Lock mode 4/5
I really really love this app and being able to use across multiple devices is really a great advantage using it. But the problem is something there are some sensitive data we want to keep in notes and not being able to password protected is a let down. That the only reason I use stock note app.
So please add a feature to password protected the notes.
It would be helpful if you wanted to password protect your information it Would give you that option. I have used this app for a few years but will be looking for something I can secure with a password .
Handwriting to text 3/5
By Tha Oracle
Google please add handwriting to text recognition. Once this feature is added Keep will be an great pro tool.
La applicacion es muy buena pero me gustaria que tuviera contraseña para proteger los archivo
handy and useful 5/5
By ahmed alromaissy
i thank google fir this great app
Good, ugly white border icon
No way to indent notes? 2/5
I would expect a notes app to indent regular text??? doesn't even have a basic feature.
Fix Apple Watch issue 4/5
I like the app because it supports Apple Watch, which not even Apple’s Notes app does. It’s nice to glance at my wrist to look at a shopping list or reminder and keep my phone in my pocket if I’m out and about.
However, there is an issue with the Apple Watch that I am experiencing. I have deleted the note from Keep, but it still shows up on my watch. I would like it to be so that when I delete a note, it deletes on my watch also.
Please fix this, as it is irritating to have many notes/lists on my watch face with such a small screen.
Refresh needed. Refresh. Needed. REFRESH NEEDED. 1/5
I’m so tired of logging in and being told ‘refresh needed.’ Seriously it’s almost every time. And refresh takes 4-5 minutes on average, and fails almost every time. I love this app. I don’t want to migrate all of my notes away from here, but it’s pissing me off at this point that this continues to happen.
Excellent in principle but buggy on iPad 2/5
By Shenandoah Fisher
I moved to Keep from Evernote because I tend to go All Things Google to help with compatibility. It works great on my Pixel But it’s buggy on the iPad. Worst part is just starting a new note! It rarely works, or just slowly when it does. Opening notes can be a challenge, too. Developers, please don’t give up on this app; I use for all sorts of notes, from work to travel to hobbies.
So slow it’s unusable 1/5
When I click on anything it can take ~30 seconds to actually respond. Really a bummer because I love using Keep on my laptop and would like to sync with my phone.
Why hashtags don't work on iOS while its working properly on Android.
No protection 1/5
Can’t make any of the notes password protected.
Google keep 4/5
Great for organizing. I don’t use it for grocery lists so will defer to others who have reviewed that functionality.
What I would like is the ability to underline and to bold fonts.
Other than that I am pretty happy with app.
Beats the competition! 5/5
“Onenote” and the built-in apps on iPhone and android do not even compare to this. FINALLY, I can make a checklist with pictures and being able to set a reminder for notes and the checklist also. So far it is amazing. If you haven’t yet, merge what you can from the other third party note-taking, task-managing apps and switch to this one. Will update my review if needed.(BTW just barely started using this app)
Please add folders!!! 4/5
By Richard D. D.
This app would be more helpful if I could organize my notes with in the labels with folders!!
And better graphs inside the notes like Evernote!
انتقال نوشته ها 4/5
یکی از بهترین و راحت ترین نرم افزارهای
انتقال نوشته ها بین ios و اندروید است
ب من خیلی کمک کرد
GREAT APP HOWEVER 2/5
Please please make a freaking FitBit watch app for Keep!!!!!! Then you’ll get 5 stars.
Sending iPhone screenshot to Keep does not work 3/5
I am a new user of Keep as I ran out of free storage in Evernote and I don’t want to buy the new version of Office in order to use OneNote.
I like Keep overall but I wanted to report a bug. After a screenshot is taken, there is an option to send the screenshot to Keep, but it does not work. If this bug can be fixed, I would upgrade my rating to a 4/5.
Using Google Keep in the classroom 5/5
If you and your students are using Google Classroom, Keep is an excellent addition to research tools. Show the young scholars how to use keep to save articles, and they don’t forget to copy info required in their Works Cited Page. Keep also allows group collaboration and when used in conjunction with Google Slides and Documents provides excellent communication for students working at home or unable to communicate orally (Reduces Social interruptions and promotes productivity). Particularly valuable when multiple students develop portions of projects independently with the intention of sharing/combining in final group activity.
Used to be okay 1/5
Google Keep used to be usable and even kinda nice, but lately it's gotten so slow that it's completely unusable
Basically a great format - BUT..... 3/5
Sometimes it will suddenly close while I’m editing a list - see below.
I LOVE the colors, ability to add photos to lists, & the choice to format with or without the check boxes. It would be nice to be able to organize some of the lists alphabetically AND still pin those that are most used.
