FormWright 3D is a creative studio built for iPad. Model, sculpt, paint, rig and animate in one app, using your fingers or Apple Pencil. MODEL AND BUILD Start with primitives, text, drawn shapes or a tube stroke. Edit points, edges and faces, work with mirrored and soft selections, and stack non-destructive modifiers. Use radial instances, region or individual face insets, retopology and mesh tools to develop your forms. SCULPT AND SHAPE Build organic characters with Branch Forms, then bake them into editable geometry. Sculpt with Draw, Clay, Smooth, Grab and other brushes. Use symmetry, wireframe and dynamic topology to control detail. Paint and invert masks, transform unmasked areas with a gizmo, and add separate sculpt objects in the shared Layers hierarchy. PAINT AND BRING IT TO LIFE Paint directly on a surface, work with texture layers and UVs, and bind meshes to bones. Adjust weights, pose your rig and edit animation on the timeline. Optional on-device motion capture turns supported body, hand or face movement into editable joint animation. CAMERAS, TAKES AND VIDEO Frame shots, record camera movement, arrange takes and export movies. Optional voice recording adds dialogue or notes to your timeline. Mixed reality and room scanning use supported iPad hardware. YOUR WORK, YOUR FILES Save projects locally and keep editable versions. Import models and material packages, and export supported geometry, materials and animation with formats including USDZ, GLB, OBJ and FBX. Blender script export helps transfer supported scene data to Blender. Format support varies by feature. Prepare models for 3D printing with real-world dimensions and STL or 3MF export. No account or subscription is required. Apple Pencil is optional. Camera, microphone and motion permissions are requested only for features that need them. Room scanning requires supported LiDAR hardware.
