Love this app! 5/5
Always helpful whenever I go!
Worked perfectly. 5/5
Made first trip to NYC a breeze.
Invaluable for the public transit afficionado 5/5
Got this to navigate MTA, and found that it switches to London mode seamlessly and it totally wipes the floor with the alternatives (they're named something with "tube" and have tube map icons (or something resembling colourful printed circuitboards if that's more helpful).
Citymapper gives you what part of the train to be on, the occasional jet-pack commute time as well as bus suggestions.
Odd that while it'll show the travel time, it doesn't show the ETA, but this is probably a deliberate math-practicing feature.
The latest wastes screen real-estate on a bottom pane flogging their commercial services is unfortunate, but not too surprising for a free/low priced (?) app.
Took me to wrong location! 1/5
I used this app in Chicago to get to Union station, it took me to the wrong location and we missed our train. That mistake cost us $220. I promptly deleted the app and will never use it again.
Ok - seems to lack ability to search for specific bus routes (eg where does bus 30x go ....) 3/5
Tried app - good for bus location tracking (if your city has this) but routes can be overly complicated (eg some suggested routes have 7 bus changes) plus lacks ability to search for specific bus or train routes (eg where does bus 30x go ....)
Boston says “Wicked awesome!” 5/5

Fast updates as the usual transport delays happen. I still love this app.
The only app you need 5/5
Hands down the best app for exploring cities. I use it everyday in nyc and also when traveling
Boarding recommendations are so Helpful. 5/5
I have three apps on my phone as an NYC straphanger. What I like about this CityMapper app is that they make suggestions on what section of the train you should ride in to be closest to your destination when you arrive. Another helpful tip is the street image. This is really helpful when you are traveling to an area that you are unfamiliar with.
This app has literally saved my life in so many ways. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it! Honestly better than any other app out there in terms of transportation
Love this app! 4/5
This app was wonderful on my recent trip to Paris. It quickly and easily found the best route from wherever I was to wherever I wanted to be. It integrated with my Apple Watch as well. It made getting around SO much easier and stress free. Highly recommend this app.
Convenient life saver 5/5

Navigated NY 5/5
The app was like touring New York with a resident who knew the routes.
Best App Ever!!! 5/5
I am SO glad that I downloaded this app after hearing about it from a YouTube travel guru. I standby google maps solidly, but this app is so much easier to use and works underground in the subways! I went from DC to NYC to Boston to Montreal and to Toronto so this app was Extremely helpful!! I wish they had my own city on here haha but honestly download this app! Especially if you’re going to NYC
Crashes my iPhone 1/5
When running program it freezes my iPhone with only this running. Lots of memory on iPhone and no other programs running. I reinstalled app, reset network settings, updated to latest iOS and problem still persists. No email address listed in program to contact anyone about the issue.
Paris/London 2019 5/5
This app was a lifesaver in Paris and London!!! I could not be happier
This app is awesome... made our trip in London a huge success!!!
Only 2 stars 2/5
Not all cities are available which makes it difficult to use. Larger more well know cities are accessible.
Wonderful App 5/5
This is an excellent app. You have directions when walking. The NYC subway map is clear. Direction is given as to which exit will be the best way to get to your destination. Input a merchant and boom accurate route is presented.
Fantastic app - please extend coverage in the US
It’s all good 5/5
By D.J. PAT P__VERT
This app is the best in New York as well as international. It would be great to one day have have a city mapper world view. Hopefully it gets to more cities in mainland China in spite of firewalls. It can use some improvements on ground walking locations. Hopefully they will add a talking AI so u don’t have to be glue to the phone and add argument reality visuals.
Bring Back Transit Types 2/5
This app used to allow you to select your preferred mode of transit but now for Seattle it favors buses. It doesn’t let you only select trains or link if you don’t want to take buses. Bring back this feature!
Great app, poor support 2/5
In many ways this app is infinitely better than apple maps or google maps.
On the other end, I have been reaching out to the support by email already twice about having the sharing of a current itinerary by iMessage not working properly and have received absolutely no answer. I am willing to help you and have spent time describing the bugs I encountered and I am sure I am not the only one to face them. So if you get feedback, please follow up.
Also, fix this annoying bug that prevents sharing the current itinerary via iMessage (blank window appearing instead of the Map +ETA).
Updated to 2 stars as there is still no answer from dev after 2 months and 2 emails.
Inaccessibility with Voice Over 1/5
By Temple Musiq fan 81
The app is inaccessible with voice over on the iPhone. But I can use it on the apple watch. It is not labeled so that I can interact with it on the phone.
I like the concept of your site just wish it had a map for the “Tri-Cities”, (Kennewick, Richland, Pasco) Washington, just moved here. Maybe in the future, just takes time, you’ve got plenty of cities to choose from. Best of luck with your site hope it takes off like crazy.
Way off 1/5
By Mighty iTuner
Just downloaded this app. I live in DC on U St Cardozo GREEN line metro stop. The app tells me that this station is a BLUE line stop. Blue line does exist but is on a completely different route than this app shows. The route shown by this app does not exist for any line in dc. So with this said, delete is the only option.
Not as efficient as Google Maps 3/5
At first I was excited to use this app. Visiting NYC for the first time was a great opportunity to try this out. I thought it would be great to navigate the subway system and occasionally the bus. It had useful features such as which cars to board for the subway and which station exits to use. Unfortunately, none of these features save you any time or walking. It displays too many route options, and they’re only sorted by how much time they take. The best routes with the least walking aren’t even shown. And if you follow the recommendations for which section to board or which station exit to use, you’ll end up walking even more. If I plug the same destination into Google Maps, it recommends the best route or quickest route, and it uses connections to save steps walking. The only time it came out ahead of google was find a route to JFK. Otherwise, not worth the download.
