Calendars: Planner & Reminders app reviews

  • Nice, but one thing missing 4/5

    By Omgitsjustareview
I love the app except for one thing: it doesn’t allow you to have repetitive reminders and/or more than one reminder for an event, so if the reminder goes off and you cancel it, you better not get distracted by something else. It’s the only thing that CalAlarm has over this app. If the developers would fix that and make it so it’s possible to snooze or make multiple alarms for events, I would probably do away with all the other calendar apps in my phone. As it is, gotta keep calalarm for that extra reminder.
  • Literally my go to app!! 5/5

This app has organized my life so much! I love the colors and the extra features!
  • Great app, requires WiFi for certain initial connections 5/5

  • Best one 5/5

    By GirlFromVA
I’ve downloaded and tried several planner/calendar apps... this one is one of my favorites. User friendly. Great layout. I do wish it was a little more customizable, font colors, stickers, etc , like some of the others. Maybe with an update soon!
  • Notes features not working properly 3/5

    By Kevinpjchen
After updating to the latest iOS the notes feature is not working properly. Specifically when using numbered list on google calendar, the format will not transfer to Calendar notes properly and everything is jumbled up. Pls fix this!!!
  • Best calendar app 5/5

    By BellaNew
I have tried almost every calendar and task apps, and have never written a review. I felt this one deserved one. Its by far the best!
  • Life changing! 5/5

    By Livy pope
So happy I came across this app! It has made my life so much easier especially being able to color coordinate
  • Delete 1/5

Can’t get to delete a date
  • Horrible 1/5

    By Venom77xx
I tried using this app in order to simplify I having my tasks in calendar and one app. The issues that I’ve come across are as follows: 1) If you add an address to a calendar appointment it defaults to Google maps if that is on your device. The only way I figured out how to make it use the Apple Maps is to delete Google maps from my device. 2) Second issue is if you have a calendar appointment that was created in Outlook on the desktop and then move it in the Calendars app (ie change the time), any notes for that appointment are scrambled up and unreadable in Outlook. Truly disappointing as I LOVE my other Readdle Apps.
  • Doesn’t reliably show events 1/5

    By Fmj2485
I have a shared family calendar and it doesn’t reliably show those events.
  • Updated Review 5/5

    By jimmyolsen
App was crashing but latest update fixed it.
  • Apple Watch App Broken 2/5

    By Jdibble2739
I have an iPhone 11 on iOS 14.0.1. I am on watchos 7.0.1. For some reason the app force closes on my Apple Watch 5 series each time I open it. The app used to work on the Apple Watch but no longer does on the new watchOS version. Please update the app so that it is compatible. This is an inconvenience because I used to use the app on my watch to check my work schedule and meeting schedule.
  • good 5/5

    By iupiter9
good app. functional. easy to use. better than the normal iphone calendar. syncs up nicely with google calendar.
  • When they want you to pay $6.99 1/5

    By Rick&Bunni
When I have to pay a reoccurring fee of $6.99 to repeat an event in my calendar that’s when I draw the line and delete money stealing apps. Will not be downloading no recommending.
  • Junk 1/5

    By Mancandyandy
Crashes every time you try to open it on Apple Watch. Doesn’t really help me to have my calendar on my phone, I want it on my wrist.
  • Great app, subpar widget 2/5

    By BossHoss_16
I love this app over the stock Apple Calendar because of its monthly view. However, with the widgets it has released, I have to use the stock Apple Calendar because it actually lists more than one day of events at a time. Since I use a widget much more than an app, I have to give it a lower score. Hopefully something changes soon.
  • Best calendar ever!! Love it 5/5

    By kican1
This calendar has everything I was looking for in a calendar it’s very useful and easy to use
  • Love it but needs some work! 3/5

    By Omgwowzerz
I genuinely love this app because it’s so much different than other calendar apps whereas I can see my tasks and an overall list of my stuff, but two things need to be implemented/added. I would really want a time feature for tasks. Currently, you can only do that on events. I think putting a time option with the due date would be very convenient. Additionally, I really would love if it would be possible to sync the app to my iPad. I purchased the pro version but for some reason even then, my tasks and events won’t sync to my iPad.
  • Interesting app but I would love some features for students 4/5

