Can’t use the app! 1/5

I can’t use the app on my IPad since Choice changed the user names to email addresses. I keep getting the message that indicates an invalid character was entered (the @ sign no doubt). There is an update available for the app that I have except it is only good for version 14 and I have software version 12.5.5. I am not happy with the change to the user name if I can’t use the app. FIX IT!

Worthless app. Won’t let me log in. Won’t send me password reset email. Is linked to Safari so I can’t even use safari to get information on hotels or reservations. Completely and totally useless. Just a series of error messages for everything. I’ve deleted, reinstalled, and cleared cache and nothing changes.

I ordered a $100 Cvs gift card with my points and even screenshot the redemption confirmation page with transaction number . Received a notification that I was going to receive a $25 iTunes card …ABSOLUTELY WRONG!! Called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do …YOUR MISTAKE not mine !! I will no longer be using your hotel chain …

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Comfort Suites Albuquerque Airport. What a pleasant stay we had. We were greeted upon arrival by a lady whose name, unfortunately, I do not remember. She was very polite, friendly, and efficient. Then we went up to our room and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and modern. Everything was literally spotless! The room was very large with a very nice sitting area with a refrigerator and microwave. For the next three mornings we went down to breakfast and was greeted with a lovely smile from Jordan every single morning. He was very polite and friendly and was always busy. The breakfast was delicious! There was always eggs and sausage and sometimes an egg omelette with cheese which works really well with the bagels. I made a nice bagel sandwich every morning. Coffee was piping hot and strong. Just what we need in the morning. Housekeeping went in our room every day and made the bed and took out the trash and left us clean towels. This is one of the few hotels we have been to that still do that post Covid. My husband and I would definitely stay in this hotel again and we definitely recommend it to anyone reading this review. If you are uncertain as to whether or not to book, just book it! You won’t be sorry. Thank you to the management and team of Comfort suites in Albuquerque for a delightful stay. Will be back!

Not letting guests review the recent stay keep you low standards for hotel owners on you chain , bad service dirty hotels, very close to junk. 4.7 star out of 5 on your dreams only this hotels are 1/2 star at the most. And yeah keep this one hidden as you do so it cant be seen.

They will cancel your reservation before you arrive. Refresh your bookings all of the time often. Let’s say that you are at the end of your 12 hour drive, maybe you are arriving late @ 10pm. Your app will show your reservation as cancelled. Surprise!! Even if you got the email confirmation in your email…this will happen. Happened to me, I was at the end of my journey (I’m a senior choice member for 7 years), arriving at my hotel in 5 minutes. Refresh my bookings in the app, and surprise! Go sleep in your car. After speaking with the hotel manager, their explanation “we are overbooked, sorry”. So confirmed bookings for weeks, will be canceled in a minute w/o consulting with you. Surprise. Here are the hotels that cancel you, making you sleep in your car: Sleep Inn, Concord, NC and Quality Suites, Pineville, NC. Enjoy that car mattress.

Beware of the point system. I had an account and because of nonuse I lost days of free stays. Choice seemed to forget about the Covid problem. I protested and was given back half of my points. I didn’t like this. But, what choice did I have. When I attempt to use or get points in my next stay, I was told I did not have an account. I think some employee removed my account. I signed up for a new account and had to set up a new password. When I attempted to use my old password on the new account, I was advised I could not use the old password. This seems to imply that I did have an old account and that because of my protest an employee only partially delete my free days. I was on the phone yesterday to speak with a supervisor and placed on hold for over an hour. D,

The points are awesome if they worked correctly. If the person behind the counter doesn’t put them in for you good luck trying to go back and get them. The app has never picked up a missing stay for me. Then you’ll be on the phone with them for over an hour trying to get them.

They advertise a $50 gift card for every 2 stays. I stayed with them 5 times last month and never got a gift card. Not only am I filing a claim with my states attorney general but I will also be spending my money at Marriott in the future. Choice notes are filthy and ridden with bed bugs. Nasty!

