Camera appears in every scan booo 1/5
My camera phone lens shows up on every scan. Useless. Thank you for trying though.
Doesn’t work 1/5

It won’t even let me scan anything to try all it does is a Demo video.

FilmBox app 5/5
By How now brown cow?
I love this app. I just started using it today. Easy to figure everything out and I love the color fix to change from black and white. I’ve shared some very old photos that would be lost forever. I had thought about getting someone to make pictures from the negatives but found it very expensive.
I would recommend this to anyone who has a lot of old negatives that they would like to breathe new life into.
The worstest one 1/5
Not good at all
Happy to see my mom again 5/5
My daughter heard of this app on TikTok and of course I had to download it cause I had some negatives that I’ve had since 2005. My mom passed away in June of 2018 and I had to see some old pics that we took with her while I was visiting that year. And all I want to say is THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH cause it brought back so many memories and it saved me a trip to the store to develop them. I would highly recommend this app to everyone.
Not as good as claimed 1/5
The app does not store pics to iPhone Images. The dynamic resolution is bad. Enhancements don’t work as well as some good image editors. Not worth $5.99 month. Only shares 5 images at a time 😠
Needs work 2/5
I appreciate what you guys are trying to do but the results are just not sharp enough. It is difficult to avoid distortion and I would suggest some kind of level to solve this problem. At first it was very I was very excited to see negatives that I never printed and for that opportunity this serves a purpose. Also the fact that an adjustment has to be made to make the image full frame is time consuming and inconvenient.
Not for 35mm slides 1/5
No for 35 mm slides. I thought this app also worked with 35mm slides. Does not.
Not worth it 1/5
I got this app to scan some 120 B&W negatives that I have been shooting lately. The negative conversion was good but the auto cropping was HORRIBLE. I had to scan some of the pictures 6 times to get a halfway decent crop. The resolution of the scans were terrible. I used a light box and my loupe told me the focus was sharp but the scans were terrible. I tried to go back and rescan to improve the scans but it won’t let me since I’m not on the paid version. I am not commuting to a subscription unless the app does what it’s supposed to do, and this one does not. Even their trial automatically subscribed to subscription after 3 days. Nope!
This app is a scam 1/5
This app is a rip off. It charged me to take a scan and then when I realized all it was doing was taking a photo of my. What I’ve and inverting it. I wanted to cancel before it charge me again and the support line keeps telling me that it’ll be back tomorrow after I told it I wanted to cancel my subscription. Crazy!
Does not work 1/5
By Mrs GP
This does not work and I would like a refund. The pictures look awful. It’s not worth it.
Nice idea. Poor execution. 2/5
By JB Frost
I’ve been using this ap for a few hours now and bottom line is fine for a quick grab for Facebook but even then the resolution is just terrible. Printing would be a joke. I have been conscious of holding the negative two inches from the light box and holding things steady but this ap is only worth a one time $5.99 not every month. I will probably delete it before the three days in spite of having thousands of negatives to scan. I’m just going to have to buy a actual scanner.
Mediocre at best 2/5
I was excited for this app but honestly the quality isn’t that great especially with color negatives. This app is DEFINITELY not worth $5.99/month either
It WORKS! 5/5
This app really works. I didn’t try to wing it, but followed all of the onscreen prompts for the best results. I’ll be damned...it works!
Thank you so much 5/5
By Katrina L Mayer
I have been trying to get some of my photos reprinted; I never imagine I wouldn’t be able re-print a negative.
What a piece of junk. 1/5
Very misleading in its initial video on how easy
it is to do.
Canceling my subscription right away.
Nice app! 4/5
I have loads of negatives to scan. This is such a great idea for an app! The photos are clear, but the color need a bit of fine tuning.
I’m pleased so far!
Not working 1/5
Not working 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
I would rate it 0 if I could. You only get about 20 photos then you are blocked to even use those photos. Deleted app. They will own your photos and use them and will give rights to 3rd party. Stay away from this app. Not impressed at all. Should of thought of the customer first, not the company profits!
Too difficult to use 1/5
To have to hold the negative with one hand and the hold the phone with your other hand while depressing the button for three seconds with the hand you are holding the phone with while trying to be still is almost impossible! I have deleted the app and do NOT want to be charged for it. I’ve deleted it before the three day trial was over. I forgot to mention that you have to hold the negative 2 inches away from the computer screen and sometimes the auto crop crops away half of the photo. This happened more often than not!
ONLY $5.99/month 1/5
Hi there! I came across this app and thought it was too good to be true. I wasted my time DL-ing the app and then wasted more time to watch their intro, and then come to see “try 3 days free then $5.99/month”, don’t waste your time DL-ing this app if you’re NOT gonna pay to use this feature. With $5.99 I can just go get my pictures develop at the store and the pictures quality are probably 1000% better. I was a little disappointed that I cannot try it free for the first time, to see if I really liked the quality of the picture. Imagine taking a picture on your computer monitor screen, the picture is distorted or blurry, or just bad quality. I would not recommend this app, and oh yeah I deleted the APP in a split of a second.
Better then nothing 2/5
By How About 'No'
The Auto Crop kills any kind enjoyment for this app.
Innovative app with annoying features! 2/5
I really wanted to like this app, but the auto crop function just made every picture of mine unusable. I looked for a way to turn it off, but couldn’t find one.
Waste of money 1/5
Subscribed for unlimited and was never given access ... epic waste of time and money .. horrible customer service .. sent email ... no response and messaged live agent only to receive message that they will be back tomorrow... #crapapp
This app is just what I’ve been looking for. What an amazing tool. So easy to use and the quality is good but even better after tweaking in photoshop.
I’m blown away 5/5
I was very skeptical about the app considering the negative reviews, but when I tried it I was blown away. It recognizes the pictures easily and turns them into photos with no problem as long as you follow the directions!! Also you don’t have to get a subscription, they have a free option as well. If you are looking for the subscription it’s only 5.99$ a month which is a lot cheaper than renting a local dark room. The only complaint I have is the grainy look it adds to the photos. But maybe they will fix it in the future. I love the app!!!
Came across some slides recently that were thought long gone. This app allowed family to share and reminisce. Wonderful!
Doesnt even do anything
Great app but... 1/5
By 54 emily tem
It really is a great app to look at lots of memory’s. It works very well. You just kind of need to get the hang of it! I give i one star because you can only take 5 pictures or so before you have to pay. You have to pay to share them as well! Not what I asked for.
The result is very fuzzy 1/5
By do not even want tell my name
I was expecting to get clear photos from negative but it is fuzzy... much better just raking picture from the printed photos...

