Bumble - Dating & Meet People App

Millions of people have signed up for Bumble to start building valuable relationships, finding friends, and making empowered connections. Creating new connections has never been easier. Bumble is working to lift the stigma of online dating by employing unprecedented standards for respectful behavior. Because of this relentless dedication, millions of people are using Bumble to build valuable relationships every single day. DATING, FRIENDS & NETWORKING Bumble is at the forefront of matchmaking technology by providing an app that allows users to foster more than just romantic connections. The industry-leading app empowers users to swipe through potential connections across three different modes: - Bumble Date: On Bumble Date, women make the first move. We’ve changed the archaic rules of the dating game so that you can form meaningful relationships in a respectful way. - Bumble BFF: Life is better with friends. Whether you’re new to a city or looking to expand your circle, Bumble BFF is the easiest way to make new friends. - Bumble Bizz: Now we’re in business. Use Bumble Bizz to network, find mentors, and create new career opportunities. Bumble is the first app of its kind to bring dating, friend-finding, and career-building into a single social networking platform. CHANGING THE RULES OF THE GAME At Bumble, women make the first move. In heterosexual matches, the woman has 24 hours to make the first move and the man has 24 hours to respond. In same-sex matches, either person has 24 hours to make the first move, while the other individual has 24 hours to respond, or else, the connection expires. By prompting our users to be bold and make the first move we’ve seen over 3 billion messages sent to date. THE BUZZ IS REAL “Bumble exists to empower women...” (Fast Company) “Bumble is just an app: but it’s changing the discussion.” (Wired) “Bumble offers an alternative that prioritises meaningful connections, with women calling the shots:” (UK Sunday Times) “Bumble rejects hate speech to make users feel safe on its dating app” (Texas Standard) “What makes Bumble different from other dating apps...is its focus on giving women all the power. ” (Business Insider) --- Bumble is free to download and use, and that will never change for our main features. Bumble - Dating & Meet People app reviews

  • Unwelcoming customer service and support. 1/5

    By wythomas
As someone that spent the majority of their time on Bumble using the premium version I loved it. I went on multiple dates and met multiple people. However this morning I woke up and found that my account was banned. I was very much put off by this because on bumble women message first, I had been invited by bumble to use a feature in beta, at the time was a Premium member, and was not rude or vulgar to other users on the platform. After contacting support, I was greeted with a message saying that my account is permanently banned with no option to appeal the decision or receive a timed ban instead of a permanent one. With no customer service number, users are left to only talk to support via an email which seems automated to shut down the user and to not fix their issue. Bumbles goal isn't to help its users it's to squander them.
  • So so. Women first messaging is pointless. 2/5

    By ben dover72
It is a completely pointless feature that women must send the first message. What does it accomplish really? If a woman matches with you then obviously there is at least some level of mutual interest and openness to communicate with that person. That’s whole point of matching, what more do you need? Why the added game of wait for the woman to msg? The women message first feature is just a childish game. How about just let people (women!) *decide for themselves* if they want to message first or wait to be messaged rather than dictating how it should happen? I truly cannot understand the purpose or advantage of it. Also there should be more options in the filters. If you’re truly just interested in matching people then do not waste their time by making them swipe through tons of people that they will never be interested in and could simply be filtered out. It is simply inefficient not to offer this. Everyone has their preferences and there is nothing wrong with that, and I’m sure most people would use additional filters to narrow the results. Again, let people decide for themselves.
  • Ideas for app improvement!!! 3/5

    By XX J
I can’t specify my religiousness correctly, so basically I’m an Agnostic Catholic Theist (I believe in a god, but think the bible is just parables). There is no specific option for this so I get lumped in with non-theists, so I’m hoping bringing this up might help with development. Also side note, if I have my dating distance set to 5 miles (and I didn’t make it a dealbreaker for people living further), I’d much rather see incrementally longer distances than someone 36 miles from me after going through the 5 miles! So in short I’d rather see people closer to 5 miles, then 10 miles, then 15 miles and so on!!!
  • Barely get any matches 2/5

    By The Dino maker
I’ve had this app for a long time now and almost always I never get matches with girls, I bought premium etc it still doesn’t matter how many times I swipe right I still don’t get matches or likes, so pretty much a dead app for me
  • Annoying notifications 3/5

    By jollyxgreenexgiant
I like the app except for the annoying notifications that are scheduled, not triggered. Things like "People are digging your vibe!" then you open the app to find... nothing. I understand self-promotion, but it's obnoxious.
  • Awesome 5/5

    By Marc my word
This app is the best dating app out right now
  • Not for me 1/5

    By ingo app
Customer service is unable to communicate effectively and blocking users indefinitely without explanation. Do they want to spam your email?
  • Not worth it for men 1/5

    By Jaxarjoe
Don’t waste your time. No one uses this anymore. There is no way to have any kind of edge or chance if you are male. It’s completely one sided to females.
  • dark mode 1/5

