    Nice app, but some exercises/machines I regularly use aren’t included so I have to make do with substitutes. Would be nice if there were a way to log drop sets without having to mess with rest timer.

    I like that this app creates workout routines for you based on muscle fatigue. It’s pretty smart about things, and tends to play it on the safe side with weight recommendations. It’s not very convenient to use, though, since I always need to either pull my phone out to log every rep set or pull my phone out to sync it with my watch. If I was able to use it on my watch completely without my phone, that would be awesome.

    ***9 month update: I ended up losing 40 more pounds using this app and am the strongest I’ve ever been in my life. I wish I’d had this app in the army, because it has saved me from the hip injury that got me medically discharged. I can even run again now! Strength training is the way to go and this app helped me 100x more than that trainer ever did. *** I was a member of a personal training gym for 6 months ($700 a month for 3 workouts a week). Having a trainer was great; I built muscle and lost fat (20 pounds total weight loss). But once on my own, it’s been a struggle. I didn’t know what exercises to do together or how they affected my body. I saw this app on an Instagram ad and while I usually take a peek at fitness ads, I ultimately never download or buy a subscription. They’re almost all the same, don’t do much for you and are expensive. This app is EVERYTHING. Jeez- for the price of Netflix, I could’ve been using this app from the beginning and seen the same results. You still have to put in the work, but this is the best tool I’ve found so far and the price is amazing. I bought the annual subscription and am very pleased with my results so far. Great, customizable workouts that take all the I’m-confused-and-don’t-know-what-to-do-so-give-up out of it. This app partnered with a cheap $10 Planet Fitness membership may very well be the best thing to ever happen to me.

    For anyone who wants to get into lifting but is overwhelmed by all the equipment, programs, and how to do workouts, this is a great app. If you’re intermediate or advanced and really want to make progress on your lifts, I would recommend an app like Strong. Pros: - Being able to customize your gym is great for travelers. Also extremely easy to replace exercises and does a good job recommending exercises by which muscle groups are recovered. - The gifs of someone performing the workouts alongside the instructions make it easy to pick up a new exercise. - It’s fun and easy to experiment with new exercises. - The UI is top notch and feels good to use the app. Cons: - I made a custom workout and when I did the workout and changed the reps/weights, the app didn’t record my changes the next time I did the workout. I thought the app would do more as far as recommending sets/reps/weights for my custom workout but it didn’t. - Going more on the first point, I wanted to do more weight on my bench press, yet the app recommended a weight that was 15 lbs less than my most recent PR. Seemed illogical. - There’s no rack calculator which is a relatively easy way to add a lot of value to the app. - I wish there was a way to specify the type of training I am doing. For instance, I’m doing Reverse Pyramid Training, so whenever it auto-loads a workout for me, when I see it say 5 sets of 5 reps, I immediately need to change it. - When doing supersets or circuits, there should be a way to set a timer for the first exercise and move onto the next exercise in the circuit, making sure you’re resting long enough from the first set to the next set of the first exercise. So overall good to start out on but not sophisticated enough to follow a program to make sure you’re optimizing your gains. It’s a fun app.

    Over the last 10 years I’ve tried out countless workout apps and this one by far is the best I’ve seen!!! - I love that it takes the mental work out of workouts... just select your equipment and time and it automatically generates a workout routine for you everyday. It’s like having your own personal trainer! - I workout at home with Dumbbells and a bench. I workout for 3 days then take a day off utilizing the Push/Lowe Body/Pull rotation. - My workout alone takes about 15-20 min but with warmup and cool down it takes around 32 min. I am so grateful for this app!!! In just over a month I’ve already seen and feel significant gains in my fitness! Everyday I can’t wait to see what Fitbod has in store for me! And I’ve never had any bugs or any other kinds of issues with this app!! Thank you so much for putting such an amazing app together!

    Everything that you look for a app to have Fitbod has it! I’ve went through so many apps and I finally found the one! Videos, descriptions, options to set your own weights and set reps for people who might not able to do a lot of reps. It’s keep all your workouts in a log and shows you what muscle group you used in the past week by a body graph and percentages. It has so many more options to choose from. Looking to lose weight, gain weight, tone or build strength look no further! Love it! Ps: if you have $60 to spare just go ahead and pay if your really serious. You will save money in the long wrong. $60 a year or $10 a month? You do the math!

    Fitbod is a stellar app with all the bells and whistles to make me feel competent and focused in the gym. The videos help me to understanding a suggested exercise I’m not familiar with. The app is easy to navigate and comprehensive. Five stars all day long. My only complaint is I’d wish it would stop recommending 2.5lbs as a suggested weight; I’m far stronger than that now! Whomever designed this service deserves a solid high five.

