Film Pal is a light meter and digital notebook for helping you keep track of your film photography. METER YOUR EXPOSURE Metering runs on the EV (Exposure Value) system, which ties shutter speed and aperture together. The reading is based on your film speed, which is automatically calculated based on the loaded film stock. Set the either the desired aperture or shutter speed and Film Pal gives you the corresponding value, represented through intuitive dials. The meter supports nudging the reading by ±3 stops. Got more than one shot to take? MANAGE YOUR EQUIPMENT Manually add your cameras and lenses to your private Film Pal equipment library, or import your entire kit at once via an easy-to-understand CSV file. Tell Film Pal which lens you're shooting and it won't offer an aperture the lens can't reach. TRACK YOUR SHOTS Film Pal has a comprehensive list of available film stocks to pick from– or add your own. Each roll supports the usual ISO and frame counts, though you can customize to fit your own shooting needs. Add a camera from your equipment library and as you shoot you'll build a comprehensive digital data counterpart to your photos. Any frame can carry a note, and location is captured automatically. An optional quick capture button is perfect for shooting multiple pictures in quick succession- meter once and the quick capture will copy the settings to the next frame. After you finish the roll, export your data and move the roll to the in-app archive. PRIVATE BY DESIGN All data is stored exclusively on-device and nothing is ever shared with the developer or any other 3rd parties. No account to create, no network calls, no tracking. Geotagging frame captures is automatic, but can be disabled at the application level via preference.
