  • Love this calendar app 5/5

I’ve used this app for years and completely depend on it to keep my life organized

    By Enrik Poisson
I can’t believe the Google Calendar App on iPhone is not synced with Google Tasks. I was about to go nuts but I found Calendar 5. Thank God they nailed it. Thanks. 5/5 stars. Also, they don’t have that annoying subscription thing —you pay once and you’re done. Why on Earth would we subscribe to a calendar?? Awesome product: 5 stars.
  • It’s only OK 3/5

    By drjwr
A solid calendar marred by a monthly view not as readable as, for example, Google Calendar or Outlook monthly view: partly it’s the colors, partly the ubiquitous right angles and stronger than needed grid-lines, and specially the need for the current day to be indicated by a circle or oval rather than another rectangle. It’s particularly hard to find the current day in dark mode. (1) Without the excellent and unique weekly iPhone view , the iPad version is no different than the native app; it’s just uglier. (2) The natural language input works poorly. Actually, it has never worked accurately.

    I Love this app!
  • Could be perfect 3/5

    By Ano-nym-ous
One critical issue - unlike the build it iOS calendar, the watch complication does not update unless you open the calendar on your phone first. So if you are relying on your watch to maintain your schedule, and someone sends you a meeting invite or changes the start time of an existing meeting, you’re not going to see it reflected on the complication. Had to revert back to iOS calendar.
  • Great calendar app 4/5

    By DeRichard
Love this app. Only problem I have had is when the clocks change from and to daylight savings time, some of my scheduled/repeated monthly meetings times change. Been late or early a couple of times. Can’t figure out why the calendar does this.
  • Reminders sync broken 1/5

    By Squirrely_in_Chicago
Syncing with iOS reminders doesn’t work properly in this version! Don’t upgrade!
  • Best calendar app ever 5/5

    By Nimzo66
Much better than the calendar that comes with your iPhone. FIVE STARS.
  • The ultimate choice after broken of fantastical 2 5/5

    By Irax Scarlett
It’s comparable with some disadvantages to fantastical 2, but as long as this is a paid-off app over subscription, this is way better than fantastical 3.
  • Game changer in organization 5/5

  • Great App 5/5

I researched at least a dozen other calendar apps. I picked this one, and I’m glad I did. Lives up to the hype.
  • Generally does what I want it to do. 4/5

    By BeckeryAnn
My only complaint is that I can’t get it to sync with other devices, including my husband’s iPhone and my computer. Otherwise I like it
  • Holidays 3/5

    By your app is broke
I like the calendar well enough. I’d like to take all holidays out that don’t pertain to me.

  • Decent app, but some improvement needed 3/5

    By cdavida
I wanted to like this more than I did. I don’t really dislike it, but it isn’t quite what I’d hoped for. I’m going to keep testing it and see if it becomes what I use or if I stick with what I was using before. It was nice to see a calendar app out there that integrated with existing calendars and could be bought for a one-time purchase. The natural language entry works pretty well. Other entry methods take some getting used to, but I think I’m starting to like them. Time will tell. The different views are nice though the list few feels a little confusing. It’s not terrible, and maybe it’s just the number of things we have on our calendar. The week view is really nice. The month view is okay, but if you want to go to a certain day, it’s hard to do if it is full without accidentally tapping an event. The day view is pretty standard. Where I see the most room for improvement is in the handling of tasks. In list view or week view, the tasks are always listed at the end of your day. Many of my tasks have a specific reminder date and time, and I wish they would be interspersed with the calendar items based on the alert time. The calendar part of the Apple Watch app is excellent. It has a view showing your next or current event, or you can swipe over to see your list of events. However, the watch app is really not good for tasks. You have to force touch to switch to the view of our tasks, and then, you can’t even see a today list. You can only see the different categories you set up in Reminders. This makes it much less useful. Again, I’d like to see a list with tasks interspersed or at least be able to see a today list. The iPhone app has this. So, really, it’s a pretty good calendar app and would be a great alternative to the subscription apps out there. I just want better features for the tasks.
  • Makes systems settings useless 5/5

    By CoreReset
Great app for me, but the system settings for reminders and calendar alert tones become useless on iOS using this app. It uses its own tones and ignores those system settings. They could easily do custom tones if they read from system settings.
  • Location of Event 4/5

    By BlurBerryBlink
I love this app, after switching over from Fanstastical. I just wish you can see the location of the events on my watch or calendar without having to press on the event to check.
  • Nice calendar 4/5

    By ElGrillo29090
This calendar is much better than the generic one in the iOS system and the google one. Entering info is a little quirky, especially trying to find the time entry.

