Why use this when you got good ol’ Siri 1/5
By Dev John
Siri is way better than this because you can activate with voice, this is more of for androids
No good on IOS 2/5
Stupid iOS restrictions that’s why I can’t use this great app. On iOS from any page like I can on androids
On iOS I’ve to go to a page where google asst. is app. Is placed making it totally useless on iOS but performs great on Android platform
where is the keyboard or microphone? 1/5
As of the update, March 2019, I deleted the app. I could find the microphone or search field. What the point of this app?

Create an Apple Watch app for Google assistant.
Horrible UX 1/5
Has a freaking million options in million menus. So frustrating to find and change a setting
Great AP but 3/5
By VB VA
I love the AP better than Siri it doesn’t send you to one website like Siri but stays connected to the subject and offers other sites. But I constantly have to sign in to my google account and I have to reboot
Phillips Hue 1/5

Trying to turn off the lights but don’t seem to pair on the App with my LG Oled C8.
Love the update that makes Assistant compatible with CarPlay
Can schedule, can set scenes... and what is Google Home for? Why not merge these two apps???
By it save my life
Every time I try asking he Google or push the microphone button it it would asked me to sign in so I confirm. And that keeps going over and over in a loop it goes to website to sign them panties do you want to sign in with Google what’s learn more about you and I keep pushing yes but doesn’t work
Shopping List will now open on iPhone 4/5
Shopping list in the app will not open on my iPhone. Used the list all the time, now all I get is a 500 error message. List will open on an Android device.
Update: was able to open shopping list today on the iPhone. First time in many weeks.

No voice activation like Siri, but totally worth it.
By Evan Collins
Impressive voice recognition tech, especially contextual understanding. Looking forward to see this evolve further. Thumbs up!
Apple Music PAAAALEEEASSSEE 5/5
I enjoy it, but missing Apple Music! Put your prices aside or may have to Amazon my home 😂
Best Virtual Assistant 5/5
at his app is so amazing. i am astonished by this and how great it is. It’s way better then Siri and Bixbi! She can do almost everything and anything. I love this app it’s absurdly astounding💕💕
Horrible with Pandora 1/5
There is a known bug where Pandora has to launch twice to play a song. They know about but don’t care. Integration with Nest is mediocre at best, which is a shame as Google own Nest. Amazon echo is better as is Siri, but I will hold on to Echo and Google Home and make a final decision later this year. It’s looking like echo.
Has Ads Now ! Hello Siri! Here I Come! 1/5
Now that Google Assistant has Ads in it I'm switching to Siri. I WILL NOT TOLERATE ADS ON AN ASSISTANT!!! Google is always shooting themselves in the foot!
Great overall! But please support Apple Watch! 4/5
Love Google Assistant overall, but pretty please bring support for the Apple Watch! Having an Assistant complication on my home screen would be AMAZING!

100% Unreliable 1/5
By Jocasta Culpeper
Reminders do not work. You can set a reminder but then the assistant does nothing. Perfect if you enjoy missing appointments.
No portuguese 3/5
No support in Brazilian Portuguese... What a pitty :(
Almost there!!!! 3/5
With my LG HBS1120 headset the google assistant feature keeps disconnecting from my headset and I don’t know until I press the button and hear that response so I try in the settings to connect it and denies it to do so so I have to turn the headset off then back on to connect
La mejor aplicación del mundo 5/5

Better than anything 5/5
Well i think it is better than any thing because google assistant has got me through every single morning when i got it i didnt know what it was then a few days later i was just like omg this is really helpful to use and it was so werth the try and i was so excited that day i got it because it alerts me about everything i need to know so i think that you should test out google assistant and see what works for you
Wish was better integrated with ios 4/5
Love it on Android phones but for the ios it's limited. I wish I could use "ok Google" from anywhere as it happens in Android (because ios is amazing but Siri ducks!). Huge progress with Siri shortcuts thought... Now I say "Hey Siri, ok Google" and tahdah!!!!
Battery draining 1/5
1m on screen and 2hr off screen! What are you doing off screen???? Tracking???!! And it drains my battery very quickly
Google assistant for ios Not available in China，Running under ssr, who understands why
Better search than Siri, but bad design 2/5
By Bill in Akron
This is a well intentioned app, but suffers from creeping featureism that has turned the interface into a design mish-mash. My list of stocks share prices was removed from the Google App. Now this separate app is needed. Recently, the ability to see a list of all share prices at once vanished and I have to ask separately to see each share price. Why so complex?
The only good thing I see is searching is much smarter than Siri.
The best 5/5
By Aye Q
I still won’t have it replace Siri but I have to admit it’s a lot better. Routines is far better and easier to set up then ‘Shortcuts’ and its
Integrated into google assistant to the point is just something else it does and it does a lot
Really cool but not so much for iPhone users 2/5
This app is pretty sweet. I can’t however get it to connect to my google home mini, after spending 4 hours trying to figure it out, two of those probably with tech support, we came to the conclusion that it’s just not possible. Doesn’t make sense to create a device that’s compatible with other phones besides the android, if it isn’t going to work. I hope google updates and allows iPhone users to remotely communicate with their google home devices. Ultimately, I just want to set alarms with out having to speak to my google home.
No polish launguage 1/5
No polish launguage
There is no Polish language 1/5
No update allowing using the assistant in Polish. When will the update be ??
Best Assistant for iPhone 4/5
The app is great the only down side is that loop of having to activate siri first and the bug that doesn’t let you activate Spotify as a music service. Plus some apps cannot be opened by commands.
I love this app 4/5
Really better than siri but this app could be improve by overwrite siri completely
I would give five stars if it supports Arabic, i hope it will soon.
we need chinese please 5/5
we need chinese please.add chinese
doesn’t work with Sony XM3 s 1/5
The assistant used to work flawlessly with my XM3s, but after this update the no button press to hold to talk to the assistant doesn’t work anymore. That prevents the assistant from working with the XM3s. The XM3 still works with the android version of the app.
Siri’ Inbred sister 2/5
Knows my location but offers restaurants that are in another state.
Nice job Apple 5/5
Most of the shortfalls that this app has are because of the Apple constraints. It's cute how Apple highlights a review pointing out all of the things this app can't do because of Apple.
It's a great app. Better than Siri.
Add language 4/5

