I have had numerous bad experiences with favor and their drivers. They don’t show up, don’t answer, then credit your account so you want to use them again but it doesn’t even credit your account. They are rude, delayed with response and OVERCHARGE. Use any service but them: ubereats, Postmates, grubhub.

All of these delivery app models are missing one thing universally. Elasticity in their delivery area.
I don’t live on the moon or in the back wooded areas of Austin, but i would pay and tip well if at least one of these services would travel to my area and provide something I was in the mood for. Delivery timeline wouldn’t be an issue if it was a little longer than normal based on geography.
Hell, I’d prolly invite them in for a beer for doing me a solid.
The favor runners seem to get paid well from the ads I saw, so why not become a the first in this market to improve your service range?

What a joke of a company and app. We Ordered two hours ago. There’s no way on the app you can actually call or check in or see exactly how much they jack the price up or where your order is. Then as you watch the time tick by and you know the restaurant is closing, I called to see if any app orders have been put in place and nothing had been. Then you can just cancel the order because time has run out. You call and no one answers. Joke app don’t ever use.

The app itself is not bad. If you don’t have time to go get lunch. It’s going to be good for you. I just hope you don’t get extra charges on your card like me.
I’ve sent 3 e-mails on the course of 1 week. Not one has been replied. I can’t take my credit card off the server. Can’t cancel my account. And the only way to contact them is via e-mail... which hasn’t done any good for me so far. So... what else can I do?

The wait times are always ridiculous. Every time I’ve ordered food it takes and hour and a half two hours to receive my food. The drivers always forget items even after the specifically agree to grab those items. I will never use this application again and it’s also overpriced for delivery charges. They don’t show you how much your order is until after it’s delivered.

We ordered Texas Land & Cattle in SA, TX. Received 2 hours after order, and missing salads. Customer service (reached via call back 15 min later) asserted drivers aren’t “food handlers” and therefore can’t check order. When I asked why vendor can’t check order for driver, got lame denial of no responsibility. Why would I continue to use Favor if they can’t confirm the order has been accurately filled? HEB better step it up. Favor is about to lose another customer.

Warning: You look at the prices of the food and you think it’s reasonable so you order. Then they charge you a $15 delivery fee, some other charge for $1 and some change THEN you HAVE TO tip the driver after they already charged a RIDICULOUS amount for the delivery fee and it has to be at least $2. By the way, you don’t find out the full price until the driver has already picked up your food and en route to you! Save yourself the trouble.

We NEVER received ANY of the order.....NO copy of the receipt.....there was NO attempt to even try and deliver the order but yet they charged my card for almost $40 which is RIDICULOUS given that the cost was not even $15. These people are thieves!!!! Most recently, the runner just chose what to purchase and charged me. We also had a runner purchase himself something to eat, sat and ate the food, then started our delivery.....did I mention that he charged his food to our order which charged my card?!?!?! There is ZERO accountability with these people!!!!

I have used favor for quite some time and have referred many people but I will never do so again . They were minor issues in the past like poor food quality or the runner forgetting something but they always did their best to fix it... until I ordered wings from hooters that had FEATHERS ON THEM. Favor refused to refund my order even though the food was inedible stating that it was hooters fault.. I could request a refund from hooters because my runner did not take a picture of the full receipt. NO ONE WANTED TO HELP ME so finally I cancelled the transaction through my back and what did they do ? SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT!! NO ONE EVER RESPONDS FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY COMPANY EVER !!!!

I have been trying to get a response from Favor for 10 days. My order was cancelled and then the delivery showed up anyway, after I had already placed a new order. Pretty fair request to get a refund for one order but they are not even responding to me. It’s very frustrating.

First time using it. The delivery lady had a question saying that the cheese brand I wanted wasn't available. She was able to PM and send a picture which gave me more freedom to choose the next best option of cheese I'd like. Use promo code for $5 off for first order only when you pay for items.

Ridiculous amount of notifications they send you to buy food from them. And there is no way to turn it off in app. Deleted and won’t use this. At least DoorDash and Uber eats won’t bombard you trying to get you to use their service.

About 2% of runners provide great customer service. They text you letting you know they got your order and ask if you want to add anything else and get to you in a timely manner. The other 98% never speak a word to you and just hand you your food at the door. My food takes so long some times it’s actually cold by the time I get it. All this and I don’t have to option to not leave a tip? Yeah I’ll pass. I gave them a fair number of tries and they have lost my business.

