Won’t do Modifiers 2/5

The app I think is good but it doesn’t see modifiers within items. So for instance if you have a Sandwich with a bunch of sides that can be available to select from that include additional costs you can’t do it. Another example would be we have soda as an item at a $0.00 cost with a required modifier that has sizes that adds the costs. If you select soda within the app, the cost is $0.00 and you can’t select the modifier.
This is also the case for returns, if you return items with modifiers, it doesn’t see those additional charges and doesn’t return the full amount.
Fix this stuff and I think it would be more useful.

Customer service is frustrating , had to go to the Apple store to fix the Clover app issue , fixed in 20 minutes there compared to 10 phone calls over 5 days to Clover 😡

This company is garbage they have a support team that can’t do anything for you they have no answers to any of my questions they always transfer me over to another ‘specialist’ but when they transfer me over they put me on hold for 20 minutes every time (7 calls) and after you wait they hang up on you. Don’t trust your social security number to these people
I appreciate the simple nature of this app. It’s easy to use.
However, I took away a star because I’m having trouble adding tax to certain items, while not adding it to others; I have a consignment business, which means only jewelry and formalwear are taxable in PA. I’ve read the Help tutorials and Q&A’s, but they don’t solve my issue.

Prior I was using Wells Fargo merchant processing app and had no issues. Since having to convert to clover go I have had nothing but issues since using this app. Sometimes it will read the credit card no problem, and other times it will not connect to the reader and will not process the credit card.

I just spent (wasted) 20 minutes of my time, trying to figure out how to sign up to use this app. I searched all over the app, read all the articles on “Getting Started” that are provided on the app, etc., but still was unable to sign up. Eventually, I had to give up. 😕

I find that Clover is not as user friendly as square. And when I try using it on my iPad, you have to log into the app every time with typing the password even though it has the finger print ID. I do like that the rates are lower when you have a business acct with certain banks and their other devices are great too.

We’ve been using Clover Go since we first opened in March,2017. We are are a small kiosk in the mall so the chip/card reader is adequate for us. I’m pretty happy overall and note the improvements made since then. I do have the same issue with using iPhone 7.

No option to print receipt 1/5
This app lacks a lot of functionality comparing to square. The deal breaker for me was the lack of option to print a receipt to a network receipt printer. It only allow u to get signature on the device and doesn’t print to a receipt printer on network unless the printer is compatible with AirPrint. Even then you can’t ask for signature on receipt.

The clover app on my phone is extremely easy to use, very customer friendly, and funds are disbursed into my account within 36 hours. Their customer support is fantastic and very easy to deal with I have not had to do any, troubleshooting with this product, like I’ve had to do with other products that I’ve used. Very consumer friendly and very secured you don’t have to worry about unsecured lines or fraud with your, customers I would recommend clover to any type of business very satisfied. Sometimes the connection is terrible and will lag in the middle of a sale, or just pause for 10+ minutes. I enjoy using this app, but would wish that it was a little smoother in operations.
Clover go has occasional crashes at the end of transactions on iPhone 6S with iOS 11.2.5 which is exceptionally frustrating when your customer is in need of an expedient transaction.

UPDATE: I was contacted almost immediately by a very nice woman who I believe helped engineer the app. She helped me find the tip section on the dashboard and after reinstalling the app, it fixed the signing in every time issue. The tip section is still kind of awkward. I don't like that there's an automatic 10-15-20% option because it is most times less than what they usually give. I don't want to correct them to use the "custom tip" underneath because that seems ungrateful. I don't know how it should look but I feel like it could be executed better and more streamlined. Maybe just a custom section with only numbers so they just add what they always do? Overall it works well for my small business.
The biggest issue I have is having to ask a client for a tip because there isn't (that I can figure out yet) a separate tip action. It's so awkward to ask that, so I lose out on that extra income. Secondly, I just updated and now I have to sign in as a new user EVERY time. It takes so long and is wasting precious time I don't have between clients. This app is basic at best. Will certainly look into the square. I guess you get what you pay for.

I’ve been using this app for well over a year. With my new phone though, the app won’t save my user info and makes me login with my full email and password every time instead of my four digit pin. If the app glitches and does this to all my techs in the field I will have to look for a different processing system.

I use the Clover Go app for my business, and the app runs fairly smooth. My only issue is ever since I updated the app, it has me re-login every time. Before it would recognize my phone and ask for my 4 digit passcode that I created with the app, so I didn’t have to re-login every time. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Update: after reading other reviews, I deleted the app and reinstalled and now it works again. Only need to put in my 4 digit code to access app.
The old app worked fine and allowed login w 4 digit pin making it convenient to use. Now I need to type my full email address, copy and paste my pwd from 1Password and then a 4 digit pin and then go thru the whole set up process for each transaction.
Super annoying. Please fix. I’m running iPhone X iOS 11.2.1.

Worked yesterday for me on the second try. The first attempt the app kept closing while the transaction was processing. Today the app shut down and kept closing during the processing screen and I could not process today😭😭😭😭

After I swipe a customers card, the app crashes. Does not allow me to get the customers signature. That’s pretty important.
The issue has been addressed with the app. Have not had any problems since. Works great!

Whenever I try to run a customers transaction on my iPhone 7plus, Clover opens up my personal Apple Pay on the phone. Please fix this ASAP!
iPhone X unuseable 1/5
I recently upgraded to an IPhone X and now I can’t make any charge card transactions.
The charge looks like it will process then goes to a half screen when you expect the signature screen and then quits. You then have to log in again and the whole process repeats...Totally Unuseable.

Ugh. I have 2clients now that I’ve had trouble accepting their cards ever since I did the last update and the update to fix the update didn’t fix the problem. And No...it’s not because of lack of funds. Very frustrating!!!!

Your app requires me to ask clients if they want to add a tip before swiping their card. Terribly awkward so I don't ask at all.
1) Please create an ADD TIP line on signature screen.
2) If I'm losing money then so are you.
3) if not resolved by November when my contract is up I will not be renewing.

I'd love to see Touch ID support and multitasking on iPad Pro. I use this app for events and it would be great to have my registration and payment apps both open side by side. Over all, easy enough to use and gets the job done. Back end system is easy to navigate.
This app is very un-user-friendly! 2/5
Compared to the app my bank used to use this one is very difficult to use and we are considering looking into something else. The app can only be used in portrait orientation, which is the opposite of how we have our iPad on the desk. If you want to make any changes to the inventory items you have to go to the web site, you can't make any changes directly from the app! And the most frustrating is the frequency which you have to change your password to something complex that you've never used before. Taking credit cards was never something we really wanted to do at our business anyway and this app certainly makes it more of a hassle.

The iOS version of this app is garbage - plain and simple. I intended to use this to run my small pastry business because I got good rates through Bank of America.
When I got my contactless chip reader and downloaded the app, I was shocked. The app is vastly different than what I was shown in demos. Creating a sale is selecting items from a text based list. After adding items I was unable to change Price or taxes.
The receipts that are generated are not professional looking receipts at all. Regardless of how you configure your Clover dashboard, all you get is a logo and a tag line at the bottom. No barcodes, no grouping of modifiers. And you get a 96 point banner saying "CLOVERGO".
The app doesnt even rotate to landscape mode. This app is honestly something a D-grade high school student would do for a semester project.
Unless you are desperate for lower processing rates, skip CloverGo.

New Bluetooth reader is great! 5/5
I just wrote a bad review last week about the old reader which was not working well for me. However I am very happy with the new Bluetooth reader. It works great and I can process transactions very quickly without anything going wrong. Thanks for make a quality card reader.
