Good app but hell on your batter 4/5
I like the app but it will drain my batter faster than any other app.
Finally! A workout app worth the hype! 5/5
This app has forever changed the way I workout. I get daily workouts that are fresh and continue to challenge me while still tracking overall progress.
Everything I’ve been searching for... 5/5
I love this app. Totally necessary for people who track their workouts.
The BEST WORKOUT APP EVER CREATED!! 5/5
By Melvin Polanco
The best workout app!!
Good app, always improving 5/5
I’ve used a range of workout apps and have been using Fitbod for more than a year now. TL;DR The best part is the simple and intuitive instructions and data input while lifting weights, and it’s the best in class for that.
The app has always been very good for guiding and tracking live workouts. Creating whole plans is easy with tons of features like circuits, a library of exercises, filters for available equipment in different gyms you go to, and saved workouts/sets... it’s quite comprehensive but reasonably easy to navigate. They also frequently release new updates improving intelligent recommendations for workouts, and adding requested exercises. The integrations are better than most I’ve tried, including most fitness trackers, Strava, and an Apple Watch interface (which I have not used). Definitely worth giving it a try for the free trial.
Confusing cardio entry 4/5
By Anthony News
I love this app. It’s been helping a lot with strength training. I really wish it would integrate with Garmin to sync cardio workouts or make manual entry of runs and biking easier. I should just be able to say I ran x miles in y minutes. It seems like I have to go through a million screens to enter runs.
Also, I wish it wouldn’t count runs against my strength training muscle fatigue. If I enter all my running, it would never have me do lower body strength training.
Lastly, I would love to see y’all develop goal specific strength training programs, i.e. strength training for a 5K or half marathon.
Great app - there are space for improvement 5/5
The app is great and it has everything you need for performing any exercise. It would be nicer to improve its design in order to either chose to do the recommended training or to chose your muscle set that you want to work on. Also, a quick way to change the work out time would be really appreciated.
Both improvements can be find in the app, but they don't seem intuitive enough.
+40yr old at home gym 5/5
What an AWESOME app! Takes the guesswork out of the workout and no “Personal Trainer” having do some crap you’ve never heard of. I’m sure that Balls to the Wall workout is incorporated in here somewhere, but after several months of using the app, it adapts perfectly to what I need it to do.
But the timer could be better.
Excellent workout! 5/5
Feels like someone is actually reviewing my workout and making out the next one. I’m sure it’s all algorithms, but it does feel like it’s personal.
Would love to see more granularity with gym weights. We don’t have 5 lb machine weight steps... just 10. We also don’t have any dumbbells above 80lbs (not pairs, anyway). Would also like to see a team component still, or some kind of collaborative cloud based system.
Great app. Some flaws 4/5
Still in my trial period with this app. So far I really enjoy it. It’s extremely motivating and keeps me on my toes.
There is one thing that annoys the absolute hell out of me; the plate counter. It makes no sense to me. Thr math is usually way off, even when I choose the appropriate bar. The app with sometimes tell me to put more weight on one side which makes no sense. Can someone explain this to me ?
Great diverse workout...! 5/5
By Dawn ster
I'm a 50+ year old lady who wants to bump up my lift game and burn some fat. Love the workouts this app spits out at me and that I can still switch it up a little. Fabulous!
Love This App! 5/5
Been using the app for months now and I love it and the results!
Great app!! 5/5
By D L Sanford
I have been using this app for about a year, and it’s so simple to use and it’s informative on how to execute each exercise! I love it, and I’ve been getting so many of my friends and fellow musicians hipped to it. It’s hard for us to stay consistent and healthy while we are on the road, but this app makes it easy for us to do so with the exercises.
Great app 5/5

Looking for away to track your workouts? Looking for away to challenge yourself with different types of workouts? This is your app. I’m 49yo and this app changed my workouts for the better! I’ve dropped 24 pounds and I am well on the way to hitting my goals.
Never been Better 5/5
By Flyby 1989
This app has helped me beyond measure. I have failed a PFT due to no upper body strength. Me being a visual learner, visually motivated, I was looking for an app with graphs and regimented workouts. I’ve tried quite a few apps they all compare well to this one but lack in other areas, such as a strong workout base, or visual representations of workouts, or limited history on workouts. Though this app costs pretty penny, it costs for a reason, it literally has it all! I’ve seen dramatic improvements in muscle tone and strength because, I feel, I am motivated to “beat my last workout” thanks to graphs and daily reminders.