I’ve really enjoyed using Favor when I’ve been on an extreme time crunch and/or have to work late. Couriers/drivers are always so friendly and the accuracy of my orders are spot on in comparison to other food delivery apps that I’ve used (Postmates). Thanks Favor for being awesome!

do not get this app. A $5 meal will turn into $26. Everytime you order they don’t tell you the total. they usually charge $9 for delivery and REQUIRE a tip (minimum of $2) even if you have awful service. Basically once you order, you don’t know how much you’ll be paying till the runner has the food in hand-and you can’t cancel it. On top of all of this, I have never ONCE had a fast runner. for some reason they are always far away and take about an hour. TRASH APP

I have officially moved to uber eats after being a die hard favor fan for a couple of years. The wait time for simple orders is beyond ridiculous. I waited an hour and a half for an order, and the majority of that time was my runner going to the store. Was he running other favors ahead of mine? Or was he just nearly an hour away from my store (less than 3 miles from my house). Additionally, I had an order cancelled because my runner took so long that the restaurant had CLOSED by the time she got there. That, and my runners have stopped contacting me like used to be the norm to check in and give me updates. It was once great and it’s just gone so downhill recently. I’m disappointed.

I ordered from this app which charged me $24, 3 times my order of $8. Then states my food would arrive at my house by 2:35, literally 20 minutes later had to contact the driver and ask where my order was, who then stated it would be another 10 mins to arrive. The place I ordered from is only a few minutes from my house, and when I confronted the delivery guy he stated that he took multiple orders at a time and I would have to wait.

I never used these food delivery apps because I didn’t want to spend so much extra money of food I shouldn’t be eating anyways. But a friend told me about this app and the fee was only $3 if it’s close. So I tried it and it worked out well, I got my food and they left immediately after handing it to me. I didn’t need to sign anything and give them a tip. I should have known better. It wasn’t until the second time I ordered and me checking my phone for some other reason, I saw the already opened Favor app and saw I was on the payment screen. I didn’t notice this the first time. My $20 meal was $35 dollars. How is there a $15 delivery fee. Who would ever pay almost as much as the food costs in delivery fees? I noticed that they auto filled out a tip line for $6. What? I don’t think so, the driver wasn’t the best but there wasn’t an issue with the food so whatever. I was going to take the tip off just to see how much the delivery fees alone would be, and you can’t lower the tip below $2. The app prevents you from tipping below what they think is morally correct. If the driver took 5 hours, spit in your face, and told you to ‘f*** off!’, you’d still have to tip that driver. That’s highly illegal to for customers to tip. There is no law that says businesses can force customers to tip for services. This app is gone, and next a phone call to the BBB. I always leave a tip unless you try to take one from me. Forcing me to pay one is a whole new level.

I don’t like that you don’t see the delivery fees, the total order price or the fact that you are REQUIRED to tip the driver even when they give you inaccurate delivery times. It took an hour to get three tacos from a restaurant 5 minutes away. Not only that, but an $8 order ended up being $20 with all the added (hidden) fees.
It is unethical and a bad business model to not display fees before a customer commits to an order. Delivery fees should be clearly displayed BEFORE you submit your order. Being shady and elusive about your prices is why I will only be a one time favor user and this business model will not last in a world that’s becoming ever more demanding of transparency.

I like FAVOR as my food delivery service The drivers are nice and I really like live the text updates from the drivers!!! My suggestion would be to make sure the drivers always grab condiments from the restaurants AND APP DEVELOPER MAKE SURE THE MENU ON THE APP HAS DETAILS OF ITEMS BEING ORDERED
Changing Rates and Mandatory Driver Tip 3/5
I loved favor at first, but have grown tired of the rate increases. I also don’t like that you MUST tip runners $2 or more. I have had bad runners FOUR TIMES IN A ROW; messing up the order, not updating at ALL, or not checking the bag before leaving the restaurant so I am charged for items I did not receive. These runners don’t deserve the $2. I tip at least $6 to drivers as long as they don’t mess up, but the past FOUR times the runners have been nightmares and I don’t want to tip them. Very unfair in my opinion. Will be checking out UberEats next time.
