Cincinnati.com app reviews

  • Convoluted way to cancel subscription 1/5

    By plphilli
They make it impossible to cancel.
  • Buggy, info out of date 2/5

    By Dave-uhhhgvgjk
Events section often has out of date info, and few entries for current/upcoming events. Links sometimes lead to pages that don’t load.
  • Jumble APP needs improvement 1/5

    By DAKinCincy
Jumble App doesn’t work well on iPad. Sometimes doesn’t respond to letter selection on words. Sometimes doesn’t display letters for solving or they are displayed behind the blanks and you can’t see them to select. So I then go to another online paper to print it. So frustrating. And I am working so I don’t have time to fool with this before bolting out the door in the morning. By the time I get home, I’m not in the mood. I use it to jump start my brain first thing.
  • Login is terrible 1/5

    By docbjr
Pain in the butt to login
  • Zero stars 1/5

    By mms please
Absolute garbage. They take my money but I almost never have access to the digital edition. Keeps wanting me to activate a new account.
  • Great local paper And app 5/5

    By 1bmoney
Cincinnati.com is fantastic. Love their sports coverage. Love their local news coverage. App is very user-friendly.
  • Subscription only 1/5

    By Fattireacw
App doesn’t let you read anything more than 3 lines unless u are a subscriber, maybe download the homepage instead.
  • Great Resource 5/5

    By theonlybearcat1
A great resource to stay up to date locally and all over the country.
  • How many times do you need my password? 1/5

    By AlanPickett
I am repeatedly being asked to sign in after I am greeted “welcome back, Alan”. Will I ever get through? All I want is my Sunday paper that I paid for.
  • App works well. Journalism is weak. 2/5

    By T j bach
It’s amazing how subjective and politically biased Cincinnati Enquirer has become. I’m assuming that comes with being run by USA Today, which is biased.
  • Horrible App 1/5

    By Desi_Turk
Buggy interface and authentication process. Stick to the website even for mobile use
  • Support local journalism! 5/5

    By Evanbens
Our country doesn’t function as a free society without good local journalists. Do your part as an American citizen and show your support!
  • Cincinnati.com Review 1/5

    By Mike in Cincy
I really dislike the recent change that the website has made to sell subscriptions. Especially since the website is practically a duplicate of the USA Today website with a few additional local stories. I will probably delete the Cincinnati.com app from my phone and get my local news elsewhere.

  • Love Cincinnati.com 5/5

    By Faez2
I live a few hours away from Cincinnati and I like keeping up with what is going on. The app keeps me informed on the latest news and entertainment. I will continue to use the app for all news, sports, discounts, and entertainment. Thank you for providing this app.
  • Not Paying 1/5

    By HaemmerHead
I’m in agreement with a number of the reviews. While I want to stay on top of the news in Cincinnati, I would like to have some kind of filter for the notifications. Way too many notifications in a given day. The journalism is ok, too liberal slanted for my taste, but I’m able to sift through what I want to read. That said, and all of a sudden lately, they are now forcing me to a paid subscription for their news in the app. I’m not paying and have since deleted the app. I can find my local news without paying. Thanks, but no thanks.
  • Really like this application 5/5

    By GraceSneakers
Great way to stay up on all things Cincinnati. See story headlines on notifications and only pull up the ones I’m interested in.
  • Nick sandman 1/5

    By me90156
I wish his suit would go before a jury, I’d award him double what his asking. Need media doesn’t investigate anything anymore. Just hurry to get their slant on a story.
  • Great options, some don’t work 4/5

    By bigmama781
I love being able to see the daily news and getting notifications for the the categories I am interested in, but I have also been inundated with sports notifications even though that category is turned off. Sorry, I just don’t care about the sports teams enough to want to hear every decision they make.
  • App needs fixed 1/5

    By 101 Sales
This was a great app but in the last few months it has been one of the worst. I have a subscription and it still does not work correctly. I have deleted the app and reinstall and still have a problem. I find the problem is with Cincinnati.com not refreshing on there end like they should. I’m not sure I will renew my subscription again.
  • Great for those interested in local and national news 5/5

    By yesllew
I’ve followed national and global news for years, but after using the app for only a week I realized how much local news I’ve been missing that has an impact on my community. The Cincinnati Enquirer provides a useful mix of local reporting and expertise with national headlines and insights.
  • News without the ads 5/5

    By dan the dairy man
I love being able to read the news and sports without all of the ads that you get in a paper version. One also doesn’t have to tolerate things like “ continued on page 8.”
  • Stopped working 1/5

    By FerretsRule
    This app no longer works.
  • Great depth of content! 5/5

  • Not worth paying for 1/5

    By Mookie619
I’m not paying for news that’s free everywhere else. Deleting this app from my phone today
  • Paywall 1/5

    By G77359
It’s 2019 and news is free unless you have this app.
  • Loosing me 1/5

    By Jayzee54
    Ya lost me....
  • Biased News 2/5

    By Down with greed
I’m not a political person, however it is very obvious what side of the fence the Cincinnati Enquirer sits on. I no longer live in The Cincinnati area and like to use the app to keep updated on my Cincinnati sports teams, but it is very disappointing to see a trusted news source so biased and not just reporting the news. Tell both sides of the stories to become a truly trustworthy source.
  • Terrible 1/5

    By Futrdsc
Terrible app. Crashes frequently, is not viewable offline about 30% of the time, is not user friendly. Junk!
  • Worst app I’ve ever used. 1/5

    By tmichaelp
This is the worst app I have ever used. I am logged in to a paid digital account and it tells me I’ve reached my article limit of the month. This has happened multiple times and the only fix is to re-download the app.
  • Junk pop ups 1/5

By silly games this app plays
    Terrible
  • Deleting App 1/5

    By Tjhcincy
I liked the app until they wanted to start charging. I’m downloading a new local news app
  • Log in 2/5

    By J S H 37
Have to log in like everyday? Is there a way to stay logged in, paid for the service to be more convenient and it doesn’t seem that way.
  • Great way to get local news 5/5

    By Litmus123
Great way to get local news
  • Great news! 5/5

    By Jwolf247
Up to date local and national news, good coverage of KY news.
  • Cincinnati.com 4/5

    By gennettics
Love the app it’s where I go for all my news updates. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that after a certain amount of article reads it says you must subscribe to read more... you have to uninstall and reinstall the app if you don’t wish to subscribe
  • Good stuff 5/5

    By tjinlbc
Best way to stay in touch with the 513
  • Solid app 5/5

    By PatB17
    Intuitive and reliable.
  • Paying for news 1/5

    By Jenn in Ohio
I came to rely on this news source app, and I absolutely will not pay a subscription. There are plenty of other news apps that are free, and I will use those instead. You’re losing readership over this business decision, and if you don’t change it back soon we’ll all have moved on and you won’t get us back at any point in the future. Bad choice.
  • Pay for stories? 1/5

    By sf very disappointed
Do you really think that with all the ways to get news and stories somebody is going to pay to finish reading a story? See High School scores. Very disappointing in fact so much so I am removing the app.
  • Terrible 1/5

    By SJN Theatre Guy
90% of items do not open when tapped or clicked
  • Very poor 1/5

    By Kimlc12
Stories do not open even when deleting the app and reinstalling. Only ads open and picture only stories.
  • can’t read the paper 1/5

    By Dikku1
On my iPhone I would like to read the paper in what is close to its original form. That is impossible with this app. You have to go to a desktop to be able to get a facsimile of the newspaper. That should be changed.
