Door dash will literally deactivate your accuser no reason. I had good ratings and no bad reviews good communication with customers and just because I declined one order for reason being that my phone was not working properly next day I woke up to my account being deactivated. Thought it was ridiculous. Even messaged door dash to try and get recovered but because in the agreement it states They can do that. Just join at your own risk. Make sure you use this “job” as a full-time job and do not decline or they will deactivate your account. They pay is not good either your literally working off of tips. Join instacart they pay so much better it’s actually worth it if your in dire need of gas or food you will make at least close to 100$ or over 100$ in less than 2 hr which is very good for jobs like this.

At times it’s like donating your time cause all you doing is using gas to make gas money it’s not much. Long distance driving for crumbs when you add it up your making a few dollars an hour a few as in $3-5 with wear and tear on your car. My 3rd day dashing a valet driver backed into me now I have a big dent sore back an no money. You tell me… is it worth it. Door dash is for quick change when your bored definitely a SIDE job

App keeps on crashing and they don’t even say oh no e going give u guys 20 or atleast 5 dam dollars for being patient or waisitng our dashing time …they want to hire more and more drivers and they don’t even want to pay good ….whenever their a promo they pay u less and when ever customers tip good they pay less …in my opinion I think customers should pay us in cash in person so that was doordash pays more

App Needs Improving 3/5
I personally like DoorDashing and the freedom that comes with it. However, when the App crashes, it’s a nightmare. If they could fix the App to run better and handle high traffic, I’d give Dashing 5 stars. The only other thing that is disheartening is the ability for customers to not tip you at all. It doesn’t make sense or seem fair for us to have to travel a few miles between house and restaurant, pick up a lot of things, complete it in a certain amount of time, and then only make $3-4 from it. I feel like these are both easy fixes, and I really hope the company is working on it.

The Dasher app is very glitchy. It will freeze while you’re trying to pick up an order and you’ll have to end your dash in order to get back to the dash that you were doing. I even had a situation just yesterday where a woman’s order came in to me at 7:45 and she had put the order in an hour prior. When I got to the store to pick up her order she was already there and very upset.

The app seems to be easy to use for me, but recently I’ve had problems with receiving orders. I’ll receive text messages telling me there’s an order available, but the app doesn’t give me an option to accept the order.
I am not a fan of the in-app GPS. Sometimes the voice commands will repeat the same command numerous times when coming up to a turn. I don’t need to be told 75 times to make a turn when I’m within 500ft of the turn.
I would also like to see a change with the direct payout option. Currently you have to wait 7 days if you make a change to the payment account. It would be nice if Door Dash could reduce that time if you’ve used the account before.
It would also be nice if the app gave you a log of the miles you drive.

It takes 1 tap and - on many occasions - an accidental screen swipe to accept an order on DoorDash but to decline an offer you have 4 taps across 4 different portions of the screen - after you dismiss the text message notification that also came through. On a super busy night where the offers come through back to back, you have seconds between subsequent offers. Then - should you be focused on - oh I don’t know - driving maybe - you get another text message reminding you to action the offer you just got on the app or it will be offered to someone else. Last night it was insanely busy here and there was a $4.50 additional per and the app crashed. I got the text messages and - after selecting help - could see I actually had assigned deliveries- so I rebooted my phone, no help- the screen still only showed “looking for offers”. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and rebooted (nope) and so I did it again (still nothing- texts still coming into my phone with offer after offer and the occasional admonishment to accept or else). So I try to message support (no one is available it says) ok, so I call - my estimated wait time is 20 minutes. So I give up, drive back to my home area & then wait another 30 minutes - now I’ve been on hold for almost 50 minutes for support so I use the help to un-assign myself and take the hit to my completion rate. It was easily a $250 night during dinner rush but because of the app it was $0. I turned it back on near home and got a $3 for 7 miles and a $4 for 10 Miles and turned off the app. Sure, now the app works fine - it only didn’t work when I needed it to.

Map get confusing and it will be nice if the address have some references. Many times numbers are hard to see. And why the map is “south” “east” etc… just say right left as apple map! Please 😭😭😭😭 other than that… great

Not once not twice but three times in the last few days the app has completely crashed leaving people stuck with uncompleted deliveries and stuck with food.

