Don’t sign up for more than a month. 1/5
Bought a 6 month subscription in Philadelphia.
NO matches came up in a 100 mile radius.
I emailed support willing to pay part of the $160 fee but not the whole fee. (I only made this purchase 48 hours ago before I realized the only matches reaching out to me were out of state and even out of the country !)
The response I got was ...
Thanks for your message. If you would like to receive even more matches, you may need to expand your preferences as much as possible.
I've looked at your account and noticed that you made your purchase through the ChristianMingle iOS app. In that case, if you need help with the purchase you made through iTunes, you'll need to contact Apple Support directly at 1-800-275-2273. If you have any questions regarding the features on the site, we would be happy to assist you.
Luckily Apple was fully supportive and I received a full refund.
Christian Mingle... Is a waste of time and money 1/5
In my opinion..(male) This site is for old desperate people who would settle for anyone, and has 3 years to wait for someone “maybe” to show up in which time you would have most likely spent over $2,000 just to get noticed. I’ve hade two meaningful connections to people who were soooo far away the relationship could only work with a teleportation device or a nasty case of codependency. On top of that there were fake profiles, and even one case of warnings of fraud on a banned profile all in the small timeframe I’ve been on. The Value was not here for me gentlemen, I would caution you in thinking “oh I’m spending more money the results should be better” Because I never write Reviews and the awful experience coupled with the price tag left me upset and self conscious, unlike any other dating sites which I’ve had much more successful meaningful relationships. Try it for a month and see what I mean
Rip off 1/5
Really? Tricking people into a non-refundable fee. You make Tinder look dignified.
Trying to sign up 1/5
Trying to sign ip and it looks like this app is broken. Looks like there is broken code that is showing in the app and it will not allow me to sign up.
Another Pay to Talk App 1/5
Need to buy a subscription for like $25 a month to even contact anyone 🙄🙄 Tried this app out coz I keep seeing memes about it. I now realize why you only hear about it in memes and not real life. It’s a bit riduclous to have to pay $25 a month just to talk to someone. maybe even something like 20 free chats or something will work better than the current system.
Not good 1/5
By U know this game is no good
Can not talk to anyone;( very sad
Same 4 to 6 matches NEVER ANYONE NEW 1/5
I’m not picky and I’m willing to drive over 100 miles, but I have the same 4 to 6 matches month after month. Moths and not 1 date or even response! This is not worth my time if it were free.
Too expensive! 1/5
Is waaaaay overprice!
Don’t pay for it. Not worth it 1/5
I downloaded the app, paid a subscription fir a month and only got to talk with about 3 girls. I think very few people pay the subscription (if you don’t pay, you can’t chat), therefore, there are very few potential matches. I would prefer that they let adds run, and let people chat for free, that would increase the number of subscribers.
Keeps loading same people... 1/5
The purpose of a dating site is to meet new people, this app is NOT doing that right now. It’s had its problems in the past for certain, but this is really not working. I’ve wanted to meet more girls, but it’s not loading more people. And even on the “online” (currently online) section, it shows the same people!!! I really hope I have something set up wrong on my account, but I’ve checked everything I know to do. I want to use your services, ChristianMingle, but you’re not working right!!!
A Hassle 1/5
Due to some unfortunate events in my life, I find myself alone. I came to this app/site because I’m looking for a relationship and not a hook-up.
They suspended my account the moment I made it and then request a whole bunch of personal documents, like recent bills and my drivers license. I’m not providing that to a dating site.
I’m still trying to recover from the situation that made me single in the first place and I don’t need this hassle... The only thing I’ll say in the sites defense is that ALL dating site are horrible. Most people are looking for a booty call or to stuck up to communicate to you. They ALL are a waste of time and money.
No members 1/5
By B. A. R.
I’m from Indianapolis. I have widened my age range in which to meet someone, but within 50 miles from me, there are 3 men to choose from. ONLY 3! What a waste of money!
Most trash app ever.
Don’t bother!! 1/5
I downloaded the app and even paid for the first month. I immediately canceled my account because I didn’t want to get charged again.
Low and behold a month later I got hanged AGAIN even though I got notified that it was canceled. When trying to get reimbursed apple said to contact them so I did three times and they told me to go to apple. I have not been reimbursed and I keep getting the run around from them.
