App won’t connect to chat, no refund for missing food 1/5

Can’t get support and can’t get a refund. The food was 3x smaller than normal, the garnish on top was missing, and the delivery person didn’t use the door dash bag so I have no idea if they ate my food or if the restaurant screwed up. Not happy, looking for an alternative delivery service.
App vs execution 3/5
I use Door Dash fairly regularly over the last 2-3 months now. The app is easy to use with a clean design and friendly UX. The issues come from the content of the app being up-to-date or notated.
The app allows some order items to be noted with special instruction- to modify an order, specify a flavor, or whatnot.
I order from my local sushi restaurant most often and get a dessert (almost every time) that offers two individual flavors out of a possible four. That item cannot have any special instructions left on it.
Which means EVERY TIME I order I get phone calls asking which flavors I would like. Every time I tell them that the app does not permit a note. Occasionally I am told they will fix it. Add on to that the calls from the delivery drivers because my driveway is easily missed (understandable) and the occasional post-delivery “how was your service” call and there could be 2-4 calls per order.
I have had a couple of orders cancelled or incorrect.
Some improvements definitely are needed. Overall, I get delivery where I would normally not be able to. So, that rules.
DoorDash- if you read this- it will always be green tea and strawberry Mochi ice cream. Please stop calling me.
Misleading delivery fee 1/5
Not sure if it’s a glitch, but I clicked on Buffalo Wild Wings on the main page where it stated delivery was free, yet once I actually got into the menu area it said there was a fee. Pretty misleading if you ask me. Don’t advertise it as free delivery if it isn’t!
Love it. Wish they would make it where you can tip after you get the food because not all dashers are that good. Some can be very sloppy with no care for how they take care of the food.

I ordered from them all the time and only 1 time have I had something go wrong. It was a small mistake. The person put the wrong ingredient in. Not a big deal at all I was kinda bummed out but mistakes happen it nothing crazy and I just submitted that I got the wrong thing and they refunded me for more than the item was. Yes the should be taking more time and being more careful it’s there job so I understand if it was a big mess up with the order I would be mad but something as small as that and it was handled very easy is not a big deal. Other than that I have always gotten my food very fast and always perfect! There are no other apps like this that deliver in my area so it’s nice to have it!

Insane! Warm food cannot and should under no circumstances be cooked before there is an assigned dasher to the order. Awful service! Greed won over customer experience. Disgusting. Bad food delivery. Each experience I try to stay positive but the food is majority of the time lukewarm-to-cold upon arrival. Items can be missing. Doordash had a chance to create a great service for delivering authentic restaurant style experiences to customer’s at there homes or business, etc. But failed to do so instead creating a bottom level version of each restaurant’s food. Not a fan. If they really cared about the customer they would utilize technology to a much greater degree to maximize delivery efficiency. They should take into account dashers in the area and not recommend if they aren’t enough drivers. My only logical conclusion based on my previous experiences with Doordash can be that greed has won out over empathy and kindness in this company whether they realize it or not! Customers are the ones you should listen to because you wouldn’t exist without us and we’re leaving.

Nice drivers but the app is terrible. If I schedule an order to arrive between a certain time, I don’t expect it to be early. I’ve done this twice now and it has shown up 15 min early. Both times I wasn’t home. It isn’t rocket science. If a user schedules a timeframe, you should expect it is for a reason and not send the order immediately.
Never have I ever been so upset with a company that I actually had to write a bad review. Every single time I’ve used their services there is always a problem. Like this last time first, their menu options are totally wrong. They give you side options you must select that are not even included in the meal and they require you to select an option or else you can’t add it to the cart! So the “customer service” rep call you and tells you they need to charge you more! I’m deleting this app. Never ever again!
Too many fees and charges 1/5
Door dash raises the price of the menu items of the restaurant and then add taxes and fees and then on top of that a delivery fee then they expect you to tip. So you pay a lot for the convenience.

This company is horrible. I placed a order for food and everything went through credit card got charged, then a hour and half later with no explanation door dash says they are cancelling my order.

This company is terrible and terrible to its drivers. I am often missing money and often told that money will be given to me unfortunately it does not. Door Dash deactivated my account stating my driver rating was too low although I have had the same rating for the entire time I have started driving for door dash 2 years. Not only did door dash deactivate my account they did not give me my payout for last weeks drive. Door Dash will not let me reply to the email they sent regarding my pay. I drive a total of 7-8 hours and may make $65-$70 a day but often some of it is missing. I am not upset and very happy to not be working for this company any longer. I am also not going to continue to go back and forth with door dash about pay. I have a ton of screenshots and emails asking for my pay and door dash saying they would pay me, but my bank statements reflect no payments were added. The wear and tear to my vehicle is not worth working for this company. I thank God that I have alternate employment as I work private nursing at night for the state, and would drive during the day both children are in college. This company has to find a better way to treat their drivers no driver should pay out more money for a drive than they actually make. Also door dash should be held accountable for not paying its drivers.

