Flowbird parking app reviews

  • Parking App 5/5

    By Moskue
Say to set up, easy to use. Takes 30 seconds.
  • Great app 5/5

    By linkowl
This app is very reliable and works great for the city that I live at!
  • Only good if you’re incredibly desperate 1/5

    By pissedatsepta
If the parking meters in west chester PA weren’t literally unusable, I would not use this app. It’s slow, buggy, and inconvenient. Especially if you’re in a rush.
  • Not self explanatory 3/5

    By LBBSW
Nowhere that I find on the app does it explain that Flagstaff is all one zone. Once you know to click on the purple bubble and to not try to figure out exactly where you are, it’s a snap and super convenient!
  • Logs me out constantly 2/5

    By JPost27
The Oauth is messed up when logging in with apple so it keeps logging me out while using it. I’d happily rate this 5 stars if it worked well but it’s practically unusable in this state
  • Cant find my location in app 🤷🏽‍♀️ 1/5

    By Mar314!
Difficult to navigate. Cant find my location on app and it wont let me put in the zone code the flow bird parking meter has.
  • How does this silly app work? 1/5

    By Smwyzard
Still can’t figure out how this works. Should be easy just like Way to Park was. I have no idea how to tell it to park. It just comes up somehow. I really hate this app.
  • Gay and stupid 1/5

    By Hush dusk
    Homosexual and retarded
  • Favorites 4/5

    By Handsome hoy
I can not give this app 5 stars because I am unable to “favorite” stations and zones
  • These kinds of parking systems... 1/5

    By JZ in Pismo
Who's paying off the mayor and city council to have such an unwieldy, consumer unfriendly system in our little town?
  • Unreliable 1/5

    By JerryBoy2016
My friend and I both bought two hours on the app and paid. We never got our 15 minute warnings from the app even though notification permissions were on. We checked the app at the time our parking payments were supposed to end only to find no history of purchase, however both of our cards were charged. We received parking tickets.
  • App 3/5

    By Kate Oscar5
This a complicated way to pay for what should be simple. You had better have good security because you ask for a lot of private info. All that’s needed is space #, how long your paying for, and a way to pay using PayPal (for privacy).
  • Parking meter keeps flashing “Expired”. 3/5

    By Hollow11
I used Flowbird for the first time. After I entered the zone, time period for the parking session, plus payment authorization, the parking meter kept flashing “Expired”. This created uncertainty on my part whether I completed the process correctly. It would have been helpful if your FAQ section would provide guidance on what users should expect to see on the meter once parking session has started. Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback.
  • Trash app 1/5

    By ebot305
I’ve used many pay by phone parking apps (local beach’s like to switch every year so nobody can notice a price change) and this is definitely one of my least favorites. Many times I’ve spent stuck in the parking lot trying to get on to the beach but every time I try and pay my app either crashes or gives me an error code. This is particularly detrimental when the only form of payment some area take is through this app which only works a fraction of the time.
  • Ditto 1/5

Completely agree with Reid C.’s review from April 3
  • Great App 4/5

    By Dan in
App is great, 4 stars because I wish you could change cars at checkout.
  • Way too complicated gave up after 15 minutes 1/5

    By bman01
This app is way too complicated, asking for codes and zones and still not working. Just pay at the machine. It is cheaper anyway.
  • Cant park multiple 1/5

    By Usernametaken111
Forced to use this app which takes a fee for itself rather than paying a park employee. Standing around with a line with people spending more time using this app than a proper pay station or employee. Unable to park multiple cars in the same lot under one account or not marked clearly how. Old system worked way better, more funds kept in the city.
  • Horrible app 1/5

    By marshni
I am logged in and paid for parking with credentials saved. People don’t realize there is an extra step to purchase. All of a sudden I need to log in again and it won’t accept my credentials. No email to reset password even tho I received the email that I paid. No notification that time expired. Terrible app!
  • Meters not working 1/5

    By LF2022
This is the fourth time I try to use the meters in Dc on 18th street and California and they aren’t working. It took my credit cards payment but didn’t produce a receipt. Yesterday, there were 3 people in line after me who tried as well and same issue. Are you going to reimburse me for the parking tickets?
  • Convenience fee? 1/5

    By Deupdate
This is ridiculous, for a $.50 parking fee. The app charges you an extra $.30
  • Credit card support needs to be fixed 2/5

    By DDCouch1
When setting up an account you cannot load a credit card. It says you can load a credit card on your 1st Parking transaction. When you make your 1st transaction it does not allow you to enter a credit card. It then indicates that it is authorizing your transaction with the Bank which of course fails because it has no data to work with. The rest of the UX/UI interface is great but until the financial interface is fixed the app is useless!
  • Junk 1/5

    By Wwrryybbb
    Wouldn’t work.
  • Account settings 1/5

    By bigfrud
Why can’t I add a payment method when setting up the account? Why do I have to wait until I start a parking session. Who thought this was a good idea?
  • Bad. 1/5

    By vlzk
It’s the kind of app you are forced to use, and somehow they decide that you will be more than happy doing a bunch of steps instead of just paying and be done with it. Even paying, the core functionality of this app is unbelievably bad. I had to try a bunch of cards until one works, no useful error message. And let’s not talk about all the crashes that get you back to the login screen while you just try to pay for a parking spot. That app is only allowed to exist because some cities made the bad choice of using them.

