I went to a business. It wasn’t even there. I called the number the woman answered, said that people keep calling from ClassPass and this is not a business. Class pass took my credits and I still have yet to receive them back. I don’t know what kind of checking they do into the businesses they utilize on the site, but so far I am very disappointed.

I’ve been using ClassPass FOREVER (like, since it launched!) but I find myself getting more annoyed with the platform. Firstly, the search function is terrible - it overlooks certain keywords if they’re part of the business name. If I’m looking up a Pilates studio with “body” in the name, it gives me body sculpting or bodywork options instead. Secondly, there’s no way to report incorrect listings. And most annoying is when you book an beauty or massage appointment and the provider cancels at the last minute - like within an hour or two of the appointment. If we are charged for late cancelling after the 12-hour window, we should also be compensated if a provider cancels on us within the same timeframe. Maybe some extra credits added to our account for having to now rearrange our schedule or find a new appointment to take care of the service we thought was confirmed. Honestly, you’re getting money from both sides, ClassPass — focus on keeping both parties satisfied please!

Amazing but a Couple Annoying Issues 2/5

I absolutely love the concept of this app. I’ve discovered classes I never would have on my own and it’s opened me up to being more active. The only issue I have is with the free trial. I’m on the free trial right now, and I found a class that I absolutely am obsessed with. But I can’t take it more than once on the free trial. I have only a few days left with 43 credits that I only want to use on this class while I can, and it won’t allow me to use my credits on the same class because “I have to upgrade to a full membership”. On top of that, my free trial credits don’t even roll over once I start paying for my membership which seems silly. Why should I lose all those credits once I start paying for the membership? Especially since ClassPass won’t even let me take the class I genuinely like more than once? Isn’t that the point? I would give this app 5 stars if it wasn’t for those hiccups. ClassPass, you should probably change that because that’s the one thing that makes me not want to become a member. Sounds like a money grab to me. Very annoyed by this.

Class pass has to be my favorite app. I no longer live in a major city and my options are limited but when I travel for work, even internationally it is a great way to see and experience the city. I love that it offers workouts and health and beauty options. You can’t go wrong with this app.

I have been recommending class pass to everyone! I’m not the type of person who likes to just go to one gym, it gets boring to me. This is why I love class pass and I have even used it to get my eyebrows done which is a definite perk! I have been able to definitely get my moneys worth and Im definitely saving money too because I’m actually going to the gym now! Love it. Highly recommend

I love ClassPass! I’m more motivated to work out consistently and harder when I go to a class with other people. ClassPass gives you flexibility to find a class that works with your schedule, since there are so many studios that participate, and also has a variety of classes to keep it interesting. It’s overall cheaper than paying for drop in classes too. I highly recommend it.

It’s a great concept, but it does not show you how many spots are actually available at a class since it saves a certain number for members of the actual studio. For instance if there are actually 14 seats in a Solidcore class ClassPass will tell you there are 10, so classes full up very quick and it is extremely hard to get the class you want since class passers get last pick. It is super frustrating and you really have to work around them, it is very difficult to build it into my schedule when the only classes available are during work hours or at 10 pm

In general a good app but sorry very stupid that you can’t book classes ahead , most studios have some date there from when you can book it and it won’t send you notification when the date comes so you can book it on time. Otherwise you have to look manually for each class. Also…. So many classes just are take out so quickly, i barely get into the ones I like…

Worst experience ever.
The businesses were great but the app doesn’t tell you, you only get a one time shot at going to a business. Also, you can’t use your credits for the wellness (massage, nail, hair etc) businesses, only the ‘gym’ classes.
You get 30 credits and basically have to go to 30 different gyms. And in my area there were only 2 and 20+mins away for the others.
If a business doesn’t check you in , you’re automatically dinged of $12 for ‘not showing’. So you gotta check your account every time you attend.

I tell everyone about this genius program!
I get to try out all the studios instead of being stuck with one gym membership. I am doing cycling, rowing, hot Pilates, hot yoga, boxing, etc. all in one months time. And if you have enough credits, you can keep going back to the same studios. Did I mention the FREE trial for ONE MONTH?! It’s a no-brainer! Thank you for an amazing solution to trying out all the studios I have been thinking about!!

