I like it, and wish i could own it instead of paying monthly or yearly. Otherwise i would keep it. Helped me trouble shoot feedback on a live gig.
  • Tree frogs 5/5

Very cool! My backyard peepers hit 92 dB.
  • Can’t disable auto-renew subscription 1/5

    By DikkusMinimus
There’s no option to terminate the auto-renew in the settings. I did the free trial and I’m not getting the use out of the app I need.
  • Why most upgrades messed up how an app worked before?!? 1/5

    By CrapApplication
I m using your free version for years. I was happy, i resisted to update, if it works why to risk, but this time i updated and what you did? You screwed up big huge time, i cannot find my saved files, some precious, my grandson first words, grand daughters cries and more. You tell me please how to recover those files.
  • It is a simple, yet useful tool. 4/5

    By Beckyboo-5
Our use the app to quantify the complaint “it’s too noisy”. It allows me to put a number on how noisy a thing is so that I can compare it to how it sounds after I fix the noise, or to the sound of my normal speaking voice. The graphic display is useful for showing someone how loud it is, or isn’t. The best way to improve this app would be not to have pop up ads, that is an unreasonable expectation on a free app!
  • I REPEAT, I DID NOT WANT THIS!! 1/5

    By hvvcgyfigh
This is NOT the type of app I could use.. Please help! I’ve just been charged just because I opened the app. I opened it just so that I can continue to look and find a way to unsubscribe..and I get charged!!!! I want out of this!!!!
  • Idk what to name it 4/5

By Look at me im mr.meseks
This is the 1st dB meter that I’ve downloaded. I am pretty impressed with it it has a camera feature and it seems pretty reliable. One thing that I do not like is for over half of the features you need to buy there “premium”. Which I guess is normal for an app which is free. Overall a pretty good app.
  • Classroom 5/5

    By rbsms ils
Great tool for middle school classroom management
  • It’s a trap 1/5

    By Wolfsbro
It’s Impossible to unsubscribe. You will be charged monthly starting three days after you install this app no matter what you do. It’s a trap app.
  • Outstanding App! 5/5

    By Tickntime
I use this to monitor our church services during praise and worship. It has been very helpful in determining hot spots in our sanctuary as well as tune or room with correct speaker arrangement. This them allowed us to eliminate or greatly reduce the hot spots in our sanctuary. A more consistent sound level prevents the desire to just pump music at a higher level. Higher decibels doesn't improve sound it just makes the problem worse. I would suggest this app for anyone needing a highly accurate decibel meter.
  • Used to be free. 1/5

    By Teek-Geek
This app previously was free. Now there is a message, try free for 3 days - then pay? Why should I pay now for the same service that used to be free.
  • Frustrating if you change your mind 5/5

    By CFB2000
Overall I have only one gripe with the app. If you subscribe to the premium $4.99/month service, there is no way for you to unsubscribe. I changed my mind on the monthly fee service but I can’t cancel. Otherwise, the app is awesome.
  • Rip off? 1/5

Not functional unless you immediately agree to a subscription.
  • Subscription only 1/5

    By GratefulDean1
It looks like this app is subscription only. I’m sick of subscriptions.
  • Not free? 2/5

    By Kath Mc
I downloaded this app and when I open it,it wanted me to sign up for a paid membership. I couldn’t find a way to just use the meter without signing up.
  • Food poisoning of Cookies! 1/5

    By Shena4949
IMO, this app will violate your privacy! No, I’m not giving you permission to record my conversations! I’m not giving you permission to share my anything! I could not even tell the app worked! The app also took me to screens that I could not find my way bk to the “Home Screen”! Don’t take me to a screen where I cannot get bk to the “Home page” of the app without me having to “x-out” of the entire app!!!! Why do you, software developer, take me to a page I can’t exit out of unless I “X-Out” of the entire app??? How dumb?!?!? And no, you’re not selling my personal data!!!
  • GET “NIOSH SLM” INSTEAD 1/5

    By @iamDrops
GET “NIOSH SLM” INSTEAD The CDC’s NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) has a full featured SPL/Sound Level Meter that is ACTUALLY FREE. It’s from the NIOSH so you can trust it’s accuracy/reliability across various iOS devices. It uses LAeq which is the most accurate measurement IME, it also has measurements that alert you of potential hearing loss risks. Don’t exceed 85dBA for 8hrs and you’re good. If you’re monitoring (mixing or mastering) you want to aim for 80dBA to hit the ear’s sweet spot.
  • Great iPhone tool 5/5