    Pretty easy to set up
  • Worse app ever 1/5

    By Betsyhappy1
Difficult to use, location doesn’t show up. Why can’t everyone just use ParkMobile
  • Jim Thorpe, PA 5/5

    By LinMazz
Very easy to follow instructions. I like how you can add more time.
  • Clunky 1/5

    By Tiki Tucan
This app is not user friendly. Really difficult to reserve
  • Parking meter and app 3/5

    By melkthomas
The app should be set to cut off at 8 pm as that is the latest someone needs to pay not 10pm that is ripping people off and making those who don’t know it pay longer which is not the right thing to do
  • Not explanatory 1/5

    By nanna 57
Trying to use this at Fort DeSoto Beach . Doesn’t show the kiosk that we worship to park at. Did tell you how to pay, would have thought it connected right to Apple account. No you have to enter info. They would have charged us 30.00 if I hadn’t caught it. Not user friendly. We will pay at the kiosk.
  • Quite possibly…. 1/5

    By I loathe flowb
The worst idea I’ve ever seen. Totally dysfunctional. And I’m sugarcoating
  • Awful 1/5

    By Delane G.
    This app is garbage
  • Don’t waste your time 1/5

    By Jon21290
Literally the worst designed app I have ever used. Don’t waste your time. The meter will take less time and doesn’t have a service fee.
  • Hard to use 1/5

    By jokes on user
This a is an absolute joke. The joke is on the user
  • Horrible 1/5

    By _skepticL
Worst app I have ever used. Geolocation doesn't work. Site not found. If I could go lower than 1 star I would. Horrible.
  • could be 2/5

    By Kingston113
could be great if it allowed custom time. instead makes you pay by the hour. also there’s no assurance that your car will be recognized as paid, ie no explanation how it works with your local meter police. otherwise app is easy to use.
  • Don’t extend park time. 3/5

    By Don’t extend time.
FLOWBIRD app. is confusing to use first time. Easy to extend the parking time but not clear how to REDUCE IT if you don’t want to extend.
  • 360 in Austin downtown 1/5

    By shirleysyu
We are here at the parking lot, parking space 413, but the app would not take my zone code 413. This is ridiculously difficult! We are leaving!
  • Warning ticket 1/5

    By Radio Sparks
I parked my car and paid for 3 hours of parking. When I returned to my vehicle I found a warning ticket on the windshield. I paid the Flowbird Parking system at 10:51 AM and the 3 hours I paid for was good until 1:51 PM. The warning ticket was issued at 11:31AM. The parking fees were paid 40 minutes before the warning ticket was issued. I still had 2 hours and 20 minutes left on the 3 hours of paid parking. I drove to Flagstaff City Hall to talk with the city clerk and he told me that this is NOT a city problem but a Flowbird Parking Application problem. I would like a full refund of $3.35 and Flowbird to fix the poor communication and coordination with the City of Flagstaff.
  • Renew parking 2/5

    By chapjian family
This thing is stupid. You can’t extend your parking session. You have to wait for your parking session to end and then do it over again. Depending on when you started the session it could end at midnight and then you’d have to start another session in the middle of the night. How hard could it be to adjust the software to allow renewal before your session is finished.
  • Parking session 2/5

    By usapokemon
You should provide an early cancelation option. You want to make more money this way. It is a cheap skate. You should make money by providing services not by small tricks.
  • Restrictive parking rules 1/5

    By ohmycmonbruh
If they update the application so we can choose down to the minutes of our parking id make this 5 stars. Only being able to do hour increments is too limited for a lot of us who may need an hour and ten min or so.
  • Glitchy 2/5

    By EB Review
Poor interface, glitchy performance and awful to get set up
  • Terrible UI 1/5

    By nicknames are obsolete
First time use. It walks me through a 9 step tutorial I don’t want, the skip button doesn’t work, swipe left/right doesn’t work, I have to ploddingly click the tiny right arrow 9 times. Now the only thing I can do is add vehicle, but I have to tap add vehicle, then ANOTHER add vehicle, to do that. Then select zone, select time (this one step had a nice UI I will acknowledge, the time dial works well). Then, time to pay. Doesn’t accept Apple Pay which would be easy, wants me to fill out a web form with credit card, which doesn’t work with my password manager or auto fill either (!) so I have to ploddingly fill out credit card details manually. By the time I finish, I paid for 30 mins parking and it says 26 minutes left, yes the 3 minutes I spent on clunky app interactions came out of my parking session. Not impressed.
  • Saved Parking Zones? 1/5

    By ncy
How do you store zones as favorites? Can’t find how to do it. Always have to find my town and zone! When I running late especially‼️‼️ Please add this feature or tell me where it is and I will give you a much better score 😉
  • F 1/5

  • Great payment App! 5/5

    By BillOKC
I use Flowbird for parking payments. Very convenient. I like how I can add time remotely to my nearest meter using my smartphone. No more feeding coins into a parking meter!
