Great in concept. 3/5
Love the class. The sound wasn’t picked up by my mic all the time and I had to replay notes to get them to register 🙁
More hymns 4/5
More gospel, and hymns.
It isn’t free 1/5
I know a little about piano and was looking for a FREE app to play and learn piano. But I soon found out that I only get FOUR BEGINNER SONGS! I recommend NOT getting this app since it’s $9.99 per month to get all the songs. I think that if they want to be more successful they should find another way to get money instead of making this app impossible to play without money.
Great app 4/5
Four stars because i love this app, it has helped me learn piano after always wishing I knew how to play. The only thing I wish was available is some sort of calibration for the notes the real piano is playing. The one I use is slightly out of tune, so the app does not always pick up that I am playing the right key which makes the interactive learning harder. Overall, very good way to learn some piano for the first time!
Fantastic app!! 5/5
This app makes learning to play the piano so easy and so much fun! Fantastic song selection and I love that there are three different levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Best app of its kind by far!!
Good, but room for improvement 4/5
Overall this is a great app. If they could just fix a few bugs, like when you hit the correct key, but it doesn’t register, it would get 5 stars.
Didn't work at all 1/5
This app is an absolute piece of garbage. It didn't recognize any of the notes I played, please fix this so I can actually give piano a shot you idiots.
Great App, Definetly Reccomend it!!! 5/5
This app really teaches u how to play, even with no experience!!! The only thing I would recommend is for the sound recognition to become a bit better😃
So good!😁 5/5
As reviewed by my son: "This app was very helpful and I learned how to play "When the Saints Go Marching In" in minutes! It's way of teaching is great!"
Great till you have to pay. 4/5
I was a New At piano and I wanted to use an app to figure it out. I use this one and I love the way they laid it out for you but eventually you have to pay to get further.
Great app but Slow note recognition 4/5
Really like the setup and content of this app. It has a Excellent variety of songs, good arrangements for various levels and a nice pace. It lost one star for its very slow note recognition. I often have to wait or play a note twice before the app picks it up an moves on. Please make this note recognition delay the focus of future updates as it is incredibly frustrating to a student. I am working on an iPad Pro so it’s not hardware related.
Really enjoying it so far 5/5

Learn some dang piano ya nerds!
You’ll be learnin’ more songs than you can shake a stick at.
I found this app awful. You can’t play a single song without paying a ridiculous fee. Bring it down to a couple dollars and add a few free songs. It was an absolute waste of storage and time. What a useless app. Will never support you by paying the fees.
Great to get you back in the game 4/5
Only criticism is I wish there was access to the sheet music separate from learning mode or the flow-key mode
Good but got some problems 3/5
When I play the right note it doesn’t load and I have to play the note again
The app is cool but it’s kind of pricey. I wish I could afford more lessons :(
Excellent concept and works better than I expected 5/5
This app is excellent for practicing music. It allows you to loop a section and the microphone pics up sound very well.
There are times when it is a little buggy, but regardless I’ve seen a huge improvement in my playing. If you can sit down and play, it’s like having somewhere there to help you practice.
There are some features that I wish were available, like the ability to toggle on and off which notes are supposed to be play next so that you can practice reading the notes yourself. I also wish there was the ability to add markers and save your progress. These are minor things though and overall I’m very happy with the way this app works.
It’s great. 5/5

I’m actually left handed, so is there a left-handed version or do I have to force myself to use my right hand?
The Best Musical 5/5
Very good!Like the lessons tons.Thank you for creating so thoughtfully,I have never found a app great as this!
Sorry, but this app keeps speeding up and slowing down in simple songs where this should not be happening.
Also, it requires access to the mic to use the lightning midi option.
Not sure why the other apps solved these issues and flowkey can’t, but it is going to take more than 4 or 5 famous youtubers
Promoting your product to keep it going.
The background noise 3/5
By Eh, that kid
Ok, this app is really helpful but I can’t stand it when you have to play the same key twice but it only detects it when you hit the key once and moves on. I also can’t stand it that it picks up the slightest background noise and think that noise is correct but other than that the app is pretty good.
Great for Beginners 5/5
I am a beginner playing just for fun and I am enjoying the lessons. One recommendation though. It would be great if the app offered an 'at your own pace' section at the end of the lessons so one can view the piece in its entirety and continue to practice the piece.
All Flash, No Sizzle 2/5
Wonderfully beautiful app with great learning tools. If you are just looking for easy songs to play that are recognizable an easy to learn then this might be a good choice.
However, the value is just not there. You can find more amateurish versions online for free or similar professional lessons by others for much less. I was excited to see Billy Joel’s Piano Man as an option, but when I started the lesson I found the version here to be way too rudimentary to be labeled an “expert” lesson. They didn’t even include the intro! What they did include was nothing like any version ever played by Mr. Joel.
Anyway, if you don’t really care what version you learn and have tons of cash lying around then by all means, sign up! But if you want more authentic content and consider yourself frugal, please look elsewhere!!
Such a good app. Its my first time touching the keys and ita very helpful.
Learn fast 5/5
I love it I know about everything but can you make songs the songs free
A great piano app for adults 5/5
I have been following the courses for about a month and have seen my skills improve and have enjoyed the courses as well.
Just the one of the BEST piano apps ever, I tried Yousician.
Learning at home 5/5
So far so good! This app walks you through the basics.
Great but had no songs that u search
App is good & definitely has lots of promise for even better 4/5
Best piano learning app out there however I think they should make there prices $10.-$20.00 for year & no one would hesitate to buy & they would blow every other app away in all categories.
Could be better 3/5
This app has great teaching technique and wonderful song selection. When playin along however it does a poor job of recognizing whether or not you are playing the correct notes. Sometimes it will continue with the song when you have hit the wrong note and some times it refuses to continue even though you have hit the correct note. Kind of irritating

