It’s nice to have Google out of my life. So, Brave is great.
It is just kind of awkward and choppy, for lack of a better word.
First of alk, the Summarizer Feature is almost always wrong because it takes bits of information from an article or group of articles and strings them together into false information. For example, from article about how the Met Museum removed the Sackler name from its Dandur Wing, while the American Museum of Natural History has decided to retain the Sackler name, Summarizer falsely claims that the “American Museum of Natural History has removed the Sackler name from its Temple of Dandur.”
The app should just eliminate the Summarizer function because it is always wrong and contributes to the propagation of misinformation albeit unintentionally.

I love the idea of this app, but I can’t even use it b/c it nonstop crashes on me. I wish I could figure out why but I unfortunately need to switch to a different browser as I haven’t even been able to open this one on a consistent basis for the last month.

Between half loading pages that I have to close brave, re-open and let it crash, then re-open again to load the page. And links not being clickable, actually anything on the webpage not becoming clickable… Brave was great but man, it’s getting worse and worse

at first, the app worked amazingly, i love everything about it, but for some reason now when i try to open it (i have like at max 2-3 bars in my house) and i have bad signal, the app will open, show a black screen for 10-30 seconds, then crash, i love this app, and im pretty sad its not working, developers, pls help!!
Allows Many YouTube Ads Now 3/5

I downloaded the recent update to Brave and now ads are showing up on YouTube when, before, not one ever did.
Not sure what has happened with this current update, but it’s broken.
The main reason I use this browser, is to not be accosted by all those YouTube ads.
Now, Brave is no better than the rest of the browsers out there.
I will go back to Safari and use the ad-blocking apps made specifically for that bowser.

I like that you can open a new tab with ONE tap on the “+” icon at the bottom of screen. It would be helpful to automatically place the cursor in the “Search or enter address” field on the new tab. That would eliminate another TAP. Similar to the “+” icon at the bottom of screen, have a “-“ icon to close the current tab. That would enable closing the current tab with ONE tap as opposed to first LONG PRESS on “tab count” icon then TAP on “Close Tab” option.

Hello! Love Brave! Have as primary on phone and iPad. Have been super pleased with it and the search as well (no more Bing!)! Please take some time to figure out why it constantly crashes since the last update. I mostly notice on iPad, but see on both when there is multiple tabs open. I clear history pretty often, so it is not that. This was not an issue prior to the new feature :(. It happens just browsing a page. Thank you!

I LOVE this browser use it all the time on web, but unfortunately Brave app constantly crashes for me and it's reaching the point where it's becoming unusable. Very sad because this is normally my default, go-to browser for any browsing experience - but I crash several times per browsing session, and this is basically forcing me to switch back to Chrome/Safari. I'm running iOS 15.0.2 on an iphone 8.

Hello I am having trouble navigating through Bookmarks in the app. Could you guys please add a feature that allows for easier bookmark navigation!? Currently, it’s a bit of a hassle because when I create a new folder, I have to scroll all the way to the bottom in order to access it in the bookmark tab. It’d be so much easier if we could access folders in their own tab.
Another feature request I have is a feature that allows for easier navigation for favorites. A person such as I has a plethora of favorites which makes searching and finding a specific saved favorite a hassle of scrolling and navigating.
I know it’s a lot but would like to see these features rolled out as soon as possible. Thank you for reading this message!

When I found out Brave was adding Dark Mode, I was excited and hoping it was similar to what Noir and Dark Reader offered.
To my disappointment it instead uses a similar smart invert feature similar to what iOS has. This means photos can look weird and colors can be off. I’m hoping they eventually go all in on a dark mode rather than pass off smart invert as dark mode which it’s not
Since I don’t make browsers that lack a true dark mode my default browser, I can’t give this more than a 3 star rating. It’s a shame too because they finally added useful features like a good cookie consent notification blocker but without a true dark mode, these other features are meaningless to me

The first week it blocked 99% of ads and pop ups. Lately though, I've been on pages where that's all there is. So bad, every time you try to get to content, an ad pops up just as you click the button and you end up at the ad site. I hope these are rare occurrences because I really like the browser over all. BW
Update 3/14/23 - Can’t figure out how to white list certain sites. It’s concerning because I cant read pdfs on those sites. BW
Enable iOS same option as desktop to stop video auto play 2/5

I reinstalled Brave. The problem I did not have now I do with this site, mydramalist.com, pop-up auto play video is super annoying. But if disabling JavaScript, no images will come through. Any suggestions? Thank you
You asked for details to AppStore. I described the inability to disable the pop-up in settings (choosing private browsing in IOS was not the same as desktop version). The site, mydramalist.com, shows well the pop-up video issue. Thank you!

If only this app didn’t allow being constantly redirected to other websites every time you click on anything leaving you vulnerable to dangerous stuff. For that reason got to let it go. Update I had not even made it my default yet and for some reason on Safari my same site strict enforcement was turned off! What’s up with that? Money perhaps? Don’t know but I will not be using this one again for sure! The constant redirects to other websites seems to me a security risk you could sail an aircraft carrier battle group through!

Dear Brave, I tried that multiple times even before you mentioned it. Clearing cache and cookies DOES NOT DO ANYTHING!

I use Brave on all my devices. It’s built on Chromium, same architecture as Chrome, so all chrome extensions you use work on Brave too. But with built in privacy controls, you have a better browser in my opioid.
