Version 4.5 unusable on an iPad 1/5
The user experience on an iPad has been degrading since version 4.1 and now with the latest version (4.5) is all but unusable as the individual exercise quantity/time/countdown information is not viewable on the screen.
Contacting support three days ago has not resulted in any useful troubleshooting advice or correction. Their last recommendation was to use the workouts in Fitbit Premium, which costs $40 a year more than the Fitbit Coach subscription and has less functionality, IMHO!
Great App., but the light in the barcode scanner is not working. 4/5

Great App., but the light in the barcode scanner is not working.
It won’t open 1/5
The app doesn’t open despite repeated attempts. It freezes at the login screen.
Ive wasted so much time and money on this app. It takes forever to download a seassiond constantly errors out.On my most recent attempt to use this app I alloted myself 30 extra min at the gym to do a stretch and cool down. i picked a work out that was 16 min long I had to download it two times - the first time it failed to complete so for the secondy atrempt I had to sit outside my gym and wait for it to complete. 20 min later the workout was finally downloaded but the when the session started it was just the voice commands and a static screen so that I couldn't see the moves (even though that is the whole point of the app!?) I restarted it twice and couldn't fix it so I tried to just follow along and I started a left side exercise and as soon as I got into the position the app skipped to the next exercise - NOT EVEN the other side of the one I had started!! I would have uninstalled this garbage app MONTHS AGO but iI paid $50 for it. Ive had these issues since the first time I tried to use it and reported the errors and requested a refund with no success.
Does what I need it to 4/5
I’ve been using the paid version for a few years now. It’s a pretty straightforward exercise app. I like the mixed workout programs suggested by the app and the ability to review exercises (though it’s unclear if the feedback is actually taken into account)
A few suggestions: I listen to podcasts when I workout and it’s annoying that the sound gets dampened in the background (same for music). I have to turn the volume up really high to hear, and then the voice prompts are jarringly loud. I wish you could have the option to turn off the sound dampening, or turn off voice descriptions of exercises. I’m pretty experienced using the app now that I don’t need the trainer describing every move to me.
Another thing I would like is the ability to switch out moves in a program. There are certain moves that I really don’t like so it would be great if I could switch them out for other moves that use similar muscle groups. I’m sure the app is identifying what muscles get used out in each move already so it seems like a reasonable ask. You could always have a prompt saying what changes the new move brings, etc.
Please make these updates and I’ll upgrade the review to 5 stars.
Login issues 1/5
Can’t login with Fitbit login info. Not useful if can not connect them

I think this is oooookkkkk THATS IT
Overrated audio app 1/5
Once the workouts finally load they are good and helpful for the extra push. I am sure it has to do with my WiFi but often has taken over 15 min for just audio to load. There is lame music playing softly in the background, no option to choose or change the music. It really needs a lot of improvement.
Never been able to log in 1/5
By New Angel
I’ve never been able to log in and I’ve been trying to get my money back. My Fitbit account won’t work with the app. I don’t know what the deal is with this app, but it has never worked for me.
Working Great! 5/5
Issues were resolved. Thanks a lot! Love the app.
You have to pay and it won’t let be log in 2/5
The app was good except that you don’t have access to a lot of the workouts unless you pay. I stopped using Fitbit for a short while and now that I downloaded it again it won’t let me sign in using my Facebook account or my Fitbit account.
I’ve been using it for three days and I try to open it and it just won’t load.
Doesn’t load 2/5
This app doesn’t load any videos. Waste of time.
Not working 1/5
Can’t really review when I can’t get into the app. I even reset my Fitbit password to be able to log in and now it just gives me an error.
Roped into paying subscriptions that you don’t use, just like a real gym! 1/5
I used to be this app’s number one supporter for several years. I suggested it to all my friends who travel for work. I had a life change and deleted the app off my phone. I hadn’t used it in about a year in a half when I got a notification that my subscription had been renewed! Without my authorization! I tried to get reimbursed for the year I didn’t use it once, and the upcoming year they just tried to bill me for, $80 in total! I spent an entire morning chasing down the right communications department and it was *nearly* impossible. When I finally got the right department, and talked to someone, they escalated my claim, only to be DENIED and told to go to Apple for the refund! No, this isn’t Apples problem. If you’re going to participate in a pyramid scheme at least support the mom next door trying to support her family with essential oils instead of this trash app.
