Needs more strength routines 3/5
This app has been great for helping me get into the habit of working out consistently. I like the convenience of not needing equipment, but I have noticed that many of the workouts are cardio focused. It also sometimes doesn’t provide enough reps for an exercise to feel like it’s making a difference (I.e. an exercise with 4 reps doesn’t really challenge me). My other gripe is a few of the workouts include too many back-to-back exercises that involve bearing a lot of weight on my arms/wrists. Doing push-ups then a variation of push-ups or planks or mountain climbers can be tough on my wrists. Other than a few minor gripes, it’s a good app for the price and the variety of exercises you get.
Can’t sign in 1/5
I registered with Fitbit and it tries to link my Fitbit account and Fitbit coach account but won’t. I keep getting an “error validation failed” message. From what I’ve seen this is a thing many have experienced. Would have thought it’d be fixed by now? Apparently not!! Please fix this or come out with a newer version of Fitbit coach, one that actually works.
Great but... Please Add Cycling Workouts 3/5
I love the app and it’s great if you don’t have equipment. I’d love to see more. There are treadmill trainings I’d love to see some cycling videos. Right now I don’t use that app as much as I would like to and tried to use the treadmill videos and adapt them to cycling but just wasn’t the same. Hope that y’all move forward on this!
practically unusable 1/5
The app makes me sign in every time I try to use it. 95% of the time, it doesn't recognize my account...
Update 3/14/19: of course, the dev tells me to check my internet connection and update the app, because why would something be wrong on their end?
A couple good workouts but you have to crawl through a lot of premium stuff to get to it.
If you are ready to pay 7 bucks a month it’s ok.
Otherwise, Don’t waste your time.
Never works! 1/5
Would be great if the app would actually work. Always says an internet error which is completely wrong. I’m on the Internet and all other apps work just fine. My iPhone is brand new so it’s up to date and my Fitbit is a few months old and has no issues either. And no fixes to be found on the message boards.
Account log in is broken so it is useless 1/5
Unless you want to be forced to remake your password
All workouts are locked (for premium members only) 1/5
I’d vote zero if I could! Only a couple workouts are available. I’m a disabled vet and there is not one single unlocked workout I can do! Cool.
Has great potential 2/5
I love the videos and the layout of the app but there are not enough workouts. I would continue to pay if there were also HIIT workouts that incorporate jump rope, kettlebells, dumbbells, etc. you also can’t search for workouts by difficulty. Yoga and meditation videos would be nice too. They could also do live workouts like daily burn does and have people complete and share data. There’s so much potential here to make this really worth it or even worth a little more money.
Great but a few fixes would be nice 4/5
I love this app, but I did pay the extra money for the premium because I wanted more access to the workouts since so few are free. These aren’t major issues, but it’d be nice if they could be changed. Depending on where I am working out I may or may not have some of the equipment to do the workouts- like chairs, a box, etc. if they offered an option for those without those items that’d be nice versus me hoping what I’m doing makes up for it. Also it’d be nice if EVERYTHING wasnt based off the legs- I get they’re the foundation to a fit body but I’m trying to focus on my arms and stomach because my legs are plenty strong and these workouts fatigue them while my arms and abs don’t necessarily feel it as much. Maybe if we could choose a focus area it’d be better.
I’m not even going to bother 1/5
By Aaarrrggghhh in Tucson
After reading all of the negative reviews (and only a couple of positive ones) I’m not going to even try navigating this app. I really like my watch and the features it offers but I’m going to find another app with better features and reviews (and delete the free app I just downloaded. Buh bye.
Good because I have a Fitbit
Keeps closing on me 1/5
Took the fitness test yesterday but every time I go to rate the exercises, the app closes on me. I deleted the app and reinstalled and still the same issue. It wont let me bypass the initial test to try the exercises and it wont let me rate them either to proceed. So frustrating.
Should be FREE if you have a Fitbit 1/5
Sorry, but if you already spent money on a Fitbit they should be giving you these workouts for free. Great content, but definitely a rip off! Not worth it. I’ll find free videos somewhere else instead.
Tailor-made workout sessions. 5/5
This is an outstanding app!!! It is very motivating in that it provides workouts that are just right for each person’s level of fitness, thereby avoiding discouragement that would come from a program that is too difficult from the get-go. It is truly like having my own personal trainer without having to go to the gym. With this app, I have been exercising consistently and even looking forward to my session each day. Fitbit Coach makes getting fit a no-brainer.
Good > bad 3/5
It’s good I would like to do a workouts without having to pay om I like it but I cannot do workouts without having to pay
I wanted this for the treadmill workouts but quickly realized that I can’t play my own music during these sessions. They offer music but it’s super quiet and not a good selection for cardio. Subscription cancelled.
