  • Fast! 5/5

    By Jake's-Reviews
Anyone with a busy schedule will always get the most out of their gym time with this app. Not only muscle gains but productivity gains too! I can completely focus on my workouts and keep a detailed record of my progress without compromising doing either. The companion Apple Watch app is fantastic! Can quickly do a set and log it instantly on my Apple Watch. To the awesome developers: If possible, could y’all make the videos of the workouts available on the Apple Watch too?
  • Best fitness app ever! 5/5

    By SWCCsal
I’ve struggled my whole life with managing my fitness. I’ve tried many different programs and got results, but found they were hard to stick with. FitBod got me back in shape and has allowed me to maintain my fitness with ease! I lay down every night excited to see what it has in store for me the next day! If there is something I don’t want to do, I simply replace it with a simple swipe. Thanks for your incredible product!
  • Overall a good workout app 4/5

    By Jakob Zeller
I liked this app because it can specialize in your individual needs very well. Also, the app shows you what muscle groups you should be working when doing the exercise which is very helpful in trying to figure out an exercise. However, the tracking on logging on the app could use some work, but overall a very good app if you are trying to get into fitness.
  • Latest update buggy 3/5

    By BaileyOSF
I'll preface this that I love this app. I've been having really challenging and varied workouts, which is why I downloaded it. But as of late, as I start a new workout and then if I then go to another app, like music or podcast, when I go back, the workout I was on, changes; different exercises. This is annoying as I start to program my reps and weights, as well as replacing some of the chosen exercises. Please fix soon.
  • Freezing 1/5

    By Christopher0
App is freezes constantly after launching the app.
  • Amazing for those who have no idea what the gym is 5/5

    By 772994681Sam
The only weight lifting or program I have ever done was high school sports! Having this personal trainer really pushes me to do ever lift, every rep, every time! It truly helps those who have no idea what to do at the gym!
  • Crashing/freezing/not happy 1/5

    By Boll3285
I don’t think I’ve ever made it through a workout without this app crashing or freezing. I’m sorry I paid for the subscription. Waste of money.
  • Variety 5/5

    By AllyCabs
Needed to add variety to my workout routine . Love this! So many different exercises to choose from you’ll never get bored and also helps to challenge you and know where you left off with weight to see if you can add more pounds or reps!
  • 2019 I’m coming for you 5/5

    By stand__tall
This year I have really dedicated my goal to transform my body for the better. And with that help I am glad to say Fitbod is giving me numerous of workouts to achieve that goal!! Thank you so much for creating an app that can get me closer to my fitness goals!!!
  • Buggy and crashing 2/5

    By roxjan
This app has many things going for it. It has helped me track and mix up my strength training, and it has a good aesthetic. But it is extremely buggy. It crashes constantly and requires me to reinstall it. It loses workouts or won’t allow me to edit workouts. The customer service team is unhelpful. After subscribing for a year I am quitting.
  • I like this app! 4/5

    By marissajmesser
I think this app is great when your working out. It is super user friendly with lots of options for workouts, excessive, sets, circuits, equipment etc. I would like to suggest one feature... If you could create your own exercise. Say you had a different variation to do something with different equipment if you could name it, save it and record yourself doing it that would be very cool.
  • So far so good! 5/5

    By Jorged7
As a starter, it’s motivating me to use equipment I never used at the gym... it's also nice you can see the videos of how a workout is done!
  • Great app to get you going. 4/5

    By Ranger_2208
I started using this app shortly after I started getting back into lifting due to the massive amounts of work outs. It has been great because I always have my phone and don’t have to worry about forgetting my notebook and pen to write down weights for the day. However, there is one this I have a problem with. After being in the gym long enough I have devised my own workouts and set the weights. The issue is I save these workouts and the next week when I go to that workout the weight is set at the same limit it was. This occurs even if I bumped up the weight limit on the last attempt. It isn’t a huge issue to go in and look what I did the week prior and start there, but it would be convenient if the app did the math for me and determined where my starting point for the next point would be. It does it for workout plans the app creates I feel like it shouldn’t be difficult to make it happen for my saved workouts.
  • From sponsored Athlete Mason 5/5

