazing sound, love taking my speaker to the beach 😁
Doesn’t work well with ios 1/5
By Aspen Girly
This app doesn’t seem to work very well with iPhones. It doesn’t want to connect to multiple speakers. It always has trouble and most of the time I have to give up trying to make it work.
I used this app with a MegaBoom and it worked fine. I recently upgraded to a MegaBoom 3, made sure I had all the software updates on the app, and iOS, and the speaker will not connect.
Bigger fan of the boom series speakers now then when we bought them two years ago. The new app made our speakers seamless and easy to use. Love the remote pair and remote wake.
Worked great for 2 days 1/5
Works great until the app stops working. I have deleted and reinstalled and disconnected my Bluetooth many times, nothing works. I can’t wait for this issue to be fixed because the app is great otherwise
EQ doesn’t work now 2/5
By Ryan is not very happy
The new app is nice stylistically but the main thing I used the app for before was to go between music and voice eq. I liked this for switching between music and podcasts.
App not connecting 3/5
My phone is connected to the speaker and I am able to play music on the speaker. However, when I go to the app it tells me I need to connect to the speaker to use the app. It is not recognizing that I am already connected to the speaker.
Doesn’t recognize when Bluetooth is connected 2/5
Never had a problem with the old version. This version can’t seem to recognize when the speaker is already in use. It keeps asking me to go enable Bluetooth WHILE IM LISTENING TO MUSIC. And there’s no way to get past that screen. Utterly worthless.
So very frustrating... 2/5
It seems like I have to reconnect my speakers each time I want to use the app. And to use the Party Up feature it causes me more frustration as it takes 10 minutes to get all my speakers connected, I get a second or third connected and it drops the first one. This should not be so difficult to use. When it works I love it, but getting it to that point is not as easy as it sounds.
Don’t install it 1/5
Version 3 here ruined my UE2 Megaboom speaker. It now distorts at any and all volumes and refuses to hold a charge. No undo for a firmware bug. Version 2 software on my other iOS device produces no distortion but can’t fix the charging problem. Super unprofessional. Note the App Support link here leads to a dead page. No help on the web site. I wish my Apple HomePod was portable.
By Phil Frakes
I have both mega and the older it wants me to update my UE BOOM WITH A COMPUTER who has that any more I have a phone and a tablet fig out a different way your apps have low ratings because there junk
App doesn’t work again 1/5
I got my boom 2 last year. The app had a lot of problems and didn’t let me use my speaker. They had an update Late 2018 and it started working great. I had full functionality. Now it’s January 2019 and my app won’t connect to my speaker. The speaker isn’t worth it unless the app works properly to be honest.
Needs work. 2/5
Speaker is decent but this app can’t find my speaker half the time standing within 6 feet. Then the displayed power has been incorrect, closing down within five minutes after I look and see 16% left.
Remote on option removed 3/5
Why remove a feature that allowed users to choose between battery drain and ease of use?
Needs work 2/5
With this new version the ability to enable/disable remote on function has been removed and seems to be stuck permanently on for all 4 of my speakers.
Stopped working 3/5
I really liked it until it stopped finding my speaker. No matter what I do it can’t connect. Help
Own 2 UE Boom & 1 UE Megaboom 5/5
Bought both our daughters a UE Boom 3 years ago. Used theirs on fishing trips & at the lake so my husband & bought us a Megaboom. Sometimes outdoors isn’t loud enough with wind but love the portability & never had problems!!
This works so much better for voiceover users. 4/5
Finally after a year or two of waiting, this app works almost perfectly with voiceover again. I love the fact that I can turn on and off my speakers from my iPhone. I also like the fact that I can rename my speakers without having to ask a sighted person for help. Thank you for the completely redesigned and mostly voiceover friendly update. I am editing this update a little bit. I now have both a BOOM and a Boom 2 speaker. I followed instructions for the double up and party up features, but it doesn’t work. The firmware on both speakers is up-to-date. Also, the party up feature is completely inaccessible to voiceover users. The way that you have it set up for a user to drag the speaker into some kind of drawer does not work because voiceover does not announce that there is a drawer at all.
How do I use this? 1/5
By Dan Tomassi
I’ve had my UE for 5 years and now the App won’t work. It keeps telling me to update my subscription preferences and won’t give me access to changing preferences on speaker settings.
Does not work 1/5
The app can’t find my speaker.
Worked fine for awhile.
What’s up with that ?!!!
Not compatible with the UE Wonderboom 1/5
I want to disable these obnoxiously loud startup/shutdown noises (as well as all playback sounds) like I did with my UE boom 2 but it’s impossible. I’d say this app is pretty useless if it can’t connect to my speaker. Not to mention how this company puts out 3 apps and non of them work.
The alarm is back. 5/5
Back to 5 stars
Works fine. No complaints. 5/5
Like I said :)