This platform need work. The number that’s listed on the orders for the customers don’t work. Then some of the orders that have codes to get into the building to drop off the orders are not in the instructions. Please help us so we can help you and the customers.
On a few different occasions there has been problems with the app or shall I say glitches in the door dash system. It may say go to McDonald’s pop up right away is go to Burger King pop up right away go to Panera Papa go away etc. etc. Sometimes it does not give you time to accept or decline lately there have been quite a few glitches in the system go to Friendly’s go to Chili’s go to Panera bread go to Friendly’s go to Chili’s. I don’t understand what is happening. If it’s something that means are working out from glitches. I would like to know it is very confusing waste a lot of time gas running back-and-forth quickly trying to get it before someone else can snatch it up. Such as today that had happened two days ago it has happened there were no orders for quite some time. Some people are saying they were having trouble with their app. We logged out we logged in no change.
Also are the customers aware that the base pay or peak pay is not a tip from them. I get many orders small and large with no tip and I think they believe that that is included in the shipping and handling fee is there anyway we can note that to the customers stating this is not a customer tip that we are there for them with a smile and their food and they do not give a tip specially when you have to go across the river to pick some thing up and bring it back across the river again which takes up a lot of time

I love love love. Being a door dasher. I’m not saying it’s always easy. But I do have some great days. I’m older. So it’s hard to do straight 8 hours. I do it when I can. All I can say is thank you. Door Dash. For giving me the opportunity. 🥰😇🙏💗

Right in the middle of a storm my door dash decided to acts crazy. I declined an order and apparently it accepted it. My door dash would not work at all. I have uninstalled it and it continues to do the same thing. It says I am still paused and will not do anything.
Dasher app. Problems 2/5
I have been working for door dash for a couple weeks now, for whatever reason I kept getting orders but then they were being transferred to other drivers because the app was claiming they could not get the order sent to my phone. I had to continually uninstall and reinstall the app. It is absolutely not my phone, I have the iPhone 12 promax… The app also says my customer rating as a 4.0 and I have only had 46 deliveries. The app states that the customer rating changes every hundred deliveries, I have not completed 100 deliveries yet, the app is telling me customers that have rated you below a 4.20 will be deactivated. I have no reviews or a customer rating so how am I at a 4.0 ?

The app is very easy to utilize. My only complaint is when I have an issue getting a hold of a Dasher customer support representative is very difficult. For instance today I hadTrouble with the app. And I try to get a hold of customer service. And I try to do the chat option. And I was number 7432 in line.
Otherwise, this is one heck of a great app to make extra money and income.

Most apparent complexes are very difficult to locate the drop off location.
Customers are not responding to texts and calls.
Most of them do not show to hand over the food.
Time spent to find the number of the drop off location exceeds the driving time to pickup location to the drop off location.

Well, to start the app glitches so much. During deliveries and while trying to find them. Some of the deliveries that pop-up will have a decent base pay but then you’re driving all the way to another suburb which is a solid 20 minute drive. Not worth the money, I wish I could see how far the drop off is before I except the delivery. My last delivery was from downtown Wichita all the way to the other side of Valley Center, not OK.

The app crashes as you are delivering food. No way to communicate with customer and they had an automated message their site was down with no help for driver or customer. I was enjoying making deliveries and earning the cash but it’s not fair to blame drivers when the cite is down.

Mostly functional app. Annoying glitches are common. Here’s the reason for 1-star: sometimes the app will go so completely screwy it ruins your whole “shift”. For example, yesterday all of Doordash was down in my area — couldn’t place or accept an order at all. Today, the app wasn’t showing me any orders, but kept sending me text notifications of ones I didn’t “accept in time”. All of this and their “dasher support” is a joke. Also, it doesn’t pay nearly as much as it used to.

I am very disappointed with what I experienced on my recent dash. I hope to not get a contract violation from this, seeing as this was not my fault. On my recent dash, I had to pick up groceries. By the time the cashier rung me up and I paid the order with my red card. I was all set and ready. However, I could not proceed to delivery. All of the sudden, my app wouldn’t work. The estimate expectant time of arrival to the customer was 3:51pm, but since the app would not let me go any further. I had to contact the customer myself and ask them for the address. At the end of the day, the customers received the groceries, at 4:06pm. I apologized for the inconvenience to the customer. These bug issues on the app are nothing new. I am very upset that I could not receive help from chat agents or dasher support. Please fix this issue as soon as possible or I’ll have to find another to employer to seek work.