    By MasonSchexnaider
I will say this is an amazing app! With an even greater community of people. This app will take you to the next level. It keeps your workouts logged. It enhances everything you are trying to accomplish by showing the correct videos, and keeps your workouts built specifically for you as an individual! 100% back it! From day 1 to day 8 I shredded weight and leaned up. Feel free to see my Instagram for proof @iam_mcnasty !! If you are skeptical of downloading this app look no further this is the app for you! -Mason Schexnaider
  • Totally worth the money 5/5

    By satans volvo
I absolutely love this app! I love the workout selection and don’t need to think about what I’m doing, just open the app and start working out.
  • Awesome, but would like more functionality! 5/5

    By doodeebob123
Love the app but I would love it if the app automatically imported workout times from Apple Health and then asked what kind of training I did. Sometimes I don’t log the workout while I’m doing it, and I just fill it in all after the fact. I would also love it if the app adjusted to your recovery level (got used to how long it takes you to recover from soreness), or adjusted to the types of exercises you do and suggested that you switch things up a bit (with exercise suggestions ie. arnold schwarzeneggers “shocking” principle). Awesome app, I’d just love to see some cool new features!

This app is perfect! So many great features that honestly have been improving my workout sessions and progress. Hope soon it will be compatible with the Fitbit Versa!
  • Good app 3/5

    By SP Aerial
I enjoy how the app help expand your exercise routine. I have been enjoying the variety and have to say it works me hard. I only wish it would help track my weight lifted and guide me to expected weights based on lifting program.
  • Overall pretty good 4/5

    By lindseymillie
Could have some warm ups and cool downs, additionally, after using the app for a certain amount of time it would also be nice if weights were suggested. Otherwise this app provides a wide range of exercises.
  • Great App but Annual Fees. 2/5

    By Yoboyyash
Why is this subscription based? Ridiculous.
  • Awesome app 4/5

    By izzyseal
Love the app, especially love that when you go to replace an exercise it gives you options that target the same body part. One thing I wish it had was a notification when the time to rest between sets was up. I usually go on my phone between sets and go over the time almost every time because I get distracted, I need something to keep me on track!! Overall awesome app though
  • From Confused to Confident! 5/5

    By Kasulli
As a complete beginner in the gym/weightlifting world, I had no idea where to start in the gym. Walking into a weight room is intimidating, and without knowing where to start, you tend to just do a few things and leave. Fitbod gave me direction and confidence to go in, know what I was doing, so it right, and actually start to see a difference! I LOVE THIS APP!!
  • Great app 4/5

    By Kick area
Great app !! I wish they fixed some slowness and performance issue
  • Great, straightforward easy way to get a good workout 5/5

    By Meg1719
Awesome app, well designed and easy to use.
  • Too many glitches 1/5

    By Ctpl1_
I love this app and have been using it for several years now off and on, but consistently the past 6-7 months. I’m never really one to write reviews, however, I lost about eighty workouts or some amount along those lines. This app is always either crashing or glitching in some way, such as the one I previously stated. It’s hard to progress if this app isn’t properly tracking and saving it. Very disappointed. Makes me want to look for a different application.
  • Great app except for one thing! 4/5

    By L.G. Fan
Fantastic app! I recommend this to anyone who is looking to get started in the gym. I wish that it included the reasoning behind why it chooses the weight, rep number and rest time. I would feel more confident if it was giving me personalized targets based on my current fitness. A simple fitness test that includes one rep maxes and endurance in order to customize the workout a little more accurately would GREATLY increase my confidence in the workouts it generates. One last semi picky thing is that I don’t like the new design for the muscle man on the home page (the one that glows under fatigue). The geometric one was way better!
  • Great work out app 5/5

