Great app that works and is easy to use! 5/5
A simple app that works like a charm. Going through your camera roll to delete and organize things is not easy and is very stressful and this app does it all for you!
I cannot figure out how to deactivate the account so I won't be charged again. Please help!
Doesn’t do what it says 1/5
I just downloaded this app with high hopes that it would allow me to remove the MANY duplicate photos that iOS has created through the years with uploads downloads etc. I downloaded the app, and all it did was brought up screenshots that I had taken and not a single duplicate photo... what gives? I’d like to be able to move everything from my iPhone to my PC but want the dupes removes before importing. Why doesn’t the app give me any of the 1000’s of duplicates I have to “clean up”. Canceling my subscription before they bill me...
Cool but won’t refresh 3/5
Cool app, scanned all photos first time around, but won’t update with new photos. Probably won’t keep subscription
App Kept Giving Errors When Trying yo Delete Photos 1/5
The app took forever to load all my photos and then when I selected photos to delete it would crash and give me an error saying it couldn’t delete anything. Would not recommend. Would like my money back as I deleted it after 3 days of use.
Hard to cancel 1/5
By Grady Beach
Hello, I’m very unimpressed with the fact that I can’t easily cancel my membership on this account. Very sneaky move.
Please Unsubscribe this is confusing 1/5
By unsubscribe Gemini2
Please unsubscribe me, I downloaded the free trial and now is charging me. I didn’t even used the app Because didn’t delete any repeated image.
Now it’s charging me for a month and DOESNT SHOW HOW TO JNSUBSCRIBE. This is confusing and I am really frustrated.
Best App EVER but having some issues 4/5
This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I have TONS of photos and this has helped significantly to clean them up. However, it has not been able to delete anything for about a month. When I press “delete photos” after having gone through the ones I don’t want, it simply doesn’t. Sometimes it does try to delete the photos, but each time an error pops up saying something to the effect of “Sorry, we couldn’t delete photos at this time.” Now my iCloud storage is full because I haven’t deleted photos in a while and thought that the issue might blow over. But it’s still here!!
problems with gemini 4/5
After the first preliminary scan it will not scan the photo library again. I just deleted and reinstalled after I was having the same issue as the other user with the app crashing. I did a major import into my album in and and many more duplicates, Especially now that Apple is letting devices sink across without iTunes using the USB-C to lightning cable on pro devices. I’m hoping to be able to reset both apps and re-scan my library’s but it’s not pulling up duplicates even though there are many blatant duplicates.
Just go do the old way of deleting photos.
ummm what 3/5
it won’t delete my pictures
great but wait? 4/5
By Game stopped
it’s awesome at first! it separates photos by months throughout the years or by blurry or by notes (unnecessary school notes) and you can swipe up to keep or down to throw away. once i was done with getting rid of them i wanted to delete all the 3000 photos but i had to pay to delete!? sadly had to delete the app:/
If only it worked... 2/5
App had so much potential, but unfortunately many of the core features simply don’t work. For example: the “keep all” button (one of two options in the review screen) does nothing. Likewise the empty trash button also seems to do nothing. Strike three was trying to use the clutter screen to remove screenshots or blurred photos. In both scenarios, selecting to delete the photos resulted in an error “cannot merge” and again, nothing happened. Overall a massive fail that would be great if only the core features worked.
Fix please 3/5
Glitches too much, I would pay for it but that’s going have to get fixed... also it’s slow. Good for deleting though.
Stop changing the UI every update! 1/5
I’ve been using this app since it launched. Every time there’s a new update the UI and layout completely changes!
I just want to remove similar photos, I don’t care about “enhancing” photos (photos never look any different anyway.
Please get this app back to what I bought it for. I bought the full $15 unlock and feel like I should just get a refund.
A photos app without landscape support on iPad! 1/5
By sister helena
I was very surprised to find Gemini - a photos app and a paid app! - does not support landscape mode on the iPad. In fact, it seems to run an iPhone app on the iPad. When I asked customer service, I was told “Please note that Gemini Photos was designed to be used on iPhones, therefore it can indeed be working not as smoothly on iPads.” This is a real shortcoming, and I hope one the developer intends to fix asap. It doesn’t catch all duplicates either, though I’m glad for ones it does. UPDATE Months later still no iPad landscape support. And ditto what Shuvi123456789 said. Your app is NOT clear about the problem and IS misleading. Shame on you for denying
Great Aid for Keeping a Tidy Library 4/5
Overall a great app with thoughtful UI!
One current issue is the app only works in portrait orientation on my iPad. I’m hoping they have landscape orientation on their road map.
so bad 1/5
Satisfied but why do you have two types of purchase price? Initially you mentioned $11 + dollars and other section says 14 + dollars. Can you explain it?
Amazing app 4/5
(DISCLAIMER: I’m a real person, not a robot or fake person writing a review. This is an actual good app.)
This app is clean and simple but extremely helpful.
I would give it five stars if it was free but it’s not so, sorry.
The cost is very cheap though.
You should get this app, do the three day trial, then end it.
Good app. 9/10
Limited, Clunky, Overpriced 1/5
By F these Nerds
Nothing new or exciting here, folks. I was curious... what could this app do for me that my Photos app doesn’t? Turns out— it does less. As a featured app- I set my expectations for an app that could help me sort through my photo catalog and was let down to see only two ways to see photos— they’re minimalist 5 categories or by Month. Your only option is to delete photos. The app felt clunky and too limited. Why pay a chunky yearly fee for less function than the standard iPhone options?
