You are only allowed to spend rewards on a short list of movies that Fandango chooses for you to pick from. I had another movie in mind but it wasn’t on their list!
Then another problem is they only give you 21 days to spend your rewards. I’m not falling for their gimmick anymore.

App works great but I’m giving it three stars for the “free offers” that I have to decline in order to see my tickets. If it was a free app I would understand but when you pay a convenience fee that’s not very convenient.

I go to see a movie with my friends, I buy the ticket and go to the scanner. However I’m not old enough to see the movie so I go, ok I’ll just exchange it. And guess what, it’s 3 minutes after show time so I can’t. I call support and they don’t help at all they just keep in repeating the same thing over and over again, “Sir we cannot process the refund since it is past movie time.” Needless to say, I will be using a different service from now on.

I will NEVER buy tickets through this app again. They have a very rigid no refund policy, no matter the circumstances. As a business owner, sometimes you have to be flexible and understanding of your customers request for a refund, especially when your business can be faulted for contributing to the issue at hand. I was able to purchase 2 children’s tickets to a R rated movie. This was for an animated movie. So as a parent, I admit that I wrongly assumed it was at worst going to be PG-13. But at no point in time did Fandangos app give me any warning that I am about to purchase Childrens tickets for a R rated movie! This is 100% a fault with Fandagos purchasing system and needs to be corrected asap! There should be some sort of disclosure that pops up that this purchase is for an R-rated movie and that the purchase of an adult ticket is at least required to proceed!!! Not to mention the actual rating for the movie could hardly be found anywhere on any of the listings for the movie within the app!!! I have screenshots of the listings and there is NO rating listed anywhere to be seen!! Long story short, I bring my teenagers to the theater and they are denied entry. And Fandango took my money and would not refund me! Blamed me for essentially not doing my due diligence as a parent but took zero accountability for the fact that I was able to purchase these two children’s tickets without an unaccompanied adult ticket for an R rated animated movie and that the rating was nowhere to be seen! No-one was able to see the movie with these tickets so a refund should have been honored!! Horrible business model!

Asks for my password. Put it in. It is wrong. Try to reset password but won’t send me a link to my email. Funny thing is… when I check out as a guest, I get an email confirmation right away. Must not want me to get my points? Anyway. Fix it and I’ll give it a 5.

I used to be able to check out where & when a movie was playing near me. Now it won’t do anything unless I give it my email to “notify” me when I can buy tickets!!?? What the? I don’t want to give my email address.

Fandengo used to be my go-to for movie tickets. Since the last update, I am no longer able to favorite movies. I enjoyed being able to look at a list of movies coming out for the year, favorite them & get notified when they have tickets available. However, there isn’t much of a point in using the app anymore if I can’t save the movies I want to watch.

Your app took us to a theater 500 miles away from our actual location. We could not use those tickets and actually repurchased tickets on your site. When customer service was contacted we were met with someone with not so good English and a attitude. When we requested a manager the rep I believe her name is Maria debated on why and how long it would take to get a manager. She then placed us on hold for several minutes then picked the phone back up posing as a manager. Half way through the complaint she hung the phone up. I have never met such ignorance when we’re the ones who has lost funds and time dealing with your site. We will never use this platform again and encourage everyone we know to do the same. Lastly the manager at the movie theater stated “this happens a lot with fandango, we encourage people not to use it because the purchase is out of our hands” this is obviously a flaw and I’m sure thousands if not millions have been stolen from people. However your policy is good luck next time. Never again!

Thank you for an easy experience that is intuitive and doesn't crash.

I buy tickets, get VIP points to use towards purchasing tickets, but it’s never for movies I want to see. How you gonna give me $5 to use, but I can only see movies you choose? Let me choose my movies!
Also if you pick seats, but exit to check another showing, the seats you just picked will be greyed out. What’s up with that!? Can’t you match it to my prior session? I’ve missed out on good seats because of this.

The mobile app is definitely easy to use for finding a show in your area. Unfortunately, their connection to Marcus Theaters “magic” accounts never works and you get socked with extra fees every time. False advertising!

Overall an OK experience, I would’ve preferred to sign up with Apple instead of using a normal sign up. It was slightly inconvenient that when I try to use auto fill on my password, the app went back to the loading screen in the password never prefilled.
