This app helps me to be aware of the types of foods that I eat each day. I know now that in the past, with out using the app that I was eating a high fat and carb diet. With this app I can check my carb, fat, sugar intake and make adjustments to the types of foods I need to eat. Thank you fitness pal!

Recipes as ingredients never happen. 3/5
Okay, I’ve lost weight. I lost weight with weight watchers and others. What is bothersome working with this app is that it hamstrings the whole food, non-processed food adherents. For example, I have a recipe that calls for Salsa Verde. I won’t use store bought Salsa with high sodium content and God knows what else. I will make the stuff myself with tomatillo, garlic, Jalapeño, onion, and cilantro and save it as a recipe to use in a Chicken Tomatillo Casserole. In a perfect world with perfect apps, maybe. Each time I save a recipe to use in another recipe it is unavailable in my ingredient search. The same would apply to sauces and spice blends that are used in my kitchen. I have a work around for this deficiency: work harder while my dinner gets cold. If you fix this, I may give it a better review.

The reason for a 4 rather then a 5, is because anyone can add nutritional information to the food data base. So you really have to be careful. If you search for black coffee you might find black coffee with 60 calories and black coffee with 5. So you really need to pay attention.
Also, the add recipe function is great. I would love if you could review/edit the recipe/ingredients once you saved it. But it seems that you only have access to the nutritional information after saved.
This application is improving every time I use it. It helps me to keep track of my behaviors.

I love how I can set up my own goals - calories, macro nutrients, etc - by meal or by day. I was able to customize the goals to match the guidelines my nutritionist had recommended for me. Very helpful.

For an app that’s intended to be used several times a day every day, it could look nicer. I know it’s the free version but I’ve had the premium version
I found out about this app from my friend so I download it I try to sign up it asks me the basic questions then on question 2 it kicks me out and says “sorry we can not process your request at this time.” Highly disappointed I can’t even use this app please fix!!

I have tried several apps to track my fitness, food, and the nutritional content and this app is by far the best one.. love it I love being able to export my info and take to my dietician and doctor.. and it works my fitbit. 👏🏾
Won’t Create Account? 1/5
I was really excited to find a new food tracking app, but every time I try to go past the screen confirming my age with creating the account, it tells me the request can not be processed at this time. I am 16 and right here the app says it is for ages 4 and up. I’m almost positive it is about my age because I don’t think gender/living in the USA would affect getting accepted, which is what else was on the screen. I also don’t think it would be their database having too many accounts because it let me get past 2 screens before declining me. Probably not an app glitch either. If I can’t create an account because I’m “too young”, just tell me straight up!! It’s ridiculous.

I have been dieting for the past 3 weeks, and myfitnesspal has been such a great help!!! On suggestion I have is I make my food list the night before, if you would be able to put in a check mark to mark that I have eaten it. That would be a great help!!! But all in all this is a great app!!!

For some reason it won’t let me sign up, a friend is using it and I really like it but it won’t let me sign up until later but later it still won’t let me sign up 😐

I used to use the app religiously but had to delete it and reinstall because it wouldn’t load. Now it refuses to let me log back in. I’ve tried contacting CS and no one will give me an answer as to what is wrong. Well... it was fun.

I Love this App!! I would never keep track of what I eat if not for Fitness Pal. It gives me lots of information I would never keep track of or look up on my own. There are also tips and recipes to help us out and reach our goals! Thanks ever so much, extremely helpful!!!
Bad UI on the diary screen 1/5
I wish I didn’t install these updates. The app was working fine, and totally usable. But now, the screen is more than half taken up with useless new tabs at the top, and of course the Ads. It’s hard to use the diary and that’s the whole point of this app...

This app is very helpful, but I cannot figure out how to have the fiber taken off the daily allowable carbs being on the Keto diet. Any help would be awesome!

Im a younger guy soy results are sure to be skewed but I lost ten pounds in about a month and a half by using this app. It also helps inform you about your nutrient consumption not just calories. Super effective app, and one that I would definitely use again.

Ads are too pervasive in the current version. I didn't care if they were there, but before they would scroll away as you moved around. Now they just sit there, taking up space, and limiting the useful area of the diary to about 40% of the screen. When things like this happen it makes me want to not buy the ad free option, simply out of spite.

I’ve been using this app and it has count my calories for me and my food intake it’s saved me a lot of heart ache since I’ve been using it which is about a week and a half I have lost 13 pounds thank you so much

I’ve used this years ago and had great success with my goals. Redownloaded recently but having trouble do a general food search within the app. Online I can search any food but on the app I can only search within recent used. Help?!
Why are there no choices in the exercise menu for cross-fit? You have taken the time to list oddball things like auto repair and horse grooming. Also, the check mark to add to the diary often is unresponsive and I have to try multiple times to get it to work - possibly another random thing you could add to exercise - button pushing.

Since my doctor recommended this enjoyable and very flexible app two weeks ago, I have used it daily!! It’s a great source for tracking what I’m putting into God’s temple and caring enough to make a change for the better.
Now if I only had an app this good for exercise, I’d be doing so much better! I’d be all in on all levels!! Work in progress and I’m gonna get there!!
Helping me lose weight, but the app lags 3/5
This app is helping me stay on track with calories. I am thankful to have lost 40 pounds from actively using it. However, the app lags like crazy when I use my iPhone. Several of my pals on the app are having the same issue. Deleting the app & downloading it again does not help its slowness. I have found it less of a headache to just go to the website on a computer.

MFP takes so long to load. please get rid of the bloat. i don't need or want a bunch of news, recipes, and products. I need a tool to quickly log information. This is a really bad app if you care about logging & tracking data, but a great app if you want to buy yoga mats and participate in tyson chicken nugget challenges for a chance to win a 10% off coupon.

Good for keep your diet on the right path. Sometimes it won’t let you put the calorie intake you want. You have to plug it in multiple times. It get irritating at times. Sometimes it’ll rest your macro intake as well.

Restricting calories is terrible for our bodies! Studies have shown the WE NEED CALORIES!! And that the human body actually has NO NEED of carbs! The government made up all these dietary guidelines off of studies that were only half inclusive! They left out a lot of stuff and told us fat was bad and lied to us about sugar! MyFitnessPal, you need to step it up and teach the truth and stop contributing to this idea that carbs are good and fat is bad. Fat keeps you feeling full and carbs make you sick and hungry! Count your carbs not your sugar!
Wanna know how I know? I did MyFitnessPal for such a long time. I was constantly hungry! I was 17 and I was going to bed hungry crying and upset that I was hungry and barely losing weight. You made me insecure about myself. YOU made ME feel like I was a failure and had a problem with my mind and my body. When In fact you are to blame. Lying to us all. Who sponsors you btw? Big Dairy? Milk is crap and you’re better off drinking coke. Just want to say thanks for wasting my time and emotions!
For others who might read this... don’t waste your time on this terrible app and read “Food: what the heck should I eat” it will change your life!!!!
Anyone can loose 10-15 lbs if you truthfully log in your food and want to eat a little better. This app educates you to the results of what you put in your body. Try it and then you’ll better understand.