Recommendation for next update if not already. To provide a way for drivers delivering food to report issues they may encounter with restaurants. Such as if they are closed unexpectedly. For example local Jack in the box had a fire in their kitchen fire marshal has forced them closed until they correct the situation. (True example) this is creating an inconvenience for other drivers in aware of the situation. This can cause acquiring food to be being late or potentially cold and unhappy customers because They have to travel further to the next restaurant.
I have been trying to contact doordash for months in regards to being locked out of my account and not once has anyone attempted to do anything to fix this issue, not an email back, no email to reset password, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Worst app ever. I would not recommend.
Poor customer service over the phone 1/5
My last two orders have came in wrong missing items. I call and ask for my missing items to be brought to me that I paid for I flat out got told no because it was under $30. I’m sorry it’s not my fault it wasn’t checked before leaving. I have no problem with the drivers. I will be using bite squad from now on.

Received unsolicited notifications 1/5
I liked this app until I started receiving unsolicited notifications on my phone for special deals. I used to just turn off notifications for apps that do this but now I uninstall them. There are plenty of competing service that do not do this.
I ordered some food and was chartered for it but it never came so I tried to find a way to contact the co. and ask but the only “questions” you can ask are the ones already answered in the FAQ section , they don’t provide any kind of way of contacting them I’ve looked for emails and phone numbers but can’t find a way to get in contact with someone who can answer my question

This company is awesome! I used them for the first time yesterday and was surprised how great they were. I asked for a side of a condiment in the comments, not realizing it costs more money and they called me to ask my permission to add it since it did cost more. I thought it was nice that they did that! My food came when I expected it to and I received updates about when the food left the restaurant. I would definitely use this app again!

DO NOT use DoorDash. I ordered food on Saturday for 6 people and received an email that the driver canceled our order. I contacted DD and they said the driver tried to contact me, not true. I called the restaurant and they told me the driver had returned the food to them and I called DD to tell them to send another driver with our food and they refused. I told them I wanted to be refunded and they said the had to send it for review. I received an email the following day that they would not compensate me. They charged my card $93 (15% tip included) for food that was never delivered. My bank is now disputing the charges on my behalf. Horrible customer service. Use GRUBHUB or UBEREATS!

door dash is a great app , ordered chipotle recently & everything went well .
one thing i didn’t notice was that they will charge you for everything , (i.e) chickfila , you would have to buy the things separately . why isn’t there a meal option ?
But other than that , it’s great .
BEST APP EVER 5/5
This is the best company ever. You can tell that they really care about their customers . I had an issue with my order (not the delivery) and they without hesitation gave me credits for it. The craziest part is that I didn’t even complain to them about the order I just left an honest rating and they called and asked me what was wrong and I told them. I will forever use this app, I have never been more pleased with customer service. This is something I have never dealt with before and I couldn’t be more happy. Door dash is really great to it’s user, allowing you to refer friends to get credits is great. The monthly discounts they use are amazing . I love this app. I will be referring more friends , coworkers and family to this. I never had a problem with my delivery (I live in an area where traffic is sooooo heavy and my house is really hard to find because it’s in a closed off hidden neighborhood) and my delivery would ALWAYS be earllllllly. On top of that my food would be correct and it would have the correct temperature (if I ordered ice cream it would stay cold, if I ordered something hot it would stay hot), the dashers are super respectful, hilarious and kind and they actually bring the food to you unlike most food apps. The selections of places to eat is amazing!!! This app deserves 50 stars and I am not the type of person to leave reviews like this so this has to be saying something. Try this app for yourself, use the referral system, you will love it!!!!

Food on demand can’t beat it... It’s always busy in the Bay Area also fast pay is a plus for drivers too now if a majority of merchants could actually have food prepared on time the customers would probably tip more and order more frequently from the same place......
Apartments and customer service 2/5
Have only used it once and was completely I satisfied with the ability to put in an apartment number. I tried to contact their customer service to let my driver know the code and apartment and I waited for 15 mins for a response which I never got (after being placed on a wait list). I eventually gave up and exited out. I ended up just texting my driver and letting her know.

More than 50% of my DoorDash orders get cancelled by the app, probably because nobody wants to waste their time driving for them. Sick of paying for food, waiting 30 minutes to find out my order won’t be delivered and just switching to UberEats. Uninstalled

I have had issues with this service almost every time I have tried it. The last time it took 2.5 hours to get a meal that I was told would take 30 minutes. When I tried to get information....good luck there is no customer service number to talk with. Horrible.

You can order, pickup, and eat about 4 times over before your food arrives. Once it arrives you’ll find that it’s been sitting out for an hour or two (however long it takes for it to be delivered). You’ll love soggy fries, cold pasta, and terrible watered down food. Oh... and your order may or may not be what you actually ordered. One star review, deleting the app. Great idea, terrible execution.

Please try ordering a veggie bowl from chipotle on this app. NOT POSSIBLE. You must choose “sofritas” (even if you don’t want that) and then they still charge you for guac when it come for FREE if you order a veggie bowl. SMH! Horrible app!!!!!
18% fee+delivery fee+tip??? 2/5
Holy sh#*. My order started at $100, but then there is tax, AN 18% “FEE”, A $5.99 delivery fee, plus tip. I’m fine with everything except the 18% fee. Unbelievable. I got no problem with a small fee and DoorDash making a buck, but $18 is ridiculous; especially on top of the delivery fee. Won’t be doing this again any time soon.