By Old guy wondering what the ...
Disappointed w the lack of support offered. It’s hard to believe only 1 question has been asked in the FAQ section, and nobody to answer questions , etc. The initial process seemed very easy, but then using older negatives ( not 35 mil) causes issues w cropping , holding, for, etc.
I am completely dissatisfied with the results. The image is super grainy and not usable. I love the idea and I am looking forward to further updates, but for now, I can wait.
Update, my response to your response: I did everything correctly! I followed your instructions to a T. It was still awful!
Downloaded the app. Hit the “Quick Start” tab which then took me “let me try” tab. That is all there is to do in the app. In other words it can’t be actually used. I would be happy to be wrong.
Didn’t work for me 1/5
It looks like it should work well, but it didn’t work for me at all even though I followed all directions. It looked for a second like a picture, but then when it scanned, the image turned into a blurry negative.
App won’t work keeps showing me how to use.USELESS!
Absolutely Horrendous 1/5
By Tom McElvy
Well. I had hoped this would help me digitize my old film from high school.
The app is horrible. There is no other way to say it. The FREE app from Kodak is far superior to this. I don’t know if it was their first attempt, but it went horribly wrong somewhere. Not even sure HOW it got released!
I tried it two ways with the same bad results. I tried the suggested screen method, and I used the little cardboard “mobile film scanner” from Kodak. Color casts abound. Skin tones were awful.
I even tried using a professional light box (remember them?). Sam results.
Big disappointment, especially knowing how well their Photomyme app performs. I think they got ahead of themselves. It might do ok with black and white, but the free Kodak app work well, and it’s not $6 per month.
And, fwiw, subscription software should be illegal. If I don’t need server services. Why do I need to pay for them?? We left Adobe and went to Affinity over that crap. And we loved the switch. Just putting it out there!
Shows you in real time what it’s a photo of!!! 5/5

You have to hold your phone perfectly still with one hand and hold or negative perfectly still with the other
Couldn’t use 1/5
Never would go past the “Quick Start” “Let us show you how” page. Disappointed. Glad I didn’t pay for this. Save your time and phone storage!
**update - did what the developer replied PRIOR to deleting the app and writing this review. Still stand by the fact the app is disappointing.
**second update due to the developer NOT accepting the fact that I did not like their product. I am disappointed that it DOES NOT WORK.
Great app 5/5
Seems like a great app
This truly an amazing app!! I’ve compared it to other apps that I’ve downloaded, then deleted after comparing the quality of pictures, which was incredible, and the ease of using it! I’ve been using negatives that I’ve had for over 24 years! The pictures came out like they were taken yesterday! Absolutely great job!!!
Surprising results 5/5
I really like this app so far.
