Glucose Buddy helped me :) 5/5
By A not rich person
Glucose Buddy is so simple to use, and I won’t lose it like my paper tracker. I will probably upgrade to their premium version later.
By awsom ta
This app is totally broken when you purchase the upgrade, can’t addd inputs it just stays on purchase screen, would give zero stars if it was available, don’t wast your $2.99 dollars .
Glucose Buddy 1/5
Don’t buy this. It’s a scam. Won’t refund money even if u flat cancel.
Love it 5/5
Sorry, but it does too much. 2/5
I’m leaving Glucose Buddy because it has become a hovering nanny that needs to be paid to leave me alone to simply record my blood sugar. I brought my levels down for two years, but an illness and steroids shot it back up. I need to track for at least a month - just glucose, not food, exercise, contact friends, post on social media - and this hovering/selfie-ad infested app just doesn’t do it. If a nanny is needed, this app will fill the bill and for just a few dollars a month all the things I don’t need/want are available.

I thought by the star rating and the claim to be the top for 9 years that this would be a great addition to tracking my health. Once I downloaded it and opened it I found I could not use it as the description said unless I bought the premium. I can not afford $40 bucks. Very disappointed.
Not easy to learn all the features but seems like a useful tool.
Great app would have bought the premium if it wasn’t a monthly fee but a one time payment

The information in logging my diabetes is great like it a lot 👍👍👍

Monthly or annual charges? Really? 1/5

Great way to go from best to worst. Easy track records emailed to my physician for free now need to be printed out and are no longer free. Let me welcome your organization to the new 21st century economic model that you have embraced by feeding off people with health issues. The new American way. You should be ashamed. I’m gone.
Add nots 4/5
If we can add not to the measurment it would be excellent
Very handy app :) 4/5
I do actually love this app. Makes it easy to remember and store blood sugars and spot trends in highs and lows.
My only cons are relatively minor. I do wish the tracker on the home screen was easier to read. It uses larger and smaller circles overlapping at times... just a little difficult to interpret. Also wish it allowed for different 24hr cycles. As a night shifter my day starts later than most and midnight is my mid day. Makes it harder to track for daily regulation. So I rate 4/5 for this. Still a very useful app.
Not a useful app for the high price 1/5
Expensive subscription. Must pay to see what the app really offers. Why pay if I don’t know what I am paying for? What I see in the free app sure isn’t encouraging.
No Fitbit integration. No iOS activity tracking either bc no settings to enable the app to track motion or location - even though the app displays a message telling me I need to enable these settings. Activity is critical to diabetes management. Do not pay for any app that doesn’t do this well.
Graphs are ok but not insightful. Then there’s the doozie of “they don’t get it”: a page that displays a number... 384. Ok, I figured out that it is the average of two diabetes meds (measured in mg) and two types of insulin (measured in standard insulin units, not mg)! Additionally, Oral meds and basal insulin doses change infrequently. Bolus is volatile, driven by carbs and that activity the app cannot track. Ask your doctor what the average of these four numbers in unrelated units of measure tells you about your diabetes treatment...
Then delete this app and look for a different one.
Don’t update! 1/5
While I’m irritated that this app wants to track my location- it’s none of their business- I’m beyond incensed that YEARS of my entries are gone. There is no need for the developers to remove that information. If you want to update this app, write your numbers down with a pen and paper first. I wish I had known this was going to happen. A warning would have been nice!
Very useful and great tracker!!! 4/5
Love love this app because you can put your good in
Better BEFORE the big update 1/5
I liked it much better before the big update where everything was changed. They took away the trend chart which was useful for me to see how my levels changed. Now, I can’t figure how to print my data to show my doctor. Everything just looks more busy and cluttered now, and not user-friendly.
Advertises desktop access. Reality is that feature was discontinued by the "engineering staff" according to a FAQ. Premium is expensive and does not really get you anything more than basic. Their website Advertises "Enhaned Filters" which I am sure is "Enhanced Filters" but tend to not trust companies that don't spell check their websites. Premium function "Filters" gets you really nothing for the money. Wish I could get my money back.
New Version is a mess 1/5
I loved the old version, it was easy to read and manage. The new one is way too busy. Adds Adds Adds. Pay to get rid of them and you still have a chunky interface. Very poor "upgrade" that no longer syncs to the website.
Ok but cost and adds are a little much. 3/5
Do not like it that much. I thought I would be able to do my average blood sugar. It starts that way then wants you to pay. Either 14 dollars for one month or 4.99 a month for 12 months. However I was under the understanding that it would charge you month by month. I was prepared to do that. As I clicked on that option it wanted to charge you the whole yearly amount. Then it states you can stop the 4.99 a month at any time. Bit of course it would after they get you for the full year! I will be looking for another app!
Love this app! 5/5
I never gave a crap about my diabetes until I lost both of my parents at the age of 51. They both were diabetic and although that wasn’t necessarily the cause of their death as my dad had cancer and my mom had an upper GI bleed along with other issues it certainly did not help. My A1C was out of control at 10.2! Here I was downing mountain dews and never checking my sugar eating whatever I wanted. I gave up sodas, and fast food but finally have started checking my sugar as well. My endocrinologist has requested that I check my sugar randomly throughout the day and keep a record... well it has finally happened because of this app! 💕
Add this feature 3/5
I’m a newer user. It would be great if you could make the “GRAPH” feature work horizontally as well as vertically. It would appear less cramped and give you a better “over time" view of your progress. I tried emailing you this suggestion in the help and support section, but it doesn’t work.
Thanks. Jeff L
Puts in duplicate values 1/5
By MMV 7
I want to like the app and I did until it started putting in duplicate values of my first test. Generally 2 minutes apart. Not good for my averages. Fix this now, please.
Used to love this app. Now it’s useless unless you pay $60 a year. Download a different app. Don’t waste your time on this one.
Don’t Like 1/5
It was a good app at first but latest updates has made it confusing and complicated and hard to use.
KEEP IT SIMPLE DUMMY!
Excellent app 5/5
Must have it is so easy to use, easy to remember and navigate
Glucose buddy update 1/5
By don,'t like it
Although I like glucose buddy I do not like the fact that the pro costs money to upgrade.I would like to use the full features in the app I do not agree in paying for a monthly fee to be able to use all the features.I also liked before the free upgrade I could put in the app what caused my high glucose leval

