This company exploits the working class. They call their drivers independent contractors but yet penalized them for not accepting orders. and independent contractor should be able to select whatever delivery they want without being penalized. All this to avoid paying $0.655 per mile in federal mileage reimbursement.
Multiple PAGA lawsuits and class action law suites should be brought against DoorDash.
They claim average pay is around $23 per hour. If you’re gonna work here expect to make between $10 and $15 an hour including tips and all. This can be confirmed on Glass Door by actual driver reviews.
Also, there is no standard operating procedures for drivers to follow and if you push a button in the wrong order, they will not pay you the gas they are supposed to.

I like dashing but sometimes the areas are very dangerous and people are dishonest when they say they didn’t get their order. Also I don’t think it’s fair to be a top dasher and get a $5.50 0rder and go 12.2 miles.

In 2022 I thought dasher was a great opportunity however since 2023 the average Pay rate per hour has droppped to 15 dollars an hour which is less than minimum & that doesn’t include gas cost.
I often have people asking me to drive more miles in one direction alone for less money than the miles so for example 10 miles one way or 20 round trip for 9 dollars. It’s finally working still afford to order take out but can’t pay thedtiver.I think it should be minimum $5 on all deliveries& at least a dollar per mile for more than 5 miles

I haven’t really seen this to be profitable yet,1/4 of my pay today went to fuel, another 1/4 is going to taxes… biggest tip I have gotten so far is $3….. I understand it’s my first day but seeing myself as a owner operator I’m gonna have to work 12-14 hours a day just to see my self make $10-13 an hour… if I’m doing something wrong I’d like to know so I can improve and hopefully get better paying deliveries

My first day and I was so excited only to be disappointed. First let me say, that starting off and using the Dasher app was super easy as is delivering. Why I gave 2 stars is you don’t know your destination until you pick up, and the customers DO NOT tip. I did a 200$ grocery order and it said my be more with customer tip. Customer tipped 0.00. My last order was 22 minutes away with 0.00 tip. I suggest tips be automatically included in the price. Doing it this way helps the dasher. It also prevents customers from taking advantage of those delivering.

Had a error in my application and for some reason customer support is very limited, you’ll be going around in circles and no help , they never respond to emails as they claimed. They need to have better tools and better people otherwise very soon they will run about if drivers, Due lack of support. That been said that won’t recommend new drivers to used this application , Uber is far more superior, better customer service.

If it weren’t for the special bonus they put out, it wouldn’t have been worth my time. I can’t imagine completing all these orders and only being paid what was offered per order. I ONLY kept doing it to get the $300. Running all over town and waiting around at restaurants for $2 or $3 is not worth the effort, the gas, or my time. I MIGHT do it again if they put another large bonus out, but I don’t know how they keep employees paying these normal rates. The recruiters are nice, no issue with the people at door dash. It’s just not worth it. I drove from around 9:30pm to 2:30pm and I bet I barely cleared $50. I would have made $200 in the same time with Lyft…. And never gotten out of my vehicle, or waited a single second for my next ride.

For over a week I have not been able to schedule IOS 16.3. If i schedule from 5 pm to 4 am the app instead schedules me from 4 am to 5pm that day. If a schedule from 5 pm to 2am the next day it schedules me for the whole day. 24 hours. Of course when you don’t dash at the time you didn’t schedule you lose your whole schedule and you make no money. I have been telling support about this problem for a week. Of course I know how to set the schedule I have done over 1600 dashes. Please fix this asap.

The last two nights at 11:30 PM I am getting notifications that I have a Dash scheduled to start at midnight. However, I have scheduled myself to start at 7 AM. I also noticed when I was trying to schedule for the following Tuesday that when I would put 7 AM as my starting time, after I saved my dash, it would show up as midnight my starting time. I tried to change it several times, but it kept putting midnight as my starting time.

Delivery eta kept getting pushed back from 20 minutes to an hour and 20 while tracking the delivery driver their location was moving about in a mall in my area. They said their app was glitching but their location wasn’t, so I highly doubt that. So in the end they just refunded me and it’s almost 8 pm and I have to find another delivery app to use while I’m here at home with COVID. Thanks DoorDash that was amazing. 👍🏽

Good drivers and employees are punished by the apps inability to properly pair orders that are ready for pickup. I unassigned two orders today that were part of doubles with no penalty because of the wait times. Pay does not compensate for gas price fluctuations. Driver ratings are impacted negatively by circumstances completely out of our hands. There is zero communication with the restaurant for out of stock items, which needs to improve. We are still dealing with Covid and I had to hand my device to a customer to sign their name with greasy germy fingers. Take this feature away until proper PPE is provided for cleaning phones/screens that customers touch.

1ST day in door dashing and it was pretty good. Other then accepting one order and not being able to deliver it and getting called “pathetic” and a “clown” it went pretty well lol,, annnnnnd GPS has you take the longer routes SMH!! Overall today was a good day and hoping tomorrow is a better day!!(: thank you DoorDash for the opportunity.

I tried logging into the app and it asked for my drivers license. I tried taking a picture of it but it keep saying “hardware issue” It logged me out and I can’t log back in. I had amazing ratings and delivery timing there should be no reason why my account should be deactivated, if it has gotten deactivated.

I’ve used this app for the past month and gotten decent money and when I decent I mean dashing for 3 hours a day and getting $10 and hour basically not worth it…. And even at that when they give you “ high priority” orders 9 out of 10 people do not tip so you can drive 30 plus mins to deliver and will only give $6 they should give an extra boost for waiting your time to deliver to people that don’t tip. Don’t use this app use another one…

1-почему приложение не поддерживает русский язык. Ведь большинство из тех кто работает в дор даш сегодня это русскоязычные эмигранты.
2-почему в переписке клиента с доставщиком нет возможности скопировать текст?
3-почему в переписке клиента с доставщиком приложение не делает автоматический перевод на язык на котором разговаривает доставщик или клиент как это сделано в приложении Убер.
4-очень большая комиссия за разовый вывод денег на карту. 2$ на убере это стоит 0.85$
5-сложно разобраться в приложении в кратчайший срок. К нему нужно привыкать.
Этот список можно продолжать очень долго. Но я остановлюсь на этом возможно разработчики увидят и подумают над улучшением своего приложения!!!
