Undisputed charges form my account for two years 1/5
2017 was when I started using freeletics. Until one day it logged me out for no reason and I couldn’t log in after 3 months of using it. I called the customer service people for this app, because I was mad. They told me they couldn’t help me log in if I don’t remember my user. (Makes sense) but at the same time I didn’t even know there was log in option, or log out, when I opened the app. it was always ready to go. After being told that, 2 months of not using it. I asked to dispute the charges and cancel my subscription. They said I can only get my money money back through AppStore credits. if I were to buy the App Store card and use that so they can put the credits in that card for what they owe me. Fast forwards now. They were still charging me this 2 years. I’m tired of speaking over “customer service” petiole of this app. They didn’t help me with anything I asked them in the first place. 2 years later and their still scamming me of the yearly subscription charges. In my defense , I have a lot of expenses, so one charge a year will not really catch my attention. I’m glad Apple support helped me how to officially unsubscribe from this app after calling them just 2 days ago.
Not Too Shabby 4/5
While this app has workouts, I’m yet to use one. I used to use Freeletics bodybuilding and that app worked like a charm. I primarily use the “Free Run” Feature, and it has only failed me once. Even though it screwed up that once, it’s worked flawlessly every other time. If prompted, I would definitely recommend it.
No Apple Watch App 3/5
No Apple Watch App so you have to take your phone with you. Over priced for not having this feature.
14 day return policy is deceptive 1/5
While the website lists a 14 day return policy online, if you buy the app through iTunes, you’re actually not eligible for the return. Completely deceptive that they make it seem that a refund is possible on the website when that is not true. I’m going to stop using this despite not getting a refund since apps like the Sweat app are way more holistic and user friendly
Nice to train 5/5
Having a voice with you , telling you what to do, how much you ran, how fast you’re going is very helpful. Keep you upbeat and focused. For me, it is now a must have for a run.
Excellent running app 4/5
By Mr Communicator
Thank you Freeletics. I truly appreciate the research, thoughtfulness, and creativity you guys have put into all 4 apps, as well as the community that comes together.
I’ve been wanting to get into a steady running regimen for a long time, and I was able to successfully do that for a few months until I sustained a left hip/thigh/groin injury outside of the Running app. Since then, I’ve slowly gotten back into running with the help of the Bodyweight app and sheer determination, though not to the regularity I had before.
Because of my desire to run better than I did before, I have a couple of suggestions, coming from my experience with the app and where I’ve hit the road.
1) I would like to see a warm and cooldown stretch circuit specific per session. I’ve noticed that both Gym and Bodyweight apps have Warm-Up and Cool downs, noticeably the stretches on Cool-downs, for both apps. Running app does not have either. Online though, the suggested warm up was a light jog, and for cool down, also a light jog. I couldn’t find anything about stretching thighs, hips, glutes, calfs, ankles, feet... nothing. However, I have been stretching before and after sessions since the 1st day I started using the app. But since the injury, I wondered if there were specified stretching times and positions I could focus on due to the distances and times tracked.
2)I would like to have an option of terrain specific coaching sessions/options. Not all surfaces are the same. Where I live, their are frequent elevation changes. On the circular track, I push with my right foot more than my left. Gravel/snow/rain, every step is stabilizing the body before pushing to the next step. Would intervals be better for snow? Muscles are generally warmer in the summer, would a 3k be too little, or just right?
I can’t think of anything else right. I am very impressed with how it keeps it simple, yet pushes me to do more then I think I can. Thank you again Freeletics!
Easy to use app 5/5
I’ve been using the Freeletics apps for awhile. I only recently started the run, and I’ve been enjoying it so far!
Free runninng 4/5
Awesome app 4/5
Needs more free stuff!!
Unable to create new acct 1/5
When I register with an email it gives me a message saying “your logon details are incorrect”....
Great! One noticeable bug 4/5
After going into personal settings, it automatically reverses my imperial units settings to metrics for some reason. I have to readjust a change I didn’t make after going into personal settings all the time. OTHERWISE great app!
App not worth your money 1/5
By Tree slugger
I bought the 6 month subscription and haven’t used it at all. I’m from the US and can’t switch it from km to miles. There’s no option for adding music, there’s no verbal coach for motivation, and there’s no option for treadmill workouts. I’ll stick to other running apps which are free. What a waste of money! Don’t bother with the app.
Freeletics does everything well 5/5
I recommend anything and everything Freeletics. Each of my experiences with each of their apps have been great and they continually improve their value for their followers. I definitely recommend it!
Really good app. just wish my treadmill runs would count as well
Terrible customer service 1/5
I decided to download freeletics about 4 months before I got married and the workouts were okay, Gave me some ideas but difficult to follow and keep track during the workouts. My biggest problem was I only wanted it for 6 months. I mean that’s what I chose to pay for...wrong! They were discreet with informing me that it’s an automatic renewal. Didn’t even send me an email that it was going to renew or warn me of the charge coming up, because that’s what scammers do. Their weasels that aren’t upfront or forthcoming on there conniving ways of getting people’s money. Since I wasn’t aware of the charge my card was over drafted and shut down. I requested a refund explaining what happened to my card the day I was charged and they said they were unable to give me a refund. Yeah right...Freeletics can, they just don’t want to. This is a terrible unaccommodating company and you shouldn’t use it.
Coach in your phone 5/5
By Need Apple Watch support
Great motivating app. The work outs are well programed and diverse. Not your average running app. Needs Apple Watch support!