So the reason I created an account and downloaded the app is because it offered a competitive rate compared to the other hotels in the same location. So of course, when I hit book it the price changed from $125 to $174. That’s a $50 difference. What a rip off!!! I could’ve stayed at an Airbnb at the same location for less. Customer BE WARNED!!!

Can’t log in, keeps telling me the system is experiencing problems, three days now. Website works perfectly. When I search for hotels every one it finds is completely booked for my dates. When I go on the website they are all open for booking. Nope. The app isn’t ready for prime time.

Every time I open this piece of junk it tries to get me to change my logon ID to an E-mail. No, I do not wish to do that. It makes my account too easy to hack. I will not sacrifice my security just so that you guys can check a box. No, you may NOT have my phone number to sell to whatever random wants it.
You guys can shove your precious 2-factor authentication. Go ahead and keep my out of date credit card information that you won't let me update.
I did succeed in booking travel on this app, but the extra hoop jumping makes it more of a pain than it needs to be. I will probably delete the app and go back to the Web interface which is more reliable.

I have used this app a few times. Not much price adjustment but everything helps. They may say breakfast but call ahead and clarify. I booked somewhere. It said breakfast. Nice to save some money if one person eats that breakfast but the place had granola and juice and was allowed to say they had a breakfast. Let’s not allow substandard and cost efficient be at the expense of security and structure.

Starting a promotion and limiting the way to exchange points for said promotion is really difficult. Taking the denomination’s away so u don’t know what you are exchanging points for bunk. Then you call CS for help and they tell you to call back in two days because you already exchanged the wrong amount of points. Sometimes it’s good to leave something alone.

DO NOT BOOK ANY CHOICE HOTEL PROPERTIES!!!I wish I could give a zero star review. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service I received this morning from The Quality Inn. I called to ask for a refund after the hotel we stayed in became part of a crime scene. I was scheduled to stay for six nights. I checked in in the early morning hours on June 17th. I was only there for two hours before we had to be escorted out by the police because of our neighbors in the next room. There were also several shady characters hanging around the hotel. I did not want to stay at the hotel because I did not feel safe. When I called to get a refund, they said that is not possible. That is not acceptable. We feared for our safely. I would have hoped Choice Hotels's customer service would stand behind their customers and make things right. Our safety was in jeopardy and they are doing nothing to compensate us. I will be writing a review on every social media out there advising everyone of the horrible services of The Quality Inn and Choice Hotels."
Modify Special Rates malfunction 3/5

I would like to use this app for its convenience. Unfortunately, I cannot. The special rates modifier does not work when I select Military/Veteran (Leisure). Instead I have to contact the hotel to make a reservation who will apply the Veterans rate.
The app does seem nice. I would like to use it if they were able to fix the Special Rates modifier.

I signed up for choice rewards and stayed at a choice hotel 15 nights at $77.15 a night. That’s not too bad, but I signed up because I knew that as much as I stay, I could get free nights every so often, since that’s what they advertise. Nope!! I emailed and emailed and emailed telling Choice that I was never getting credit for my stays and the hotel was saying that I wasn’t paying for my stays. Never heard back them!! False, false advertising!!!

My fiancé and I stay for a couple of nights at The Chandler at White Mountains, it’s was a great experience the rooms were clean a lot of space in the bedrooms, we bring our two puppies with us the great thing is that it is pet friendly, it’s hard to find a pet friendly hotel it’s $50.00 pet fee per each.
We love the experience at the Chandler Hotel.

I only gave them one star because I couldn’t give it none at all. So, I just wanted to simply change my name on my account but because I’m trans. I had to submit a legal documentation even though, We are not required to do so for signing up. When you call in regards to your reservations they have so many policy they don’t notify you about it until you call about a problem. I feel like as a loyal platinum customer I should have been a different approach brought to my attention, About my issue.

