I’ve used this app 3 times. The app works great-5 stars. But the services are terrible. The first experience I had to get refunded because doordash sent their driver to the incorrect location of the restaurant and by the time the driver got to the actual address of the restaurant they were closed. The second order went fine. And this most recent has been terrible. I have a fussy baby so I was not in the mood to drive anywhere or cook dinner. The time the app gave me was 45 minutes and I received my order an hour and a half later. When I called to check on my order after I noticed the driver was heading in the opposite direction of me, the driver Ashley was very rude. When I finally received my order it was cold and the meat was tough. Definitely my mistake for ordering a steak to go but any other time I’ve ordered from this restaurant I’ve never had any issues when I personally pick up the food. I called the restaurant and explained what happened but since doordash is the middle man I had to take it up with them if I wanted a refund. But the manager assured me that my food was fresh when they driver picked it up and even he even asked “what the hell have they been doing all this time?”
So I call customer service, after waiting for 15 minutes, the first guy keeps trying to read off of a script instead of answering my questions and when I asked for a supervisor he hung up on me. The second person was a little more helpful but stated he was unable to refund my entire order simply because I received my food (that I am unable to even chew because it’s so cold and tough and now I can’t reorder because I’ve been given the run around for so long and the restaurant is now closed.) So in turn, I received a fraction of what I spent and a $5 credit to my next order (which I guarantee will never be used.) Hate to leave a bad review but it appears I’m not the only one with bad experiences. You’ve lost another custody doordash.

I ordered my food at 8:30pm. I called the DoorDash guy, he said that the card they gave him was declined and he just went about his business. They did not inform me about this at all, so I waited. At 10 pm I decided to order from postmates, and cancelled my order. They didn’t offer anything for the lack of service and waste of time. I was really excited for my food and then really disappointed, because the place I wanted food from is now closed. When I ordered food 2 hours before they closed. Just go through postmates, they know what they’re doing.

Dasher taking over 115% time projected to deliver 1/5
There needs to be a way for you to pick a new dasher after ordering as I watched the dasher sitting in a neighborhood for over 50 minutes after accepting my order- and then took another hour and 15 to pick up an order five minutes from their location. I am incredibly frustrated. If you project 35 minutes, and I call and confirm the order is ready at the restaurant- it should take over two hours for delivery- now the food isn’t fresh. Awful service. And clicking the “help” button in the app leads to an error code. App is up to date and this could be the last time it is used. Choose one of the other apps to deliver. Their customer service HAS to be better.

As a driver for DoorDash, I must say the company is amazing. To give insight to those who have complaints. when we receive your orders, it is our job to pick up your order and either place the order or pick up if ready. Most cases the preorder food, the restaurant have not prepared your meal, that’s when we the driver have to sit and wait. When the customer complain about the time, it effects the drivers but it’s beyond our control if we are waiting on your food. I have not met a driver yet who isn’t pleasant. We all share the same issues with waiting for orders and we do our best to contact our customers to update. However we understand the frustration but please understand if your order is late, your driver wasn’t the one preparing the food.

This was a solid service but recently they have such a shortage of drivers that recent orders are typically an hour or so late.
If you plan to use the app at all, would recommend using it to order from the restaurant and pick up yourself as long wait times render their customer service ineffective.

I was texted a link from a friend saying if I signed up for doordash I would receive $10 off my first order. Signed up through the link provided and did not receive a discount for the order that I just placed for $57. There was no promo code in my email I provided either.

This app is gold tbh but has some major issues with cost to users. I like the fact that you can use it and see the person delivering your food to know when they are close and communicate with them which helps to get your order right because that’s a major issue I have with other apps like seamless and Grubhub. The downside to the app is that you pay a delivery fee a service fee and then a tip. It basically doubles your orders price which makes ordering from places like fast food restaurants not even worth it.

I’m happy Door Dash became available around us, as it offers different & more restaurants (in our area) than competitors. My first order was great as the driver sent me a text update to let me know she was still waiting for order to complete. Again, she contact me when my preferred drink was out of stock. She got the right drinks too! For some reason many other drivers don’t pay attention & we end up with no drinks or diet drinks. My only dislike is that we’re forced to tip BEFORE delivery is completed. Yes, a tip can be an extra incentive, but I WANT to give a great driver a great tip... however, you never know what you’re going to get & most people will give a basic tip. I want more of my money to go to the hardworking & dedicated people... not just a basic tip so those who don’t check for complete orders, forget drinks, deliver cold food... get the same just to be “fair”. Let us show our appreciation for those amazing people!

We placed our first order today and we were missing 3 quesadillas and 2 steak tacos. I called Faby’s and they told me the person from DoorDash that called in our order called it in wrong??? Now I need to reorder these items, my kids need to wait 30 minutes to eat and I was charged another $2.55 plus they want me to tip again. Won’t be using this app again.

This app is a joke. Yea you can order from anywhere, just expect it to be cold by the time it arrives. I used grub hub to order the same exact thing from the same restaurant and there was almost a $6 difference in the total... Fee for this, fee for that, overinflated delivery charge..... Yea I’m all set.

I live in WA State. My mother lives in Napa, CA, and I signed up for Door Dash there so I could have food delivered to her in Napa. The first time I tried to use Door Dash, it wouldn’t accept my MasterCard. I input a Visa, it wouldn’t accept it, so I called the restaurant and picked the food up myself. Today I tried to figure out why the credit cards wouldn’t work. The “Help” screens were WORTHLESS! I finally found a phone number in the Terms & Conditions. I called, and was told that because the delivery address in Napa and the billing address is in WA State, it won’t go thru. Perfectly good credit cards. They lost my business forever.

Had two deliveries no show in a row. GPS sent them somewhere else even though my address was correct in my account. Did not save me anytime at all. Spent 15-20 on the phone between the two deliveries. So I ended up going to buy my food in person. Total let down.

I keep getting declined using my debit and credit cards unless I process my order through Apple Pay. I don’t like that, I never even used Apple Pay until this app forced me to do so and the declines do not show up when I call the bank. Not sure what the problem is but I’ll likely use a different app if the companies in my neighborhood use other ones.

Door dash is great! The only issue I have is that my food has gone cold a few times because I’m waiting even longer for my food since the dasher is picking up other orders after mine. Currently waiting on my food and it was picked up over 20 minutes ago! Cold food for the win!

Typically I never use door dash and I use postmates. However lately I’ve heard many good things about door dash so i decided to try it. I ordered it an hour and a half ago and it hasn’t even said the dasher is on its way. I contacted them and got no answer. There is no way to report the fact that the dasher has been doing nothing for an hour and a half and my family and i now have no food to eat and are at a loss for what to do
