Works perfectly! 5/5
By Crystal D.
This is one of the most used apps on my phone and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I never have any problems with lag time and patients answer quickly when they see the office number come up. A must have if you don’t want to share your private number or dial *67. The fax feature works well too.
An application error has occurred 3/5
I use this dialer all the time but since it switched to being within the app, I get a recording that “An application error has occurred. “ I checked the FAQs and made sure my settings are correct. They also do not make it clear if we should delete the former dialer app. I deleted mine since I figure we are supposed to go through the Doximity app now. Frustrating.
It works. 5/5
It does what it says it does. I’ve had no problems or regrets.
Inappropriate credentials necessary 1/5
I can’t believe this app is not available to psychologists. Just another way PhD level providers in hospitals are discriminated against and treated as “lesser”.
Not all clinicians can use 1/5
By Not an MD
This app does not allow all clinicians to use. I have to call patients all the time outside of the clinic but because I am not an MD, NP, PA or Pharmacist, I am unable to use it.
Love this app, maintains my privacy 5/5
I have been using this app for a couple of years and absolutely love it. I have never had a problem with it, calls go straight through, and patients answer. I work in a micro practice and there’s no phone at my desk so this app saves me time and energy.
Great app for making calls 5/5
Used to work great. Now it rings once and then goes silent and wont complete calls. Sometimes redialing will work, other times I can redial multiple times with the same problem.
Update Feb 2018: Issues seem to have been resolved by developer. Has been working great without connection issue over the last 6 weeks. Great app.

App currently unusable for me
Not sure why some people have problems 5/5
By R2 me2
I have used this App multiple times, and so far I have not been plagued with connection problems or high lag times. The developer’s responses here seem to indicate that they work hard to fix any issues that come up.
Personally I would never call a patient outside of the office any other way!! Do you really want any and every patient that you call to have your cell phone number? Sure you can use *67 - but even I won’t answer calls that aren’t identified. This offers a very elegant solution. You can add multiple “from” numbers - so I have my office and a the hospital’s main number stored in the system.
I am trying to work on a way for it to say “The Whitehouse” or “Donald Trump” is calling. If anyone has those numbers, drop me an email! Thanks in advance.
Delay makes it unusable:-( 2/5
This service is much needed and a great thing. The issue is when you are talking to a patient, the delay is about 5 full seconds, making any conversation very awkward. Unfortunately at this point, I’m looking for another option.
Works half the time 2/5
I use it regularly and used to work great but recently whenever I make a call I get an error message that states that it is “no longer configured to reach the intended destination” and I have to dial again for it to work correctly. Annoying to say the least.
Great idea, not so great service 2/5
I've found this wonderful idea not to work as seamless as you want it to work. Long lag times has made the service unusable for me. Hope they address the issue.
Better than nothing 2/5
It does work, gives your office number as the calling number when you call, but there is a good 2-3 second delay when talking which is just awkward. If not for that, it would be a 5 star!
Not available for all healthcare providers 1/5
By Jon Deaux
Dialer app is good in theory, but it is limited to select entities in healthcare. Company did not appear to be interested in expanding their network to more healthcare professionals.
Works great 5/5
Shows the office number when I call from my cell phone and the patients answer right away.
This is such a badly needed app! It is great for those times you need to get a hold of a patient or patient family member and don't want your personal cell phone # released. It comes up as the number you prefer (office/work) instead of "unknown caller" as it would with *67. Thank you Doximity!
Amazing app. Love it. Everyone in our office is using now. It saves us so much time then routing through the hospital. Thank you for such a useful amazing product!!
Provided a lot of info and then was told I'm not eligible 1/5
By missoula psychologist
Doximity dialer quickly found my info. as a licensed psychologist and then asked me to verify details about myself and create a profile, password, etc.. After all of that, it then indicated that it was not available to psychologists. Waste of time.
Just what I needed 5/5
By Fried chicken and taters
What a great idea. Excellent product .finally a solution to what was a pain in the as.
Works Great 5/5
Simple app. Not much more to say. Works as you would expect. Nice ability to save multiple numbers since I work at multiple hospitals.
I loved it 5/5
Now it doesn't work. Please fix the Dialer. It was a wonderful tool. I miss it and so do my colleagues.
Wasted my time 1/5
The app initially asked what kind of practioner i was. I entered in dentist. Then it took me through full registration questions which took a little while to fill out. When i finally submitted my registration it told me that it did not support dentists at this time.
Off hours game changer! 5/5
I know we all want Togo home and never be bothered but when you need a masked call from your own phone, this is sooooooo useful! I love it! Join doximity if not just for this!
Superb Productivity Tool!!! 5/5
This app is just plain marvelous! I often make phone calls to patients while doing other things, and before this app I would write numbers on sticky notes and call, but I always used *67 to avoid giving out my cell number via caller ID. The problem is that patients often won't answer if there is no caller ID listed. This app solves that problem, by now making it look like I'm calling from the main office number. Truly a great tool to make me connect with patients more easily. I love it and I now include this app among my iPhone page of "medical apps." Thanks for making this excellent product and please continue to support it and keep it going.
