Flo Period Tracker & Calendar app reviews

  • GO PREMIUM… 2/5

    By Jay :)))))))
One of my most favorite apps ever when it comes down to menstrual health, now it’s just like ever other app making you go premium in order to get more insight. It says the basics are available for the free version, however, it’s little to nothing…
  • DONT DO IT 1/5

    By Missmb23
28 days to cancel your membership…ridiculous. They are selling your data
  • Weird. 1/5

    By manimtrynagocrazy
it’s really ridiculous that you have to REQUEST to delete your account. i seriously don’t have the right to delete my account without asking permission first? and they say it’ll take up to 30 days to delete my account. why? just weird
  • Don’t like how they block everything now 3/5

    By Ggrgvmjf
It’s disappointing how they blocked how the information on symptoms, news and predictions on the app behind a pay wall. Before it was just the last three and we were able to at least see a basic version of what you may be experiencing. Just disappointing
  • Use to like this app 1/5

Don’t waste your time off you’re not planning on paying for the full version don’t download use to be good now the app is trash
  • Annoying 1/5

    By hdbesindjssjsu
If you want to pay for this app, that’s fine. If you don’t want to pay for this app, it will show a popup every hour and every time you enter the app telling you to purchase it. Extremely annoying.
  • Greedy Developers - READ THIS 1/5

    By MonicaSM95
Apparently Flo recently settled a lawsuit with the FTC for leaking our private info to Facebook, here’s an excerpt from a news article: “…the fertility tracking app had informed Facebook of in-app activity — such as when a user was having their period or had informed it of an intention to get pregnant. It did not find any way for Flo users to prevent their health information from being sent to Facebook.” “The app only stopped leaking users’ health data following the negative press coverage, it added.” If it seems like they’re only trying to get your money, you’re right. This company is greedy and scummy and I’ve finally made the decision to delete it after finding this out. The free Apple Health app seems to have the same features if not better and they are very strict about your privacy. Please switch to that instead! Don’t bother asking for improvements in a review, they will just give you an automated answer. They do not care.

  • Disgusting 1/5

    By Luvy_Lolaxo
Hey! I used Flo for about the year but I think i’ll stick to my calendar now. Its extremely sick how our provate information is being constantly recorded, tracked, trafficked, and sent directly to the government. So what people want to use condoms or want an abortion. That is life and you cannot control that. How about if you were physically or mentally incapable of giving birth to a human. A human? I hate how its a bunch of white old men who make this decision for us women. We are not yours anymore. We are our own people, for the love of god please do not use this app. Adding on to this I would like to comment the the pressure to use the premium feature. When you get the app they constantly remove features with their updates and tell you to purchase the premium option in order to get it back. This app is truly sickening and I hope that those white old men realize what their doing is sick and that no teenager deserves to give birth if they are not prepared for it. No woman should give birth if they are not prepared for it. I will be taking my business somewhere else. I am truly unsatisfied and I hope that this business completely fails.
  • DO NOT USE FLO. 1/5

    By RandomStudent100
So, I’ve had this app for 3 years and what I’ve just heard disgusts me. With the recent anti-abortion laws passing throughout many states, it has been discovered that Flo sells your data to the GOV and other people for money. They can track your location and even get you put on watch if you say that you’re pregnant, and even get you arrested if you plan on getting an abortion. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT USE FLO!!
  • I want to love it 1/5

    By B79ee23
I want to love this app but I can’t. I have a semi irregular period and would love to have access to insights about why that is or if my other symptoms could mean pregnancy. Every time the health assistant flashes like it’s going to help you, it drags you through lots of precursor text, tells you it’s going to SELL YOUR DATA (payment) then says that that feature is only for Premium members and asks you to subscribe. What a disappointment, really feels like bait and switch tactics. Also makes this app far less usable for someone like me. I am already agreeing to you selling my data which someone pays you for so why are you also asking me to pay you more money?