Needs a lot of work 1/5
The app doesn’t do most of what the website does. Every workout is labeled medium, even though the same ones are easy and hard on the website. There is no way to search or sort the workouts, so it’s difficult to find anything you want. There is also no way to favorite workouts from the website, where you can narrow things down by difficulty,Time, and body area worked out. Basically I can’t find anything I want onto this useless app. I’m sorry I wasted my money.
Um no thank you 2/5
I am using the Fitbit app to track my runs as I am preparing for the track season at my school. I read about Fitbit Coach on the original Fitbit app and read some reviews, so I decided to download it. Once I got on the app I wasn’t all too happy. A big majority of the sessions were locked unless you were willing to pay a monthly/yearly fee. As a student and a child with no money I can’t afford that and I’m not going to make my parents pay for it. Some other reviews said that once you download the workout and do it, the next time you want to do it you have to re-download it. Although, some points of it were good such as doing preworkouts and accustoming workouts due to your body type, there were only hard and medium workouts...no easy ones. I’m not going to say don’t download it though because I was only on the app for about 5 min. If you are willing to pay the price then it would probably be a way better app but if not you are stuck with around 5-7 workouts.
Changing fitness level 1/5
I started the fitness level higher than I should have. The app will not let me go back and change it to the appropriate level making the app useless to me.
Only worth it if you buy premium 1/5
By Sam Mila Corza
They have 1 free video for every 15 “locked” premium videos. At least offer a decent amount of free videos so I get hooked and buy the premium...
For the price it’s crappy. 1/5
I like this app sometimes. It has good walking and running options but I just cannot work our hard enough without my own music. I hate the music they provide, why can’t I listen to my own! Kills it for me. Also they literally never add new workouts, always the same boring stuff.
App is basically worthless. 1/5
You have to buy premium to do anything but one workout! Oh, and premium is $40 a year or $7 a month. Yeah no, not worth it. Disappointing.
Also, I did the single free workout last night. Tried to log into the app to do it again, and it said I reached my workout limit, and to do more I have to buy premium. So now I have literally NOTHING. Waste of time. Don’t download this.
Fit bit login invalid 1/5
The app is pretty bad in the fact that Fitbit owners can not login with out Fitbit logins. What is the point of the app let alone advertising it if Fitbit users have no way of accessing.
By Kathy B 505
Can’t even login ~ is this app dead or just junk?
This app was FANTASTIC till it was no longer available without the Fitbit. 2/5
I used this app daily, and paid for the service. . And then couldn’t use it anymore since I had the Apple Watch and it turned into a Fitbit coach... why not make this avail without the watch! So annoyed honestly.
No luck 1/5
App is not recognizing my account with Fitbit. Website and regular Fitbit app I can log-in fine. Attempted to reset password and try again, removed and redownloaded the app. No luck. Wish I could use my Fitbit to the best of its ability by using the coach app. I’m sure it works great once actually being able to be in the app and I’ll be able to change my review.
Workouts not balanced, Poot user interface 2/5
By unbalanced athlete
Some workouts like “Get Moving” will not include both sides for an exercise or tell you to switch legs halfway through. When I tried to rewind to do the same exercise on the other leg it was impossible, only taking me to the beginning of the current exercise. You should be able to scrub through the videos or already go back on the moves.
Bare Minimum 2/5
Like the title implies, the app offers bare minimum. After looking at all 4 of the workout selection programs, they do not offer much different material. You do not need a gym for this app - so keep in mind there is no weighted exercises - even in the get strong section. I did a month of the get lean to get a little more cut while being in relatively good shape previous. The workouts felt the exact same. I often repeated a lot of the movements the next day or the day after that. The “get strong” workouts mimicked a lot of the get lean workouts. Understandable. But gathering strength isn’t as intensive in cardio as it is in this app. If you’re looking for a $7 a month app to get your fatter friend moving - this is it. But if you’re looking for something new - expect about a month of workouts all really just focusing on getting you moving, before getting tired of the same things. Bonus (not really), the ten minute abs that I was hoping to do at the end of each of my workouts never changes. It’s always the same workouts. This app started my cardio kickoff for getting cut, but that’s about it. Be prepared to do a little cardio and stability exercises and then you’re pretty much done with the difficult stuff.
They don’t work with you when they’ve fraudulently charged your card. 1/5
By Alyson Marie
Don’t use this product. They’ll charge your card without you knowing. When you reach out telling them it’s fraud, provide them with the information requested, and ask for a refund, they direct your issue to a different department that does not exist saying they “help you” better.
Don’t wait your time with this garbage - your better off using a different company that has morals.