    By opalescent_sky
I’d like to suggest some features that would be very useful to me as a student. I have a hard time being organized and keeping track of what’s due each week. Every class has a syllabus, which tells us about readings, assignments or quizzes that are due each week. I wish I could create an adjustable schedule that serves as a general guide for all of my classes. I’m looking for these features: 1) The ability to record the weekly assignments for all of my 4 classes in the calendar. 2) The ability to automatically break the readings (or papers due) into little chunks that I need to complete daily in order to have them done by the due date. 3) The option to exclude certain days of the week when calculating how the readings would be broken down throughout the week. For example, I might be able to study every day of the week, except for Thursdays because I finish work late on that day. 4) If I miss a day of studying for whatever reason, such as being sick or having some kind of emergency, then it should be possible to automatically adjust the amount of work required in the upcoming days so that I can finish the task before the deadline. For example, if I’m supposed to read 15 pages a day and I don’t do the readings for one of the days, then the number of pages that I’m supposed to read per day is automatically increased to 17-18 pages per day. 5) The option to prioritize certain tasks over others. For example, I have mandatory readings that I need to complete each week but I also decide to give myself a goal to finish a paper that’s due 2 weeks from now. The mandatory readings are the 1st priority, while finishing the paper on this specific week is not as important. I hope you understand all 5 of my suggestions and take them into consideration. These features would be extremely helpful to college students because not only would it remind them of what assignments are due but it also creates a plan to break the work down into manageable chunks that need to be completed daily.
  • Not very user friendly 2/5

By Ed is Frank Jed C TD David K
I can’t find how to schedule more than 1 event
  • This app changed my life 5/5

    By Sydnib90
I suffer from major depressive disorder, so staying motivated can be a struggle for me sometimes. This app in particular has changed my life though. I gladly paid the little bit extra to be able to create repetitive events/tasks and it’s really helped me out with daily cleaning, work, school, etc. I’ve come up with a color system that helps me track what I’ve completed and it’s rewarding to see what I’ve done throughout the day. There are so many ways to customize your calendar and I would never switch to a paper planner again. If I could give this app 10 stars, I would. I’m very grateful to have found it.
  • No exchange support 1/5

    By markdj
Claims to support Exchange but doesn’t work. Tried many times, appears to log in but doesn’t download any calendar items. Each trial requires typing in all the connection info from scratch.
  • Date and time entry method changed!!!!! 1/5

    By homework hardware
I have been using this app for years and I loved it so much until they change the method of inputting date and time. Before it was a calendar that I can choose a date from, it’s so convenient for me to set the due date for a task to 3 weeks later or the last Monday of the month...etc. But now I have to go to the month view of the calendar to determine a date, then go back to set the due date!
  • Branding 4/5

    By Tallon Cote
It would be really look if this matched the UI and branding of Spark. Spark has interesting illustrations, clean UI, and a nice logo. Not a fan of this logo and the UI is very different in many ways (not that it is bad).
  • Malware 1/5

App is extremely vulnerable to malicious attacks.
  • Widget 5/5

    By hjbjfjjfbc
Can you make customizable backgrounds for the widget because the regular background doesn’t match my homescreen
  • App is good but... 4/5

    By tmunch
This app is really nice but it needs a few more features to be 5 stars. First off it was pretty easy to use but I want a large widget that shows my events for the week (upcoming events) not just one day. Because there is no widget for this I had to use the Apple calendar widget in stead of the one I paid for😡. Second I would like to see more themes and colors . I hope they will take feedback into consideration and add some more widgets in the near future
  • Readdle never fails... 5/5

By Discount_Dracula create an amazing app time and time again! I have a standing policy - if it’s a Readdle app, get it! I have all sorts of apps for every category, but their apps always end up taking the number 1 spot. Btw, Spark email blows Outlook out of the water. My school district pushes Outlook, bc we have an MS 360 subscription. That’s what everyone uses. It isn’t required, thankfully, so I use Spark on my iPhone and iPad. I get ppl asking me how I did such and such bc it’s cool and want me to show them how. I tell them, number one - ditch Outlook. The only thing is, I’m not sure we can download it to our school-issued laptops. 🤔 I never thought about it, but I’m about to find out! Take care, everyone!
  • Love! But w/ a hiccup ;/ 4/5

    By Swetty007
I have used this app for years and LoVe it!! However, within the last couple of months-when adding a “new event” the view below that showed the days of the week/dates is no longer there:(. PLEASE bring that back so you’re able to see that the event “date” you’re adding is indeed the correct DAY of the week. Having to go out of the app to look at another calendar to verify that the “date” you’re adding an event to, matches up with the correct day of the week-is really frustrating!!
  • Calendar 5/5

