Remove content unless you pay more 1/5
App was amazing when I first downloaded it. Now they took away Premade workouts and cut the app and half unless I’m willing to pay for premium membership. Considering I paid for the app in the first place I find this to be a major joke and will be deleting this app from my phone.
How do you use this app? 1/5
I spent about 20 minutes just trying to figure out how to enter nutrition info for eating breakfast; never figured it out and gave up.
Clicking the meals icon just takes me to a list of recipes. Where do I log my food entries?
The app is constantly nagging at me to sign up for a subscription. I don’t mind paying for software, but I want to be able to try it out first. Free version of app seems to do literally nothing except advertise for paid version.
Enjoying the app 5/5
By s dub 78
I have the 29.99 subscription and I have found it to be well worth it! I worked out light for a month before finding the app and I’m glad that I found it when I did. I’m getting ready to start one of the 12 week programs and I am looking forward to it. Update to follow.
Great PT 5/5
One of the best apps I’ve ever came across. The set up is motivational within itself. It’s like you got a professional trainer at your fingertips. They also got meal plans with recipes for pertaining to your goals..
Easy work out 5/5
Great app for beginners! Love it!
Amazing App 5/5
Amazing App. I have recommended to all of my friends and unknown people.
Fitness Buddy 5/5
This app is Awesome tells you exactly how to work out to get whatever Body type you want. I just started doing it 2 months ago and have already lost 20 pounds. Thank you so much Fitness Buddy you’ve helped me more than anyone else has
Needs Apple Watch support 4/5
By Call me Gideon
Loving the app but it could be amazing if it offered Apple Watch support. Ideally if I could leave my phone in the locker at the gym and run a guided workout right off my watch the app would be perfect. Definitely a solid four star app but I can’t give it five until there’s Apple Watch support.
Crashes a lot 2/5
Why would I upgrade to premium when the app crashed on me twice during my first workout. Can’t find a way to add all of the stuff I did after the fact.
Can't try anything out 1/5
Doesn't let you do ANYTHING to test it out without popping up the "purchase" screen. How the **** am I supposed to see if I want to purchase if I can't even test out the app???
Great app! But nut for the price 3/5
By Mr. Needs
The app is Awesome. Great workouts, great plans, but then u get to the price and all of the sudden you are no longer excited to work out. Between the gym fee, the supplements, the app, eating healthy, you are honestly looking at 150.00 a month at minimum. No wonder we all a fat people in the U. S.
Strong app 5/5
This app is very helpful. It allows me to incorporate new exercises into my daily regimen. I don’t have the paid version but I would definitely buy it.
By Grovito Baby
I absolutely love this app… Need I say more if you work out there is no reason to explainAnd want to lead a healthy life… There’s no more to explain!
Great app! 5/5
This is the best mobile app for workouts I’ve ever used!
Not what I expected 1/5
I bought the app thinking I would get some great workouts for myself and my clients. After buying the app I’m expected to now pay 9.99 a month for the workouts. You can get better plans for free. Don’t waste your time or money.
Not free 1/5
Not free pushes you to pay a subscription
Paid for app to find out you have to pay additional 1/5
By Punit P.
Paid for the app to find out you can’t use unless you join their subscription service as well. $29.99 a year, would have never purchased if was informed of this.
I’m getting a refund. The page gives you the impression that you would get g things like workouts once you buy the app. At least SOMETHING, but you can virtually do nothing until you buy a subscription so you end up paying twice just to have a functioning app. Very underhanded and disappointing.
The ish 5/5
By "Da man"
Love how informative and easy it is!
Save your cash 1/5
Everything in this app can be done for far less money. Just look around on the web.
They just want your money 1/5
The reviews are by friends and workers of the company because they never say anything about it costing anything just what a great app it is but they don’t tell you that you can’t use the app without buying a plan, but the app is free to download and they say get premium when there ain’t no free version, it’s just a scam to get your money, don’t fall for it.
Great App But Can Be Improved 5/5
By Corey, L
The App is Amazing. The only improvement I’d like to see is a shopping list for the meal plans. I’m pretty busy and usually shop for a week of groceries at a time, this would be a great addition.