I started to work at Doordash almost two months ago, I can’t tell you how hard we work. I love it, I love my customers and is so sad to read reviews that put my job down, we do are best to have a good communication with are customer that you know you always be number one. Doordash gives you the opportunity that no one those, I am honest I am love with my job and I think them for this opportunity. I’ve used door dash twice and the first time the driver wasn’t even at the restaurant when the delivery was supposed to be made at my home. Then the driver took a little food from me for her troubles. The second time my order was completely wrong and DoorDash didn’t do a thing about it. The only reason why I used the service a second time is because I had a 10$ credit. Oh and if something ever goes wrong don’t ever expect your actalu money back. They told me that they were sending money back to my bank account and to no surprise the money never showed up. Terrible people here

I’ve had a few issues with Door Dash. The latest, which is why I’m writing this review, is that I placed an order and after waiting an hour for delivery, 4 mins after the “arrival time” I contact customer service. They tell me the driver decided to cancel. So after an hour of waiting for my food, I’m told it’s not coming and they reassign the order to another driver and give me a $5 credit. That’s unacceptable! Why is a delivery driver able to just cancel and me be stuck waiting and have to contact someone to have another driver take over. It’s ridiculous. Terrible system. And an insulting credit given. Give your money to a more reliable delivery app.

I ordered my food at 11:22 it’s currently almost 1 in the morning. DoorDash right told me my food would be in at 12:06. My food hasn’t arrived and it’s claiming it’s delivered. I had $7 in my account I’m hungry tired and broke and I just wanted some Jack in the Box, I’m so disappointed I got played. Uber eats here I come.

I never ever ever write reviews on an app unless I've had a terrible experience. Never will use this app again. Ordered a very simple pizza 0.5 miles from my home and was told it would take a max of 45 minutes to deliver. 2 hours I am still pizza-less with no notification of where my order was.
Contacted customer service and they were pretty helpful. After voicing my complaints I was able to get a full refend. The service was absolutely terrible for an order that should have been completed rather quickly. I'll never use this app again.

I’ve tried 3 times in the past 2 months to log in. Hit the forgot password button at least 6 times, every time it says it’ll send an email to reset and I never get it(and don’t say spam folder captain obvious)

Data base is not updated and order is automatically cancelled after 15 minutes of placing order from Rubios. No compensation made for making customers wait. Waiters and Grubhub do compensate upto 5$ for inconvenience. Deleting this app.

The first time I ordered off of door dash, it literally took about 40-50 minutes, and it would’ve been totally fine it my order wasn’t messed up but it was. So I decided to give it another shot and maybe have a better experience. NOPE, I ordered again from this place, and I kid you not, took about an hour from a restaurant that was literally two minutes away. When I got my order it was so wrong, things were missing and wrong things were in the bag. You would think the driver would check if the order was right. I called the driver so she could come pick up the food and pick up the right order from the restaurant. She told me she had nothing to do with it and that I had to talk to DoorDash. I HAD to drive to the place and fix my own order! So in the end I had to drive to the restaurant anyways, which is the whole point of the service so I waited an hour for a wrong order that to driver and pick up anyways. I paid delivery fees for nothing. Never again will I use doordash unless they reach out to me and make it right. Uber eats and Grubhub are much better and quicker
Horrible!! Waiting 40 minutes for food then get a call from door dash stating driver sat food on his seat and somehow the bag opened and the food rolled out on the floor. First of all the bags are always taped and placed inside of an insulated bag. So their solution was to have me wait 5-7 business days to get my $50 back!!! Um no it took two seconds to take my money why can’t I get my money back immediately!! I told her your driver is a liar and is now enjoying my food!!! I told her send the order in again and I will pick my food up of course she said that’s not an option. After yelling and threatening bad reviews she agreed and I picked my food up. But when I get to the restaurant they informed me that they have seen door dash employees eat out of customers bags, sit and talk on their cell phones while food is sitting and pretty much just be horrible all around. I won’t be ordering from them again.

Almost every order has had an issue and I’ve used Doordash on a weekly basis for a while now. It’s impossible to reach customer service who can actually find a solution to your issue. Just the other night, I placed an order for deliver that had a 49 minute delivery time. My order came 2 hours later and the food was cold. All I was compensated was $15 for an order that nobody ate. After 1 1/2 hours of waiting, I tried to cancel through the app and it was not an active option. Then after doing the live chat for support, the representative actually could not give me a reason as to why the food from a restaurant 15 minutes from my house was 2 hours late. The driver showed up and acted oblivious to the delay. Keep in mind, this is just my latest issue. Good luck if you use this app.

I have ordered from door dash on several occasions because I am now unable to drive. I decide to order again, opened the app and now Wendy's is the only restaurant listed. I had the choice of at least 50 other places before. I decided to give in because I am really hungry and there is a mapping error? Fine. I installed and reinstalled the app. Even made it a trusted app...nothing. It was hard enough already with the truncated menus. I can't find a link to support. Help!