I had the best experience here!! The front desk lady was amazing she went above and beyond the call of duty!!! I tipped her for getting use in and she was very nice professional!!! Unlike another location down the street very rude!!!

My family loved the beach and swimming pool!!! Just wanted to say thank you for being nice and turned a bad experience into a great positive one ! Thank you we had a great time!! Well be back!! 10 hours drive was worth it!!

I went on the app to book a room at a Quality Inn for tomorrow night (6/17-6/18) in Menominee WI. I changed the date on the app for tomorrow night. However, the app booked me for tonight! I’m currently at a Comfort Inn in Dickinson ND, over 600 miles from Menominee WI. So I called the front desk in Menominee. They said they couldn’t cancel or change it because it was beyond the cancellation policy. I was given the number to customer service. I received the same runaround from them. So I’m screwed out of $90! And I’m a a long time Diamond member! BE WARNED! Their buggy app will screw you too! Done with Choice Privileges!

Just like the title says don’t waste your time using this app it’s a joke as the hotels do not need to honor reservations or pricing. What’s worse is you will be charged regardless of getting a room or not. The customer service is even worse if you can get someone that speaks English then be prepared for an hour or more sitting on hold I gave up after a little over an hour. Believe what the non paid reviews are saying this is a terrible service.

Don’t expect to find much useful here expect the very basics. In fact when trying to get support the app tells you to open the app again because it is just opening a webpage and their programming is terrible.

I reserved a king suite because had a setting area with a little room divider! and when I got to the hotel was told that I had a king suite but was hearing handicapped room! The room was not what the picture I reserved! The room looked like the regular king room! When I asked the rep at the hotel said it was what the choice app sent them! Will not reserve through the app again!

You will never get any rewards with this app!! It took me a couple years to earn enough points for a gas giftcard (~10 stays), but anytime I try to redeem my points it just asks for more and more of my personal info. If you give it and do every single thing it asks, you will just get the pinwheel of death when you try to redeem your points for a simple $25 gas card. Btw the points I earned from their promotion would have been a $50 gas card, but of course I got the pinwheel of death back then as well. Basically I have wasted about 7 hours of my life trying to redeem these useless points for a little bit of gas. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the hotels they have, save one… the “Clarion” about an hour north of Atlanta should be condemned. Also, I’m pretty sure you can’t use foul language on here as the first title I put for this review got it canceled immediately. I have never reviewed anything in my life, if that tells you how frustrated I am with this app.

Stole money from my account cuz they charged me multiple times for one reservation (4 to be exact) then they never returned my money and said I had used to the money to buy points twice. If I bought these so called points, how come the aren’t in my account? And why are they taking over 14,000 points away from me? That’s $180 they stole from me then denied And 24,000 missing from my account.

I have had this for ten years and NEVER got a free night something was always wrong.
My number was cxw20403 and ever time i got a room i needed a couple more stays.
I am 75 years old and I have been on the phone over an hour trying to see what is going on ,
2 times i was hung up on.
I tried to set up new account to NO avail.
Now they said they wiped out my points as of May 1st, I thought you never lost your points…
I always kept my card and made sure i used one of your hotels but now I will keep my card and make sure that I don’t forget and stay in your hotels.
Sorry you lost a good customer although it did not work for me.
I need a room in Hattiesburg,Ms but it will not be with CHOICE privileges……

I’m not impressed with this program or app at all. They advertise promotions like “stay two nights by May 8” and you get a free night. But, what they don’t tell you is what you’re really only getting is a minimum amount of bonus points(5,000 to 8,000) which is not nearly enough bonus points to make a reservation for a free night so it’s a complete bait and switch. In the Seattle Tacoma marketplace you cannot get a free night for anything under 16,000 points but utilizing the promotion you would only have 10,000 bonus points. Which does not equal a free night as plainly stated. Maybe if I find some cheap hotel that’s in a completely unsafe area out in the middle of the Hicks then you can stay for free, otherwise waste of time.
