You guys have ruined the app to find receipts and attaching them to expenses.

I travel quite a bit for my company and would collect receipts in my wallet and scan each one for my expense report. It is a hassle. But then I discovered Expensify. It totally simplified the entire process. I take a picture of my receipt using the App and Expensify does everything else. It categorizes my expense and puts it in a report along with a picture of my receipt. I just email myself a PDF at the end of my trip. The App does all of the organizing for me! It really is amazing and I’m so glad I discovered it!

Terrible non functioning app. Takes forever to download a receipt. Cannot validate my email. Annoying pop up over and over again saying validate email. When you check your email it won’t allow you to validate. Do not waste your time.

This app is just getting better and better. Now my next request is that I can sort expenses by tags in the app. This would help my Workflow if I can sort by tags inside of this app.

Wow... After years of wasted hour upon hour putting together expense reports, here is Expensify giving me my life back! I'm a transplant from Shoeboxed. I'd tried Expensify earlier and it wasn't up to snuff, but in the meantime I think Ecoensify has been spying on my feature requests to Shoeboxed and fulfilling them.
So here's my request to Expensify: Please let me see tags, and details on reports on iOS so I can better finish expense reports while on iOS.
I would never recommend this to another company.

I like the convenience but the app takes forever while “scanning”. There’s clearly something wrong with the programming. Takes many minutes for a single receipt to scan. Leaves user wondering if expense has been recorded and processed.

Have had issues for over a month syncing with Bank of America, and Expensify has zero urgency around this issue. For shame, Expensify. For shame.

When you have a question there is no one to speak with and no quick responses
This has to be the slowest app I’ve ever experienced. No loading indicators either, so I frequently get “please wait for this expense to sync before editing“ errors.

Please fix your app. I have to use this for expenses. Currently, you seem to have a lot of bugs. Receipt uploads are really slow. Sometimes things don’t save properly. Long story short...I really miss Concur now.

New update - it’s difficult to rename an Expense Report. Also with the new update, you have to take an extra step to categorize the expense - which is a pain.

Expensify has made my life and the operation of our small business so much easier. It’s helped our staff to stay on top of expenses, receipts and reporting but allowed them so much time to focus on their jobs. Love it!

Saving of expenses and reports has been buggy and smart San fails about 50% of the time.
Every time I enter my report name it reverts back to ‘New Report.’

I really like this app for my business needs. I am not sure about the last update splitting the expense info into a 2 screen process on my iPhone. It is now taking more time to record an expense. Also, I do not assign my expenses to a report until the eom, so now I need to go into my expense for some info, select another tab to assign the report....ideally if I could configure the view to my own needs, would solve everything

The Smartscanning operation is slow. In fact, I never use it. Recently even without Smartscanning, my receipts are taking a good bit of time to upload. But I love the ease of tracking, recording & reporting expenses. I have been recommending the app to my peers.

Smartscan is super slow and is unable to upload info most of the time.
So easy to use and saves hours compared to using a spreadsheet! All I do is take a picture of every receipt and Expensify logs the name, amount and category. My assistant logs into the website and prints the report. Done!!!
Would be better if there was a way for me to recreate an expense from a template with just a single click.
Smartscan doesn’t work 4/5
I’ve taken perfectly clear pictures of very well printed receipts and have had smartscan going for hours without success. I’ve asked for help and just got back a firm response saying to keep doing what I’ve already been doing. I don’t have hours to input even one receipt more or less several.
After two scripted responses from the developer, that really weren’t any help, I discovered that the best way to handle a receipt is to take a picture of the receipt and immediately save it. After awhile you’ll get a notification that the receipt was scanned and whether it was accepted or if there was a violation that needs to be dealt with. This discovery raises my score from a 1 star to a 4 star rating.
GPS does not always follow and lags 1/5
Sometimes it says the mileage but it’s 5+ miles short then after a minute or so it gets higher then another minute a little higher. I always have to map first to ensure it’s correct.

I give it five stars despite the fact that QuickBooks integration has not been as seamless as we were led to believe. Four months later we are still having issues and the only answers we can get from the company are are via email or canned FAQs.
A dedicated helpline, even if it costs a premium for the customer, would be a worthwhile investment for the company.
Expensify has an opportunity to completely own this market. But they fail with poor backward compatibility, very inconsistent UX between web and mobile and overall bad administrative management. I will say that customer service, via email, has been very good.

I travel 3-4 weeks a month. Admin is my worst nightmare. However, Expensify has truly made it enjoyable. Once I get past my own stupid laziness and actually take pics of all my receipts, this app is incredible! Stop whining, complaining and procrastinating. Use the app. Do it! You’ll be glad you did. So will your accounting manager at your office.

Need to be able to delete expenses from “trash”. (Delete them for good).
When adding card, should be able to limit import of items so it’s not grabbing months of previous transactions that may not be needed.

From Scammers to a great Customer Service 5/5
Those guys really care about their customers. After mentioned that was disappointed with it, they called, emailed me trying to fix it. Even though I never answered, I know they want to help me for real. See above my first angry post.

Thought I'd check out this app to get a little more organized. I didn't realize it would charge me a fee after a trial period. I never ended up using the app, now I'm trying to delete the account and it won't let me until I pay them 5$! When I asked about this they sent instructions to "downgrade" my account to a free account. Sounds simple, just click on a link in my inbox, but the link doesn't exist in my inbox and it's impossible to get any help from the "concierge". I've tried it twice today. Wish I never downloaded this app.

This app used to be perfect for small business to efficiently and easily track and submit expenses. Now it’s a cluttered mess with expense reports almost being easier to do manually.
- Smartscan doesn’t work and is slow
- They want to activate the camera for any screenshot receipt. It couldn’t be more annoying looking like you’re taking pictures when trying to do an expense report.
- website serious lacks features
- the help doesn’t exist. They try and push some bot concierge to answer questions which never makes any sense
I could go on, but basically look elsewhere. This used to be a great service, but it’s painful now.
