The "Northern Way" is the route that runs along the Cantabrian Mountains. The trail begins in Irún, heading west to Ribadeo, and then continues towards Santiago de Compostela. The Northern Way is a pilgrimage route, so it is well-equipped, and to hike it independently, you'll need to make an effort to find campsites. More campsites are available as you pass through tourist areas along the coast. While many other guides provide information on hostels, this guide focuses on alternative campsites for hiking the trail independently. Initial setup requires a one-time download of approximately 80 MB of additional content.
