Worst subscribe function ever 1/5
Like the title says. I can’t even tell you how many different ways I have tried to subscribe. How many different accounts I have made. How many useless “chat helpers” I have chatted with. This has gone on for 2 years now. I love my local news. Hate my local newspaper digital app.
“You have no more free stories!” “Please subscribe!”
Very good 4/5
Nice presentation of the local news. Very mobile friendly.
Great app 5/5
By Seal eyes
Enjoying this apps feature with breaking news etc.
It’s great 5/5
Love the local news. Clear platform. All is well.
Great ‘local’ news and event coverage! 5/5
Truly enjoy reading about local news and events.
Tired of wasting money 1/5
Love to read the local paper, but they don’t keep article up to date. Went to find info on state lock down for covid-19, nothing not a flipping word. I’ve put up with article being old, but this is ridiculous.
They cover news almost exclusively in Fort Collins. If you live anywhere else in Colorado, don’t bother.
Coloradoan app 1/5
Online print version has been freezing up immediately upon tapping on an article. This has been going on for a couple of weeks at least. Getting ready to just cancel Coloradoan subscription as I do not like the digital version.
Website needs a place where people can notify The Coloradoan that their home delivery of the paper paper didn’t happen.
Awful app 1/5
I pay for a subscription to the Coloradoan and I still have to watch ads and can’t get to the news story very easily without excessive pop ups.
They will never let you cancel 1/5
Impossible to cancel , contact or get a response from
Poorly Designed 3/5
By Another Reader 1972
Why is “news” that is a week old on the front page. It’s “olds” not “news”.
Tough to navigate and find “favorites “.
Good for the social scene 4/5
When I visit I read the paper to check on new places to eat and drink.
If you live in Fort Collins it’s worth subscribing to. 5/5
By Fab Guy
Good local coverage. I especially enjoyed a recent article on the Poudre River trail. The subscription is very reasonable, especially with the current specials.
Comprehensive and Informative 4/5
The Coloradoan has kept me informed of my community and the surrounding areas.
Worthless App & “Newspaper” 1/5
Read only 3 articles & then you must buy a paid subscription??? Really??? News presented is really starting to look fake as well. Efforts to normalize lgbtq lifestyles are obvious. Not for me or my family.
Great local news 5/5
Great source for local news coverage.
Horrible Digital Access and Customer Service 1/5
As a paid subscriber to “full digital access” I can’t find anything. The articles you can get aren’t current, and they select what you see. Sports is spotty, obituaries show 1-2 lines with no pictures or information. The description said I would have the full e-view of the paper, which I don’t get. I’ve contacted the Coloradoan 3 times in a 12 day period with no response other than the automated “we’ve received your request” reply, saying they would follow up in the next business day. Ha! I believe in supporting newspapers, but I’m not going to pay for something I do t get. Digital needs a lot of work.
Awful, glitchy app 1/5
I’m so frustrated with this app. I can’t read my local news because it won’t load half the time and the rest of the time the content is weeks old and won’t refresh.
I deleted and re-installed the app and now there’s new, fresh issues preventing me from reading the news.
Getting worse 1/5
By Joey 5cents
This app is getting worse with each version. Now you have to pay to read any story, there are still too many too-large ads, and it’s still full of poorly written left-leaning liberal bias. Sad.
Librial bias crap 1/5
Biased crap and then want to charge as if ‘exceptional’ reporting, while just echoing the liberal agenda of mass media, but at the local level. Sad.

Best place for local news!
Support your local newspaper! 5/5
Coloradoan delivers in print and digital with constant news updates, video, pictures and even some interesting personal interest stories and features. It may not be the best but it's the best we've got and I'm thankful for it!
So far so Good 4/5
Good local news. Would love to have a search bar on the app. Please post and be up to the moment with stories that are happening i.e. Car crashes that are impacting traffic flow and more positive happy local stories of people /kids doing awesome things and Weather.
Good way to 'pulse' local news 4/5
I run thru the headlines each day to remain 'plugged-in' to local info.