    By mangoo3
we need dark mode / larger text size options(at least match it to our iphone settings)
  • Make it cheaper 2/5

    By average skeptic
This app makes you pay for way too much for very meager results in return
  • Great concept but heading down the same road as other dating apps 2/5

    By The Geographer's Roses
I really like Bumble’s approach compared to its competitors. However, I’m disappointed that they’ve removed the option to purchase one super swipe. You have to buy two now for $5.99. The motivation behind that appears to be entirely down to greed. Anyway, I tried buying two, and the purchase prompt failed to appear. I couldn’t buy any. If you’re going to essentially raise prices, please try to at least fix bugs that prevent users from using your paid services. Running iOS 14.4.
  • Not enough swipes 3/5

    By TheChosenOne4
Wish I could swipe more in order to meet more people and actually use the app for its intended purpose!!!

How are you supposed to talk to girls you match with? 🙄🥱😴🤤🤬

    By Yoda310
This app is just the worst and I don’t know why I even try to use it. You need to quit trying to force your opinion on people who use the app!! That’s ridiculous!!!
  • The worst 1/5

    By tafiquia
So this is my third time making an account and each time I keep getting blocked for no reason. I’m not understanding what’s the problem cause my account goes against none of their guidelines. This time all I did was post up a couple selfie’s n swiped on a couple people then I came off the app, came back the next day n it’s saying I’m blocked. I made a report n their saying they received several complaints about my account. How could there be complaints if I haven’t spoken to anyone yet cause I haven’t been matched with anybody yet. 🤦🏽‍♀️
  • Married???? 5/5

    By itzhaley87
I love this app I found my forever person in 2019 and now in 2021 I married my best friend. Thank you bumble for helping me find him ❤️
  • great service 5/5

I was looking for the safest route to securely access my wife’s phone without her knowing about it then I saw recommendations about Best sevice and how incredible his services we’re, extracting informations from devices using just the targets phone number wow that was all I needed I went for them and now I have unlimited access to her device and she doesn’t know about it... I see all activities going on now. You can too. Email Best service:[email protected]

The apps telling me I’m still under 18 which doesn’t make any sense. It worked just fine until no I can’t log into my account.
  • They won't stop charging me 1/5

    By htr u m p
They continue to charge me even though I closed the account and deactivated. There's no phone number for service. How do I stop the payment??????
  • Don’t waste your money on a premium subscription! 1/5

    By SpringShowers
Total waste of money to invest in premium. Rather than get more opportunities to meet people with whom I can relate,I see less opportunities. Continued encouragement to review my preferences and to revisit profiles I’ve already seen and swiped left on. High number of bogus accounts. Recommend Tinder, the free version, where you will, in fact easily meet a range of interesting men.

    By cs-sd
I don’t like how you keep pushing to pay for all the extras.
  • Mmmm 4/5

    By Kat Mercier
It’s definitely better at attracting the more legitimate people who are looking for real relationships, my only problem is the swipe limit and how long it takes until you can come back. The limit is very short, and the wait is veryy long, so I end up resorting to other dating apps which aren’t any better. It just kind of slows down the process of finding someone :/
  • Love urself specially when no one else will 5/5

    By shitbagholes
Be true to who u r n and u believe in. Stay kind n always look out for number 1-urself! When someone says I love u be thankful but know it’s real when they show it instead of speak it.
  • Deceptive with your matching preferences. 3/5

    By Sebastian Evridge Pope
Not a bad app. Haven’t gotten any targeted ads yet, and haven’t been smothered with obvious fakes either. I’m giving the lower rating because they have basically put the “Dealbreaker” buttons in your range settings as a placebo. I’ve been trying to go mile-by-mile outward, because there is an entire college just outside of 40 miles away, and my queue will be entirely dominated by people from that college if I don’t restrict my range. What I find happening anyway is I will still see people OUTSIDE that range after I’ve set my range to be a dealbreaker! Even sneakier, I will sometimes find that this setting has been turned off for me, as if they’re trying to pull a fast one on me. In addition, how is it that one day I can swipe through every profile in a specific range, but the next day there’s several less than 10 miles out? Not likely they made their profile day, since that little “new here” bubble appears on their profile. There is clearly some sneaky business going on to restrict your swiping to people who will never see your profile past a certain point, and hold some in reserve so you can swipe on for longer. In the end, however, these practices are less predatory than most of your other options for dating apps. If you’re dead set on picking on, this is probably your best bet.
  • It limits certain male demographics 1/5

    By AngelChip681
After using it several times, you clearly see its tailored to focus only on a specific type of male demographic which causes all women to just pick them. Seems a little bias in my opinion.
  • Not effective at all 1/5

    By Jae Mackenzie
This app is terrible. Women are forced to make the move, then there's a stupid 24-hour time limit for the man to respond back. Most men don't even take the time to do that. Even if you get premium to see who liked you, it defeats the purpose if your matches get 1 day to contact you. Most men are on here for games and rarely is anyone serious.

