App is always having issues. They’ve been piggybacking no/low tip orders to another to get Dasher to accept orders. Bordering unethical because no Dash will accept a $2.50 tip for a 20min drive.

Won’t even let me login support team gives the most simple advice that don’t even . Telling me to make sure my phone is updated WiFi is off and to reset my phone. I told them that wasn’t the problem y’all app is the problem

I’ve been using door dash on the weekends to make extra money for the last few week, and while it has definitely helped with the extra income the haptic feedback is very delayed and often takes several seconds to respond. This has been extremely frustrating while trying to complete an order or even accept one.
Also, a couple developer ideas:
Enable a manual refresh button instead of having to wait for a count down.
Which choosing your navigation options for iOS users, allow the app to use Apple Maps in the app.
Prop 22 == dictating orders illegal. 1/5
Proposition 22 is the law of the land in California, and it guarantees courier independence as that was the only way anybody agreed to vote for this DoorDash and Uber serving proposition. DoorDash has been ever more overtly implementing a system tying high acceptance rate (AKA brain damage in this industry) to higher paying orders. Only thing that should affect order flow is courier distance and courier rating. DoorDash has steadily increased the egregiousness with which they are breaking this law in tying acceptance rates to orders received. This is illegal and contradicts the very prop 22, which you yourselves lobbied for and spent millions of dollars to not have to pay full on employment wages for all time online. As such, you really need to cut this Illegal behavior out. To any actual engineers working on the app, if you write such logic into code you are complicit - blow the whistle now or testify against management for immunity later during the congressional hearings on gig worker algorithmic exploitation. All California drivers (all drivers for that matter) should thumbs down after every order and in the something else field let them know that limiting or assigning orders based on acceptance rate is against the law in California. Cease and desist!

Started doing DoorDash this week and on the first dash, the app takes forever to load and the navigation lags behind. Only way around this is using Apple Maps but still disappointing that the app has terrible performance compared to Uber eats

My partner and I are unable to successfully complete orders leaving us stranded awkwardly in front of houses waiting for the app to load (I’m talking minutes not seconds). This 100% started as of the most recent update (4 days ago, currently). It assumed it was connectivity issues with my phone, but my boyfriends phone is running into the exact same issues. (Different carrier, different phone). I am unable to make deliveries in a timely manner BECAUSE of the app, and this is killing my ratings as well.

Everytime i try to tap on something, it is very delayed or doesn’t work at all. Same when i try to text a customer or the Support Team. It wasn’t like thid before so idk what is going on. But the bugs need to be fixed!!

I can not change the location for my dashes. I live on the opposite side of the state and it won’t let me change that.
I’ve tried contacting customer support to fix it and all they did was send me an email to trouble shoot the issue.
I did it all before I even contacted them. Before I could explain that they said, “ thank you for choosing door dash”. I still couldn’t figure this out. I did not get the help I needed. The support doesn’t want to assist you. They send an email with step by step instructions to fix thing and they don’t care if that doesn’t work. You Can Not Get the Help You Need. Guess this “job” isn’t worth it after all especially since they have no customer support that can help you for longer than 2 minutes when necessary.

This app is worse than Taco bell’s food.
The app needs to be easier to use, it freeze up all the time. This makes it hard to earn. Also all the low paying deliveries 17 or more miles away is crazy. It shouldn’t affect our ratings if we turn down those deliveries. Gas is expensive. My app in my car is better than the accuracy of the map in this app. Other apps are much better… please work on that to make our lives in delivery faster and better.

Today, Nov. 27, 2022 was my first time Dashing. I was extremely excited and hopeful about my dashing. I did great, but the app was by far my biggest issue. It was very laggy and I had trouble with my maps too. I also didn’t see my pay show up immediately after each Dash (I am using that option).

Until DoorDash has actually fix my issue that has now been going on for two days I will have this as a 1 star. I only applied to be a dasher because of a friend referral and I can’t continue my application not matter if I try to do it through both the web browsers on my phone since the app sends you there, on my pc through a special link, or try to log in which gives me a log in error. I was patient about it yesterday but after being contacted back for help today which was no bloody help I have lost that patience. Fix your systems whether it is the app or website. I think I may give up at this point and go try to work for GrubHub or UberEats. Hopefully less hassle since they don’t require your consumer account to be linked to the drivers portal.

Ever since the last update the application starts to freeze up the longer it runs. I notice it most while using the navigation platform integrated into the application. Its an accident waiting to happen. In addition, for as long as i’ve been dashing, the navigation platform is notorious for sending you into homeless camps in back allies. If this is a emergency “CALL 911”. Just a few things i’ve noticed.

Every single time I dash the app is very slow, I’ll be standing at the door to take a photo and it won’t load, I have to restart the app and half the time it still won’t load.

