Never use choice! 1/5
I will never use Choice brand hotels again. More specifically, the Comfort Inn & Suited in Merriville, Indiana ( Paul Ding is the hotel manager). They charged my credit card even after I canceled a reservation. When I called to speak with the manager, he was rude, arrogant, unprofessional (totally ghetto) and no help at all! Even though he could, he refused to reverse the charges that were put in my credit card.
I called corporate, ended up speaking with Paula who was as helpful as she could be - she is refunding 1/2 of the money charged to my card. I appreciate that very much but I will NEVER give them another dime of my hard earned money!
I will make sure I blog and post on all of my social media account my or experience with Choice Hotels. Maybe they will learn to treat their customers better when WE stop spending out money with their brand!!!!

We have been using the app on our road trip and it has been easy and convenient. We have been quite satisfied with the lodgings, especially the comfortable beds and hot breakfasts and it has been simple to book and modify bookings.

I had been a Choice Hotel member for over ten years and recently I couldn’t redeem points. I didn’t know redeeming points for hotel nights was such a pain. Nobody took the points. I’ve been trying to use points for over a year but all these franchised owners don’t accept points. I’ve lost all my earned points this month. So much for being a loyal customer. I will never stay at this hotel chain again. Bunch of losers.

I stayed at this hotel twice in the same month when a family member was ill. The first stay I accidentally left the case for my new eye glasses in the room. The second time I stayed I asked if the case was there. It was, much to my surprise. It’s not an expensive item but I was happy that the staff is so honest. Rooms are always clean, coffee is delicious and the eggs on the breakfast buffet are cracked eggs, not the usual scrambled eggs, which is a nice change.

This is the worst Comfort Inn we have ever stayed in. We picked this hotel for the view because it was overlooking the Mississippi River. That was the only good thing about it. We stayed for 3 nights and every morning they ran out of food for breakfast, nothing was restocked. They didn’t even have any bread for toast. Our room was only made up once and when it was we still had to go to the front desk to ask for coffee. There wasn’t any towels in the pool area we had to go ask for them too. On top of that we were locked out of our room on the last day. We had to go get our room key reset. When we confronted the manager his reply was “so be it” he didn’t seem to care. If he didn’t care then neither did his staff and it showed in everything about the hotel. Maybe they should get a new manager.

Not happy, got into room the temp was 80 inside. Finally got air on and then in the middle of the night it stopped working. Was 80 by morning. Water faucet in sink was so bad it took both hands pulling with all my might to get it turned on. When presented to the staff the reaction was “ oh ya we have been having some problem with the air units in some rooms”. REALLY??? then fix them!! We pay over $100 a night and cant even get out of the heat...no apologies, no discounts just oh ya we know... NOT OK! won’t be going back there.

I’ve been staying in the Choice Hotels for quite sometime now!! They are always clean and comfortable!! Out of my last 10-12 stays I only had one bad experience?!! And that was, I believe someone was just having a bad day!!! Everyone is usually always very friendly and almost glad to see you!!
I highly recommend staying there!! I also suggest joining the Choice Hotel Program! They give you points for staying there,& after 8000 points(which doesn’t take long to get) you can get a FREE NIGHT!! I have already had 2-3 free night over the last 2 years!!

Something is wrong with the app right now. For days I have been trying to book a hotel in Wilmington, NC using part points and part cash. I book hotels that way through the app all the time, and for some reason, it isn’t working. Also, my payment info on file seems to have disappeared. As a gold member, I pretty much always book via the app and I love it! But there’s a bug right now that’s keeping it from working properly...
tonight’s stay has been interesting to say the least. computers down when we got here...i was patient with the lengthy check in process. We decided to eat at the restaurant. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side. Brought the salad with the dressing on it and they assumed i would just eat it. I turned it away and said i wouldn’t. New salad brought...dressing on the side WITH THE SAME CHICKEN FROM THE FIRST SALAD WITH DRESSING STILL ON IT. I don’t know if they attempted to wipe it off or lick it off in the kitchen but i took it back to the counter and asked them to take it off the bill. Manager came by twice awkwardly and merely offered free dessert. I had to go back to my room to grab a protein bar while my family ate their dinner. Also, the pool is in poor shape. Railings can be pulled out of the ground and the hot tub jets only sometimes work. Pool room is what I would describe as crusty. Would not recommend this place.

This may be our first time at this hotel but it will NOT be the last. The personal attention is absolutely awesome. The text to check in with you is easy way to keep in touch. I am very sensitive to dust, I asked Amber if it was possible to have the a/c filter changed/cleaned. I was afraid to ask because my request is usually received rather negatively. But a sinus headache is not fun and usually my norm at hotels. This was no problem for the maintenance staff and it was taken care off within a few hours. This is HUGE for me and will earn my loyalty. I’m glad to have read similar reports of other facilities in other cities, this is definitely a win. Thank you for all you do.
In 2 says, we’ve been to 2 choice hotels that felt miles away, but really are close! From Cincinnati downtown to a beautiful area of Kentucky that feels real home town! I’m thinking of just making it a long weekend! It is Mother’s Day after all!