It’s amazing and makes it fun to learn
Muy bueno 5/5
Se aprende con facilidad
Great app, could use tuning though. 5/5
I played piano for a bit as a kid and hadn’t played for a while so I got this app to get back into it. It works great and it is definitely helping but when I play Es it seems to not notice them. It might just be that my piano is off tune or something, but maybe something to improve on.
Updated review 5/5
Loved how I got a response on the app saying how we can slow down the music! I appreciate the help!
useless without premium 2/5
this app is practically useless without a subscription. you can't do most of the lessons, making getting this app pretty much pointless. maybe if the premium feature wasn't "pay to be able to do anything" and instead was just for songs, not lessons, it would be fine.
Way to expensive 1/5
The premium version which gives you access to your favorite songs to play is $13 a month.
I expected maybe a $5 onetime payment.
Best app I learned how to play keyboard 5/5

This app taught me how to play piano in 6 months
Great app for starting back with the piano! 5/5
Good but... 3/5
By the teal dragon
When i first got the app i was skepticle abouthow well the app would work using my phone mic as input. It actually worked really well and its good but the price for premium is a bit much i think. $20 for 1 month not even netflix charges that.
Perfect for a beginner. Very intuitive.
Thank you 5/5
The only app I’ve actually learned from!
Lacks content without paying tons 2/5
There's no way to only buy one song at a time. Only a subscription model, which is incredibly inconvenient unless you're literally learning two new songs a month. I'm sure the education is great for beginners but for someone like me that's been playing for years and just wants to visually learn new songs without sheet music this is kinda a waste. If they added a way to just buy a single song for like $5 I'd move this up to 4 stars and if they added more intermediate and expert songs I'd give it 5.
Flowkey is Key 5/5
I love this app. I love that it offers the fundamentals from reading sheet music, to practicing scales and learning new songs. I love the neat features and I love how it truly helps with becoming a better pianist. If you’re not using this. You are missing and out and wasting your resources.
Really enjoying Flowkey 5/5
I am an adult beginner with piano. Always wished that I had learned piano earlier in life, and while out shopping for Christmas presents this year, decided to buy myself one. I bought a keyboard and downloaded the Flowkey app for my iPad, along with a 3-month subscription. I figured that would be enough time to figure out if I liked it or not. (When you download the app, there are some lessons that you can try out for free before you buy a subscription—gives you a feel for the program.) I had a little trouble when I tried to use the iPad microphone to recognize the notes—just didn’t work well and I became very frustrated. So, I contacted Flowkey support to see if that could be adjusted. They were very responsive and helpful. They suggested that I set up a MIDI connection, and now note recognition is working perfectly. Since I am doing this entirely on my own, I like how I can hear what a piece should actually sound like. I also like that I can see someone’s hands actually playing the piece so that I can check to make sure I’m using the correct fingers. I like the progression of the lessons—so far, it seems to be very thorough. And Flowkey stops and waits for me if I hit a wrong key—can see right away where the problem is before I more on. I’m working through the beginning course and I also am trying to learn one of the many available songs. Another feature that I really like is the ability to cut the speed to 50% or 75% for songs. And the repeat feature is helpful, too. So, at this point, I am VERY pleased with this subscription. If you’re thinking about it, you should give it a try!
Got me into it but now I gotta pay 1/5
By Very disappointed69
I actually bought a piano for this app and with no warning, I have to pay.. good stuff.. pathetic
Way better than other apps 5/5
Actually teaches you without payment or shortcuts!
Song Requests 3/5
By Eileen the Nguyener
This app is so amazing and I really love it. However, when you request a song, it takes forever for your requested songs to be upload. I requested a couple of songs on June 11th and then a few more on July 20th. That would mean that I’ve been waiting for about 6 months. I understand that the songs that I requested might not be popularly requested ,hence why it’s takes a while, but I wished that someone could like be assigned to producing the most requested songs and then have another person assigned to produce the less requested songs (If they aren’t already doing this). Other than that, this app is fine.
