    I have automatic renewal however the app won’t download new issues. It does not recognize my account and Apple is of no help. Instead I’m directed to contact the app developer- and there is no information on who to contact! Extremely frustrating especially since the app worked fine for years before recent updates.

    The EW magazine and site is not visually accessible (small font and poor contrast that does not meet recommendations for those with even those who may need reading glasses) and the website only allows you to buy digital copies even though you have a magazine subscription. The third party vendor assisting with questions also has an robot helpdesk that does not allow you to type in questions - the keyboard feature does not work so you can not type in a live reply.

    What’s wrong with this publication. Only 18 issues so far this year. I get more entertainment news free off the internet than your sporadic rag. When are you going to change the title to entertainment sometimes bi-monthly or less. You haven’t been weekly for years.

    Account number is no longer recognized and I get a message to contact customer service which is impossible. No longer links my email and subscription so can’t log in that way either. Ready to dump the whole subscription Update - was contacted by someone from the app and they were able to fix the issue from their end.

    I’m very frustrated. I’m still not getting my magazines. I’ve tried deleting the app, restoring my purchases, and the list goes on. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I spend too much money on this digital subscription to not get my downloads.

    I have been a loyal subscriber to this for over 30 years and lately this application is testing my patience. I cannot receive the latest issues, even after syncing, restoring my issues and I went as far as deleting the app and reinstalling it. When I called customer service, no one could seem to address my issues and even went as far as telling me that my subscription had been cancelled, but could not even give me a answer on why. I did figure out that it had not been cancelled, which made more more upset that I was lied to. Once I was finally told that it was going to a month to month basis, did I get the August issue. I received a alert telling me that the September issue is available on Friday and as of today, still no issue on my iPad. I love reading this, but I am to the point of canceling my subscription and will get my entertainment news else where. If anyone can fix/address this issue, then I will keep my subscription, but it needs to be addressed quickly. Send help!

    New format is horrible, and impossible to read. The layout is atrocious, and now they're going to one monthly issue. I like Entertainment Weekly, as in every week. As a lifelong reader (I still have issue 1), this is kind of crushing. I look forward to my weekly read of the issue, where I plan what to watch on tv for the week, what books to check out, movies to see. It's always sad watching a magazine you have loved for decades die. And that's exactly where this is going. Monthly magazines are sad. Edit: got a thank you from the developer for this review and they’re glad I’m enjoying using the app. Good to know they’re complete tools.

    When it’s Entertainment Weekly... er... MONTHLY! Seriously guys, I have no interest in reading month-old news. Film, television, music, books, theatre - so much is going to be lost in a monthly format, like topicality. You’ve lost sight of your mission. I give it two years (though likely less) before you fold entirely. Shame.

    The new update increased photo resolution, which had been sacrificed previously to facilitate faster downloads. Now we get both. I’ve been a EW subscriber for about 30 years, and switched to digital when it was first available.

    I stopped receiving this magazine on July 5. I deleted and reinstalled the app but when I tried to restore purchases it says: error syncing library. Tried to reach out to Entertainment Weekly but was denied any assistance. They blamed it on iTunes - sorry it is not their fault. Zinno is a horrible provider. Have deleted several of their apps and this one is next. Will not be renewing.

    One of my favorite features of this app was that I could download issues and read them on a plane. Now you have to be connected to the internet to access content, so you can no longer do this. :(

    Just subscribed for EW and signed up on my iPad and I couldn’t get the new issues on iPad and it doesn’t work and the sync is not working and I keep trying and trying again it nothing happens.

    I too am trapped in the land of not being able to read my purchases. You have ONE JOB. To deliver reading material. You’re not doing it; the MANY reviews here show that off. Fix your app. I know your app shell is based on Zinio and its working just fine. Do what they’re doing.

    I have been a long time subscriber and never had a major issue accessing the app. Sadly that is no longer the case. Like many reviews before mine, I can no longer log in the app using my email address or account number. The app even says my account does not exists yet I can log into the website. Very frustrated.