Tried to sign up as a driver. Was told I was already signed up even though it was my first time ever using any doordash app. Had to use a different email to start application process. Kept rejecting my passwords. When it did finally let me sign in I’d get an error message. Supposedly did background check and identity verification but it’s been three weeks and no updates. I sign in and I’m asked to continue or restart application even though I already submitted this information. Horrible

Locked My Account For No Reason, Laggy Outdated App 2/5
DoorDash locked me out of my account for THEIR mistake. They sent the same order to me and another person. That person picked up the order and I called DoorDash to dispute it. They did and then 20 minutes later they locked my account for “suspicious” activity. I did the right thing by calling DoorDash so that the customer got their money back and I got my money but they still locked me out for no reason. Also when I accept orders, DoorDash spams me the same order like I didn’t already accept it and says I “missed the order”. They also need to update their in-app Google Maps. It’s soooo outdated. You have all of this money and can’t fix simple issues with your app? It lags out and glitches all the time.

Stop screwing your drivers. Consistent pay decreases, Spend hours waiting for $10 worth of deliveries. Base pay has been cut again so if you want to drive 20 min for $2.75 this app is for you! You can almost make minimum wage but not quite! Jokes on you!

This app keeps crashing every time I got out to do an order. Even when I’m in the middle of an order it will crash and kick me out of the app. When this happens it takes like 5 min to go back in to the main page of the app and it still says you have an on going order! Horrible app.

I’m not sure what the issue is, but using this app on my phone to work literally drains my battery even if my phone is constantly plugged in, I’ve switched chargers, cleared all apps and nothing works, my phone has died mid order multiple times and I have a newer iPhone, I do not have this problem with other apps, I do like to doordash and it does make me good money but I have problems almost everytime I dash.

They say your rating wont be affected if the merchant made a mistake… well i got a bad rating for it and door dash support wouldn’t take the rating off!!? I do this for a living as i dont have a actual job yet and its been affecting me. Also uber driver is way better and more understanding. If i could rate u guys zero stars i would !

This app doesn’t work half the time. It glitches and sometimes you miss out on opportunities because of that. When it does work, it works great. But if the area you are it is busy, it freezes.

Easy enough to sign up and start dashing. But the app is terrible, lags and freezes and crashes so much that it makes delivering stressful and hard to complete. The GPS lags and doesn’t know where you are half the time. The in-app texting with customers has so much lag I literally can’t type a message. The camera for taking a delivery picture doesn’t work or freezes so long, it takes minutes after delivery to actually confirm delivery. Pretty much a disaster and not worth the stress.

The app has consistent issues with lag and crashing. It will slow down to the point the mapping will hang up and leave the dasher stuck with no guidance, which causes us to close/reopen the app and then wait for the app to reset for the delivery. It will also take you on lonnnng roundabout deliveries then when you want to return to where you were it will give a shorter faster more direct route. If it would just run consistently it would help both Doordash and its Dashers immensely.

So often I’ve found that it isn’t actually worth it to drive for DoorDash when considering wear and tear on your car, gas, and what your time is actually worth. To actually make a decent living, you must be selective with what orders you choose, but at a cost. If your acceptance rate drops too low, the amount of orders received are abysmal, and the orders you do receive are the ones other drivers wouldn’t dare to take.
Recently, I picked up an order which required my Red Card. I tried using the Red Card to no avail, and decided to use my debit card, which I assumed I could be reimbursed for. After countless hours of chats where the agent hangs up on me, tells me a higher level agent will reach out (which never happens), and continually being declined for this reimbursement, I’ve given up hope on driving for this company. I essentially paid $10 to drive an order across town for someone.
The app is buggy and crashes frequently for me. Addresses rarely load correctly and sometimes you have to park your car in a sketchy place to be able to walk someone’s order to them. Many other minor issues compounded with their lackluster customer support leads me to plead the users to drive for another company, or to not contribute to the driver gig economy at all.

I'm a casual dasher. Maybe 20 runs/week. I'd probably do more except for the fact that the app is terribly glitchy. It will freeze at the most inconvenient times. Also, when trying to jump on promos they will show as available but when you to to book it will say the time slot is no longer available. However it still shows on the promo screen. Sounds like you need some backend help there, maybe it's a caching issue. But whatever it's highly annoying.

Months and can’t even sign in. Always error, already made two accounts, change passwords and still can’t sign in on the app
They charge customers 4.99 for delivery and pay $2 to drivers to pick up an order. So customer thinks that drivers get 4.99 plus tip $4. So it’s like $9 but reality is it’s only $6. Chip company. They also charge restaurants 30% of the entire order. Don’t support this company. It is a scum.

Surprised and disappointed in how awful the app is. I haven’t been able to dash once since signing up due to app errors, pages not even loading, outdated hyperlinks that take me to non existent pages, and over all just extremely buggy and glitchy. The frustration is not even worth the dashing at this point.

Unable to click on accept like it's frozen so then I lose the order. GPS would be slow to catch up as well so I would have to open up Google Maps separately. Please fix and update soon!!!