    By Kumbaya Hippie Chic
Easy to use ! Love the color coded option
  • Used to work. Now it’s a complete hassle 2/5

    By Passport2poverty
I don’t even know if I was charged a fee that other people are talking about, but I’m assuming my review applies just for the initial cost of download and not the yearly fee. I paid for the app and have used it for several years. Lately it’s a complete pain. It duplicates events (because if I create them in the calendar they also get put into my gmail calendar, and they. It’s show.). I can’t figure out how to fix that. It also is cumbersome to fix time of events and often times things don’t show. Mostly just annoyed with the duplication of everything. Ugh. Going to find a different calendar.
  • MORE COLORS! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎 5/5

    By Tashy ✌️
I wish there were more colors. I personally have a lot of different task of all different categories and I would like more colors. Other than that I love this app! Totally worth the purchase.
  • Best calendar app 5/5

    By sgharak
Really versatile app. You can view and edit all your calendars from Google, Outlook and Apple in one place!
  • Days are off 1/5

    By Game always crashes
I’m glad I noticed that for 9-8-2020, it said that it was a Wednesday when in fact it’s a Tuesday. How can a Calender have a error like that especially when I was going to mark it down because I had court on that day. Terrible.
  • Review 5/5

    By tlacey5150
I wish that you could set it as a screen saver
  • No time to leave or travel time??? 2/5

    By PolarBearKev
I fail to understand why so many app developers who develop calendar apps cannot seem to figure out how to implement time to leave and travel time for calendar events. I decided to download this app and see if it worked or not in that regard, it doesn’t. In my book that makes it useless. My quest for the ultimate calendar app continues…
  • Cool 5/5

    By Lebihab
  • Great notification of appointments 5/5

    By hensleyjacquie
I like how this calendar easily sets up notifications for upcoming events.
  • Great app, as a college student its worth it 5/5

    By SnakeLegendary1
As a free app its good, and it does the job. But paying for the full version does wonders, i get to organize alot more than i thought i could, and separate different events by different colors. Stuff like this helps, so thumbs up on this app.
  • Helpful 3/5

    By Thalia.cly
I’ll keep it simple; it works as a regular calendar. So if you’re not paying for the extra features then you can work with the scheduling calendar you already have.
  • How to invite? 4/5

    By 64chaf
So far I like this app and upgraded to Pro but still do not see how to invite others to my scheduled events
  • Best calendar app ever 5/5

    By Trooper81277
I bought purchased the full version of this app last year after having the lite version for a couple of years. Best investment I’ve made. I don’t even use the default calendar app in my phone anymore. I just love how clean everything looks and how easy it is to spot my appointments. I did have an issue shortly after I purchased the full version where the app crashed every time I opened it. I emailed their tech support and they responded quickly and resolved my issue.
  • Very easy to navigate and is still great without the upgrade! 5/5

    By sauce192928191937472
I love this app and I have got it for middle school. It’s very easy to use and I am able to check it every day. It is like an agenda that you don’t have to risk using. Very simple app and works great, and I don’t even use it with the upgrade.
  • Worth It 5/5

    By SCS186
I still gag a little at the price, but I was able to take advantage of a sale price and that was easier to stomach. Absolutely worth it!!! I loooove this ap, everything it’s capable of and everything it offers. I’m guilty of being a rather rigid planner/time manager and for a life that’s going in 50 different directions for God knows what reasons, it’s a Godsend.
  • Don’t like the last update... 4/5

    By shenanigans14T
I love this calendar and use it for EVERYTHING. In the last update... when you add an event it gives you a “scrolling” month, date and year. I much prefer for it to be in a calendar view. If I need to add an event for next Monday, I may not know the exact date... so I have to stop, go look it up and then go back to entering my event. My suggestion is to go back to the calendar view of adding events!
  • Looks great, but no copy feature 4/5

    By E minor 13
I really like this so far, but I am baffled at how many calendar apps do not allow a copy feature. I do things, but not necessarily on a schedule repeat. I just need it on a different day! I love that you can add weather and other specialty calendars, and that it is very easy to see the events clearly i would fully commit to this app if it had a duplicate feature!
  • Travel time 2/5

    By bdtennessee
Travel time needs to be incorporated into this app. That is the one major thing missing.
  • Unwanted alerts 3/5

    By Katie7940
Every time I add an event it automatically sets up an alert after I save it without an alert. Please fix.