Simple good local news app 4/5
Nothing special, just a solid local news app. Love it
An Outstanding Local 5/5
Built around sections...first being local and regional then a healthy dose of national with their link to USA Today. Try Kevin Dugan out...a seasoned reporter covering detailed workings of the city and sometimes lighter fare.
I'm impressed with their invites to come sit with them and kick things around where they ask, "how can we improve?"
Perfect for anyone interested in CSU athletics news.
Good local coverage, but no politics.... 4/5
The Coloradoan is great for local news. It doesn't provide coverage of state or federal politics, so one has to go elsewhere for that info, but the app works well and is easy to use.
Easy and informative 4/5
This app is simple and easy! All the local news in one place! Thanks
The only source of local news 4/5
The Coloradoan is the only reliable news source for NoCo locals. I have very impressed with their coverage of breaking local news in the last year and have replaced Denver 9 with the Coloradoan as my primary source.
Good app to catch big stories but could use more content. 4/5
I like this paper because it gives some good local stories. Unfortunately, the number of stories is a bit light for a town the size of Fort Collins.
Simple and User Friendly 5/5
This is a news app and nothing more - the way it ought to be.
Prominent ads, despite paid-up digital subscription 3/5
I love the Coloradoan; it is the only reliable source for local news and the reporters do good work.
My three complaints are:
1. Tons of ads, including blatant examples of "click bait" and "fake news" links. (I.e., "Try this one weird trick..."). This, despite the annual digital subscription price. I'm happy to pay for the good work that the Coloradoan does, but let's omit the ads. Stop double-dipping with the online content. Unlike the print version, I am NOT paying you to show me online ads. Just news. Why not offer a separate, extra-premium "ad free" version? What's the risk? Charge me whatever you think it's worth.
2. No search. The website version of the paper offers a very useful text search feature, but not the app. Would love to see this.
3. Typos, typos, typos. Does anyone proofread or copy-edit the digital content? It is a rare article I read that doesn't have at least a handful of egregious errors, usually in basic sentence structure. Surely you could hire a couple of CSU English majors as low-paid interns to help clean this up?
Nice way to enjoy the local news 4/5
By Back in colo
I've been using the app for 4 months. It works well and seems like a great way to get the local news.
Out of date news 1/5
The iPad version of this app is useless unless you are interested in "news" that is days, weeks or in some cases months old. Updating does nothing to fix this. While there might be one or two up-to-date articles, it by no means mirrors the local news that appears in the paper copy. Useless!
By Fort C
IPad version of the App is useless - most stories, including those about the weather are 76 days old - and will not refresh. Have tried deleting and reinstalling the App to no avail. Have been forced to use Safari and the normal website. Have sent feedback several times - but never received response. iPhone version seems ok.
App is unstable 2/5
By Wylie Coy Ote
While content is good, this app is a horrible platform and no one from the paper seems to know or care that there are stories hung at the top of the page that are 40 days old. I pay a digital subscription fee and they can't keep it current? It's almost impossible to find anyone at the paper who will talk about the problem. The Coloradoan does not seem to care about digital subscribers, only those who have a paper delivered.
Bug leaves old articles on Top Stories page 3/5
Articles more than 3 weeks old continue to appear on the opening Top Stories page.
Good app 4/5
Enjoy reading my local news. The app does the trick!
Good app 5/5
Works as you expect it to
Too many pop-up apps. These interrupt reading and searching. I already pay for the service; why so many ads? I use other news sites, and do not experience these obstacles.
Bad App and sources 1/5
Not worth your time.
Great for local news 5/5
I get my local news from this sight. Generally speaking the journalists anticipate my questions and I feel well informed about my community.
Enjoy the local news!
I do enjoy reading my iPhone and iPad Coloradoan. I also enjoy the paper copy. I usually read it later in the day!
The app blows. You can't see comments and it has very limited articles compared to the print verdion
Complete rip off 1/5
By Rep. Mike
I've paid my subscription and am logged in, but subscriber content is still restricted. I've tried to contact the app manager through 'feedback' several times with no response.
Buyer beware on this one.
Reliable app, good writing 5/5
Good local content
Nice app 4/5
By Skis with dogs
Could use a few tweaks, especially in search functions, but still a good app for local news
