    The service is very slow and the food arrives cold almost always. Sometimes they promise to deliver and one hour later you find out that your order was canceled because the store was closed in the first place. Overall I've had bad experiences with both Caviar and DoorDash. However this is pretty much your only option in the US.

    Working with their customer service, calling, chatting, etc has been a horrible experience. I have clearly explained what was wrong with my order, how I did not receive my order and even provided photo evidence of the issue. I've contacted multiple times through chat and was told I would be contacted in 24 hours as the issue has been escalated. Instead I found myself having to call them back and after explaining my issue and having provided suffice explanation and evidence, I was hung up on because they did not want to continue the conversation.

    Shows the driver at the store location, he picks up my food and drives home. I have a screenshot of him going the opposite direction of my home and then my order is cancelled due to delivery issues. He got a free meal and I’m still waiting on my refund.

    I really never write reviews but I saw an add using doordash for 25% of the first order, I got the app, tried the code, didn’t work. I tried the newthirty and the cooltwenty and neither worked either. I redownloaded the app to see if it was a glitch and got a new promo code CAV20 I tried that and it didn’t work either.

    I tried paying for dashpass because I was tired of the fees. Except the app was preloading some card that it wouldn’t accept. I tried changing my Apple Pay default card, but no luck. I was told to change it on the website, which promptly disconnected me from support. Sweet. Thanks.

    I WISH I COULD RATE THIS APP A 0.0000000 STAR BECAUSE THEY TOOK MY MONEY CANCED MY ORDER AND NEVER RETURNED MY MONEY! I’m having a hard time reaching anyone to help me every agent said unfortunately at this time we can’t further assist you I spent 89$ wow couldn’t even get a free meal the resuturant closed and I bet the driver kept the food!

    There’s banners all over the app promising “Direct delivery, always on Caviar,” but turns out this is lie. Today I watched my delivery driver “pick up” my order (got the text that the driver was heading to me) and then sit at the restaurant for another 30 min, then drive across the city in another direction, and sit there for another 10-15 min. I contacted support to ask what was going on and the agent said “sometimes we do group deliveries.” I responded that right underneath the live map of the delivery driver there was a banner boasting direct deliveries and the agent said “I’m sorry for your confusion.” Yeah me too.

    Tried it once, worst experience with any food delivery app. My order went through fine, said order in process, dasher picking up. Then I get a call from dasher saying the restaurant didn’t receive the order, some issue with the system so they are canceling my order. No offer to reorder and send another dasher or anything. Seemed they wanted me to say thank you for a full refund. It took them over and hour to tell me I wasn’t going to get dinner tonight. Of course I should get a full refund they did not provide any service. Deleted off my phone, would NEVER use again or recommend. Spoke w customer service who did nothing.

    This was the worse experience I’ve ever had ordering online. I had to cancel a order because I forgot something so they issued me a refund which was fine but when I went to reorder they charged my a delivery fee and service charge which were not on the original order. I ended up having to talk to 4 different people to try to straighten it out. Now they have refunded those charged but I can no longer access the information on my order so I don’t know it’s going to come or not

    Absurd. Only using Caviar because I have a gift card. Even then a $50.00 gift card is really only a $42.50 gift card in Caviar Dollars.

    Tried using promo code. Valid but doesn’t work. I’ve spent a hour and 30min on the phone with customer support for that, then had to call right back because it would process my payment methods (Apple Pay,debit ) This app is poorly managed would be best to just get rid of the app.

    Promotional push notifications are sent even though I have them off in the app. I get frequent promotion notifications from this app. I just checked my settings and only delivery notifications are enabled. So there’s either some bug or the developers aren’t respecting my preferences.

    TryCaviar is horrendous. No problems yet? Lucky you. Just give it time. Caviar has the worst customer service on the planet. Not helpful, slow, and exceedingly stupid. Delivery person/restaurant screw up and only half your meal arrives? Beware. If that happens 2 or so more times, they will place responsibility on you the customer. After a week of ordering nice meals and either mine or my girlfriends dish not showing up, the employees at Caviar decided that I was either a scammer or too much trouble, and simply denied refunds for missing items. I found Uber eats to be a far superior service, with much better customer support, among other perks for customers who use the service regularly. Unfortunately, there are two restaurants I like that are only on caviar. In the past I punched my nose and placed the order which of course eventually went wrong with no recompense for me. That was the final nail in the coffin for me, I will never order through Caviar again. Congrats to Uber on the 5 figure delivery account.

    If you want to pay for a delivery subscription where the delivery people repeatedly drop off your food but forget to pick up and drop off your drink with the food… this is the app for you! If you love eating a hamburger without the milkshake you ordered. Or if you love eating Indian food without the mango lassi you ordered! This is the place. The good news for you is caviar will credit you for the missing idea so you can use the credit to buy more food and drink where they will forget your drink only issuing you more credits towards beverage-less meals! Not to mention all the food waste you can create by have unconsumed beverages be thrown in the trash by the restaurant you ordered from. I don’t know how complicated it is to pick up food. And I have been told by customer service that the dashers do see your order! The good news for teh dashers are that they get tipped in advance so it really doesn’t matter to them if they forgot your drink.

    We ordered from one of our favorite restaurants that we know and love. We have done pick up before by calling and different apps, and never had any issues. Used caviar to save some dollars on our first order. Scheduled pick up for 12:30-12:40. We arrive at the later end to be safe. The restaurant panics as they haven’t even started our order. Food is done about five after. Unfortunately we weren’t picking up for only ourselves but for a birthday get-together so we felt awful showing up late. I raised the issue to Caviar and they offered $10, which barely covered the restaurant tip. I suggested they offer a larger credit as I believe my time is worth more than $10, but they told me that they have a “system” for determine make-up credits. If pickup food being 30 minutes late equates to $10, I can’t imagine how bad it has to be to get more. Spoiled food maybe? The yogurt that came with the biryani was seemingly curdled so maybe I should have brought that up to Caviar. Then I’d get a life-changing windfall of $12! Anyway, we probably should just call the restaurant directly. Lord knows DoorDash/Caviar doesn’t deserve our money — the restaurants do. Lesson learned.

    If I could give it less than 1 star I would. It used to be a good app and I have placed numerous order through them for years without problems. This has changed drastically !! Terrible and rude customer service that doesn’t help and deactivates your account if you complain about anything. Been trying to get an answer for why my account was deactivated but apparently it’s against the rules to order food and pay money for it.

    Customer service is a joke. Anytime something goes wrong, like a pick up order being accepted only to show up and find the restaurant closed, a simple refund requires 20emails back and forth with an agent who despite having already been provided all necessary account info keeps asking for more down to your billing address on credit card. For something that was not my error, why are they so awful?

    I got a flyer in the mail for a 50% discount (CAVLA22), so I downloaded app and decided what I wanted, then entered promo code and App says promo code is invalid (though it met all minimum purchase reqs., I’m a first-time user, and code was not expired). Then, next day I try again and see that within the app there is a promo code (50NEW2) being advertised for 50% off first two orders of $30+, so again, I decide what I want and go to check out…and again it says “invalid”—for the promo code advertised within the App! I tried both promo codes with multiple restaurants and still says code is invalid. So lame and such a waste of time. Will not use or recommend this App—such a terrible use of marketing, like why even send me a flyer or list promo codes if they won’t work?
