Fitbit: Health & Fitness app reviews

  • Love it! 5/5

    By JG782!
I love my Fitbit. It keeps me motivated to move and to do activities that increase my heartbeat. I also joined weight watchers this year and it turns out that if you have a Fitbit, you can link it with the Weight Watchers app and the Weight Watchers app will give you credit for all of your steps, and then increase your food points based on your activity level. Totally impressed!
  • The worse customer service ever! 1/5

    By Mariuscosmos
Highly dissatisfied with the customer service. I’m a Fitbit customer since 2016. Time for a change, I guess.
  • Handy 5/5

    By Freddie1997
Let’s me keep track of my steps
  • Great device, mediocre app 2/5

    By Elias and Lori
I love my inspire 2, but unfortunately that can be overshadowed by the frustration of trying to use this app. There is a bug that makes the silent alarm feature hardly usable, and people have been talking about it for YEARS, but somehow, update after update, it remains. It’s hard to feel inclined towards another Fitbit in the future when known issues aren’t resolved.
  • Slow update speed 3/5

    By Blubby234
I love my new Versa 3 but I hat that the update speed for the watch to my phone always takes like 1 minute and the find my phone and assistant doesn’t work most of the time and also last you cannot update the weather on your watch, you have to open the Fitbit app and update the data again to update weather. So if you need to do one of the things listed you might as well just use your phone. Also the clock gets out of tune by like 4 minutes everyday.
  • Having issues 2/5

    By mayberrymedic
Food scanning kept not working and updated today and now when I open the food log it just locks up.
  • Change for the better???? 2/5

    By Merry Chrismith
I find it difficult to understand how your ‘new’ program is helpful. The newness that you offer is the same thing as we’ve been having; elimination of the groups is not a good thing. I find those exercise programs boring and unhelpful. Next time I’ll get an Apple Watch.
  • Love this app and tracking my steps , miles, and calories 5/5

    By Grampyof5boys
The app keeps me on track with steps and the amount of time spent working out. It also does a great job tracking the calories I’ve burned.
  • Fitbit 5/5

    By bobnpattie
Love to be able to track my fitness and health on a daily basis.
  • Review 4/5

    By 70+ plus user
Good product. Useful info, but quirky. Have had to get tech help several times - always good assistance given. Most techs are “off shore”, so language/accents can slow things down My Versa 3 has more options than I really need, but what I use is meaningful. Wish there was an on-line, written guide that I could use. Would be VERY helpful, and probably result in a 5th star given.
  • Syncing bugs 4/5

    By ALS 5
I guess someone is working to solve the problem to sync data from the watch to the app. Updated sleep data and body measurements are missing in the summary.

  • Keep Fitbit Challenges!! 1/5

    By kigsfvv
Challenges are the ONLY reason I have kept a Fitbit watch!
  • Loyal Fitbit User No More! 1/5

    By artgurlj
I loved the Fitbit, but with the latest announcement to remove all challenges, what is the point?! This is a fitness watch - and discouraging challenges between friends is stupid. Friendly competitions are what keep many of us motivated to push harder. Now that you are taking away all challenges, what is left?
  • Inspiring 5/5

    By Nishu💗
Lost 20 lbs in 2 years !! So far so good. Weekly progress reports help to see the progression.
  • How do you manage to break it every time? 1/5

    By Clarkky11
Honestly, how do you guys manage to break the notifications pushing to the watch every time? Every time you guys have a ridiculous unnecessary update I don’t receive text or phone call notifications.
  • Bleh 2/5

    By SparrowShan
Syncing, when it actually works, takes forever. Quite upset that we’re losing challenges and trophies, especially when you won’t let me add my minor daughter to a closed group se we can still at least “challenge” each other to steps. I understand not wanting children in groups but you should allow them to be in one with their parent account!
  • B Anderson 1/5

    By Bander’s
Useless product will not stay synced and I spend way too much time trying to get it to work properly
  • Wait on buying a fitbit! 1/5

    By redrose#22
The change with Google NOT good. Fitbit will take away badges/ trophy’s earned. Taking away that will take away the hard work & dedication you put in! I bought my Fitbit a year ago🤦‍♀️ such a let down! Now their saying a Google account will be required! If this is true, I don’t know about you! But I do not appreciate being forced to into anything !
  • Heath data doesn’t work now 2/5