    I’ve been using Fitbod regularly for almost a year. Now I’ve recently gone back into the App Store and started testing multiple “workout tracker” apps to see if the grass is greener elsewhere. I’ll explain why I did this later. Anyway, NOPE, Fitbod is definitely the best one in my opinion. Why? First, it has the best design/look/interface of them all, by far. Next, it’s really good at calculating calories burned for your workout and syncing it with Apple Health. It also works well with Apple Watch. The subscription price is better than most of them (if you get the yearly price, not the monthly). Now let’s go deeper: Because of the AI (Artificial Intelligence) for building workouts based on fresh muscle groups, it’s awesome for the newby (like I was) who wants to be guided through the process. You will find yourself losing the intimidation of the gym and learning to love the gym. This was my personal experience. It becomes addicting, and that makes results. But over time, I found myself outgrowing the AI and found that Fitbod was also great for those who wants to build their own custom workouts. Now, this is my go-to. So, back to the reason I started looking around. I wondered if there was a GOOD free (or just cheaper) alternative. It turns out that there’s not. The designs of the apps that are “full featured” are almost unbearable. To do good design AND have a bunch of great features is REALLY hard. But Fitbod has done it. One thing I’d like to see added are some pre-built workout splits from bodybuilding professionals. Thanks.

    I have been going to my current gym for over two years and I was stuck doing my same routine and I was not seeing results. I decided to get this app and let me say that I'm loving it. I'm working out muscle groups I haven't in a while. I just started last week so I can't speak to results yet but I will once I do.

    Really like not having to write things down in my notebook or my notes app. This app minimizes screen time (looking at my phone in the gym) also really great Apple Watch feature. HOWEVER!!!! Why can’t I create my own exercises? You have a huge exercise list at your disposal, it would be nice to be able to add “medicine ball crunch throw” to my workout instead of finding the closest related exercise to place instead. JUST A SUGGESTION... SHOULD TOTALLY ADD THAT FEATURE THOUGH..

I’ve purchased a lot of workout plans in the past and nothing compares to this app. The workouts are well thought out and effective. I’ve been recommending this app to everyone. If you could make one improvement, I would l love the ability to track my measurements and reminders to remeasure.

    I’m the type of person that NEEDS to follow a plan when it comes to working out. Fitbod is absolutely PERFECT for that!! It plans out your workout for you and shows you exactly how to do it and how many. It bases it off of which muscles have been used the workouts prior. And the best part is that you can edit the amount of reps you do and you can add exercises too!! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

    Taking the first step to get in the gym and get going has been a major problem of mine... There's a few reasons why but one of the main reasons is because I overthink everything I do and planning out the "perfect routine" before I start always seemed like a must... but I never get it put together... Long story short, I downloaded this app and started the 30 day trial to give it a shot...I jumped headfirst into the gym using this app as my only guide... 3 weeks later I'm 12 lbs down and still going strong.

    I’ve been using this app for about 2 weeks now. Love it. The only suggestion I have to the developer is to make the “Log Set” button bigger. I work out pretty intensely and towards the middle of my routine, my hands get a little shaky and sometimes I hit the wrong area of the screen and miss that button. Other than that, great app. The interface is extremely user friendly, the ability to replace exercises is awesome, the use of available equipment in the routines is very nice, the routines are very challenging. I highly recommend this app. BTW, I have the paid for version.

    I have a weightlifting program. But I travel a lot and don’t always have access to a barbell and plates. This is where fitbod delivers a 10x experience. Whatever equipment is lying around the hotel fitness center, fitbod will put together a challenging workout. I hardly ever miss a workout no matter where I am.

    I love this app, it makes everything so easy. I tried others and this is the best by far. However it has one major issue...the watch app does not work. At all. The ability to use the watch was one of the reasons I wanted this app so I didn’t have to grab my phone in between lifting sets. I am on WiFi, have all the apple health settings turned on, and have tried reinstalling the app on the watch but all that I get is it tells me to open the app on my iPhone when it is open already. The refresh button does nothing. And the worst part is I tried contacting support and I was ignored. Never heard back from them.

    TLDR: The app destroyed my workout record. FitBod “support” has yet to even acknowledge my problem and have obviously not solved it. Technical problems and nonexistent support. Shortly after paying a year in advance for the app, it gave me frequent reminders to sync to a Fitbod account. I was unsure why, but I was happy with the app at the time, so I went ahead. It may thus have been this “syncing” that caused the subsequent destruction of my workout log. Most of my workouts to that point were just gone. But on the two days where workouts remained, they were in the record twice. Insane. I wrote Support three times, adding details as I came across them. They provide no email acknowledgement of support requests. They provide no estimate of time to response. And indeed, there has been no response. They still have my money and I still get all their automatic email, of course. Just nothing about my problem. I can’t find a way to “unsync” and I still see no clear purpose to it. And obviously, still no Support response.