By Shiv Pat
Doesn’t let you use the trial without committing to recurring payments. They only provide a 3 day trial, which you must cancel 1 day early as according to the fine print, to not be charged. Deleted immediately.
Frustrating way to find out you need to pay 1/5
Didn’t even get to use this because you don’t find out until downloading and clicking through everything that you’re supposed to pay. You’re honestly more likely to get my money if you charge for the app instead of hiding the details deep in your description. I sincerely doubt anyone is reading that far and it’s a major irritation to only find out after having downloaded the app.
I’m not even saying it has to be free—just be more up front about it.
Monthly subscription 👎🏼 1/5
Why? This seems to be the trend with apps lately.
Gemini App 1/5
By Laird M c Lean
Not sure exactly what this app is on my computer. It does not do anything except identify. Very displeased.
Gets the lead out 5/5
By Tina in East Texas
This app is great. It not only organizes it downsizes which is really hard for m because I love the people in my pictures so much ; don’t want to miss a thing. You know ? Fabulous app. Five stars plus.
Found everything but the obvious duplicates I was trying to remove.
VERY DISAPPOINTED 2/5
I WOULD GIVE THIS APP A FIVE STAR, however I purchased this on my ipad. When I went to my phone I restored purchase and it shows NO photos at all when I open the app. I should be able to use it on my iphone as well without having to buy it again.
LOVING THIS APP
I will now rate it a 5 star. I opened it on my iphone today and all my photos are there.
Sends and stores your photos to their servers. 1/5
Quoted from policy:
“When you use the Product on your computing device, user content you save will be stored locally on that device and synced with our servers.”
Quick, Easy Photo Management 5/5
MacPaw’s Gemini app makes cleaning up photos so easy it’s almost become a game for me. All of their products are amazing, so when I found this app I knew I it had high standards to meet - and it did!
I got the app to use once and 1/5
By Dame Tu Cosita 2 confirmed
They’ve been charging me $3 a month for the past 10 months after I cancelled my subscription
Needs your cc info to even try it 1/5
Thought I would give this a try but once you open it immediately wants you to put your payment information to try it out for a couple days. Would have been better to let you know upfront or allow you to try it before asking for any personal information. Feels more like Clickbait.
Pay per month 1/5
Pay per month. Delete.
Good But Not Worth a Subscription 2/5
Sorry, I absolutely detest the need for everything to be a subscription model. This service isn't one that deserves it. I'd gladly pay a one-time purchase, even if it's something like 5-7$. But a recurring monthly payment? Nope.
Please make this work with Google Photos! 3/5
Love this app's concept, and the functionality seems to be there, but it only works with iCloud which is a bummer. I'd definitely have a subscription if it worked for that!
loving it 4/5
Photos used to be such a source of stress for me, but this app is kind of amazing. The only suggest I would make is to put the date at the top rather than just the month for each photo. thanks!!
Don’t waste your money like I did. Nothing happened. 1/5
I paid the money. Went through all of my 2,200 photos through the App and deleted more the half of them only to find the changes aren’t reflected in my photo album... what a waste of money and more importantly my time!!
Just put a price tag on it to begin with. What’s the point of downloading it just to be told to pay for it? I mean seriously - why download it if I can’t even use it without subscribing to it! Stop trying to trick people into wasting money. And I say wasting money instead of spending money because why would anyone possibly want to trust a product that starts off by deceiving its new potential customers. Biggest shame is that the Apple Store highlighted it.
Bug fix? 2/5
Ok cool, a bug fix.....but what bug fix? What bug was fixed?
Ok, so you replied and told ME what bug was fixed, but how about including that in all future releases? It helps your users see what was fixed and potentially validates what we may have experienced.
Black and white photos not working 1/5
I have a few pics in B/W where the subjects are in different position but everything else is the same. Therefore these photos are not the same. Then Gemini thinks they are the same and automatically selects them to be erased. If you are in my situation where you have thousands of photos you don’t want to choose “delete all” because the app may delete photos that are unique.
Requesting refund, app is not yet ready for prime time.
Deceptive “free” 3 day offer, but bills $2.99 a month on the fourth day, and even if you remove the app you still will get billed for $2.99 a month. BEWARE
Works well but... 3/5
By Eliza from NJ
This app should not be advertised as “in app” purchases, because there is very little functionality without a paid subscription, and very little choice as to length of subscription. They should just have a price and advertise upfront. It works nicely and may be worth the price, but I can’t afford it right now.
Bait and switch 1/5
I downloaded the app, as soon as I open it and before I get to try anything, it immediately wants me to sign up for a MONTHLY subscription.
I exit that, losing interest, but it lets me through to the photos screen, so I figure its a free trial and start exploring. To its credit, it does start scanning photos and finding similar, so I spent the next hour scrolling through and marking photos to ‘trash’.
As soon as I finish and click ‘delete trash’, it pops up a screen to PURCHASE a subscription! What??
You let me browse and mark half my photo library and THEN spring a purchase screen on me? Get bent! I uninstalled immediately after.
WARNING: Another Lousy Subscription Required App. 1/5
Don’t do subscriptions. Huge Rip-Off.
5 stars 5/5
Great organization and easy to use
Needs Work 2/5
I wanted to like this app. It helped me sort through thousands of pictures a lot faster, but it had a tendency to add pictures I had already gone through back to my library for me to go through again.
Easy to use , fun to delete, and free!!
Great service 5/5
It’s about time!! Thank you Gemini!
Works great 5/5
Does what says and does it well