Kid was playing with my phone and opened the app. Hit the upgrade button which is hard not to do and when I grabbed my phone my thumbprint approved the purchase and they won’t refund $50.Garbage and bush league. Have a friend that hosts a sports radio show and they discuss dating apps all of the time. I’ve been a guest a few times. Asked him when I could come on again and I’ll be on Thursday. Checking with my attorney to see if I can say Christian Mingle or not use the name, but everyone will know what the app is even if I don’t use their name. Can’t wait
I need a refund please. 5/5
I joined this christianmingle site and after deducting my money from my iTunes account , I was unable to log in and I was suspended . Please I need a refund of my money back to my iTunes account . $80 removed from my iTunes account .
Not as I thought 1/5
Not happy with this site have not received any dates yet
Not worth the money 1/5
Highly over priced application that does not even function as advertised. So many spam accounts that are constantly getting removed, you pay for a subscription and once your subscription ends you can’t view past conversation history with people you have messages with - which if you ask me, you should be entitled to see previous history since you were a paying member at the time. Owners of this app are money hungry and not really looking to help relationships come about. “Christian” at least. Plus they control all that goes on your site, you can’t put any other social media info on there without them denying it, just so they make sure they get you to pay. Scam
Um, there are no members using this? 1/5
Cost me $100 for a 3 month subscription. Only got 2 matches both of which are half the country away? Matching system seems to ignore your matching criteria. Does anyone use this?? About to dispute with my cc company.
One of the worst 1/5
It is overpriced with little results. The majority of the men I encountered were lethargic. Many were unattractive. This site has loss its luster.
Probably one of the Worst Sites for Dating 1/5
I wouldn’t necessarily blame the app/website as much as I would the people on the site. On other websites I had loads of success with men interested in me that I was actually quite attracted to, just didn’t work out because we had different beliefs. So, I tried Christian Mingle since I was looking for someone with the same beliefs as I did. I don’t know if the men on this website are stuck up or they aren’t seeing my profile because I have liked 10+ people, have had the app for over a month, yet have no mutual likes yet. Even the men I matched with at 99% and liked will view me and that’s it. No response or likes from there. Wouldn’t recommend to people looking for something specific because you likely won’t get any responses from any people you’re interested in. Now for the website. The subscription is way over priced, definitely for people who make decent money, not college students. Without the subscription you cannot view messages unless the other person has a subscription. Honestly no point in being on this website unless you are willing to pay a lot of money for it. Have tried to give this website a chance since I am seriously looking for a relationship that is centered around Christ, but will most likely delete because of the lack of success I’ve found with this app.
Not okay 2/5
It’s not okay that you don’t have already free chat for anyone. How can you find a Christian relationship if you can’t even talk to people that don’t have a membership?? I mean if this is suppose to be a #1 app for Christians than it shouldn’t be this hard to talk And find other Christians. It’s hard enough as it is. This website should make it easier for every Christian .
Save your money. Not a soul on there. 1/5
I am so bummed that I paid for a subscription. There is nobody on this site. Nobody. Waste of money. Go with Bumble, OkCupid, Tinder, or Coffee Meets Bagel in that order. Hundreds of people and you can communicate on Those 4 for free.
Too much guessing 4/5
Why is there no personality questionnaire? There’s so much time wasted in trying to talk to someone who is a “99% match’ but ends up being incompatible
Fake profiles/unsafe/no refund 1/5
Tons of fake profiles. Lots of fake profiles who immediately asked for personal information or asked for phone numbers or email in their first message. ChristianMingle support refuses to acknowledge this or refund anything. Calling my bank.
Fakes & more flakes 3/5
I didn’t think there would be so many fake profiles on here or do many men wanting women 20 years younger. I thought I was going to find men of substance here. Can’t get away from creeps
Pay to find love 1/5
I hate the pay to find love type apps,
“Oh this girl messaged you, well subscribe to our monthly plan to message her back”
I’m glad the okcupid and tinder isn’t like that, so I’m sticking with those
No notifications 3/5
By BRAD PO
You really need to put notifications as an option. I get messages and unless I stay on there 24/7 I won’t know until the next time I get on.
Can’t view photos-Don’t waste your money. 1/5
I’ve had the app for a few days now and since then I’ve been unable to view any photos even my own. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it as well as restore my purchase, thinking it would help-nothing changed. I thought it was my WiFi or Carrier, but nope, I still ran into the same situation. Just wasted my money for nothing.
no profile photos and settings don’t uodate
Non-functional app 1/5
it takes you to one screen and then there is no way to get back to the home screen or to any other, you are stuck. Very surprised at the lack of basic functionality.
Can’t unsubscribe 1/5
By Laura from IA
This app won’t let you unsubscribe and will keep charging you bc there’s no way to actually unsubscribe. I followed the instructions and it tells me it can’t connect to the App Store. I’ve already done the unsubscribing steps twice and it’s still scheduled to run my card again later this month. If you go online and stop your renewal, that doesn’t work bc it runs through the App Store and Christian Mingle takes no responsibility for its program you can’t unsubscribe from. Don’t set up your financials through the app if you’re going to use it bc you can’t get rid of them. Now I need to contact apple to figure out how to stop this.