The period apps like this are selling ur cycle to the government, Abortion is becoming illegal in many, many states, DO NOT, TELL THESE APPS IF YOUR PREGO! ESPECIALLY IF UR TERMINATING UR PREG! THEY'll USE THIS INFO TO ARREST YOU! PLEASE SPEAD AWARENESS. Instead, use the Period Tracker App Clue, that app doesn't sell ur cycle.
  • ANNOYING 1/5

Can yall stop shoving the subscription ad down my throat? I click X everyday and EVERYDAY it pops back up. It’s so annoying, quit being money hungry during tough times ALREADY jesus christ.

Can’t feel safe even tracking your period now a days.
  • It’s good but customizing options would make it great 3/5

    By smhobo
For general tracking it’s good. And it has a lot of preset options but here is what I would like to see to make it great. 1) options to add symptoms. Physical, emotional whatever. The presets are good and helpful but each of us is different so a way to make it match my specifics would be great. I’d love to be able to add some like: teary, forgetful, stabbing pain in addition to cramps. 2) being able to edit meds besides birth control. I can’t delete meds I’ve added or change the time or anything. It makes that section unusable. 3) to turn the Flo assistant off. I don’t want her and she pops up EVERY time I’m trying to record. Have an option to turn her off. It is soooo annoying. It makes the app lag and I don’t need her help.
  • Don't get!! 1/5

    By mad instagram person
Too many ads not enough actual available options. They also sell your private data so I suggest getting Stardust instead 🙃
  • Great App, but About the in App Purchases 4/5

    By MLDel27
I love this app and how thoroughly it was keeping track of your specific healths. However, you have to pay for an entire subscription to use the actual app and its contents and that’s not exactly clear in the description. Before I was ok with it, but I have decided to stop. All I wanted to do is track my cycle and I don’t want to have to pay for just doing that when I have other resources.
  • Thanks 5/5

    It’s great
  • Data collection 1/5

    By sacmw
It takes 28 days (seriously) to cancel an account and Flo first requires you to email them the following: Phone number Birth year Time zone Date you started using the account Last cycle logged
  • delete the app 1/5

    By 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
delete this app, they sell your information. zuckerburg and co have your cycle tracked. in light of recent events you can all see why this is so scary and insane. consider deleting the app.
  • DO NOT USE 1/5

    selling your data!!! google it!!

    By mariluv013
deleting my account and switching to Stardust because they don’t sell their users data
  • Do Not Download 1/5

    By stanleynotswan
Even if they aren’t selling our data (which they are) it’s best to keep your schedule somewhere only you know (i.e. a physical calendar, Notes, Google Docs under a code word)
  • Trash! 🗑 1/5

    By CinnaMinn_Roll
I knew this app had major glitches if you aren’t willing to pay for subscription. Such as water intake, information storage, due date calculations, to name a few. Then I found they are selling private information….definitely out! Don’t waste time, just delete and pursue other options!
  • It is a decent app but.. 4/5

    By ajadew03
Most of the utilities that the app has you can not access without paying money. There is some aspects of the app that is awesome and has some things other apps don’t. It is a good app for tracking your period but I no longer use it. This app could be perfect for someone else but it isn’t the right app for me. So I went to delete my account. You have to request it to be deleted and they have yet to delete my account. I have now requested twice that my account is deleted and I’m waiting for it to happen.
  • Flo sells your data 1/5

    By Niko_Go_Rawr;)<3
Flo collects and sells your data. Be careful with this app, especially when womens right are being overturned…
  • Love the app, hate the privacy concerns given the new abortion laws in the US 1/5

    By alanarobbins
Unless this app becomes HIPAA compliant, there’s just way too much risk in having data about your cycle/location available to be subpoenaed by the government. I’ve used it for years, but it’s just not worth the risk anymore.

