A Few Things of Note 4/5
Overall this service works very well. Very strong communication tool for both teams big and small. A few things I would like to see implemented are as such:
*I wish the boss/manager could edit position titles without paying for Crew. I feel that should be a given as positions change and some employees overlook or just don’t care to cooperate on such small matters.
*It would be super helpful if we could color code specific schedule shifts, whether it’s categorized as OPENER/CLOSER or for different department shifts like FRONT DESK/HOUSEKEEPING/MAINTENANCE etc.
Like I said, overall very good, but a few things I feel that would take it over the top.

Why can’t I purchase gold stars anymore?!!!! That was one of the best features for crew morale.

The Mac app has always crashed a lot on my MacBook Air. I used to use the iPhone app as a workaround whenever the Mac crashing got particularly bad. But now the iPhone app is crashing like a drunk driver in a demolition derby.

Normally I love this app and rely on it for a lot of things with my job but ever since the update last week it instantly crashes when I open it, I’m really hoping it gets fixed soon

I’ve been trying to log back in after deleting the app, but when I put my number in to get the pin (I tried this on the app and the website) it won’t send me the pin even when it says it will. I’ve been trying for an hour.
It won’t even let me on the app . It’ll crash as soon as I try to open it
This amazing app lets you prioritize shifts and schedule accordingly along with keeping strong communication on a daily with staff and management to keep business running as should be.

This app needs a search feature ASAP. Think about the target audience. Large groups of people. Lots of messages. Going back to find something without a search feature is pretty much pointless.

Mute notification 4/5
I like that I can stay up to date with the things happening at my place of work via the crew app. It’s awesome to be able to communicate so efficiently. I would like to see in the future a notification that goes out saying “so and so has muted the chat” every time someone mutes it, so people can take a hint that other employees don’t like to be messaged at 0300 in the morning. That would be SO GREAT XOXO

My employer uploads the schedules through this app. Over the last few weeks this hasn’t been working and me and the other employees have tried to open the schedule and all that shows up is a black screens
I couldn’t see my schedule. Everything is black on my screen. Please fix it. Thank you.

It’s got one huge issue IMO.
I can not stop notifications for some stuff like “shift coverage request”
When the person doing the schedule sends out the request for a large amount of shifts my phone/ watch go off for every one... it’s very aggravating. But you can’t turn off all notifications or you won’t get messages or the group chat info.

My biggest problem with this is the push notifications are either super delayed or not at all. I’ve missed so many messages as have had my staff. I have tried to make sure it wasn’t my phone but it definitely is not. Otherwise, the scheduling part is awful. We’re resorted to just posting a photo schedule but it makes requesting coverage TERRIBLE. there is so much potential here and so great for a free app. Let’s just fix these things please!

These two items are definitely not a priority for Crew and are not taken seriously. I have been using crew for almost two years now. Once my pro expires I will not be using it any longer.

Extremely annoying how every time I log in it always shows me how to write a message or react to a message and everything else of the sorts. Fix this please.

Every time I go to open the app, it won’t load anything up and shuts down on its own.
Please fix the constant tutorials and tips that keep popping up. There must be a bug in the recent update. I use this with my coworkers, a team of medical providers. It’s extremely distracting to follow the conversation with the screen going black and some random tip popping up, like how to add a photo. I’ve been using the app for a year. I get how to use it.

This is the worst messaging app I have ever used for work. Whatsapp, Telegram, Signal, and iMessage and SMS are much better. It works slowly, intended receivers usually receive messages, it doesn’t allow copy and paste, and it constantly insists on giving a tutorial on its operation. Leaving a group is very cumbersome, and chats can’t be deleted. I can’t wait until my work drops this app.

This app is INCREDIBLE! Communication for our team is essential and we are constantly looking for the best form of communication for our non-profit. Our team LOVES CREW.
Some of the tools that they have in the Pro edition could really help us to manage our entirely volunteer-based team. Unfortunately they don’t have any solutions for this. I hope they can find a solution, even as simple as a verification process to prove you are who you say you are and that your company is a legitimate non-profit to help bring more competitive pricing.
Maybe then I could truly vouch for this app.
Keeps bring up tutorials 4/5
I’ve had this app for over a year now but recently every time I open the app it goes through what all the buttons are. If that could stop that would be awesome because I really enjoy the app otherwise.
This might be the worst communication app 1/5
First of all it takes forever to load.(not just my self) I have had it for a year gives me a tutorial every time I open the app, not just a hey do you want to take a tutorial, no a unavoidable tutorial. Keep in mind every one can chat and crew doesn’t teach you about direct messaging. So, important messages get buried in people reply “ok” or “got it” to 50 people. It’s just not good for groups more then ten people. Maybe not even that.

Every since the latest update, my app has been in a teach-mode. It tries to show me shortcuts for certain functions...very frustrating.. all I want to do is create my schedule and get work done.

it’s fine, but the newest update is so annoying. no matter how much you use the app it’s still CONSTANTLY interrupting and telling you how to use the app but it only the same 2 or 3 prompts. it’s super annoying.

I very rarely rate apps, but this is one I can’t live without. We’re a small repair shop and this is by far the easiest and most reliable way to communicate with coworkers. It’s super simple to add new people and the groups make it easy to communicate with the right employees

I only have 1 problem which didn’t happen when I was on Android. The app constantly shows me the on screen hints on how to use the app which I’ve been using for almost a year now. I’ve checked the settings and haven’t seen anything related to it
