Good, but not worth the $39.99 annual subscription 2/5
By 1 Desert Rogue
Disappointed to find an annual subscription to this app. I am evaluating several apps to assist my students in their studies - and they are on limited budgets. While this seems to be a terrific app, I can’t justify the annual expense. They can go to B&N, or better yet just shop Amazon for a printed drug guide, then receive free drug updates via weekly e-mail updates - or google for the latest information.
Worth the money 5/5
I purchased this app for $40 and now when my operating system with apple just updated, the app quit working. The developers told me that they are not going to be updating the app and the only solution is for me to purchase the app again. No thank you. So unless you want to keep buying this whenever your OS updates, don’t get it.
Customer service gave me a very easy fix. I am so happy because I really love this app. I’m a nurse and use it frequently. Highly recommend.
Easy to use 5/5
Quick on the floor
Use categories or just look up
It’s good and current
Heavy very expensive subscription 1/5
This is the most expensive education app on earth. It is unbelievable that the developers made this app to charge students that have no job heavily for yearly subscription. This is unbelievable and I don’t recommend to students.
Great app 5/5
I had the old version of the drug guide which didn’t work with the new iOS. I received instructions from this company on how to download the latest version that would immediately, and they resolved the issue in less than 24 hours.
This is a great app. I’m a nurse and I love to be able to check unfamiliar meds and potential side effects quickly. This is my go-to app at work and very user friendly. Highly recommend it!
Older versions of Davis Drug Guide can be made iOS 11 compatible 5/5
Unbound customer service showed me how to re-download my original 2015 Davis Drug Guide so that I could use it with iOS 11. I was not able to use it after upgrading to iOS 11.
“You can re-download the 2015 app by opening the App Store, selecting “Updates,” clicking on the circle in the top-right corner, and then selecting “Purchased.” From this list, you can re-download “Davis’s Drug Guide 2015.” As long as you are logged in with the same Apple ID, iTunes will not charge you twice for applications that have already been purchased.”
I first deleted the original Davis Drug Guide app, the re-downloaded the app again using the steps outlined above.
Hopefully this will help someone out there having same issue...
Happy now! 4/5

Over the weekend I had severe problems activating my subscription. The support staff responded today and it seems all problems are cleared up. Good app!
Use it every shift!
Just like the books, with some perks! 5/5

Couldn't be happier. I came up in my nursing career using a Davis Drug Guide, and bought a new one every time another edition was printed. With the rapidly changing landscape of biologic drugs for RA and other immune mediated diseases, there's no other way to stay current without having updates automatically sent to the one piece of equipment you never leave home without. Highly recommend this app, and don't stop with the preview meds, go for the complete manual.
Fast and quick 4/5
Good app, just need some over the counter meds
Great app 5/5
Would like to categorize the "favorites".
No option to restore contents purchased without purchasing update 1/5
I originally purchased this app in 2008. I've periodically updated but I chose not to get updates annually due to cost. I was able to continue to use the content I purchased until my device (iPhone 6) recently crashed, which required going back to default settings. As a result, I lost all the content in this App. When I chose the 'restore' option in the App, it said "unable to restore, not an in app purchase"
The only other option In the app was to renew to updated version. I called customer service for help but unfortunately, I was told, there was no way to restore the content I purchased without updating to current version. The app says purchased content is accessible even when you don't update. Extremely disappointing, obviously a misleading statement by the developer. A $39.99 annual update is quite exorbitant, it's like buying your book over and over again every year, The Updates cost as much as the original purchase! Why can't updates/ subscription be cheaper?
Great app 5/5
I have used this app for years as a nurse and it has been a wonderful resource during my NP clinical rotations. I will probably continue to use it when I am an NP. Quick and easy resource!
Add ability to alphabetize Favorites 4/5
Use this app frequently both for student reference and for professional nursing. It would be helpful to have the ability to organize the Favorites list into categories or to be able alphabetize the list.
Won't pay $40 without a trial 1/5
I am a pharmacist and this seems like a good app to have on hand when I don't have access to my USPDI. I don't like that I can't preview the app's full functionality before buying it. $40 is a bit steep for an unknown entity. Rather allow a days' full access as a preview, than the poor excuse for a preview you're currently offering.
Not worth the $40 2/5
By Marie hobe sound
More often than not I pull my phone out of my pocket to look up a drug and the app starts updating. Save your money and use Google instead. That's what I end up doing. Very disappointed.
App works well. My big issue is with the company. It is advertised that the app can be kept for as long as it is needed, unless you want updates. If you want updates you would need to pay annually. This is FALSE advertisement, as there is no way to transfer the app to a new phone without having to update, and being required to pay again. Very overpriced and falsely advertised.
Great for nursing students and nurses period
Excellent App 5/5
This is a great app! I use it everyday and love that you can star or bookmark drugs for fast retrieval!
Excellent resource for any healthcare provider 5/5
I use this app multiple times a day in my role as a healthcare provider. There are more than 2,000 drugs and it's simply not possible to remember them all. The pronouniations are incredibly helpful. I've had this app for two years and it's worth every penny.
A request 5/5
Could you add the ability to move entries in the favorites list? I want to alphabetize my drugs so I can find them easier, but they don't move from the order I put them on the list.
Drug guide 1/5

Not a good app. Doesn't allow you to see all drugs. Gives you very few options. No point in down loading this crap. Wouldn't even give it a star but I guess I have to in order to submit this sad review.
I have used this app at my job for years. Totally worth the $. I like this so much more than the information site provided at my various employers.