Works as advertised 5/5
I just started using this today after starting call with a new group where we respond to "mommy pages." I was tired of dialing *67 then having to leave a message telling parents I would call again and to answer the blocked call.
The Dialer is very straightforward to use and the call quality is just like your normal phone. It automatically used my clinic phone number from my Doximity profile but you can also input a different number to display to patients. The patients are answering on the first try now instead of screening the blocked call.
I'm sharing it with the residents and others in the group now because it works so smoothly.
Like it 5/5
When you dial your #, a different shows on screen but your call goes to the # you dialed.. so I was confused at first... the developer shot me a email... I tried app again and I really like this app
New upgrade made it useless 2/5
By VIP Amex
In the last few weeks when I go to call someone with this app, it requests that I call the 415-358-2876. It used to work for calling patients after hours on my cell, sad to c such a great app fail:(
Not medical grade reliability 2/5
App has been very unreliable. Getting error connecting to the server all the time. Even when it connects to the server many calls fail. The concept is quite useful but execution seems lacking.
Works like a charm. No more blocked call denials - and my mobile number stays private. Also nice that the patient's recent call log will show my office number should they need to call back to have me paged/messaged.
Doximity actually makes useful apps for MDs that should've been available years ago.
great app, but one suggestion 5/5
Update: after downloading recent Iphone update, when you punch in the patients number, instead of dialing it right away, the app shows a little popup with (415) area code and you have to press call. Could you please get rid of this unnecessary step?
I am using it every day to call my patients when I am not in the office.
I wish they can make the numbers on a dial "click" like they do on the regular I-phone dial.
Good App but... 4/5
I would love to see a text feature added. Let's bring this app into the 21st Century!
This would have been so useful to have had when I was in private practice & needed to call pts but didn't want the hassle of going through the operator. Our phone system went out Fri in my current practice and it was full steam ahead w/ DD! Super for calling pts who don't accept calls from blocked #s (all outbound calls st my current practice are blocked)
Reach patients and maintain privacy 5/5
Love this app! The fact that I can use this app to call patients without *67 makes being on-call so much easier. Patients see the caller ID of the office, a number they recognize and I don't reveal my personal cell phone number. I no longer risk getting a patient whose phone will not receive a blocked number. This is a must for all physicians who unfortunately have to be on-call.
Can call back patient without hesitation 5/5
By Gigi 😎😜
Finally! The rare times I've given out my number have never gone well for me
But I want to call patients liberally and take care of them at my convenience. This is a great solution.
Thanks! Great app. Used to *67 but pts would not pick up. With this it's like I'm dialing from my office. Works perfectly and have never had any issues
LOVE THIS APP!!! 5/5
Finally, patients answer without having to dial*67 first. No way I want some of them having 24/7 access to my cell. Thanks guys! GREAT APP!!!!
By U WILL C
Works great. Simply brilliant.
App would not let me use it as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon 1/5
By OMFS doc
App would not let me use it as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon . It says only physicians, np, and pa can utilize it. I would love to use this. Can anyone offer assistance? Thank you
Works great for me...
Works perfectly 5/5
Simple system that works great for oncall calls.
Doesn't work 1/5
Great idea but doesn't work. I keep getting an "unknown error" message.
Just as advertised 5/5
For the person that said his personal number showed up on the caller ID. You have to add the number you want to show up on the caller ID, don't use your personal number. I added my office phone number and called my husband to see if it worked and it worked like a charm.
Great app 5/5
Love it. Doximity is making Doctor's lives easier and easier.
Great idea poor execution 1/5
By Artful Dodger 2
Will not let me dial unless I use my cell phone number as caller i'd. Duh, isn't that what I don't want to happen! More work guys
Can't pass phone entry screen 1/5
The numbers pad blocks the button underneath. Can't pass phone entry screen. App is unusable.
Handy app 4/5
Great app, very useful for on call or on the go docs. Works well.
One nice addition would be the ability to copy & paste phone numbers. Like many docs, I get on call messages via text now. Would love to be able to copy & paste the phone number into Doximity Dialer. Would raise my rating to 5 stars with this feature.
Would also love to add the ability to one way text. Many on call messages are simple refill requests. Would love to send these patients a brief text message "request received, refill called in to pharm, call back if any further questions"
Wow. This simple app solves a major problem that I've had. Now I can call patients back on weekend and at night without them seeing a blocked # (in which case they don't pickup... or don't even allow me to call), or have to show my personal cell #. So smart!
It works 5/5
Works as advertised. Haven't had a single problem in 2 months of regular use.
Brilliant idea, works great! 5/5
No more "does not accept blocked number" issues when calling patients from my personal line.