Greatest Fitness App, but... 5/5

The WatchOS version needs some refining
Good App, Still Needs Work 5/5
By Tay Rob 24
The app has been getting better and better over time. Few things I would like to see:
When you select adding body weight workouts, that’s all you get, even if you have all your machines from your gym selected. So when you try and ‘generate a new workout’, it’s literally the same upper/lower workout EVERY TIME.
I know this is a little bit much and may come in the future when algorithms improve but if I haven’t worked out in 2-4 weeks, I would like for my weight/reps to be decreased or adjusted according to my last workout if possible.
Would like to see more variants of workouts, like Wide-Grip Bench Press, Big 21 Curls (Curling 7 reps at three different motions: Full curls, half way up, and half way down).
I’ll stop there because I don’t want to seem as if I’m bashing the app. I still give it 5 stars though.
Good when functional 2/5
Been using this app for two years. I like it but it often freezes and crashes - despite having the latest OS.
Gym must have 5/5
By Army Lifter
Has everything you could want or need. If your doing an excercise variation you can add it in notes and track goals and progress.
Review of app 3/5
When I set up a workout on the app. As I’m doing my workout I notice that the app changes the reps, the weight amount, or how many sets I had set up prior. During a workout you can’t check your history to adjust the apps changes. Missing a lot of exercises. There should be a way to put in an exercise that you want to do that the app doesn’t have. That way you can keep track even if the app can’t. Starting regret my purchase of this app.
Weight IDs 4/5
Very nice app. Been using ~2yrs. When using home gym equip, would b nice if app would ask what max/min weight of dumbbells you hav (app calls for more/less weight than I hav) and ask if you hav dumbbells in 2.5lb increments. My poor boy gym doesn’t.
Great app 5/5
By plymouth b
Love this app it keeps me on track and I can synchronize it with my other health apps easily
Love the app, just had some bugs 4/5
I love the app when it works which is most of the time. Does have some issues now and then with losing a workout before (pain in the butt to recall a whole workout from memory) or the desync between iPhone and Apple Watch from time to time. I'm at least 100 workouts in and love it :) Highly recommend.
La mejor 5/5
He probado varias pagas y gratis esta es la mejor
Pro wrestler 5/5
As an independent professional wrestler I require a high intensity workout. This app has made my workouts just that, without the hassle of keeping up with my progress manually. The app take the stress out of my workouts and allows me to focus and enjoy the workout without the hassle of writing it all down, keeping up with my PR’s by myself or trying to remember what I did last time at the gym. I have and will continue to recommend this app to all my friends and guys and gals at the gym
Truly effective customisable app! 5/5
It’s all about what you ultimately put into it but this app has been super helpful for my customised strength training and weight lifting. I’ve tried using this with the Bigger Leaner Stronger tweaking as needed and it has hit the ball out of the park!
Can’t recommend it enough. Would be good if they did a better job with using Men’s Health type fit male models for the workout videos with careful attention to weight training form and camera angles but honestly that’s a small gripe for what has been an awesome reasonably priced app from the start!
I’ve not tried all the other features yet but the Apple health, Strava, and live rowing links are super useful.
Love: travel pocket trainer! 🏋️♀️ 💪🦵👊 🏋️♂️ 5/5
I travel for work so I’m in different gyms with various equipment. I love that I can modify my gym or go with no equipment and still get a great workout. It gives my muscle groups time to recover and tracks activity with my Fitbit. I can add or swap exercises if I want something different on the same muscle group. Great video and written instructions for proper form. Completely worth the $5 a month I pay.
Best workout app I’ve seen! 5/5
I started using this app after having a personal trainer for years. I had been wanting to start doing it on my own but struggled with putting workouts together that I knew made sense. This app very closely matches the kind of workouts I would do with my trainer, which makes me confident it isn’t asking me to do things that don’t make sense. It is also good about the way it groups exercises together, as in they are appropriate to do together, but also the order they list them in. Even asking you to do max reps every now and then to keep you from plateauing. It is the most customizable I’ve seen, and the most helpful. Giving detailed instructions with videos if you are unfamiliar with the exercise. I even got my boyfriend to start using it who is new to lifting and is intimidated by the gym. This app is the only reason I have finally been able to quit paying $60 a session for training twice a week. Now I pay close to that for a years subscription for the same workouts. I never leave reviews but had to because I love this app sooooooo much!!!
Just about every time I work out this app freezes and I have to shut my phone all the way down and reset my workout
Excellent app but FULL of glitches 3/5
Love the app. For traveling it is awesome to be able to customize the equipment available to you. But the developer NEEDS to address the glitches, this app is full of them.
Stay fit 5/5
Love this app. Doesn’t matter if I’m home using my resistance bands or at the gym working out this app provides direction. It helps me to set goals and stay motivated and focused. I have used it for over 280 work out and plan to continue to use it! Love it
Subscribed for two years 5/5
Closest thing I’ve had to a personal trainer. Really great app.
