No apparent way to remove old credit cards
They lock you out of your account when they screw up and you have no access to your information to show them that they screwed up.

I I wanted to change my payment to a different method but was not allowed to. It took payment from the last used account before I could make the necessary changes. I won’t be using this app again.

I hate apps and computers and I am not fond of continual pressure to do everything non securely. I chose one star because there was nothing lower. I have had issues with this site before. After 20 years with you I may have to look for another company.

You guys make it really hard to cancel the policy. You make me go through too much just to cancel. How come you can join geico online but your not able to leave it online too. It’s like a haunted house, you let me come in easily but when I try to leave you leave me no escape.
Terrible design. Lots of worthless stuff, the stuff Geico actually does is hidden away. No way to analyze insurance options. This is the death of meritocracy. gji

App crashed twice while trying to add a driver
Beware of quote process for minor 4/5
I have run multiple quotes for adding cars and policy coverage changes but it never gets updated on policy until it is confirmed. Good, right? That is not the case with running a quote for new driver. I was trying to check premium for my minor son if he is added as a driver. App took all the info I entered and added him to policy as a driver and effected it. I didn’t even finish the quote process till the end, and didn’t confirm him to be a driver. 2 days later I got an email to pay additional premium!!
Please provide a disclaimer that running a quote for a driver could add him/her to the policy even if consent was not given. Provide a cancel button in quote process so that user has ability to exit when they want to. Also don’t add driver out of quote process and explicit confirmation. Instead of just notifying the user about policy doc is updated, state key changes in email notification - new driver added, new premium is so and so - which ensures information is accurately notified to the policyholder.

I managed to buy an auto insurance policy with no Bodily Injury Liability coverage. Meaning I’M personally liable for injuries I cause in an at fault accident. FL law actually doesn’t require this to be carried. But it’s a mess: A financial responsibility law does require it. In any case no respectable insurance agent would EVER write a policy without BIL, and if they did, it would be after jumping up and down and getting signatures, because it’s CRAZY. But I didn't understand and somehow ended up without it. After a car ran a red light, hit ME, and fractured a vertebrae and other injuries, I ENDED UP WITH A BILL FROM STATE FARM FOR $50,000. Totaled my Corvette. There were no witnesses, it was going to go in as 50/50 fault wise, which I had major heartburn with. State Farm decided to just make it all my fault, and GEICO was TOTALLY CLUELESS. Nice and polite, but clueless. Didn’t help me at all. For a $2,000/year liability only policy. So high because I accidentally let it lapse so they could price gouge me. I am currently suing State Farm and the other driver. A lawyer is doing it on contingency. Note that GEICO raises your rates for “interactions” with the police. Get a warning for speeding, and a ticket for an old address on your DL? Your rates will increase.

It’s very easy to get around the app and do whatever it is I need to do. So far I’ve added a car to my policy and moved a payment date. I’m not a tech person at all. I normally prefer to do things in person but this app just makes everything so easy.

Geico is NEVER there when you need them. Sure insurance companies take your money, but when something happens that insurance company has your back. With Geico you can forget it. They just side for the other guys and just raise your rates or drop you all together.

When I click on "payment plan," which should then show me all of my upcoming payments left on my current plan, it instead takes me to a blank screen that never loads. This has held true for months now. No issues with any other apps, so it is not an issue of wifi or cell service. When I then click "help" to ask a question, it never understands what I am saying. I also checked to see if I just needed to update the app, but no. Appears to be on the developer end. Please fix the app so it will show the payment plan when that "button"/link is tapped. Thank you.
