  • Limited 1/5

Paid for the app. It’s very limited. You can’t really change basic things like text size.
  • Good app 5/5

    By dhdjtidmand
Good app, easy to study. Love that I can upload photos to the cards, my only complaint is I would like to be able to shuffle the cards when I study....
  • Outstanding Flashcards 5/5

    By M.Lester
Easily upload hundreds of question and answer sets within minutes. Tracks progress and changes up question sequence to enhance learning. Audio connect via Bluetooth to the car stereo so I can study on my commute.
  • Happy with this app 4/5

    By rooster2467
Does what it says. The developers respond to my questions. Thank you!
  • No Export Feature 3/5

    By Seasidesell
Great Flashcard app. Easy to use. I want to have an export feature that would allow me to export my deck to MS Word or RTF format. If you have a large deck you don’t want to lose the data if your phone goes belly up. I also could not find where the deck is saved online on their site. I don’t know what the sync feature does in the app. I sync it and then login to their website and none of my study decks are available. If they had an export feature I would give this app a 5 Star.
  • Idk it’s tricky 1/5

Why this app won’t allow you to print the Flashcards? Does anyone have any suggestions which app allow you to print your Flashcards? I
  • Has potential 4/5

    By Aerophile83
I downloaded this app to help me study for a promotion at work. Here’s the pros and cons. Pros: Additional features are inexpensive compared to its competitor. Has the ability to change colors, bold, italicize, underline, and strike through text all at a nominal one time fee. There’s no subscription. It’s easy to use and navigate. You can organize your subjects into folders. You can even add photos to your cards. Cons: As I said the app has potential. I’d like to see the ability to create and edit flashcards online through a website. That might increase the cost of the additional features but if it’s a reasonable one time purchase I would gladly pay it. I’d also like to see the ability to change font sizes and create bullet point and number style lists. Ultimately, this app has a good quality to price ratio unlike its competitor who charges 20 bucks for a yearly subscription. I submitted a question to the developer and got a response back just an hour or two later. Throw in a few of those enhancements and you’ll turn a really good app into a really great app.
  • Love it 5/5

    By moon21101
Wonderfully simple design. Just focus on learning :)
  • AWESOME! 5/5

    By Tsedeniya
This app has helped me soooooo much! I have many tests and this app comes in so handy. I used to make paper flash cards but I don’t anymore. All I do is fill it out and flip. It’s THAT easy! I love this app so much!
  • Life Saver 5/5

    By DaBoss9326
I am a huugggee procrastinator!! And I didn’t study for a test that is today.. I used this app and now I have it engraved into my head thanks sooo much!!! I love this app!!
  • Simple and easy. 5/5

    By Markdev
Great program!! Does exactly what I want.
  • Great but need one feature. 3/5

    By FifiFabulous
Love the app so far but I would like to be able to input the card info on my laptop/desktop. Phone keypads are just too slow and error prone. I suggest you create a website using our current account credentials that allows input of the card front/back. Use the sync function to download to mobile devices. Thanks for all your work on this app. DD
  • Amazing! But add Split Screen support... 4/5

    By Anndriel
This app is the best Flashcards app I’ve ever used! The things I like the best over other Flashcard apps are: + Native speech to text in app option to read the flashcards to you + Formating (for the future, haven’t bought the upgrade yet) But the sad disadvantages are (And features I would like added): - No Split-Screen Support - No Multi-Choice Card Option - Option to add descriptions to a picture for the in app speech to text to read That is all for my review, hope these features get added someday!
  • Good at first, but now unreliable 3/5

    By unhappyUCDstudent
The app has been helpful for memorizing information for my classes but now it is not able to load the decks and is continually sucking my battery power and data trying to get those decks to load. And randomly while trying to work or edit or create a new deck it will freeze and then chit me out of the app. And everything I just fixed or created in the last minute didn’t save. Would really like Chegg to look into the problem and see if they can fix the glitch.
  • How it could be better 4/5

    By cronic studyier
It is a great way to study. I just wished you could transfer cards from in one deck to other decks within the same category.
  • One of the better Flashcards apps I’ve used 4/5

    By saba408
Easy to use and has many of the desirable features I look for in a flashcard app! One thing that would make it even better is functionality to work with the Apple Pencil/other stylus type pens so you can write or draw directly onto your flashcards. I’ve found a few other apps that have this feature, but Chegg’s straightforward interface and short learning curve won out over those. I don’t have time to learn how to use an app that’s supposed to help me learn, so a simple interface is a big perk. I also appreciate that I can trust Chegg isn’t going to lose my data. I switched over to another flashcard app temporarily that lost all of my decks the day before my final. To say I’m livid is an understatement. I re-downloaded this app and saw all my older decks are still safely where I last saw them.
  • Its awesome 4/5