Used to be good 2/5
I used to love the app but now you have to upgrade to premium just to access to all the exercises they have. I think it would be cool if I could make my own custom workouts with the exercises. For free of course.
Like it. The day you skipped gym
Great But 4/5
I really enjoy the application. I have paid for the premium version and it’s pretty great. I love the options for all the workouts. I love that I can customize my workouts to fit a day or if I need a quick workout, I can add a few exercises and be done in 10 minutes.
I have to say that the one thing that needs updated.. if I could pick, is being able to add meals to future days. I plan my meals and I just to go back to the week before which messes up some of the stats.
Great app! 5/5
You get the best experience when you invest money, but there is a lot of free workouts I use too. They are great and are really helping me out.

It’s the best on the market
Good app but..... 4/5
By G. Hood Sr
Although I like the app but it doesn’t register all my steps. I JUST ran 3 1/2 miles and let just say if off by a lot the app missed about 1500 steps. Still I like the app but just take into account until this is fixed your steps are going to be off if you’re running.
Just went premium buts it's promising 4/5
I like this app but I'm only about a week in. This app took My Fitness Pal to the next level with the workouts. We'll see.
Love it 5/5

They take away features, sell them back... 1/5
By Anthony Abbott
As one who works at Apple I see this as an devolving app that I finally have to leave.
Almost nothing is available to be a functional app without some kind of subscription. It didn’t use to be like this, which is prob why the rating is so high. Now that the rating is high they’ve taken all the meat of it away to charge you more.
I’ve used this for years, even when it was under a different name. If I remember correctly it was ifitness. (Could be wrong as it’s been a while and I don’t want to bother googling it). It used to be a great resource to pick and choose and customize different workouts and customize your own. It’s become less and less intuitive, I used to see the entirety of a workout within my iPhone 5s screen. They have spread out the listing so much with all the stats you can’t birds eye view a workout anymore. Now I have to scroll so so much, even though I have an iPhone X, it’s simply lazy and unintuitive in contrast to its early builds.
I’m finally leaving. They’ve continually pulled features and tried to have you pay for simple things like workout sets. It’s so geared to a millennial sucker that’d pay for something most any fitness app has.
Clunky and didn’t meet my needs 1/5
I wanted an app to plan out work or plans for myself and work log my goals and accomplishments. The entire app is designed to sell you premium subscriptions that I’m not looking for.
Organization a plus. Calories needs improving 4/5
I really love this app for the organization factor. I’m able to go back to a date of the week and see what I worked out. This app keeps track of your reps, sets, and weight of each workout. Only downside is the calorie tracker. I rarely eat packaged foods so finding simple foods like fruit can be annoying to find. Example: I typed banana, and a big list of branded foods pop up, and an actual banana is somewhere at the bottom of the list.
Good app 4/5
I enjoyed using the app it was easy to follow and the workouts I did weren’t confusing
Trainer or not you need this app 5/5
I’ve tried various apps, gyms and trainers but nothing has kept my workouts consistent like Fitness Buddy. It’s amazing to me that others are still using less comprehensive and structured apps. Fitness Buddy gives you everything from pre-made workouts that fit your specific goals, to the ability to create your own exercise plans, to individual meal plans that will give you optimum results. This app can be your own personal trainer for a ridiculously low price. Or it can keep you on track with your trainer as I recently started doing for myself. I’ve used Fitness Buddy for almost 2 years and it just keeps getting better and better.
Good app, is there a superset option? 4/5
I purchased the premium version of the app. It’s honestly very good so far, I was pleased with the amount of exercises in the database (especially the kettlebell exercises). I also enjoy that there are stretching exercises. However, I do really wish there was a way to add a superset to my workout, especially for $30 a year.
Rip off 1/5
Bought the app a while back now I need to buy it again, but for 6x’s the original cost. Who’s to say they aren’t going to revamp again and think that the existing paid customers don’t matter and that they need to pay again in order to use an app they already purchased!!!!