By GB Packers 2019
I love the routines Fitbod provides while allowing you the flexibility to customize your own routines. Goal setting is also a major plus as Fitbod. I like how you can choose exercises to hit the specific muscles you want work. I use Fitbod and MapMyRun and seen great results. My only wish is some day that run results done in Under Amours MapMyRun would auto download into Fitbod vs having to manually enter them. Fitbod is 5 stars
Amazing App 5/5
Without a doubt I can say I love this app. I have tried sooo many , paid and free and none has giving me the results this app has. It just adjust to my needs and I can change routine , exercise muscle group even if I have gym equipment or just body weight. It has tons of exercises to choose from. Give it a try .. you won’t regret it !
Life Changing 5/5
I have just crossed 10 weeks of working out at least 3 days a week. This is huge for me personally because I have never stuck to any workout program for that long before.
Fitbod inspires me to get up early and put in the effort. It make picking up weights easy and fun. Everyday I feel like I’m playing a game against myself from last week. Always trying to get better and stronger.
My body is in better shape then ever!
Can’t be more excited about this app 5/5
The best fitness app, period.
Best Exercise App On the Market 5/5
By Mike Macfarlane
I love this app! It does a great working with the equipment you have available to you in order to give you a complete workout. The app pushes you without pushing you too far.
So easy to use!!! Love it
Awesome habit maker 5/5
This is my go-to app in the gym. Takes the planning out of it. Now that I’ve used it for 3 months fairly regularly, I think the exercises themselves could use an upgrade. Some of them like the upright barbell row, or the leg extension are actually not that great for your joints. Have you all ever considered licensing exercise routines from well-known coaches like Jeff Cavalliere (ATHLEAN-X)? His routines are pretty awesome and all anatomically advantageous.
Thanks app maker overlords!
Great Fitness App! 5/5
I’ve been using it over a year and finally have a way to achieve my goals... and I’m getting results!
Best app for all age groups 5/5
I really loving it !
Weekly plan 3/5
I would love to see an option to plan out workouts for the week.
Love it 5/5
By Specs Yvette
Love, love, love this app! Acts as your own personal trainer. You don’t have to plan your workouts, it does it for you.
Highly Recommend 5/5
This app has learned what challenges me and knows just how hard to push me. I maximize my workout with this app and I have recommended it too several friends; they messaged me the next day with a “wow!” That’s how good this app is. It is like having your own personal trainer in you pocket for only $60 a year. I love this app and I use it 5 days a week. It knows what muscles need a break and which ones need to be worked. I recommend it to anyone looking to muscle build, tone, or even lose weight. You can tell it the equipment you have available and if you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced weight lifter. You can also turn on body weight only option for when you’re on vacation or can’t get a gym. If you want a challenge and get the most out of your workouts, download Fitbod.
Love this App but..... 5/5
Absolutely love this app and how I don’t have to think about my next workout, it does the work for me.
BUT, I do wish I could add some of my own exercises.
ALSO I do feel like it is a major battery drain on my iPhone. If there is a way to limit this that would be great!
Life Changing 5/5
Thanks to Fitbod it has changed my life tremendously, has gave me purpose and has taken away the fear of being alone in a gym. Also has gave me peace of mind and keeping me occupied as I am A 3year recovering addict this app is saving my life. I’m very thankful to know that I am fully capable of protecting my family building muscle and becoming stronger, thank you fitbod you have done so much more than just teaching me what to do and how to and amazing app.
I was blown away by this app! Before this, I was using another fitness app that was also great but I felt like I was growing stagnant and there wasn’t anything that was challenging me other than increasing weight and reps. I decided to try another app and I stumbled across Fitbod and I was amazed by how much I enjoyed it! The thing that really stands out to me is that it is like having a personal trainer who is pushing you and keeping the exercise varied and fun so that you’re always growing. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the app and would recommend it to anyone who likes to do things themselves and loves customization!
Great app 4/5
By Jon Wulff
Perfect for someone who wants to follow a fitness regime and needs motivation to keep a disciplined routine. Only knock on it is sometimes the interface is very slow and laggy. There’s also a glitch in the rep count on max strength days where you can’t log more than 29 reps. I’ve found this true with several max effort day exercises.
Other than that it’s a phenomenal app. It can get better too. I’d like to see a notes section on each exercise where I can leave a reminder or a note about a specific machine, technique, or exercise. It’s really come along way since I started using it a year and a half ago. Kudos to the engineering team that designed this! Now stop reading these reviews and go get stronger already!!