    By maCRAZY_1000
I actually like working out but need accountability and this definitely has kept me going back to the gym. I also hate planning a workout, so this app is perfect for me. It has taught me new exercises and showed me where I was going wrong previouslyI definitely recommend this app.
  • Awesome!! 5/5

    By kmarielroux
I’m finally sticking with a workout routine. This is just the app I needed to get my butt in the gym. It also is teaching me weight training as well. There’s no guessing when I go workout. This app tells me what exercise to do and even shows you how to do it with gifs! It tells you how many sets and reps to do and on some suggests weights but you can change all of that. It’s very customizable as well. You can change out the workout if your not yet ready for the ones they suggest for another you are more familiar with. You can also choose what types of cardio exercises you want to perform and you can have it set to do cardio before or after weights. All in all this is an awesome app for beginners who are overwhelmed with all the workouts out there, especially with weights. This cuts right to the point and tells you exactly what to do and what muscle groups you should be working. You can even choose workouts without a gym as well so there’s no excuse if you don’t have a gym membership. If you’re serious about getting healthy and strong, I recommend this to the fullest!
  • Bittersweet 2/5

    By teeorama
I LOVED this app, for about a year it motivated me and helped me reach almost all of my fitness goals, it’s ease of use and simplicity made it rise high above the thousands of fitness apps out there. Now for about 3 months the app has been a pain to use, it’s buggy, slow, freezes multiple times when trying to input information or when using a timer, it crashes constantly and has even caused my phone to shut off.
  • Awesome app 5/5

    By jeremiahlukus
As a developer I am deeply impressed with the amount of work it took to get this app working like it does. As someone how works out this is the best app I have used for fitness really great work!
  • Great App 4/5

    By Ashleyw19
Overall this is an amazing app. It helps me hit all my muscle groups while keeping my workouts fresh and never boring. The workouts have literally replaced my personal trainer. I burn on average 600-700 calories in my hour long workouts. However, the app is VERY slow and freezes all the time. I am also constantly modifying/changing my lifts, rearranging and having to super setting my workouts; even though I have selected supersets in my settings. I’m only 25 workouts into using the app, so maybe it will get better and learning my workout style and ability the more I use it. Even with the software glitches and having to modify my workouts before hitting the gym I still think the app is worth every penny.
  • The best app for getting back into weight training 5/5

    By IT2 Navy
Is it possible to add more oblique exercises and other ab exercises? The app is absolutely remarkable. The only con that I have seen is that there is not a lot of inner thigh exercises. This was the best way for me to get back into weight training despite years of not doing it.

Need to be able to check my HR, in app, on my Apple Watch.
  • Overpriced Auto renewal Sham 1/5

    By Zoverax
This app is not worth the price and was still charged auto renewal fees despite canceling. Hard pass save your money
  • Great app 5/5

    By riveram75
Great app, first ok its not a personal trainer and if you have time and can do better than this app is not for you. For beginners that can’t afford a personal traing and done have time it a great app, it give you a basic training plan according to you fitness experience and helps you work up to prgress. It also tells you what muscle group you’re working and the once that are on recovery. Good and I got my money’s worth from it, still using it.
  • Great workouts! 4/5

    By LivetoRideFLHRSE4
I shied away from this app due to the price. We have a great home gym, but I found it difficult to find workouts that would help keep me on track with my goals. My only complaint is the $60/yr price point. At the same time, $60 is what you would pay for a month in many gyms, so... I guess it is worth it!
  • Great app with with massive technical issues 2/5

    By SGTR08
It’s tough to recommend this app and its pay for yearly service when it freezes constantly and runs so poorly on an iPhone X. While the workouts it suggests are on point and excellent, the technical issues end up marring the whole experience. If they were to fix those I’d give it 5 stars.
  • Exactly what I was looking for 5/5