They use a trial offer to get you signed up, which consists of “75 free credits!” (Which is about £97.50 worth of classes), but you have to use them in the first 2 weeks or you lose them. That’s like 8-12 classes. Then when you start paying (£65/month) all of the credits are gone and you just get the initial ones.
Pretty terrible bait and switch tactic and I wouldn’t use this again.

I’ve used ClassPass regularly for months but always used the web. When I downloaded the app, it kept prompting to review every class I’ve ever signed up for. You have to provide a way to skip, this is basic app UX. I literally can’t use the app without rating 50+ classes.

So I was working two jobs and wasn’t able to use any of the points due to time constraints. I completely forgot about ClassPass after I stopped working 60-80 hour work weeks. I had at least 100 in credits and wanted them to stop charging so I could use the remaining credits. As typical with scamming subscriptions, if I was to cancel my membership then my points was to be removed as well. An app that works great don’t get me wrong for stuff like this specifically, but an app that will take advantage of its customers none the less. Which is why it deserves a 1 star.

I signed up for the free trial to see if I liked it and the trial was totally useless. None of the classes allowed me to sign up unless I upgraded to a full membership. What is the point of a trial if I’m not able to try anything. If that’s their marketing ploy I would say that was a big miss. You’re better of going to individual gyms and getting a first class free than using ClassPass. Too bad because the concept is great.

The user interface is terrible, the searching function doesn’t work, and there’s endless ick throughs to complete an action. In the past five years they’ve made next to no enhancements to the product and yet the price has doubled. From a product POV, the functionality is incredibly poor and disappointing.

The site is always down. I cannot book at the only two studios I like. Apparently, during your first month you cannot book at certain studios until your membership becomes active. I thought the point was to try new studios.
Also, I have been a classpass member for years, but since I took a break from CP, I am considered new and do not have access to the studios I go to.
All of CP is an absolute mess. Not what it use to be.

UPDATE: Developer’s response implies I don’t understand how the app works. That’s not the problem. The problem is that their free trial is better than the paid service. The classes advertised in the trial are not actually offered once you sign up.
I signed up for the app because a local yoga studio was offering classes when I was on my trial period. However, as soon as I became a paying customer, all of those spots available at that location became unavailable. Places use this as a way to advertise, but you can’t enroll in the classes when you’re a paying customer. I tried to sign up within minutes of the spots becoming available, but everything showed up as full. False advertising. SCAM.

Love Classpass, I never enjoyed exercise before it honestly.
But it would be so helpful if push notifications I’ve turned on for classes I’m trying to get into would actually take me to the class that has an open spot! It just opens the app and I’m left wondering what class actually has a spot open - and by the time I figure it out the class is full again! A lot of the studios I go to only have 5-6 spots per class which makes popular times really difficult to get into!
I’d also love a category that groups Beginner, Intermediate, Open Level, Advanced, etc classes so it’s easier to see available classes rather than tapping into each studio.

This might be the best app on my phone and I was a fan pre-pandemic. Now I have rejoined and love it even more. I’m a SAHM with a small window every morning to workout while my son is in school. This app has allowed me to sign up for a class during that window, cancel if my plans changed, and overall just been an easy app to navigate. When my first class ended up being scheduled incorrectly by the gym itself, customer service was quick and incredibly generous. I have been able to find gyms that have childcare so I can workout, something I would’ve never known if I didn’t have class pass. I have also been desperate to make mom friends, something I also now have a great chance to do with class pass. When I look at the prices of booking a class without class pass, the prices are higher. For instance, one very popular Pilates gym is incredibly expensive and memberships are more expensive than if you took the classes through class pass. Class pass, I love you. Thank you for giving this SAHM a chance to explore different gyms (something I have found daunting without your app), schedule classes and decide if I like them before getting roped into a membership, changing up my day to day by having different options (and in different cities so you can take a class while traveling), and allowing me to have gym time at gyms instead of buying memberships via the open gym option. Buy this app!!
