Lots of useful phrases, formal and informal, arranged logically and written and spoken clearly. Thank you, Fiat!
A search function would be a handy addition.

I don't see why is every one giving a five star when the audio function doesnt work! I could just download a free dictionary and have the entire language.
nice helpful app 5/5
Used this on a recent trip to Italy and found it very helpful. Easy access to simple phrases and a nice overview of food words. Thanks Fiat!

Very good Italian App 5/5
Of the various free Italian apps out there, this one seems to have the most words and the best interface of them all. This is app is highly recommended for any traveler or student of Italian.
Pretty good 4/5
A lot of practical sayings :) clear and to the point
Best value! 5/5
This is a wonderful app and gives the most info! I love it!
Pretty Good 4/5
Has a good bit a phrases, most of which are entirely accurate, and come on, it's FREE! If you want more go and actually pay for an app
One of the better freebies! 5/5
I purchased several free apps to help me practice my Italian for a trip. This one is probably favorite. It teaches you enough basics to get around. Molto bene!
Классний і доречний 4/5
I love it! 5/5
It's so fun and easy to use!
Good Approach 4/5
By Imperator Cayo
To be free is an excelent apps to survive in Italy. Has the elemental phrase, with the pronunciation, to shared with people.
not good 1/5
u cant even here wat she says right! y put in pizza?
Useful...and free! 5/5
Search is handy. Clear translations. Plenty of content, especially for a free app.
Audio works 5/5
By Tribal Trixie
Giving it 5 for easy to use interface & audio. Will test the rest in coming days.
I saw reviews over at Coolgorilla French app saying the audio doesn't work so I downloaded this + Accele Essentials so I can translate & hear audio without data connection. I also updated OS to 4.0.2 before I try using this app the first time, lo and behold, the audio works! yay, so happy. So the Essential will be a backup translator now. Thanks for making this free.
Below expectations 2/5
Talking Italian Phrasebook has a couple of very BASIC expressions, not really worth the dollar.
Lingopal has a lot more expressions, and they're NOT the "how to say hello" type expressions used by Talking Italian Phrasebook. I highly recommend Lingopal for any basic to intermidiate student learning Italian.
Italian Word of the Day (free version NOT the 99c version) has also proved to be very useful. The app gives you a new word every day, translates it to English, uses it in a sentence, and then incorporates it into a word game.
Very nice 5/5
Totally worth the money. Very nice.
Poor Sound 3/5
The sound quality has slowly deteriorated to inaudible. Problem is not iPhone; plays other audio fine.
Pretty cool 4/5
This is an app to practice with. Memorizing a few phrases, and knowing how to correctly pronounce them, gets you a lot further than if you know nothing. The pronunciation is excellent. Not bad for 99 cents.
Just got back from Rome 4/5
Worked great for knowing no Italian. Had no problems.
Inaccurate and outdated phrases. I recommend saving the $1 and applying it towards a translation dictionary.
Needs more 2/5
Very basic knew most of the words in here very limited selection untill they add abit more words and phrases personally I'd like to see some slang/curse words in here untill then not worth the money and 2 star
Nice Start 3/5
By Cruise Director
The basic stuff is useful. Most of the social stuff is questions that would invoke Italian responses which you would not understand.
Needs more travel phrases like where is the boat!
No sound 1/5
I downloaded twice, but got no sound from this app
Not too shabby. 3/5
Good app. Would be better if you break down phrases to individual words to practice each word in the phrase.