    By BadassOver50
This app gives just the right amount of structure and flexibility. I also love that I can list what equipment I have access to. The videos are easy to see and I love that *I* get to input how much weight to use. This app is so customizable and doesn’t assume certain goals. Too many apps are clearly focused on younger demographics with big muscle goals. Fitbod seems to just help you get to your own goals. I love that. The only feature I wish it had was a toggle between a gym workout and an “at home” body weight workout. Right now, you have to change it as a global setting. I’m so excited to keep using it!
  • Great for beginners 5/5

    By Bbooouaaat
This app is pretty simple. It’s user friendly and the guidance is helpful throughout the workout. I like how it doesn’t control your time or you reps or your weight. It gives you the ingredients you get to adjust as you see fit. Great app
  • Good idea, terrible execution. 1/5

    By User8473738
App keeps trying to fool you into subscribing. They use misleading language like"continue" instead of "subscribe". You can't buy the app once, but instead pay $10 everyonth for a calculator. The app eats battery like nothing else! Can't get through 2h workout without eating more than half my battery. Littered with bugs and crashes. For instance, you can't change preferences set at signup, you have to delete account and recreate. With those fixed I'd buy this app for $10 once. Never subscribe! *** Update*** It got worse, you can no longer track your workouts for free. It is now useless unless you pay the subscription.
  • Fidbod App Review 5/5

    By FitSyd
I’ve used several fitness apps and this is by far the best one I’ve seen. I’ve never been able to personalize an app as much as I can with Fitbod - from experience level, gym equipment, limitations, new lifts. It’s amazing. Worth the money, even for the experienced athlete.
  • It needs expanded options 4/5

    By Flawjer
It only offers lying leg curl under available gym equipment, not seated, even though seated is offered in the exercise selections. My gym has a seated leg curl but not lying, so the app needs to separate and expand the equipment selection. This creates a problem when the app builds a workout routine.
  • Best work out app 5/5

    By Hugo Aka Pharo
Love the app very well put together, will help me succeed to achieve the body I want.
  • Well designed app 5/5

    By Fir3Flash
I was skeptical at first, but after the trial workouts I was hooked. The interface is well designed and easy to use, the sheer amount of content readily available to you is incredible, and it’s customizability and it’s ability to track all of your workouts as well as analyze what you need to work on for next time is invaluable. Definitely worth the $5 a month. I just use the bodyweight exercises since I can’t afford heavy equipment just yet and I don’t want to drop hundreds of dollars on a gym membership. Even so, I still learn new exercises just about every day as the app keeps my overall workout regiment well balanced to work all of my muscle groups.
  • Perfect 5/5

    By Ev bud
This App has everything you need. I am not the type to give app reviews but this app is spectacular and has everything you need. Your personal data updated, recommended weight, sets, and reps, instructional videos, what muscle groups you should target next based on if your other muscle groups are completely recovered, etc. Highly recommend for anyone with serious fitness goals.
  • Will be great with some tweaks 1/5

    By Newlymintedrunner
Great concept and overall intuitive design. Needs some tweaks. Mind you I’m on iphone 7 still. Nevertheless my Recommendations: -LOVE that you can create multiple gym profiles. Never drop this feature! - make it possible to log sets from the lock screen, so I do not have to keep unlocking my phone to log my sets - sometimes I cant log my sets if I enter ‘0’ lbs. i should be able to log a set even if I did it with bodyweight. - allow tap and drag so I can arrange my sets in whatever order I want. - group sets within each superset based on equipment being used. Ie-It doesnt make sense for me to do one set on dumb bells and then walk to a different area of the gym to do my next set on a cable machine. - instructional videos dont perfectly correlate with the written instructions at times. Ie- an angle or range of motion prescribed by the written instruction is not being perfectly followed by the fitness model in the corresponding video. This is really important for i jury prevention. - make the videos downloadable/available offline so I dont need to be on a network/wifi to see them. - offer variation/modification videos for people with certain common injuries (ie rotator cuff, lower back pain, bad knees, etc) - keep up the good work!
  • Results 5/5

As I get older, more than the workout it is recovery that matters most for my gains. This is the app to manage recovery well and I’ve already put on 5 lbs of lean tissue and I am 54 years of age!!!