    By Dracunculus
Just opened up Calendar 5 today and all my tasks have disappeared! This was one of the primary reasons I purchased the app! Fortunately I have some written down but not all FAIL!
  • Nothing special for the price 3/5

    By Bato166
The graphics design of the app reminded me of a blackberry calendar or something. Nothing special I wish I didn’t pay for it. Apple calendar looks nicer and can do more especially with customized reoccurring events.
  • Top-notch Calendar App 5/5

    By McQ14
Readdle just always seems to do things right. This particular Calendar app is another great example. The description speaks for itself and is accurate. I’ve tried a minimum of a dozen calendar apps for iPhone. One other app gave this one a run for its money but recently switched from version 2 to version 3 and instituted a terrible subscription model AND managed to ruin its UI in the process. With that move, this app is now my solo and best calendar for iPhone. Great job, Readdle!
  • Love it! 5/5

Love this calendar , love how well integrated the calendars, reminder and task are
  • Another Fantastical refugee finds salvation 5/5

    By Slackintim
Excellent app; thank you for providing great features for a fair price. I hope major upgrades are provided for a one-time fee (if at all) and you avoid subscriptions at all costs.
  • Best Calendar! 5/5

    By VOX Photography
I've tried many other calendar apps, so far this one does exactly what I need, particularly helpful to manage my hectic work schedule and appointments ... Easy to copy, move and edit ... Keeps track of my regular job, my photography business and personal schedules...
  • Failure to launch. 1/5

    By Ohiofireman
Would be a 5 star app if it would launch the first time every time. Not on IOS. Smh. What a rip off
  • Horrible customer service 1/5

    By Someone of no importance
Recently all the favorites tasks that I unfavorite keeps popping back. I sent out a support message looking for help and they asked me to take a video and I told them it takes several hours to pop back so I can’t take a video and now they stopped responding. I sent them 3 more messages over the course of an entire week with pictures to back up my claims. What kind of customer service doesn’t even reply? Horrible treatment of its customers considering this is a paid app.
  • Not syncing with Outlook calendar 4/5

    By ted_54321
The latest update on 31 Jan20 seems to be causing the Readdle calendar not syncing with my Outlook calendar. So all my Outlook February events are missing in the Readdle calendar.

  • Bought this along with Fantastical... 5/5

    By aznboi589
This app has no subscription from what I can tell, instant 5 stars from me. Will be doing in-depth analysis but as far as I’m concerned this is the Fantasical killer app.
  • Great App 5/5

    By neumant
Does exactly what I need, clean and quick! Would love to see a full calendar view, with a more compact list for the widget if at all possible for the options to be added in. Thanks!
  • Love it plus no subscription 5/5

    Love this app
  • Best replacement for fantastical 5/5

By less than 29 characters long
I downloaded several calendars and this one is most similar to fantastical. It does take some adjusting but I’d rather jump ship now than stuck around to see what else fantastical has to throw at me.
  • I’m back (for good) 5/5

    By AlabamaBluesFan
I used Calendar 5 for several years and always thought it was the best calendar app for iOS. Unfortunately, I was seduced by the dark side (Fantasticical 2) a few months ago. I apologize for my momentary lapse in judgment. I’m back to Calendar 5 and realize, once again, that it is the best Calendar app available for iOS. Please, Readdle, do not be seduce the the Sith-scription model.
  • Nice Calendar App 4/5