Much of the content is locked 1/5
By Mark o24245
Have to pay for much of the content. Not easy to find HITT workouts on specific amounts of time
Perfect in the iOS App 5/5
The only experience in the app is so great, I just wish the experience would be better in the ionic watch version. Please add voice guidance!!!
Love it 5/5
App keeps crashing 3/5
Anytime I finish a workout and go to rate the difficulty of the move the app crashes. It annoys me because if I don’t get a chance to rate the workout than it doesn’t sync up with my Fitbit app and track that I did the workout.
Can’t login with Fitbit 1/5
By gilbert munchkin
I install the app, login with Fitbit, and get error “validation failed”.
Can’t login 1/5
Am I the only one who can’t access this app? I’ve tried dozens of time to login with no success. Can anyone please advise?
Reset Progress 3/5
Give subscribers the ability to reset their progress.
Over all I love this app. I enjoy the workouts and I can easily fit them into my day. But let’s be honest. Life happens and sometimes working out falls off the priority list. I’ve been unable to work out consistently for a few months but when I do the app doesn’t adjust the intensity level to take into account it’s been a few weeks and it kills me. I end up extremely sore and then I avoid working out again. If only I could reset my progress so I could start over from the beginning when the workouts weren’t so strenuous.
I would like a refund for this app purchased it accidentally and furthermore no longer have a fitbit tracker.
By Ben will
I just renewed my subscription because I haven’t been active on n a while and expected some new exercises and options but after found a few and looking at the options available I’m sorely disappointed.
$39.99 annual and get apx 6 exercise options total and most are repeats from other exercises. I don’t think I’ll be renewing next year 😡
Refusal to accept my cancellation 1/5
By fit and fed up
I had Fitbit Coach for a short time. I canceled it. So, I get a notice that this company will renew my subscription automatically even though they acknowledge my cancelation.
This company gives apps a bad name. Their out and out refusal to heed my request should be illegal and most likely is.
I do not recommend them due to their poor and bullying business practices.
Almost Nothing’s Free 2/5
By Anna Maristela
Since I had a FitBit for my online gym class anyway, I decided to try this app and see how it went. I really liked the variety of workouts and how it showed you how to do each type of exercise. It was motivating to have the video while you worked out. Although you had to pay for many of the workouts, I just did the free ones. It was also laggy at times and I had to start over at some points just because I accidentally clicked out of the app. I wish they had more free workouts, since we already purchased the FitBit for around $200. Fixing the bugs I mentioned earlier would also make it better. Overall, even though they had a variety of workouts, there are other apps out there that offer the same benefits, but for free.
Won’t let me login/connect to Fitbit 1/5
Something is wrong with the login process. I can’t login/connect my Fitbit. Help!
Overall a good experience 4/5
By Anna Patten
As far as workout apps go, this one is pretty well set up. It is easy to search for workouts by category. I also like that it is easy to choose the music option that works best for you at any given time: the app’s background music, music stations through the app, or your own music. The trainers are good and it is nice that they give a video and audio demonstration of every exercise for a few seconds before you start. There are a few drawbacks though, including how few options you have if you are using the free version. If I planned to use this app consistently, I would have to buy the subscription to get any kind of variety in my workouts. Another thing that would be nice would be if the times listed for each workout were the total times including demonstrations instead of just the time spent doing exercises so that you have some idea of how long the workout will actually take you before you start. The app is easy to use, good visuals, and good workouts, though, so overall a good experience.
It’s great, if you want to pay for premium. 2/5
I love this app, I thought it was amazing and I did a couple workouts and loved them. But I’m more disappointed at yet ANOTHER app who only offers the bare minimum, then locks 95% of the app that you have to pay “premium” for. Honestly probably just going to uninstall this app and just look up my own FREE workouts. Instead of being like the rest of the apps on the market why not try something new and offer a completely free app where people can try to be healthy and fit? No wonder our nation is a majority overweight. We can’t even download an app without it shoving a monthly or yearly fee down our throats.