QA asleep at the wheel 1/5
Latest update killed assistant response on Sony M3 headphones. With no feedback on what’s happening I must have disconnected/reconnected my headphones a thousand times trying to fix. :(
UPDATE: Sony updated the headphones to work with Alexa and THAT works great!
Honestly Amazing 5/5
By Gino Ariola
I used to have an android phone, and I used google assistant a lot. I found it that I liked google assistant much better than Siri, so I installed this app. I was worried because I thought that I would have to enter the app every time I want to do something with my assistant. But no. All you have to do is go to your assistant settings and add a Siri shortcut. All you have to do is activate Siri than say the shortcut you put in, and it opens the app.
Buggy App 2/5
This app keeps asking me over and over to log in. Even if you select Cancel or Continue you can’t ever get back to the home screen without rebooting your phone. Guess Google wants to rule the world.
Needs work 2/5
When I first started using this app, I was very impressed with its ability to provide information that Siri never could. The voice recognition is much better and it does have some really neat features. The problem is, once you enable certain settings, (such as having Assistant tell you good news daily) it’s next to impossible to disable it. Actually, it was literally impossible for me, even after doing numerous web searches, desperately trying to figure out how to stop google from reading me news at the same time every day. Does that really sound like something that should be difficult? Getting “good news” was a nice idea at first, but it got annoying. Why is it so simple to get it to start these things, but not to disable them? I asked the Assistant every which way I could think of to make these alerts stop, and suddenly it turned into Siri, responding with the old: “I can do a web search for that.” The point of these mobile assistants is so you don’t have to do things like pull up a web browser and manually search for things. If Google’s Assistant can remotely adjust things like the thermostat in my house, I’d think it would be able to handle tasks that aren’t asking for much. Like turning off one simple feature. And forget about trying the settings menu. It’s not in there. You can customize things like a morning routine, but any other random things you get it to do automatically are nowhere to be found. I spent 15 minutes on it before finally giving up and deleting the app altogether out of frustration. I am seriously disappointed because I thought this would be my solution to Siri’s uselessness. Good try, Google. You almost had me. Would’ve been a five star review, had you provided a COMPLETE LIST of customizable features. I don’t know what secret codeword is required to say to Assistant to make those custom alerts stop, but if there’s only one way to say it, it should be made clear what it is. I love my iPhone, but Apple’s lack of customizable features and settings for iPhones (in what I assume is an effort to be “minimalist,” or “easy-to-use”) is already infuriating enough. For such [allegedly] advanced technology, there should seriously be more you can customize. Everything is so oversimplified, it’s maddening trying to customize the most basic settings and features that a computer from 10 years ago could’ve done with the click of a button. So, already being fed up with Apple’s feature-barren phones, I really don’t need more of that crap from any third party apps. I’m about two seconds away from becoming a Samsung person.
Very glitchy 1/5
The app is nice except for the fact that it is full of bugs.
For instance, when trying to work with routines I kid you not about 50% of the time it says “something went wrong” and won't load any information. I have to back out to the previous screen where again, about 50% of the time it AGAIN says “something went wrong” forcing me to back out yet ANOTHER screen. Sometimes it takes 5 or 6 tries to get in to modify a routine. It is absolutely infuriating.
Another issue is about once a week it pops up a box telling me “Google Assistant wants to use google.com to sign in”. But it pops up every 2-3 seconds EVEN THOUGH I CLICK OKAY. In another words, it continues to pop up more and more boxes, as I am trying to sign in. Even when I close the app it CONTINUES TO POP UP BOXES!! I have to force close the app and reopen it.
For such a reputable company it's ridiculous that their app has so many bugs that make it nearly impossible to use. Therefore, one star.