I lost 166 lbs, didn’t go to the gym one time. 5/5
Had the app on another phone awhile back. I was almost 350 lbs and pre diabetic, high blood pressure, the whole gambit. Tried a few other apps but this one resonated with me, had workouts I could do at home and with minimal equipment. I started with the beginner routines and eventually worked my way up. Don’t try to start too fast, go slow, like a day working out then a couple off. But stay consistent and your energy level will rise, mine did. I started doing workouts every other day and began to pick and choose parts of different workout routines to make my own program. It was awesome. One of the aspects I liked most was for every exercise that was being done, there was an alternative to it in case you weren’t at the gym or had that specific equipment. I didn’t even weigh myself the first 6 months but knew I’d lost some and firmed up. Doc said I’d lost 78 lbs in 4 months which just spurred me on lol. I eventually lost 166 lbs over about 15 months. I felt great and was on nothing except vitamins and supplements. No blood pressure meds, no diabetic stuff nothing. This is it right here, everything you need to do whatever you want with your body. The knowledge is in this app. All you’ve got to do is motivate yourself.
Missing food planning 1/5
Revised update: sleep program missing a stop button. The first few days I woke up before the alarm I could place my finger where the stop button use to be and it would give me the hold countdown. A few times I woke before the alarm and I would have to manually shutdown the whole app to turn off sleep. Forcing the shutdown looses my sleep results for that night. Today, I am waiting 45 minutes for the alarm... Which will still give me inaccurate results!!!!
ALSO, I set a workout plan. I went to change from MWF to TWF or any other combination and I received an error.
SYSTEM IS VERY BUGGY!!! FRUSTRATED.
it only allows you to track your food calories etc AFTER you have eaten them or only for the current day. I don’t like to cook using recipes. I do want a way to plan my customized meals and calorie intake several days IN ADVANCE.
I was surprised after paying $29.95 for the app that this functionality is missing.
So far so good 5/5
Still new, but helpful so far
So far not worth the cost 2/5
I am a former gym rat that had major complications during my pregnancy and then got lazy. Daughter is now 2 1/2 and I am getting back into it. 130lbs and I want to be 110lbs.
I paid right away for premium. $29.99 for a year. So far I am not really happy. Ideally I’d like to choose a workout routine. Not just “upper, lower, full” workouts. Like...a routine I can schedule out.
Also, I had to turn the app off because my daughter had to go potty. There’s no way to return to an unfinished workout. That is extremely disappointing. It logs your workout as finished and you can’t either restart it or return.
While I know the proper way to do many of these exercises why isn’t there an option for form? And while doing them there really needs to be a modified version of each exercise. One handed push-up? Arfkm? I put beginner and you throw in one handed push-ups on day one? I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is new and frustrated with hard to do exercises. Unless you already know how to modify. If not, this is going to be very discouraging.
The meal plans seem good so far. Seems like a lot to choose from.
Love love love 5/5
I️ Love everything about this app. So many workouts and so easy to navigate.
Good if you pay. 3/5
I got this app because it was pitched as functional even if you don’t pay. NOT the case. Very limited free access, so limited I wouldn’t even bother trying. I give this 3 stars only because it appears to be a decent fitness app if you are looking to pay for one. In my opinion though, there are many more fitness apps which are a better deal for your money.
Free version is terrible 1/5
I redownloaded this app hoping it would be better, but it is even worse. The constant nagging to upgrade is a bit much. This is made worse by their in-app ad with the “x” that instead of closing the ad, opens the screen to buy the upgrade. The app freezes or is slow quite often. It is not the high-quality app that it originally was years ago.

Rip off...!! Paid $7.99 for the week and its not letting me sign in 1/5
I signed up for free trail for a week after that $7.99 per week. Free trial ended and they charge me $7.99 for the week but it saying my account not found.!!????
And i dont see any option in the app to contact support.!
It literally won’t get past the enter your birthday screen. 1/5
Free to download, otherwise... 2/5
By Dub Peezly
The app is actually pretty good, if you want to pay for it. Otherwise you have got a serious lack of exercises and features. You can’t add your own without paying. And committing to a year plan for thirty bucks is a little over the top, one month is 10 bucks.
I wish they would be able to give you a free trial of the app for a month so you could see if it’s even worth it, at least.
One last thing, Azumio should really look into adding stretches, because that is a part of the workout. Then I would have probably been more willing to try a month first.