Don’t ever stay here if you have high expectations because you will be let down . Pool was cold , breakfast was over cooked, bartender is horrible does not know how to make drinks correctly. The rooms have water damage as well as the whole motel. Beds were broken , I will never stay there ever again ! If I could post pictures here I would !

They say that you stay 2 nights & get a free night (in 72 hours). However, they told me after staying 5 nights I’d lost my free night which is not only a lie they made up to get your business, not to mention sooo unprofessional but also a ginormous load of Horse****!! I’m sooo sorry I EVER joined & became a so-called member with Choice Hotels. Don’t get me wrong bc I thoroughly ENJOYED the hotel I stayed with but I lost a lot of money booking my reservation with the Choice App. Just make sure you make your reservations directly with the hotel or bc it will cost the same or reserve with Priceline. Unless you just like to lose money, being LIED to about everything that Choice Hotel tells you and Screwed Over at the same time.

Of the 4 days we were there in February 2019, breakfast was almost out each day of our stay with no replenishment (even at 8am). Worst part of our stay was the poor customer service on the part of management and her front desk staff. Two mornings in a row we were awoken around 6am by loud music yelling and screaming from the guests in the neighboring room. Numerous complaints were made including knocking on their door at 6am. Manager advised guests were being moved to another hotel but we later discovered on our last night (again they were noisy) that management did nothing about these unruly guests. Even called corporate headquarters upon our return home and they did nothing. No information available in which to locate the franchise owner. Will be returning to the area later this year but will be staying at The Hampton Inn a little further up the road. Comfort Inn has always been a preferred for us but no more. Very unsatisfied guests here.
Econolodge near Domain- Arboretum 1/5
The entire experience was the worse ever ! Used some points and had to pay $75 a night deposit for each night . What??? Had a hard time getting cash back that I had to give for third night ; even though stayed in same room and they had another hold of $75 on card. The hotel was a dump! Air didn’t work in first room . Door had to jarred open with shoulder . AND to top it all off ... they had to inspect my room for damage before I could get back my cash . Only one person was friendly . He manager Dash - was rude and sarcastic. We are cancelling our rewards program and NEVER staying at a choice HOtEL again . Awful !!!!

We have been here for a little over a month and besides an incident with a rude staff member; this hotel is great. First of all, it’s right off of hwy 52, and about a 15-20 minute drive to Mount Airy or Winston Salem. They are in the middle of a remodel and even though there have been some negatives to that ( loud power tools, switching rooms, leaking sinks...ect) the staff has been amazing with tending to our needs. There are quit a few hotels around the area, but I believe that the Econolodge is the best for the price.
My stay at Quality Inn 1/5
We have been members of Choice hotels for the past several years. It has been mixed experience. The worst experience has been the Quality Inn. Past 14 days has been so bad that I can’t explain much in words. No good WiFi service, door of the room have been not safe, terrible hospitality, an hour wait to check in. The list goes on. I would recommend customers not to choose this hotel as it takes money but offers a Quality Inn stay without any quality. It’s my last stay here. No more stay at this hotel. Good bye
Was a little questionable at first from being in other econo lodges. Once I checked in I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been at the econo lodge now for work for about 3 months. Since I’ve been here they have done tons of improvements. They have gotten rid of the carpeted rooms. HUGE PLUS!!! I went home for a week and upon my return I noticed they had laid new carpet in the hallways. Very nicely done. While here one day while at work, they changed out my old curtains for new ones as well as put new bed frames around the bottom of the beds!
Kara the lady that is head of house keeping was amazing the first time I met her. I had an issue with my fridge. She took the old one out and put the new one in. For the next week she checked with me as to how the new fridge was working. The house keeping staff as well as the front desk staff have all been very accommodating to myself and my crew. As long as I’m working here I’ll be staying at this hotel.
Ripping off the unsuspecting be careful dealing with choice 1/5
They promise the free room and even let you make plans. Then they tell you about “the rules”. How even though you made all the reservations in advance you can’t use you points that way. Or sorry you only earn that if you did this and then waited a couple of days and did that. It is like playing a board game with a toddler. The rules only exist if it costs them. The hotels are just cheap hotels screw the rewards or the rewards will screw you.
Went to get my reserved room. After an 11 hour drive to attend my sisters funeral. Only to be told they gave our room away to other customers. We reserved a first floor handicapped room. They told us it was close to an outside door. We are both disabled and have trouble walking.
They put us in a second floor room and told use we couldn’t have the handicapped room we needed.
We went to the 7 winds casino they gave us a King suite two rooms for 102.00. A better price nicer employees. Very disappointed with the Hayward, WI Comfort Suites.