Suddenly no health data appears in the app for my Fitbit luxe for the past week
  • Good tool to track my fitness 5/5

    By Peter G(bear)
I am using Fitbit watches and app to track my swimming and walking. I am getting the data I need.
  • Viewing Options 4/5

    By SugarQn
I’d like to have the option to stream from phone to TV that isn’t an Apple TV. It’s hard watching videos from phone
  • Switching to Apple or other. 1/5

    By Deeeeeeeertne
No point in having a Fitbit after they remove challenges this week. So many syncing issues… def not worth dealing with anymore now that they’re taking about the ONLY reason I’ve been using Fitbit for the last several years lol (challenges). Bummer but what can ya do.
  • Terrible now. 1/5

    By Plantwoman78
Google destroyed all the things that made Fitbit special for users. Open groups to meet other fitness enthusiasts, give and receive advice, share recipes, encouragement. Gone. Badges and trophies for encouragement of new habits. Gone. Challenges so we could foster healthy competition between old friends and new friends. Gone. They took all the parts and cannibalized the company until it was dead. Fitbit used to be an awesome company. Now there is nothing left after the destruction.
  • Challenges 1/5

    By Re5a
I love my Fitbit don’t get me wrong. I won’t even switch to an Apple Watch because I love my Fitbit so much. But getting rid of the group challenges will be a huge mistake. I hope you reconsider before putting yourself out of business Fitbit. 🙄
  • Removing basic features? 1/5

    By notAsteaknshakeFan21
Why would they take away achievements and trophies? That’s so dumb, and without any reasoning or explanation. I got a Fitbit to do challenges against siblings and to encourage one another to be more active. What motivation does anyone have now to get a Fitbit over an Apple Watch or even a five dollar pedometer at this point?
  • Don’t take away Bingo challenge! 1/5

    By Jgrgurich
Since Google took over, they have been getting rid of features that made Fitbit app awesome. Next week they take away badges, trophies, and challenges which includes Bingo which is what helps keep me focused on my fitness journey. No reason to get rid of it other than to encourage people to buy an Apple Watch, which is what I will be doing.

Unhappy with all the changes Google is making. Disappointing they are taking away the things I love about Fitbit.

App works well seems to be fairly accurate in tracking steps and runs and general workouts. I wish it would sync with Apple health as the top competitor does.

  • The Hardware is great. The software or not so much. 3/5

    By tglazie
I have been using this software nearly 3 years. Started out with an android, and I’ve had an iPhone for the last two years. All this time I eagerly await the next app upgrade, hoping that dark mode will finally be supported and it never is. Aniother software related issues has to do with needing to go to so many places to get information. The software is a total mess! If you want to know your HRV, one day, your zone minutes, another day, your average beats per minute, while sleeping … all in a different place! The other issue is about the data downloading. Why should one have to re-download the data from the Fitbit servers when it’s the customers property? If you ever want to go back many months, let alone years your device will have to re-download all that data again. Check it later on in the day to show somebody and once again, you’re downloading the data. Despite incredible battery, life and accurate sleep tracking, I’m now switching to a competitor for a while. I’m not going to say who because that is not the purpose of this review. I am looking forward to comparing both devices from different companies. Get it together in the software department!

  • App doesn’t retain data 3/5

    By Omaka Rocks
I like the concept, however every few weeks I lose the data. I have the Bluetooth enabled always but it will read an incorrect date and when I manually reset, it deletes the data for the day prior. I have no way of knowing when it won’t retain the data and the purpose of this app is to know this data. If you are content with 1-2 times a month losing a day’s data, you will be fine. It’s not super super annoying, but I cancelled my membership today as it’s definitely not worth it. As a free service, I can be flexible. However I would NOT recommend paying for the subscription as it is doesn’t retain data.

  • Disappointed 1/5

    By Shells Opinion
I used to love the Fitbit and the Fitbit website. It is pretty disappointing now. No substance. The only thing I love about it now is the sleep data and how long the charge lasts. But they really changed the exercise section and food data section. Lacking compared to so many other websites and Apps. Bummer.

I love my Fitbit app. I minister my sleep every night. I also check my steps and rate with it. I make sure I watch my zone minutes to get enough cardio to help with my heart issues. Don’t know what I’d do without it,