Don’t waste your money 1/5
By Adam W
I’ve been on Christian Mingle a few times over the years and it has one major problem: a limited selection of users, some who are paying but most who are not. This makes contacting people very hit and miss as you don’t know who is paying and thus can message you back. I’ve had several friends try this site with no luck. I’ve had better results finding quality Christian matches on eHarmony.
Cant see messages 1/5
I dont like how they changed the app. It looks nice but still functions bad. Before you could see if someone messaged or at least “smiled” at you then it motivated you to pay for months subscription. Now you cant see any messages or Likes or smiles! Which is Dumb. I dont care about it anymore because I cant see if anyone is interested in me. Poor customer service team as in the past. They need to understand consumer behavior better and maybe take a psychology class.
Update: Now they fixed it where you can tap on the envelope and then tap on a person who smiled or messaged you and NOW you can see the message they sent or smile they sent before you pay. It wasn't like that before with the new update.
Horrible User Experience 1/5
This review is not about the service. If the app worked half way decently I'd give five stars. The chat just is unusable.
Don't waste your time... 1/5
For starters, you can't remove profiles you aren't interested in even though the person is not what you are looking for. This forces you to continually search through the same profiles of people you aren't interested in to find any new potential connections and even if you finally find someone you are interested chances are they won't give you any time of day or response so that a connection even has a chance of being developed. Then there's the problem of the price required to talk to people. The price to subscribe is way overpriced considering it's all a gamble with no guarantee of paying off. I would look into other online dating apps if I was interested in continuing to pursue online dating. This app and my overall user experience has ruined any chance of using their services.
By CAITI F
I like the site, the app and website is terrible. Really slow and buggy and it takes forever to load sometimes. Sometimes my phone shuts off when I open the app but I’ve met some nice people on here
Change things up 2/5
Can you please make it kind of like Tinder in the sense that the other person cannot contact you or message you unless you both like each other or match... also the LookBook should be better, when you swipe left on someone they shouldn’t keep popping up. Also you should allow people to only put one picture, or a picture of not their face. This app should be simpler, like if you should only be able to contact the person you swiped right on. You can look at everyone and like whoever but can’t contact unless they both liked each other.
Advertise more bc I do not have a lot of them near me, this app should be free like Tinder. Make it better. Fix it.
Latest update is even worse than the last! 1/5
I’ve been on ChristianMingle off and on for a few years. The latest app update is absolutely terrible. The profile info is now all jumbled together, and CM got rid of the political preference section. That is important to some people! I guess CM is getting all PC! My profile views have dropped to about 25% of what they used to be with the new app. This site is a far cry from what it used to be, and I discontinued my membership. Such a shame that Sparks bought out CM and ruined the app and website.
By Grandma Dino
There seems to be more scammers than real people on here. Not too happy with the contacts that have been made, but trusting God that the right person just hasn’t been found yet.
Limited viewing 3/5
By Petunia Page
I used the site ten years ago and remember being able to look at lots of pictures and descriptions. Maybe the phone app is different from the online computer site
New app 1/5
I have been a member off and on this app for a couple years. This new app is terrible. I get a fraction of the interaction that I use to. I pay for a subscription then they ask for another payment on top of that one to be moved to the top of searches. Its about money not Christians interacting with Christians!
Your app is terrible 1/5
Messenger is glitchy and you’ll deleted spark and promised to bring it back and chat room and still nothing there’s nothing exclusive to you’ll anymore except you’ll charge a very high price compared to eharmony and match that offer way more for less.
Everything is money.. 1/5
You can’t do anything without paying 30$ minimum a month, this is crazy.
can not register 1/5
can not register
I am so disappointed with CM since you redesigned the app I can barely see people near me. So limited to navigate and get in touch with real people. I canceled my subscription. In the past I was able to see more people In my area. Now with the new design just a few. I can count them with my fingers literally
App fails to render icons 2/5
By Frederick C Doe
App fails to render icons correctly. All of the buttons show their attribute tags instead of the icons.
Christian Mingle, I can send you screenshots. Reply with the email address that I should send them to and a link to your public PGP key.
By jack 1965
I have the wrong age on myself and don’t know how to fix it
The search function does not work so you cannot see who is recently online.
Clunky and poor navigation 2/5
This needs work. It’s very hard to navigate out of the various pages.... the only option is to go all the way to the home page each time or restart the application.