    By Itstheboichris
    Its nice and simple
  • Crashing!!!! 1/5

    By apadilla14
I used to love this app and I have sworn by it and have told many people to get it because it’s amazing. However, recently I’ve been studying and it super laggy and crashes/freezes/kicks me out of the app. Super frustrating because finals are around the corner!!! Currently would not recommend...
  • Why I repeatedly have to log?? But still Great app 5/5

    By Supercelluradick007
Why i always havr to log in via facebook repeatedly??????? Its getting annoyed. Tried many apps like this but still this is the best
  • Great but missing something 4/5

    By Bonami0
I have been creating my own flashcard and tried to delete a card and ended up deleting a deck by mistake. Now I cant seem to bring it back because there is no trash or delete place to retrieve it and cant review for my test. I think it is best if you add a trash or delete like an email app has so that people can retrieve a deck or card they mistakenly deleted. Now i cant review and prepare for it.
  • Stopped working 5/5

    By Tomaboy67
It was working fine, I was using it on my iPad and phone and now it refuses to work on my phone but works perfectly fine on my iPad. I’ve tried reopening the app, signing in and out, deleting the app, then re-downloading it, updating the app, updating my phone, and turning my phone on and off again. The app either won’t let me click on any of my flash cards, it’s like frozen, or the app closes by its self, if someone could help me, that would be great. I really love this app but no one has been able to help.
  • Failure on Support and watchOS 2/5

    By GrinchMonkey
I was hoping to find a way to quickly make my own cards to get through this semester and make notes on my phone and use my watch but the app is too limited or does not allow additional scrolling to complete text when compared to the news apps they allow for quite a bit of info/text to display with some scrolling as well as photos. Also tried to change Front to Back but app only shows the Front side on the watch. Such a bummer. Plus can’t go back to a previous card, would be nice to swipe forward and back then check off the card. Tried to contact support but all the redirects or website ask to type questions I never can make contact. Why can’t there be a simple contact support and get me me there. Frustrating!!! This whole ecosystem really blows.
  • Sharing flashcards 3/5

    By bj00243
How do I share flashcards in the app? I keep getting an error message
  • Chegg Flashcards 5/5

    By Business-Minded
    Excellent! I love them!
  • Great App! 5/5

    By Alishea04
I love this for studying! I would like to know if there is a way to print my note cards!?
  • Closes out of study session if left idle 2/5

If you’re studying a fairly large deck (100+), and let it remain idle for a while and come back to it, it exits the deck and makes you start over. This forces you to have to repeat cards if you were originally wanting to get through all the cards in the deck.
  • No longer good 1/5

    By Allnicknamesaretaken001
Forced to make an account to use the app then it won’t load past that screen really felt zucced on this one
  • Audio issue 2/5

    By Briannabrianna
Good app but when using the default iPhone voice over (better quality than chegg’s) the visible card and the cards near it are all read at once, rather than one at a time.
  • An amazing app ! 5/5

    By Jaelyn Fleury
I give this five stars because it is a free app , has unlimited study cards, and easy to generate , and has very easy access.I recommend this app to anyone who really needs to study last minute or study in general !
  • Great app and we just need one more feature 4/5

    By NY_PornStar
It would be awesome if the app supports drag and drop so that I can open this app while opening my photo and be able to just drag the photo onto one side of the flash card instead of manually add them one by one
  • iPhone X screen support? 1/5

    By Theprocode10
  • This app WAS good 5/5

    By IrishBlackHeartt
This app was great till about 10 minutes ago when I realized that you can’t shuffle the cards in your deck. After I made 350 note cards. What good is studying cards in the same order every time? What a useless app.
  • Great flashcard app 4/5

    By NoahThirteen
Some problems here and there but overall quite good.
  • Time for iPhone X integration 4/5

    By wstbln
I like the app but I would appreciate a iPhone X support
  • Please add this feature 3/5

    By Old_novice
Creating my own deck using the flash card interface is excruciatingly tedious. I would like to prepare my flashcards using a text editor and/or a spreadsheet then import them into a flash card back. Please add this capability.
  • Great app. Needs way to import Flash Cards from Spreadsheet 3/5

    By GTD Meister
    Lots of fancy features.
  • $5 premium is a joke. Limited app. Choose another. 1/5

    By {deleted}
(context: I am in medical school) {Get Quizlet, Anki, or FlashcardHero instead} Other apps offer much more for much less. This is a severely limited flashcard app. It is cramped and feels like it was a group project where one person (the one in charge of creating category icons and colors) worked really hard, while the rest of the developers (the flashcard and studying portions of the app) phoned it in. You cannot change the font size when typing out flashcards, so you have to keep scrolling up to see what you typed. Premium (FIVE DOLLARS) only lets you make things bold, underlined or italicized, or color and change fonts. It DOES NOT LET YOU RESIZE TEXT. The fact that there are 50+ colors you can choose from for the categories, yet you cant even change text size is hilarious. Plus, you cannot paste images, you have to save them to your camera roll and allow them ‘read and write’ access to your photos. Multiple choice options do not exist. This app is not worth the money. Get a more thought-out app like Anki or Flashcard Hero. I would 100% like a refund, please.
  • Not Quite That Good 4/5