    By HATFIELDSBROTHER
I’m an audio specialist in a large church setting.Having several services each Sunday watching the levels is important. We run about 90-95dB in worship and 65-75dB pastors message so recording the averages each week is a great tool. I’ve used the expensive dB meters in the past but this iPhone app is all I use now. Very pleased!
  • Doesn’t auto-save pictures 2/5

    By SittenSpynne
You have to go out of your way to save images to your camera roll, it should do this automatically.
  • Works well but... 1/5

    By 143216357df
This app seems to work well for measuring decibel levels however you do need to sign up for a subscription that is free for the first three days. That’s all fine and dandy as they assure you you can cancel within three days from inside the app under settings. my problem is there doesn’t appear to be an option for this within settings. Also the email support link from in the app does not respond. I’m using an iPhone XS.
  • Not reliable 1/5

    By nntapeter
To much erratic result. Couldn’t find the unsubscribe button.
  • Love it 5/5

    By JfromMissouri
Easy to use and very easy to interpret. I use it in meetings to see when the music is too loud for safety. Thanks for such a good app.
  • Charging for an App that doesn’t even work 1/5

    By BrewRef
Worked fine before it became a pay-for-subscription app, now it won’t even launch. Find a meter that works, like NIOSH SLM, and avoid this one. Now I have to hope that erasing the app really cancelled the subscription
  • Limit your own life with app 2/5

    By gamermirrors
I know there’s more to it
  • Read some of the reviews. 1/5

    By Mykrossini
The free version of this app gives you consistently incorrect readings.
  • Ads interfere 2/5

    By jet hater
They said it was free then bombard with ads and requests to update, which interrupt the sound detection process. Won’t use it.
  • DBx 5/5

    By pdx_Nick
Great App but the analyzer is lacking a conversion to provide NC level. This would be helpful for many users.
  • Cheap and cheats 1/5

    By jack the rippoff
This is a con program. It doesn’t make it clear that there are charges to keep. Also not reliable results
  • Good for measuring loudness but limited utility 3/5

    By kenofportland
App doesn’t display full audible bandwidth. In fact most of the bass range and the entire top octave is not visible, and there’s no discernible way to scroll to it. The displayed range should either be adjustable in settings, or zoomable/scrollable.
  • Pretty Nice 5/5

    By nicholaspayton
Great visualizations, and having the peak frequency animated is really helpful.
  • Poor customer services 1/5

    By saml343
Won’t let you get a refund. Had trial less than 3 days and was charged.
  • Do not click 3 day trial 1/5

    By Rhettle
Don’t be scammed, as you can see in the 1 star reviews the developer makes it almost impossible to cancel after the 3 day free trial. Do not click on the 3 day free trial. Instead there is a close button hidden in the top right of the screen that allows you to move on without starting the trial.
  • Once quiet now noisy neighborhood 5/5

    By W/O Limits
I can measure the decibels of music coming from my many neighbor’s outdoor speakers before I call to complain. To know that this app reads as well as the authorities app helps me sleep when my windows are vibrating any time of day/night.
  • Works great!! 5/5

    By Ringos shadow
    Great!!!
  • Was free, now it’s not... 2/5

    By orgrawvgan
I’ve had this app installed (free) for years on my iPhones and now that I’ve upgraded to a new iPhone and opened the app I’m being asked to pay/subscribe or use free for 3 days and then $2.99/mo. No thanks. It did what it was suppose to but I’ll find another [free] decibel app to rarely use. Besides, the UI is too busy, distracting.
  • Too many ads 1/5

    By Tasai
There are too many ad banners and interruptions while using this app. To remove them it costs $3/month. Let me buy the app once, I’m not going to pay a subscription for a decibel meter.
  • Waste of time. 1/5

    By FLawyer50
Continually crashes within 30 seconds of starting on my iPhone. Might be a good app if it would run w/o crashing
  • Only goes to 100 3/5

    By cd1956-123456789
    Yes
  • Da coolest one 5/5

    By LouieLouEye
I am a maintenance mechanic for a prominent fulfillment warehouse and this app has helped me tremendously with everything from; noise levels to protect employees hearing to helping with photo eyes, wiring and proximity sensor troubleshooting. This powerful little app is a life saver everyday!
  • Horrible App 1/5

    By Ph1015901
Do t waste your time on this
  • Inaccurate and extremely invasive ads 2/5

    By wizzardfan
This app always read very high. In a very quiet room still read at 55-60 db The ads are so invasive that it makes the app unusable. I get you want me to upgrade to the no ad version but slamming me with an ad with every screen tap is terrible.