The prices and quotes that Choice gets you is awesome. On another hand, trying to cancel, change, or get refunded is impossible. I accidentally selected the wrong week for check in and check out and when I noticed and try to change the dates the hotel I chose was booked up so I tried to cancel it. What the app/website does not make clear is that you cannot cancel your reservation nor can you change your reservation date after you have already prepaid online. Calling customer service is absolutely pointless. The guy I talked to over the phone knew less about the company then I did and could not help me in any type of way. The only thing he could tell me was that he can’t cancel my reservation and that he couldn’t help me any further then he “already has”. Not only could he not help me but he was mumbling and talking really low. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I just made a reservation. I’ve been a Choice Hotels customer for many yeas and have qualified for gold and platinum levels many times. The reservation app said the room reservation I was making was abke to be changed or cancelled for free. AFTER I made the reservation, up popped the statement that the period for changing or cancelling the reservation had closed!!!!!! Talk about two-faced advertising! Now, I don’t need to change or cancel my reservation, I’m just VERY upset that your app tells me one thing and then after you get my reservation, you tell me something 180 degrees opposite. VERY CROOKED BUSINESS! You need to fix this. Just like you need to get rid of your stupid commercial saying that goes something like BADDA BOOM BADDA BING. If I didn’t already use Choice Hotels, that commercial would ensure that I would never use Choice Hotels!!! I turn the channel whenever I see ithat commercial come up — kinda bad for whatever program that I stoppedviewing. Choice Hotels needs to get its act together and its head out of you-know-where!!!
Worst customer service ever 1/5
On 04/27 I booked online a stay at one of your properties in Lafayette, La for checking in that day and leaving out on the next day. As I was in route to the property I received a phone call from a Sheranda informing me that she needed to cancel my reservation because she had a walkin customer there and needed to give the room I had booked to the walk in customer because they were actually on the property and I wasn’t. She offered to find me a hotel elsewhere, but I declined because I was told this particular hotel was the one I needed to stay at. Then the one she offered to send me too was already sold out as well. So I didn’t understand how she was going to get me a room there when they were sold out already. While I appreciated the effort for the accommodation that should have been offered to the walk-in customer to find a room vs me since I already had guaranteed my stay by booking online. This was bad customer service and I was not treated fairly at all. I literally had to drive around to every hotel that was nice to find if a room was available. I do not like staying at just any hotel establishment so this time was wasted because for me I already had a room and it was abruptly taken from me with no regard like I wasn’t a customer. No customer should be treated like this. I was coming due to a family member being admitted into the hospital with no room to stay at relatives houses. For me I feel like I was just abandoned and no customer should feel that way. This was very poor customer service Choice Hotels and from the looks of things something needs to change and quickly.
My biggest thing is I wish that they told you how much the security deposit is before you get there.
And that you are NOT able to split it into two types of payments.
Totaling in almost a $300 stay for one night.
Oh but you do get a free breakfast

Be aware that this app lists some really sketchy hotels! Don’t be fooled that the rates are just pretty good! look up separate reviews for the hotel before you book or pick rates on the upwards of $160+ a night. or else you may end up with a hooker/drug hotel and having to pay double for a better hotel through another app.

I always go to this location. The up keep is not the best. But the staff is nice . And it’s really clean. I stayed last night , got up this morning went down stairs to breakfast and it was a miracle, they had meat. This location and staff are the best.

Used this app for a two week trip. I’d been very pleased with the functionality and ease of use. However, for the past three days I’ve been unable to log in. Although I’m using my saved login ID and password- just like I’d been doing for the previous two weeks- it tells me that it’s incorrect. Then when I try to recover my account it doesn’t recognize my email address or CP ID as valid. Something happened! Was it the recent upgrade? I’m at least happy that it worked on our trip and hopefully will be resolved soon.
Sorry about the low rating. I’ve been trying to get help through Customer Service.

Regarding your experience this concerns were not communicated at the time of check out, there was an offer to change room, discount rate and even choice offered you points and all were declined by you. Comfort Inn And Suites Jupiter
I recently stayed at a choice hotel in Jupiter Fl. I reported that the tub water would not shut off. Tiles fell off of the bathroom wall. The carpet edging fell of of the wall. It’s true I was offered to change rooms but was in willing to move my sleeping children to another room. We did except a 30 dollar discount and was told to call corporate because they did not have a manager on site.

The hotel had a nice relaxing feel to it. During my stay I felt comfortable as if I hadn’t even left home. The pool and the gym were kept up extremely well. I never had a problem with my room. It was always kept in high standards thanks to the cleaning staff. Daylin, Veronica, Jesse, and Sandra were really good at their jobs I never had an issue. They were always nice to me. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would give them a 20 I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel with the. I would definitely recommend the Burlington Washington comfort suites to any and everyone coming this way. I will make another trip soon and to all the other staff they deserve 20’s too 😁😁😁