I love this app, i am a nurse and use this on a daily basis, able to look up duration, normal dose, side effects, etc in a instant. Highly recommend.
Great drug reference - R.Ph. 5/5
By John Kranjac
Great drug reference app!
I use it daily in my retail pharmacy practice.
Complete with pronunciation, pictures and clear, extensive information. I use a few different references and this is one of the quickest, easiest to use with the most complete drug info and mechanism of action.
Worth the small investment.
It's free because all the important meds are not included. They try to get $40 out of you. Plenty of good drug apps for free. FA Davis has always been a rip-off!!
Great app 5/5
Great resource for nursing students!
Nurse Randy 5/5
Love it ;)
As a Cardiac nurse I use this app almost daily. I can be sitting with a pt and don't have to leave to retrieve a drug book.
My coworker was on the phone and I over heard her talking to a pt about a medication. Before she could look for a drug book I had the medication pulled up and she was relaying information to the pt.
This is a must if you are in nursing school!!!!

Best app ever!!!
More than I Expected!!! 5/5
This is an awesome app, it constantly updates giving the user access to the most current drugs and related info, I did not expect top notch customer service from their service team yet the customer service offered is impeccable and reliable. I am a nursing student and I recommend this app to nursing students and anyone who needs drug information that is thorough and "to-date". 👍🏾
Everything I expected! 5/5
I wouldn't use another drug guide. This has been my go to drug guide since I've become a nurse. With the constant updates I've been able to get the most accurate information available.
Great app 5/5
Great app for nursing school as you can have all it at your finger tips without having to carry a book.
Cannot transfer to new device 1/5
Once the subscription expires, the app does not transfer to a new phone. So, each time you buy a new phone you have to pay $40.
By Brenda Dion
It help me to write my medication cards faster. Easy to use at the hospital
Works Well and Can Improve 4/5
Compared to ePocrates, this app has nursing implementations, assessments, and administration guidelines well-presented for each drug. The feature for jumping between information sections in a drug is nice too. The material closely resembles what's in the publisher's books but this has a much cleaner layout.
I'm still looking for a feature where I can search the monograph for key phrases like "push" or "monitor."
Good app search function very helpful 5/5
App has been very helpful during nursing school. Search function works great. Information organized well.

Best app ever I use it everyday
Great app 4/5

I love the app much better then the web version on my phone because I was always having to wait for the webpage to load up. The app is great it's got some awesome calculators and I've never had a crash or any other problems

Good App 5/5
It's a great app to use when needing to refer on the go! Very useful and convenient to have on phone. I just wish it would have recommended techniques got administering certain drugs. Like which ones to use Z track method or what gauge needle is recommended.
Awesome app 5/5
By Karissa Jean
I love my Davis drug guide book and having it at the touch of your finger tips! It helps me get through my homework faster!
Cross devise comparability fail!!!! 3/5
I love the heck out of this app. As a nurse, it is incredibly convenient. I use this app in my office as I sit next to four paper back guides. It's great. Now the dirt. I originally downloaded it to my iPad a while ago. Of course, I knew it was worth it before I even downloaded it. Call it intuition. Well I decided to put it on my new iPhone thinking it would work as well. Wrong/fail. What a gip. I already paid for it, I simply don't want to pay for it if I already own it. Amen?! I'm gonna call them.
Great Resource 5/5
Perfect for nursing school. Online access is wonderful bonus.
Wouldn't buy again 2/5
The drug guide app is extremely faulty and the content constantly disappears or is "updating" and locks up the app from being used. The "fix" is to delete the app and re download it which is very time consuming and pointless when I need to immediately access the content and can't wait for the app re download.
Davis drug guide 3/5
Bought this app last year (2014) and wanted it on my phone that I just got but that version is not available and had to download this but not all meds are available and don't want to pay another $40. Anyone know if I can fix that and it's just me that doesn't know how?
Faster than book. Totally recommend.
Great reference! 5/5
Speeds things up when looking up meds for nursing school. Very helpful.
Excellent app. Has all the information I need. Calculators are great as well.
Won't let me login!!! 1/5
It will not let me login no matter how updated everything is. I bought the book, put my code in, I can view it perfectly online but fails to let me view it on the app. Help!!!!
A must even after nursing school! 5/5
I swear by this app. If I don't recognize a medication and its indication right away, I take out my phone and find out in a few seconds. It is comprehensive and easy to navigate. Worth every penny!