Don’t buy this app waste of money
Good app 4/5
This is a great app, but can be a little confusing at times. It needs some “common sense” improvement.
Needs a little work 3/5
Waiting on an app for Apple Watch. Also, I would like to control my feedback during my runs. I am not always interested in distance and time. Some days I just want distance. PLEASE add a feature that allows the RUNNER to control the feedback. Depending on distance and purpose on exercise, the current setup is annoying. Thanks!
Great App 5/5
Keeps you motivated to keep going
Should be able to follow others 3/5
If the body weight is a social media app why isn't the running app? Does not make sense.
I can't stop using this app for my runs
Not an app to develop skills 1/5
This app isn't worth the subscription $. Running times are recorded in min and seconds rather than avg pace. You don't see progress because all runs are listed individually. Some runs are listed in meters and some in yards. Can't pause if you need to cross street. App indicates a "new personal best" but compared to what? Doesn't say. Use any free interval timer and you'll get your $'s worth.
Great app, decent customer service 4/5
UPDATE: I contacted Freeletics again (after the first time) expressing my disappointed and was offered a complete refund. I have updated my review to 4/5 stars to reflect this.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I posted this under Freeletics Bodyweight as well, as it is applicable to both:
This is a great app in terms of design and user interface. But be warned: Freeletics offers poor customer service. If you are on a subscription basis, you will be charged anytime on the last day or your subscription (rather than the following day). Despite contacting their team less than an hour after this charge and explaining that I could not use their app for the next few months due to difficulties with travel plans overseas, I was told it was "against their policy" and they would not refund me. I had a tremendous experience with the app previously and was planning on returning to freeletics once I was again stateside, but they have lost a customer. I will be filing a dispute claim with my debit card because this is not only absurd (it was less than an hour after the charge) but also extremely disappointing. Don't use freeletics if you want a quality customer service experience.
Great Motivator and Easy to Use 5/5
By Seamore Butz
I am totally out of shape, and this app makes running very easy. I like the intervals, it challenges you but is reasonable and even if I'm not in the mood to work out have managed to convince myself to keep going because the workouts really aren't that long in the beginning. It's gradually making you stronger and in the meantime motivating you to push harder in your next run.
Great App 4/5
Could you make this available for iWatches soon? Would like to run without my phone
So far so good! 5/5
This app has really helped me get back to getting in shape. Thank you sooo much.
I do think a good add would be to be able to advance the pauses and cues in the app from your iWatch. That way you can keep going with the workout rather than having to pick the phone up. But otherwise so far it's great!!
Got me Running Again!!! 5/5
By Anjanetta's ITunes
Great app to get back out there at your own pace and see a change in your life. Love it!!
Solid training plan 5/5
Keeps you challenged and motivated
Great motivator! 5/5
I love the coach-- always sends a message right on time when you feel like slowing down. As a beginner, it's really helpful.
Very Good 4/5
The app does a great job tracking runs and motivating you to keep going. I wish the app tracked distance during breaks, too, but that's just my personal preference. It's motivating to see how far I've ran in total.
Great app 5/5
Cool coaching app for running
Really enjoy it 5/5
It is great I usually just use the free run, but the exercises i have done have left me sweating like crazy!
Great app for a budget and regular coaching
Apple Watch 3/5
This is a great and fun app. I love beating PB's but I wish there was Apple Watch integration. There really isn't a reason at this point. 3 stars until that time.
Simple, streamlined, efficient 5/5
This is my favorite running app and I have tried every last one of them. It is simple, it is streamlined, it is efficient. I am probably going to end up getting the extra coaching because I like the options they have for free so much. I'm finally progressing in my running.
I love this! I push myself to make my stars. Love this coach!
Fantastic Run Trainer 5/5
By Slightly less tubby
Really great app. Good variety and lots of control over preferences.
It's a really great system 4/5
I grew up dancing for 14 years, then became a competitive athlete for 6 years until I sustained a pretty gnarly back injury. A bulging disk and sprained ligaments left me on the couch for the next 2 years. It was really difficult to get motivated to go back to working out, I was embarrassed to go to the gym bc of how much weight I gained, and how weak I had become. The freletics app has been so awesome at getting me back to the grind. The workouts are always challenging, but I'm free to move at my own pace. I think it's a fantastic system. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars, is bc of switching apps to get to the different areas. ... the price is high, many of my friends won't download it bc it's expensive. It's a little tricky to navigate, I feel the layout could have a better flow.. takes a lot of clicks to get around and find what I'm looking for. .. but overall I really love it so far! I've only been using it a month, but I dropped 8lbs and have been working out, and running several days a week. Thanks!!
Love it! 5/5
I've improved on my running time in just 2 weeks already! So motivating. The voice prompts are great. Progress tracking is seamless.
Great App. 5/5
This app has really changed my life for the best since now I have a direction in my health life as I did not before. Thank you Freeletics. 👏👏
Great app! 3/5
This app is amazing in that it keeps me motivated. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is that every now and then it logs me out just as I'm about to finish a run which is extremely frustrating.
Excelent app 5/5
Very useful and simple app! You could exercise and Keep you on track!!
I like it! And I recommend it!
"Free" is a relative term 3/5
The very few, very few, free items are good. I'm just not willing to pay a monthly subscription of that magnitude for workouts you can get online for free elsewhere. I highly suggest you make the workouts free and a historical tracking workout/nutrition system as something to pay for.
Logs me out 2/5
Apps functions are great; however, it logs me out in the middle of run! Other than that, the program's been good so far.
Helps me try to be healthy and fit