Great start 4/5
Being new to the app makes it fun and interesting, Love the body weight workouts. I hope more content continues to be developed. Would be nice to be able to “toggle” off the movement tutorials, they make the workouts a bit choppy. Overall a very good experience.
Shouldn’t have to pay if you already bought a Fitbit 1/5
Didn’t realize that you had to get a monthly subscription to even use any of the workout....
Does not work 1/5
By Two percent Melk
I bought a new Fitbit for the sole purpose of workouts on the device. First day and I’m unable to sign into the coach app. Looked it up and these issues have been happening since 2017 with still no fix.
Doesn’t sync with fitbit Versa 2/5
Works on iPhone, but will not send workouts to my Fitbit Versa. If you only want to use on iOS or laptop go ahead. If you want to use workouts on your Fitbit device look elsewhere.
Only One Complaint 4/5
I really love this app. There are a nice variety of workouts that can be done and at different fitness levels. I like the cardio kickboxing and dance workouts. Also like the strengthening and toning workouts. Do most of these at home where I can screen mirror on tv. But it would be nice if app could be downloaded on Apple Watch. Especially for outdoor activities such as walking, running and outdoor stairs workout where I can track my time between intervals. I think it is worth the premium subscription. But please make it available for Apple Watch
ADD WEIGHT LIFTING 2/5
I would LOVE the app if they added weight lifting programs. That’s why I purchased it to be honest. Kinda disappointed
Too much high impact 1/5
Not actually for EVERYBODY as they say repeatedly. I am moderately fit, but have some knee and ankle issues and need low or no impact. Every workout has multiple exercises that I cannot safely perform. I contacted them and requested a refund, which they have refused.
Love it but it currently is not working 4/5
By VeroC M
Please provide an update. My app won’t open or delete off of my phone so I can reinstall.
Gets me excited and holds me accountable! 5/5
Before subscribing to Fitbit coach, getting myself to the gym was a struggle and so was getting myself to STAY in the gym. I found I got really overwhelmed trying to understand what workouts I should do, what makes sense, and I didn’t know what would get me the results I was looking for. I’ve been doing Fitbit coach body weight workouts for a month and love my results, I love getting my 30 minutes in the gym done, and I feel so accomplished! My arms are getting toned, my waist is trimming down, and my legs/butt are looking great. I highly recommend this app if you’re looking for thorough guidance, specific tips to maximize your workout, and a tool to get you motivated and stay on track!
Doesn’t work 1/5
Tried for a week now just to log in and receive the same error. Validation error, tried using Fitbit and Facebook. the Fitbit app itself works so I know I’m not typing in the wrong password.
It costs even *more* $? 1/5
I spent $200 on a Fitbit. Now to fully use it I have to pay an extra eight dollars a month? The Fitbit coach app should just come standard with the $200.
Login Authentication Fails 1/5
Broken Login when attempting to login with Fitbit credentials.
Doesn’t work 1/5
Bought Fitbit Coach. It hasn’t worked from the start. I have contacted support several times and each time they say I will be contacted via email. I have not heard from anyone. Do not buy this app.
Great App..However, 4/5
This app is wonderful. I love how the workouts are easy to follow and how it tracks your process to your Fitbit. It is helping me greatly with my weight loss. However, when it comes to app, it is constantly crashing now. When rating my workout, the app crashes on me and freezes up. It’s frustrating and I hope it gets fixed.
Can’t log in with Fitbit login 1/5
I don’t want to use my Facebook account to log on, and the app won’t take my Fitbit account login, which I copy into the field to make sure it’s correct. Very annoying.
this is annoying DONT GET 1/5
first of all u have to pay to do almost all of the exercises and second of all the ones that are free aren't helpful. it is terrible dont waste ur time
The app is missing appropriate exercises for the over 65 group They are a significant user group and currently Fitbit functions as s pedometer and sleep monitor. Coaching for that age group would make much Fitbit more functional.
Didn’t even get a chance 1/5
I cant even log in and when i make an account i still cant log in.
Didn’t work 1/5
I was ready to spend money and work with a Fitbit app to help make my workouts more creative, but it wouldn’t let me login. I tried to delete it and download it again, I tried my email, Facebook, and Fitbit. Nothing worked. I’m sad that this app didn’t work for me. Hopefully I can spend my money in a different app.