    By Sparkaline
This is an added update to my previous review because I just paid for the upgrade and was hoping for the ability to print as well as the option to change the card color. Just throwing ideas at chá;) I’ll tell you all why and that is that after some time Apps at the App store no-longer work, are compatible or the developer forgets about it because they can no-longer afford it. This brings me to a point in this App that needs to be in the next update and that is the ability to share, save and/or print the cards made. Why? Simple if the App no-longer works all the cards made will be lost. If the cards can be saved or printed so an index card file can be created the process of studying can still be accessible even if the developer loses the App. At this point in-order to share or keep the cards made the App is needed. Printing would be a major plus.
  • crashing and losing flashcards is not fun! 4/5

    By kklols
man i love this app to help me learn things quick but when it consistently has a problem of crashing when i'm making a lot of flashcards at a time... it's so infuriating. when i've made 30 flashcards and the app crashes and deletes half of them... i'm not happy. and this has happened multiple times in the 2 years i've used this app. please fix this 😩. I use the picture functionality a lot of the time so it may have to do with that, i'm not sure.
  • Good but one question 5/5

    By Redpuppie123
This helps me out big time but is there a way to shuffle the cards so they are more randomized. Edit: Developer responded. Thanks man
  • I love this app! 5/5

    By Cnrnceincirnc
This app is a very easy app to use and organize your Flashcards on. Get this app!
  • Crashed app and lost everything - follow up has been more frus 1/5

    By Rickvig1488
REGARDING THE FOLLOW UP FROM CHEGG FOR THE POST BELOW In response to my post I have now received a response asking I give details regarding my issue and the chegg team would help in the resolve of the issue. I did tis to get a response that as I have already done the simple troubleshooting there is nothing more they can do to help other than let me know that the can not advise me when their technical support team will even review my problem much less have it resolved and to just keep trying the simple remedies in hopes at some time something will magically fix itself. It has now been over 2 weeks with no hope in sight of getting the problem fixed. I strongly recommend against using this app or company for any study needs. ORIGINAL POST I once thought that this was a good app until it crashed, forced me to change my password, and now will not sync my flashcards again. I have used the app for 4 or 5 semesters now and all that work is gone. I have reached out to chegg support who have only been able to advise me to change the password (which is not helping) and uninstall / reinstall the app (which is no help). They said they upgraded the issue to their programming team, but It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not heard back from them regarding resolving the issue. Their customer support is little to no help at all. It is very frustrating that all the flashcards made throughout the semester and past ones are just gone. I would highly recommend not using this app, for the simple fact that you can’t have trust in them, but sign up for quizlet instead. Quizlet also offers a free option, but I would suggest even paying the $20 fee for the yearly membership for all the options available through quizlet in studying rather than use the chegg app as a study option. Best of luck to anyone who uses this app.
  • Great app!!! 5/5

    By BellaLinda360
Easy to use, customizable, aesthetically appealing. Best flash card app I've seen and used. Just wish there was an Android version for my phone. Definitely recommend!
  • Can't make account to create any more cards 1/5

    By A panicking student
I have a test tomorrow and while trying to make cards to study, the app informed me that I need to make a pro-account in order to continue making cards. The problem is, when I try to make an account, it repeatedly responds with an error message. It says "give us a minute and then try again". I've been trying for the past half hour and I've got squat. I've been using Chegg without a pro-account for two years and been perfectly fine with it, even preferred it to other Flashcards apps. But it repeatedly fails me when I need my Flashcards the most, that's when I put my foot down. I'm immediately downloading a new app and will not use Chegg again until this issue is resolved.
  • Easily one of the best apps out there 5/5

    By Ajskfleh
Aside from being able to sort the cards alphabetically, this app is a perfect study companion to students all over the world. Definitely the best note card app available.
  • Very Satisfied 5/5

    By Ponzu 2018
Great app, no hidden gimmicks just an honest attempt at helping a student reach their goals for studying. Absolutely love this app.
  • Excellent app 5/5

    By tahbur
    Useful for memorizing terms.

    By Dsab24
I would love to give this app 5 stars however for the iPad user for school having a Split screen function is a must also adding an app for the iMac would also be amazing. As far as using the app on my iPhone I love it, it works great. Simple to use, fast, organized, and easily changeable. PLEASE MAKE A SPLIT SCREEN FUNCTION FOR IPAD. PLEASSSSEEEE. - I would be willing to pay for the update if that’s what it takes.
  • Wow! So helpful!! 5/5
