Display design was created by a banjo player who understands the common struggles that musicians encounter when they first pick up a banjo. A simple drop-down menu allows the users to choose the chord. The resulting display shows the strings and corresponding frets in table form that you’ll need to strike a perfect major, minor, or seventh chord. The chords are for a 5-string banjo using open G tuning (G-DGBD). The strings are denoted as first, second, third and fourth with the first being closest to the ground. An open fret is denoted by 0. The user will not need extensive musical training or extreme familiarity with this instrument. Practice the chords that appear often in bluegrass and other genres, test your knowledge, and have fun getting to know this friendly instrument!