Love this app. I can keep track of my levels and provide info to my doctor. Like new interface.
Great Help 5/5
By P Carl
The app has been such a great help to me in my daily life with diabetes type II. Now I have a way to track my blood sugars throughout the day and get periodic reports that help me to check how I’m doing, along with my A1 C score. It’s also helpful to take to the doctors office of the doctor can see it as well.

Love this app!! Helps me so much.
Glucose #’s changed by app 1/5
By Ponce St Paul
Loved the functionality of the $60 version until I noted that the app was unilaterally changing the historical glucose numbers I’d posted. Weight, BP, and step count remained unchanged. glucose numbers in the 110 range were converted to numbers like 5.6.
This also seriously distorts the A1C calculation.
THis needs to be fixed or I need my money back.
Updated app 1/5
Definitely like the old version better. This version is trying to do too many things. It is too busy. I want it for glucose Not steps or food diary
Horrible since it went strictly to a monthly pay subscription
Great app 5/5
Very helpful resource!
Started well, then quit working. 1/5
By Pr Cj
Frustrated. Stopped allowing me to put in the correct time of when I checked my sugar. I won’t use this app anymore. Don’t waste your time.
A great help thank you, I love the graphs
Great App 5/5
I travel a great deal and this app has everything I need and love the fact I can print monthly report to take to the doctor
1at class app!
Cost to high 1/5
By 2017 SEF
I’m not happy with updated new stuff, and cost of this is to high. After reading cost and can’t cancel while in subscription in effect would be pain in neck to cancel. I realize you want to get paid for your work developing this app but this app is to hard to get information store on it. I don’t mind the ads but over $50.00 a year to much.
Disappointed in Update! 1/5
This app use to be so easy to use. Now I struggle with the size and changes. Also the updated version bombards you with ads. On top of it all, it wants you to share your disease with your friends. How stupid is that. My medical problems are private and not to be public. Also, I have an Apple Watch and it doesn’t pick up the exercise I do. I will definitely change apps as soon as I find one that works well with my lifestyle.
This app was great 1/5
I loved this app before they changed to the subscription model a few months back. There are so many things you used to be able to do that aren’t available, even small things like using a custom label instead of before/after a meal. And now in order to share your graphs with your doctor you can only go back two weeks and you have to print it out vs email it. It’s a real shame not to be able to afford an app that used to be an asset to my medical care. I would have been able to use this app had there been a one time purchase price, but I can’t justify adding another monthly automatic charge just to log my glucose levels. I used to hype this app to everyone I knew with diabetes. Even my doctor was impressed, although I had to explain what happened when I could no longer send her my full detailed data via the health portal. Now I tell everyone about the app, explain how the developers forced a subscription model on users, and use it as an example of how patients suffer when profiting from their diseases becomes the goal. I wish I had never trusted this developer with my data. Now it’s locked away and I had to start over again with another app.
New and Improved 5/5
By Jolly allay
I have used glucose buddy for years. It has finally been developed for an app for 2017 and beyond. Better info in better info out. Better more comprehensive reports. My clinician looks forward to getting them.
MUCH MUCH IMPROVED
Glucose Buddy is great! 5/5
It helps me keep all the data for my health in one place. The only thing that would make it perfect is if I could sync it with my Fitbit info, including sleep and activities.
New to Diabetes 5/5
Although I'm new to diabetes & a nurse, I think this app is awesome.
Easy to use 4/5
App is easy to use, definitely can find information without difficulty. Don’t like the persistent advertisement in the middle of my screen that has a X for close but when you touch the X it opens it instead. Sorry I don’t wish to use the add-ons.
Was great, now gone 1/5
I used to love this app and used it everyday. Now the want mw to log in with fb and too much personal info. WTH? CYA!
For the cost of a date night for my husband & I, this app is worth it! I was just diagnosed and I enjoy the app features. It keeps track of everything my doctor and dietitian needs to keep me balanced!
Disappointed as well 1/5
By Nightfall Centurion
I too was a fan of the previous version of this app. Screen design aside, I feel uneasy storing all my medical information in their cloud (if Experion can be hacked, their cloud would be child’s play) ! I see no reason readings can’t be stored locally and reported from there.
I also dislike the idea of “socializing” my health status. The apps functionality for doing that is completely unnecessary.
With the previous version I liked being able to log my activity/exercise “category” free form. My exercise activities don’t fit in their discrete list of categories so I have no accurate way to log them.
Used to be good 1/5
Like many other people have said, the new version is very disappointing. It used to be free to teach you A1C & many other things. After getting the update it also asked for a ridiculous monthly premium instead of a onetime purchase as most offer.