    By hzisnn
This app does not keep your information private
  • It’s the little things 4/5

    By nature nina
As someone who lives life on the phone this app is easy to use for tracking. I like seeing a range of ovulation and period dates. Nothing is an exact science when people are so unique. I also appreciate the dev notes in the updates. PS I hope the customer service team hydrates and sees a tree today too.
  • Flo sold user data 1/5

    By Standwithwomen
Please don’t use this app! They are involved in a lawsuit for selling user data.
  • Won’t use anymore 3/5

    By rach1134586960783
The pop ups in this app have become too much. Why do the creators think a women on her period want to see 3 different ads before even being able to see my calendar to add my period days? It’s infuriating. I also have found a different app that has promised to not sell my data which is very important to me in the on going times. It’s a good app conceptually but I won’t be using it anymore.

  • Don’t go for premium, or use at all 2/5

    By misscarriebabyy
I’ve used this app for 2-3 years now. It started out quite helpful. I have paid for the premium version, up until now. The unhelpful runaround with the “insights” are frustrating and waste of time. There is rarely any helpful insights about your symptoms that you just fed the system for 3-10min. I’ve felt like the app was gathering info for a while, and now that there is word of (?) our info from this app is shared to larger companies and tracking makes sense. If our info, location, ect is shared that is HIGHLY terrifying and a HUGE concern for me. Back to old calendar tracking for me

    By Alaska🐱
Just found out they sell your data. Deleted but downloaded an app called Stardust. It was made by this girl on tiktok and it’s encrypted and they don’t sell your data. It also incorporates astrology which is fun
  • Great but could use a few more things 1/5

    By lilspoon
Needs moon cycles because that’s how my period and ovulation is synced and tracked. I think it should also be more queer friendly. I don’t need to track pregnancy risk or protected/unprotected sex. REWRITING MY REVIEW TO SAY DELETE THIS APP IF YOU LIVE IN A U.S. STATE THAT HAS BANNED ABORTION

Flo set my cycle to 24 days and NOT 28 days. I didn’t notice until it was already too late. I just found out I’m pregnant with my second baby on MY birthday. You did me dirty, Flo. Now I’m pregnant.

  • lacking. 3/5

    By corn cob boys dad
useful for period tracking, and some of the chats are quite lovely, but there are definitely a lot of issues. for starters, there’s the fact that you can’t get most information without having a subscription. i get having some stuff behind a paywall, but it’s quite literally almost everything at this point. there’s also a large lack of inclusive language, which i only mention because they have anonymous chats specifically for gender/sexuality topics. it seems a lot like playing both sides. and on that topic, there is very little regulation in those chats when it comes to actually harmful things. saying “crap” gets a comment deleted, but blatant ignorance and hatred gets to roam free.

They sold my period data to Zuckerberg. They make it difficult to delete your data and account.
  • Sells your info 1/5

    By CNM07131990
Sells your information to private citizens. This is especially alarming in today’s battle against women’s reproductive rights.

This app tracks you and your data. Delete this app and download Stardust to keep your heath information safe from government access.

I’ve used this app for years. Never had issues till I switched phones about a year ago and needed to Re download the app again. For some reason no matter what I do I will not allow me to insert my Flo. I’ve deleted the app, made a new account, and I even went to check if I could add that section into the what I wanted to mark every time my period comes and I’m able to select it, but once saved it disappears. Because of this, I can no longer use this app. Super thankful I’ve never paid for premium. UPDATE. I reached out to the app and communication was great in the beginning, they suggested 1 option to try and resolve my issue and never responded back after I told them it didn’t work. Reached out again days later to ask for help again and NOTHING!

  • This works great but… 4/5

    By Tomboybella4life
So I am 11 (yes I’m underage for the app and I will get to that) and I just started my period. This app is very nice but I feel like you should make a child mode for kids under 13 that have started their period, because I couldn’t find any that were good for me because they all said I had to be older, which makes me feel very sad because I feel weird that I started young, so I have trouble with using this app because it occasionally asks about my sex life, but I’m 11! I had to put that I was 13 because it wouldn’t allow me to use it! The community is great and leaves very helpful tips for us ladies/Men/Non-binarys! If you aren’t a female, but we’re born one so you still get your period, you are welcome in this app! Everyone supports you!!