I’m sure it’s nice, but... 2/5
I’m sure it’s a great app, but it’s missing some pretty notable cities. And when I click to vote for a city it doesn’t go anywhere. Maybe if I go to one of the 39 available cities listed I’ll re-download if I remember.
By Santino Jay
There are times I’m coming from work and really tired, fall asleep and miss my stop🤦🏾♂️.
But using this app helps me wake at least 2 minutes before my stop or even let me know when to come off at a stop if I’m somewhere unfamiliar.😌🤘🏾👏🏾. Very reliable app 💯
Best App Ever 5/5
This App has helped me save so much time travelling around in New York City. Now I can’t imagine life without it :)
Better than google maps for big cities 5/5
Don’t usually review apps but this is really a great app for figuring out quickest route in a big city like New York. From Where is the closest citibike to whether to get on the back or the front of the train.
Can’t commute in NYC without it 5/5
It’s not just that the app works great and looks nice, the alternative is.. what? go on a janky city-run website? Thank you city mapper!
I have to rave about Citymapper 5/5
This app is absolutely fantastic. I live in NYC and use is almost daily to navigate all the various transit closures and problems. Now I am traveling and find it works just as well in an ever expanding number of cities, for example, London and Rome, two other difficult to navigate cities. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Citymapper has taken me places and helped me to have experiences that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I’m a lover of public transit and this app is like a support system for helping to reduce driving. Basically the best app I have ever used.
Citymapper is a godsend! 5/5
Citymapper is by far superior to Google Maps and Waze! This app for transit is literally perfect and I’m completely reliant on it. It tells you what exit to take out of any transit station to get you closest to your destination and which car of a train will be the least crowded. In love with this app!
Infograph support already! 1/5
I love citymapper but the fact that they cant update the app to work with the Apple Watch Infograph watch face is appalling. I have sent emails requesting the feature, asking when it may be added and never received a response. Given how popular this app is, I can’t imagine why they don’t have this feature already developed. They support the Apple Watch, update the app and you get 5 stars all day.
This application really helpful. 5/5
By Field's iPhone
You should use this app it really helpful for to know how the best way to go anywhere you want ❤️
Useful and largely accurate for SF and Seattle 4/5
This has been a useful app for transporting myself around San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle area; I haven’t tried it at other major metropolises.
I find the use of minutes left before the next train to not be useful when it comes to connecting transportations.
For example, minutes left in the current train/bus is useful, but when I swipe left to see next transfer, it’ll tell me I have one minute to the connecting train when I still have 20 minutes to ride, which doesn’t help me because I would rather know what time I can expect to arrive and what time is the train i should expect to get on.
Just downloaded this app and it's far more informative, intuitive and elaborate than the official app for LA MTA
Solid must have app 5/5
I installed it a day ago and already lovin’ it. Such a wonderful user friendly interface design ago aggregate all the required data under required umbrella.
It Works 3/5
It works better than any of the other options available here in Seattle, but it has one of the most annoying user interfaces. It uses the real time data made available by King County Metro, which is useful. I really wish I could disable or at least hide the parts of the app that aren't useful to me and clutter up the available screen: rideshares, GO stats, top nav bar, commute. I would also appreciate better shortcuts integration, specifically, I don't want to have to launch a trip to check when the next bus home/work is approaching. Despite all these frustrations, the app still works the best out of what's available.
Citymapper just saved the day for me 5/5
When in a new city I often just use a ridesharing app rather than trying to figure out public transit. Today they were on strike and I was able to navigate a complicated three city metro area with no stress. Thank you!! Next time I’ll just use you first and save money.
Super super app 5/5
Love it nice new update with compass widget
London travel, sorted. 5/5
My last trip to London was made so much more productive and enjoyable using this app opposed to all others available. Bus, Tube, and train times were instantly updated and the app follows the journey whilst on it. The ride share for £5 was a nice addition allowing the opportunity to get across the city in comfort for such a small fare (didn’t have to share the ride once, but paid as if I had). The option for regular commuters to buy passes seems a great perk for those living in the city. Definitely will continue to use whenever I am in any city that has Citymapper.
Best app ever for getting around!! 5/5
Best transportation service 5/5
I love that this includes other cities as well.
Good app but limited locations. 4/5
Limited locations. Accurate information. Fairly straightforward and intuitive interface.
Could improve 4/5
While this app is fantastic for all modes of transit, the walking portion needs improvement. The street names need to be clarified and it needs to break down the directions. I really struggled with this part of the app, otherwise well done a must for visiting London
I LOVE THIS APP!! 5/5
The ‘Citymapper’ app has helped me navigate NYC (within & between boroughs) for a few years now, and it’s ALWAYS right ‘on point’. I’ve followed its directions, including entering the designated section of the train that will put me at the closest subway station exit (for transfers to another train or to get to my destination) when I get to my stop. Also, if train traffic increases, signal issues occur, etc., Citymapper recalibrates Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to each train/bus in my commute &/or to my final destination, SO I almost always know when I’m going to arrive.
Bottom line for me is that this app ‘doesn’t disappoint’, and it’s very user-friendly.
When taking public transportation, ‘Citymapper’ is the navigation app for me 😀.
Watch app is not great 3/5
Tried it out so I could look at nearby buses/trains on my watch.
The "nearby buses" view on the watch shows multiple bus stops for the same route. It should only show the closest stop. Also, from my house, my 2nd closest bus stop only has information displayed in one direction because it's right outside the range for which stops are displayed on the watch.
Overall this makes the watch view pretty useless (and the phone view strictly worse than Transit).
(The watch interface also had a decent amount of UI stutter; not enough to be a problem, but it was surprising and bugged me a little.)
I used this app in London and Barcelona, never been to either city before and I was able to move around the city like a local