Wish it had yoga 4/5
I love the coach app and most of the workouts, but for the days I’m tired or sore and want a relaxing workout there isn’t anything to do. Please add some yoga or other Pilates workouts.
Stop recording various portions sleep is not correct anymore the weight issue rather screwed up lose one and a half to 2 pounds in one day gave them back the next day cannot reset cannot find it I had to reset the thing in general it’s only good for about a year and a half or two years then you throw away and put it in the trashcan because the app doesn’t work and then the watch doesn’t work let me take that back the watch works close ties pretty good got to charge it every day
I’ve tried to cancel my subscription but it’s still showing active 2/5
Please advise on what I should do to get this resolved.
It won’t work. 1/5
After seeing many great reviews for this app, I have tried to utilize it several times. However it has never synced up with my Fitbit flex 2. Disappointing.
Do Not Pay for Premium 1/5
Do not pay for premium of any FitBit app. When you cancel it through Apple, FitBit will still charge you and claim you still have a subscription and not refund the money. I am still fighting with them over my FitBit Coach and FitStar Yoga cancellations.
I’m pretty disappointed with this app. I thought I was going to get personalized feedback, or some kind of support, but all it is is a bunch of pre-recorded exercise sessions with a coach voice who inserts some words here and there. I’m surprised there are no motivational or nutritional articles or links to helpful articles or blogs on the app.
It is a free download but it isn’t free? WTH? I don’t like misleading but, whatever.
2.5/5. Testing out the apps to check out Fitbit. For a so called "household name", this app has many minor issues. You can't completely mute the workout without turning the device's audio off. The "body weight" exercises still require equipment. The exercise "rating in emojis" is quite bad (what is a 😜 rating?). On a good day, it will sync with your Fitbit app. There are is ONE "easy" workout (paid) if you're just looking to get moving and log it. It's okay because it's free, but this pretty much made me never want to buy any Fitbit products.
App is getting unreliable 3/5
Loved this app but recently after updates my queued workout will not download,’download failed-retrying’. Never seems to work. Very annoying and makes me go to my Gillian Michaels workouts. Come on Fitbit!!!
Great app but.. 3/5
I love this and how it’s comparable with my Fitbit but I hate that you have to pay to unlock most workouts. First we buy a very expensive Fitbit and now we have to pay for most workouts. It just isn’t very good.
Free version offers very little 1/5
There are about 6 free workouts - the rest are available via Premium. Very limited options overall. I selected a program and it noted this was my “program” but offered no program or exercises. Disappointed after two days. I will keep looking for a better option.
free apps you have to pay for 1/5
I paid for the watch well over $100 you would think that the you’d get a free coaching app included without having to go premium to really unlock anything.
The Absolute Worst 1/5
After just paying for the watch, you now need to pay monthly for a premium membership. There are literally no free workouts in this app. On top of that, once you download this app, it wipes the free workouts already in “coach” on your watch. Waste.
Good but could be AWESOME 4/5
I love using the fit bit coach along with my Fitbit it’s motivating and helps me get in work outs because I have pretty terrible anxiety and going to the gym is too overwhelming for me. I wish that there was more workouts on there like Pilates or Yoga or Zumba that you could try too. I know that they have a fit-star Yoga app but I’m not so into it that I want to spend money on doing it all the time. I like the coaches and like that it connects with my Fitbit App. I also like that I can look at past workouts and do them again if I like them. It’s a good app but if they added more workouts that were different it would be amazing.
Cannot log in 1/5
I’ve downloaded this app 4 times and i still cannot log in through my FitBit account. I tried to register as a new user but it won’t let me do that because it recognizes my email, yet won’t let me log in. No option to contact support but an option to rate the app, so here it is. I deleted it.
Not Free switch to apple 1/5
You’d think after spending 200+ dollars on a the their main product they’d give you a break on their apps! Seriously thinking of selling mine and getting an apple watch. (Which is relatively close to the same price and you can do some much more with)
Excellent addition to Fitbit 5/5
Love this app and immediately purchased the full year membership. The variety of workouts based on needs and time is fantastic. It’s been a great addition to regular weight workouts or days when I just need a quick workout fix. One recommendation for future app updates would be to make the workouts sortable. By time, difficulty, etc.
Failed to reach the consent service.. 2/5

I haven’t been able to do anything for the last few days! What’s going on?
I just wanted an app that gave you free workouts and was related to Fitbit. So I downloaded this app. I was excited to try it out. But no, I have to pay 7.99 per month for premium. You already make enough money! You sell a Fitbit Surge for $249.95. And you get plenty of customers! Now you just want people to pay more money for something everyone should have free access to, personal fitness and health! Think before you make people pay for things! Just make the app cost money, not PREMIUM!!!!! No one likes premium!