    3 new issues and I can’t read them. Good thing I get a copy mailed. It keeps telling me that I can preview the issue or buy it! I have a print and digital subscription. I have logged out and back in, deleted the app and downloaded it, synced stuff and still this issue. Please fix this! I thought it would be after the previous update but nope. Ugh. EW I am slowly losing faith in you.

    Every time there’s an update with this app it deletes your previous purchase history and then it asks you to log back in and it doesn’t recognize your email address you can’t even login with your account number, it doesn’t recognize it or anything else I had to sign in as a new user and now I cannot get into any of my old purchases I’ve called customer service and no response for anybody can help me I want my money back

    It only took 3 weeks and numerous calls to uninformed telephone supporters techs, before I could finally login and get access to my magazines on the app. I am very tech friendly and this was not easy. But, here's an even bigger issue. It turns out Entertainment "Weekly" is really Entertainment Bi-Weekly. Apparently there is no more pretense of a weekly publication. When does the name officially change.

    Like everyone else, I can’t get the newest issues even though I’m a subscriber. Asked to pay for it. Logged out and back in but no change. There has always been a delay from when it first shows up but this is ridiculous. Been waiting two weeks for latest issue.

    This app deserves zero stars - or negative stars, if that was an option. I have been a print/digital subscriber for years. Before the developers changed this app I could access all past and present issues - for which I have already paid. Now, I can’t access any digital issues unless I am willing to pay for those issues - AGAIN. This is unacceptable and may be a violation of consumer protection laws. And even if it isn’t, the failure of the magazine and developer to address this issue after multiple reviews reporting the SAME problem shows complete disregard - and disrespect - to customers. Apple should insist that this app be fixed or removed from the App Store. Frankly, Entertainment Weekly and Apple should be embarrassed that this has been allowed to carry on for as long as it has.

    I am a print and digital subscriber and app will not allow me to download May 17 issue it only gives me the option to purchase. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and I have logged out/ back in and still only option is to purchase. I have already received the print copy .lease fix

    I’ve been trying for 3 days to login through the iPad app and 1st it doesn’t recognize my email or password. It was working for the longest time, but not now. Deleted the app and reloaded it, tried logging in again. Still no go. So I changed my password and tried to login again with my email & new password and still no go. Tried signing in with the acct. # and after few minutes I get We are currently experiencing some problems. Please try again. Tried again on 2 separate days with signing in with my acct. # and still get the We are experiencing some problem message. I’m done fighting with the app. I’ll just go back to reading the magazine the old fashion way. It’s a good thing I still get the print version of the magazine.

    I have used the EW app for a long time so I can read my issues when traveling. Now I can’t log in or access anything. This app is terrible. I’ve been an EW subscriber for years and this is enough to make me drop my subscription. Ridiculous. UPDATE - things seem to be fixed. Customer service is pretty good but considering all the concerns, I think they should just fix the app!

    If everyone has the same error logging into app, why is update not being distributed? Same prob as other where logging in to app does not give access to my subscription to EW. Library empty, syncing doesn’t help, restore doesn’t help, logging in with acct num doesn’t help. Typical response so not really expecting an answer but trying anyway.

    I paid for a full year and the app doesn’t recognize it every 3rd issue. I tried to find customer service through the app and that too doesn’t exist. I will figure it out, but I’m dome with these horrible apps that are supposed to be easier and useful. Tried to open the most current issue and its trying to charge me. I want a refund for my subscription.

    I can’t seem to access any of my issues. I’m a subscriber and it keeps asking me to either purchase or start a free trial. Read other reviews on here and have tried what the developer has suggested of choosing the print/digital subscription and logging in with my email or account number. Logged in with my email and I have nothing in my library and I either have to purchase or try a free trial. I tried logging in with my account number and just trying to figure out where in the magazine my account number is located was a chore on its own. I basically had to go to the EW website to look it up. Once I found my account number, I tried using it to log into the iPad app and of course i got an error message saying it couldn’t log me in at this time. Reading the number of recent 1 star reviews on here and all pointing out the same issues, this app is absolutely garbage. I’ll give a better a review once the developer fixes the app.

    The option is show in iTunes, but the only thing I can see is purchasing a single issue for $4.99 which I'm not interested in. It didn't use to be this hard to get a frigging magazine!