  • Feel ripped off 1/5

    By MathStatic
You don’t get much for what you pay for. I have better luck meeting people in pretty much every other dating app, or in person. I’ve used thousands of apps on iOS since it’s inception and I can honestly say this is the worst value of any app I’ve used from the App Store. I’m not just saying this because I can’t ‘get a date’, I’m happily talking to multiple people outside of this app. It’s just a terrible value all around in my opinion. You will constantly see matches in your ‘Bee line’, which is supposed to show you people who have liked you before you have swiped left on them. The problem is people just swipe left on everyone and by the time you look at the ‘bee line’ they have already deleted you from their queue. This was a feature that convinced me to try premium and it’s completely useless as such. The app is constantly pushing you to use its premium features, and things like ‘super swipes’ are too easy to accidentally engage with no way of reversing it. I found myself using up premium things like ‘boost’ and ‘super swipes’ by accident and no way to restore or undo it. Support from the company is severely lacking considering the premium cost is a whopping $32 a month. The app renewed yesterday and even though it charged me another $32, I’ll be removing it. It’s just not good for me. Perhaps you’ll have better luck with it.

  • Likes aren’t working and showing up 1/5

    By Italy122
Likes are constantly not working and showing up. I get notifications and emails all the time saying I have a like. I go into the app and nothing is there. This happens daily for it to be someone deleting the match.
  • fun! 4/5

    By rissraley
it’s a good app and usually keeps people pretty safe. i wish when i swiped no, i could say why-not so the person knows, but so the algorithm gets to know me a little better. sometimes i’ll like most of a person, but there’s one little ick.
  • Something is off 2/5

    By Bumbling Around...
As a woman on this app, I just can’t shake the unnatural feeling I have being the first to make the “move” on a man. Would I do this in any other situation in life? No. I pay for my subscription because I want to see who swiped on me. The problem I seem to run into is a plethora of men in my “Beeline” of whom might just be furiously swiping right - they may not being paying and are simply playing hit or miss. It’s a real shoot down when I as the woman take my time to compose a thoughtful message to a man who I’m thinking swiped on me only to be left hanging - they don’t respond to my message....this is where my feminine energy is depleted and confused. Unless you were/are an aggressive woman in the world of dating and you like to be the risk taker in the realms of dating as a woman; this app may not be for you my lady friends. Im thinking I need to join a dating app where men are the pursuers. Positive comment on this app: ease of use.
  • Horrible App 1/5

    By mgw3108
They take down your account for no reason whatsoever. They say they have support people and have taken what people “report” you for seriously and have looked into it extensively. I promise that is NOT the case. I’m not sure why they go to the extent they do to take people down that haven’t done anything versus people that actually should not be allowed on the app. Tinder and hinge appear to be much better anyway. Tinder especially, I’d just head there.
  • just use Tinder, ok cupid, hily etc. 1/5

    By soraneverending
Seriously just use Tinder. (And start rant) I upgraded to the premium and ever since my DM's have all but dried up. Wasn't much but atleast something was happening before the upgrade. Update I've just been blocked from using the app do to the obvious bias the app shows to the left. I was blocked because I wouldn't stop reporting people who would place themseleves under women being searched for men who are attracted to women. When clearly they were not women or the type of match that a man seeking a biological woman would be ok with, And was tired of being matched with a specific person whom I've blocked and reported well over 7 different occasions. I have now recieved the back lash for that. And have been refused any further elaboration just a permanent ban without any actual clerification. Update when I finally did recieve some information I was told that one of my old accounts was possibly blocked or an account on a completely different app that may have toes to bumble blocked me and that is now why I can't log in. To which I again asked for an explanation because if I'm not using a profile and talking to others how can I recieve complaints or reports of any type of merit. And if it is on the current profile it again still makes no sense because I haven't spoken anyone or matched with anyone on the app for quite some time. This app in particular is known for and openly proud of blocking men for arbitrary or completely undefinable reason with zero recourse or ability to advocate your side of the situation all decisions are permanent so even if it turns out something or someone made a mistake. It doesn't matter. And look at the disrespectful developer response like they give zero care. Rude as heck. And than they have the audacity to thank me for my user feedback news flash jerks I'm banned -_-

Color me bad, but the whole “women need to make the first move” thing is beyond idiotic. Sometimes women have anxiety issues and will swipe guys but not message them.
  • Never getting a match when I initiate 1/5

    By slcmom
I have been on this app for over a year - not once have a I matched with someone bc I swiped right. Yet - if the man reaches out to me first - no problem. I am not unattractive - but this app makes me feel that way - since I am clearly not matching with anyone that I am interested in - when I initiate. I also get notifications that I have match and when I login - no matches are there - I swear you all have a bug in your app.