    By NamingShouldNot B This Hard
Nice interface and easy to use. Most of the functionality is well implemented. I gave only four stars because, I’m some (NOT all) screens there is no obvious way to return to the calendar.
  • Pretty good, except ... 3/5

    By Sboat
I’ve been trying this out and like it except for a few bothersome things: - the widget doesn’t show reminders - the list view doesn’t show reminder times - the list view unnecessarily shows the event’s calendar (at least for some) below the event and takes up space. This isn’t needed because the color indicates the calendar. - tasks don’t sort by date and time. There is only date and something call “my order” whatever that is. - past due reminders aren’t highlighted I like it except the widget is kind of a show stopper for me and the sync with Reminders isn’t complete.
  • Some features missing 3/5

    By TheConnMan
I switched from Fantasical after it became subscription based. I wish there was a duplicate button for events. Little easier than the copy/paste approach. Also, I can’t add my Exchange account directly due to the enterprise SSO that my company uses. Why is there not a “Show As free/tentative/busy” option? This is critical and a HUGE gap. Finally, I don’t enjoy the narrative approach they take with event alerts. Would rather see the info listed out. EDIT: I really hate that the description of an event shows in Day View but not the location. Why would I need to see the description of every event in a overall view?
  • LOVE this app & have loved for years! 5/5

    By corkalu
I’ve had this app & depended on it for several years. Have not had any issues with it at all. There were 2 times that I contacted the Readdle team about something I didn’t know how to do or something that I wish the app could do. Both times, their response was very quick; and they told me how to find/do what I needed. Love it!!
  • The best Fantastical replacement 5/5

    By Elwots
With so many single function tools turning to subscription models, I refuse to use any of them. They add up and are getting absurd. Calendars 5 has every option I need, works flawlessly and looks great for a very fair price - which I will be more than willing to pay again for a big update. Just PLEASE do not switch to a subscription model and force 80% of your user base out.
  • Google sync better but recent changes troublesome 4/5

    By jfaughnan
I’ve used app for many years. Rely on it a lot for Google Calendar use. Google’s app doesn’t support moving appointments between calendars. Readdle does. Good news: sync errors less than past 1-2 years. Took a long time to improve that. Force a full sync periodically. Bad news: Readdle wants to support Outlook. Google, Outlook, and Apple all have important differences in calendar models. The more they support Outlook the more unwanted calendar emails are created and the more problems with handling pattern exceptions. (Briefly: Outlook calendars are horrible) Overall still essential for Google Calendar users.
  • Worthy Fantastical replacement 5/5

    By miked378
Like many coming by here these days, I was a loyal Fantastical user for years, and never had a reason to look at other calendar apps. Turns out that while I wasn’t looking, Readdle went and made a nice one (I’m also a Spark and Documents user, so I’m not surprised). I’ve already moved Fantastical from the top left of my 1st screen to the trash, and haven’t looked back. Calendars 5 has the polish of those apps, and most if not all of the functionality of Fantastical that I loved. There are even things I like more, like the list view, which is a lot less jumbled. The iOS widget is also cleaner, and the Watch app, with only a little testing so far, seems pretty configurable. The week view is a little strange, but it’s not a view I use much. A comment below nearly scared me off, around problems connecting to work Exchange servers. Note that that user had issues with connecting *directly* to the server — in other words, entering the credentials directly into Calendars 5 to get items directly from the server, bypassing the iOS internal calendar database. Calendars 5 allows this in addition to using the internal database — in other words, if you can see a calendar on the native Calendars app, you can see it in Calendars 5. For what it’s worth, I can connect to my work’s Exchange server just fine either way. Readdle, please learn from Fantastical’s experience and don’t screw up a good thing!
  • Functional 5/5

    By Ramyar HP
I’ve use many calendars some are more beautiful but none is as good and functional as this, the week view is the man of the match it’s the best view and just soo easily gives you an insight about your week without all those timelines to scroll to find your event, it’s just shows you everything with its time being shown, and the dark mode event colors are just beautiful to look at.
  • Can't import synced reminders 4/5

Can't import synced reminders from Microsoft to-do list。
