My wife and I were to stay at the Columbus, Indiana Econo-Lodge. The room did not have a functioning heating unit. When we asked to have the $80 room charge refunded, the desk clerk put in an $800 room charge then another $80 charge. After daily calls to the motel and corporate, the $800 charge was refunded four days later. We still do not have the other $160 owed to us. Do not stay at this motel. They are idiots. Thinking about a different hotel chain next time.

If you use points and cash why do they charge you for an additional day that you have not stayed.
I booked a room for this weekend that’s 6,000 cash and $15 dollars points for 8/18- and checking out 8/20 which is 3 days and 2 nights. I thought it should be 12,000 points + $30 but it’s saying 24,000 points and $30 maybe I’m missing something

The app is great for locating a hotel to stay, however, it will not let me sign in with my username and password! It constantly tells me my sign in information is incorrect! Major glitch and needs to be corrected!

I was trying to put my stay towards my points. The lady at the front desk said it was on. But the app had nothing. It was frustrating trying to find how to add my stay to the loyalty points but no luck. There is no search function other than to find a hotel. Nor is there an email address for customer support. Please add these features!

The updates continue to be failures!! Since 4 updates ago the app won’t accept my username and password. It works on the website but not in the app. It’s been costing Choice my business since the software people can’t get it right!!!!

I did not enjoy my stay here. There’s no breakfast available due to the in room kitchens. I was given a smoking room. I don’t smoke.
Above all. I checked in early Sunday morning which is Saturday night to them for my two day reservation and was kicked out early. Ruined my meeting on Tuesday morning.
The crackheads/call girls and foot traffic did not make my stay any more enjoyable.
All is so simple and make it’s really convenient to book travel for work and pleasure !!! Plus all the bonus deals extra points for all members, me being a Diamond member the perks are very better. Love Choice brand hotels !

No customer service. No option for chat with representative, can’t reach a live person for help with logging in to app. Reservation agents are willing to make a reservation if you know where but not willing to help you figure out which locations would work best.

Stayed two nights at hotel in Longview Texas. First night had to prop shower valve open with bar of soap and on second night not enough water pressure to even take shower. This place needs to get their act together. Rude man at check in and only friendly staff was the lady in kitchen. I travel to Longview quite often but never will stay here again. They ought to refund because of the bad accommodations and rude staff

I just received an email this morning about my stay in Maryland on September 27, 2019. When I called to question them about it because #1. I have never been to Maryland #2. I was in Birmingham Alabama on September 27th working 2:30a- 4:20p and returned to work on September 30, working 2:43a-4:46p. As I was talking to them they told me I stayed at the Hotel in Maryland. Lol. I asked them did I show my I’d. They’re response was that it was not required because they booked through a 3rd party (Expedia). Huh. So I then asked them did they sign for room. They said yes but would not send me a copy of the signature. If it’s supposedly my signature, why not?? I’m done with Choice Hotels!!!

So we travel a lot. I am pregnant and we have a toddler, when we booked our room for this weekend the choice app was not working and we had to book fast because there was a festival in Ithaca and the rooms were already all booked. I went through another website called Snap Travel and I was so disappointed. They booked the room and pulled out the money right away for an econo lodge and sent us the confirmation. When we arrived the lady at the desk informed us there was only one smoking room left. That was a definite no for us. Neither one of us smoke, I’m pregnant and we have a toddler so we asked if they could give us the refund ASAP (weekend trip with very limited funds) so we could book somewhere else or we’d have to go home. Anyways I had 6000 points and I went on and looked for a free room with the points to try to save the weekend and we were able to get a nice room with Quality Inn for 40 dollars plus the points. The man I spoke with was so hard working and polite and really pulled through to save us and our trip. We are home now and still waiting on the other refund. I will only use choose from here on out. Any problem call the 1-800 number and ask for Hector!!!!

The points plus cash option charges you Immediately! Not when you get to the hotel and then it LOOKS like all points in your reservation history. Then if your plans change they keep all the money. Still not confinced you get the points back either. Called customer service they did NOTHING.
Before being screwed by this, I had an awesome road trip of hotels all coordinated over this app this summer earning points that I apparently can't redeem nearly as easily.

Very clean stay here often never had a issue. The only issue was the air conditioner wasn’t working properly called front desk the staff came up right away and reset it. I really like the atmosphere and again the staff is very pleasant and fast check in

We have stayed in many many hotels around the Salem are, I’ll be the first to tell you, this place is amazing. It may not be brand new but you can count of the staff to be top notch. Breakfast is amazing, house keeping does their job very well and the office staff keeps it professional yet makes u feel like your coming home instead of a motel 6. They get 5 stars and 2 thumbs up in my book.

This Supposed “Rewards Program” is the “WORST” One Out There.
Rewards Programs Are “Suppose” To Be For Perks, Not Inconveniencing The Patrons... Making A Member Leave A Hotel And Go To Another, Checking In & Out, And Having To Wait 24 Hrs Between Stays.... Then Wait 72 Hours To Then Get Points Is Not Only Inconveient but Its Insane!!
Not Only Is The Program Completely Inefficient But Its Cost Prohibitive To Each Location’s Property Proprietor In Labor Cost...i.e Cleaning Room, Washing Lenins, Paperwork, It’s & The Program’s Points Reconciliation....etc. (WHAT A JOKE.).
This Program Is Setup For Transient People... Not Business Executives.
NO WAY, Could This Choice Rewards Program Be Anywhere Near Winning Any Rewards.

I called support and spent 40 minutes trying to buy or add points in order to preserve my points that were currently on the app and expire in October I was transferred to acsecond agent and issue not solved. The first agent also put me on hold to get help. Told me to do the same thing 3 times but buy points option not on my app

Just called 10:30 minutes recording. Before anyone said anything I was hung up on when the recording stop and it seemed I was disconnected. Called back and was disconnected before a recording. What is going on w customer support

This app used to be good. Now it stinks. It used to have a map to view locations on. What happened to the map? It was nice to zoom in and out on the map to view all of the hotels that were near my location. For me, that is what made this app. Without the map I have no use for this app. When you bring the map back I’ll be back.

very disappointed...site seems to be always having issues on booking reservation. I book every week and i want to be able to do it conveniently on my phone. But since there are ALWAYS issues, i have to wait until i get to my laptop. So annoying!

Visiting Virginia to ride the Virginia Creeper. The room stunk horribly of cigarette smoke. My granddaughter has asthma and it bothered her. I didn’t want to even walk in the room without shoes on. I asked ahead of time for non-smoking room. We will never stay in another Econo Lodge. Totally disgusted with the stay!