    I’m a United States airman/firefighter and amateur boxer. It is perfect for me. After the first workout I was thinking really that’s it? Then the next day I was so sore! I also like that you can customize your workout to literally all your goals! However I Wish this app came with a meal plan and a timer for the planks and other timed workouts. Totally worth the annual $59.99 fee. Some people spend more for least you’re being productive with what your paying for here.

    This is a great way to get back on track in a controlled manner. It builds work outs, you can adjust if it’s above your current fitness and it will adapt. That is dope AF. I used to be in killer shape so whenever I start again I over do it. This keeps me honest with myself and body. A true tool to help you get back on it.

    Only 3 workouts in but I went ahead and bought it for a month to test it further. App is easy to understand, follow and is working accordingly. Only issue is the same types of workouts on the same muscle on the generated workout tires that muscle out with no recovery. You can switch out replacement exercises though but I would like to sit down and get to the grind instead of mix matching my own workout.

    This app interface is easy to use, gives a wide choice of workouts so you don’t get bored, and helps track how much you’re lifting on any given day. Best part in my opinion: if you’re confused on the workout type, you can see instructions and a video to ensure you’re performing it properly and safely. Huge fan of the app and glad I came across it!

I have been using it for a year and became part of the beta testing group, but I didn't want to lose my data so I don't think I've contributed much. I LOVE that there is finally a fitness goal for muscle tone/losing weight. This app makes it so easy to get an awesome workout without having to take the time to plan. It helps remove excuses for skipping working out. I've told everyone I know about it. My husband was worried it wouldn't challenge him enough because he lifts so heavy but this app allows you to push yourself as much as you want. Keep up the good work Fitbod team!!!

    Wow, I loved Fitbod so much that I spent $60 on the subscription!! This is the real deal! Paired with a calorie counting app and some will power, you will get fit!! It takes time but Fitbod switches it up everyday so it doesn’t get boring. I am always so excited to see my next workout. The app is super customizable so you can tailor your workouts to the available equipment and even body weight only workouts. I love FITBOD and I hope you do too!!!

    For a few years I’ve been looking for a workout app that has it all, creates workout with a purpose based on what worked recently so as not to overwork muscle groups and allow rest, take into account what equipment you have (can’t remember if this actually does or not, but I have most, so I don’t notice it) and progresses your weight based on your past workout logs. Five stars for sure! Most others just randomly pick from a pool of exercises without purpose or require too much work. This app rocks!

There are always variations to an exercise and ability to add or delete, add reps, etc. perfect if you have injuries. Works up from iso to compound to multidirectional.

    I’ve been going to the gym for while now but I’m not good at making workout plans for myself. Before this app, I just looked up exercises online and followed them. However it was always the same which I didn’t like and got tired of. With this app I have a new workout everyday that targets different parts of my body and I freakin love it. It takes the worrying and planning about what I’m gonna do at the gym before I get there. I go to the gym, open my app, and boom my workout plan is right there! One thing I wish it did was have exercises that specifically focus on upper and lower abs, also side/hip fat! I know it highlights the entire ab at one time, so that would be a great update. Love it!!!! Worth the money.

    When the app is working it’s really great. The ability to track workouts and see progression is really fantastic. My biggest complaint is the app is buggy, After a year of use I have lost all of my workout history twice. I have to rebuild my gym profiles once a week, and the app will crash during workouts on a regular basis. If you can work around these frustrations you will like the product.

    I have always struggled with my confidence which often translated into my weight. I joined a gym but was too scared to go then I just went to the classes as I was still to scared to get on the floor. The first time I tried to lift I was so embarrassed I ran to the changing room and cried. I found Fitbod and my whole relationship with my body changed. I new what my muscles were called I learned how to properly work with my body. I now feel so comfortable on with the weights and lifting that it’s my favorite part of my day. I honestly wouldn’t be here without Fitbod. I have recommended it to everyone of my friends and even a few trainers at equinox. Truly life changing 😃

    I’m an ex powerlifter looking to tone up my bulky muscle into something more lean and, well, feminine. The thing that floors me about this app is just how much you can customize it to your preferences! When you open the app, it asks the basics: age, gender, height, weight, y’know. Then it asks you what your goals are for fitness: do you want to bulk up? Get lean/lose weight? Bodybuilding? Are you training for powerlifting? Are you training for Olympic weight lifting? Then it asks how many days a week you want to workout (and for how long), what your experience level is, what equipment your gym has (dumbbells, barbells, machines, etc.), and from there it customizes a weekly workout plan that’s perfect for you. And if your preferences change, like if one day you want to just do a bodyweight workout with no equipment, it lets you do just that in the settings! The more you workout, the more the app adjusts to your limits so that you’re neither whipped to the bone nor walking away feeling like you waisted your time doing nothing. It’s as if I’ve found a personal trainer that fits in the palm of my hand!! It’s only been the first week I used this app, but I’m already so thrilled with how well it’s made that I’ve subscribed to the $60 a year plan. This app is well worth it in so many ways. It even lets you add recovery and warm up exercises!