HOWEVER, on my iPhone, the app is suddenly closing when I am editing my lists. This happens most when I am trying to make a sub list. Pulling a checklist item over to be under the main list is a time consuming, often unsuccessful task. After 3-4 attempts, the app completely shuts down. This started beginning of May 2019.
C+ ... A suggestion 3/5
By AN Nickole
Please make compatible with Siri on iPhone. Im going back to Apple Reminders because it is voice automated. I dont have to pick up or touch my phone set a reminder/note. Make life 100% better when on a spur of the moment item needs a reminder
All I want is a read-only mode! 2/5
Keep is too sensitive when you open a note and try to scroll. Instead, it can easily enter edit mode as soon as your thumb touches the screen. So annoying!
I don't have such a problem with Evernote. Maybe that's the game changer!
Pretty good, but could be better 3/5
By A3 Fan
Would be much more user friendly if the tiles could be rearranged by clicking and dragging.
I prefer using everything google from mail to photos because everything syncs up no matter what device you’re on and when I found out there was a notes app I immediately downloaded it,, I really like the concept and how you can have the checkboxes and colors however the labels and archiving don’t sync up very well. I like to have some notes for cooking or workouts and not have them clog up my main screen so I archive them and put them in their labels, but when I click the label and click the notes it brings me to the archive section, but the device still thinks It is in the individual label and I have to click out and click back it to get just the notes in the label to pop back and it’s quite annoying. I would prefer it if the labels acted like folders in drive rather than just labels or have the options for both.
Incredibly small font 1/5
I love this app on android devices. On apple products especially the iPhone, the font is way to small to be usable.
Best simplistic note app 5/5
Been using this app for years and the best parts are how simplistic it is to use and the best part it’s free!
Useful, but runs too poorly to use properly 1/5
It’s my go to stickynote app mainly because I’m too lazy to find another one that syncs across android and iOS. It’d be a great app if it didn’t have constant slowdowns and freezes on the iOS version. (iPad Air 2 by the way)
Moving more and more away from terrible Apple apps 4/5
This app just works. It syncs across devices seamlessly. It is easy to share lists or reminders with others. Much better (and way more reliable) than “Reminders”.
Formatting tools ?! 1/5
Hey Google, how about some formatting tools? I’d like to be able to bold things, or highlight or italicize.
Make better usage of the space; the text is too large and often fall onto multiple lines.
What a disaster 1/5
This app constantly crashes all my other apps when I try to use it. I don’t see any function to export notes. Google should be embarrassed.
screenshot and share to Google keep is not work！！！ 1/5
screenshot and share to Google keep is not work！！！
Can’t use it anymore: slow, changes default account 1/5
When I save a note, it defaults to a account I never used on it, plus it freezes if I have a slow Internet connection.
It was an adequate app for keeping small tidbits of information. Yet when it starts up when I have a slow connection, I get a blank screen for about a half-minute, and I can’t keep a memory load that long. And it freezes when I save to Keep on a slow connection.
Plus lately it likes to default to a Google account I’ve never used on it before, so I keep having to switch accounts before saving.
I was going to leave another paid app for Keep, but if I have to pay for speed and not having to choose accounts *every* time I save a note, so be it.
Pretty Basic 2/5
I like the colors and ability to set reminders by place or time but other than that it’s pretty basic. For example, I wanted to make a list of things to do today and I ended up making it in iOS Notes because it felt more organized. I have examples to show if any designers at Keep are interested.
Works on old iPad, again 4/5
By ben k r
Good for sharing between android and iOS. I use this on an old ipad2, vintage 2012, iOS 9.3.5. Was getting the "can't connect now, will retry later" error. Deleted the app and reinstalled. Now it works fine.
Ok but: 2/5
The only problem is that the notes don’t fill your screen when you open them so it feels cramped. The note should fill the screen.
Weak search, ironically! 1/5
This app requires full text search.
No date and time stamp 1/5
By Using everyday
There is no date and time stamp. A note I created couple of years ago says at the bottom: “Edited Mar 30” that’s it. Which year, what time. Nothing. Terrible. This is feature is available for Android, BUT NOT for iOS!!!!
My only recommendation till now 4/5
I would like for it to have bullet points, it has check boxes but does not have bullet points
Great app, but could add more. 4/5
I absolutely love Google Keep to organize my notes, but I wish you could add the ability to lock notes, especially for privacy or when someone hacks your account and they take access of your notes, especially when they are very private or confidential. Also, I’d love if you add more colors to notes, that would be awesome!
Use it everyday 5/5
Quick to write notes, store images. Quick to search info. Available to all platforms. Thank you google!
Awful synchronization 1/5
Synchronization and note sharing are just terrible. Propagation of changes takes forever, or does not happen at all (lists shared with me are just incomplete): this is a critical bug making the application essentially unusable. Android app is flawless.
I use this app frequently and it really helps just organize my life in general. I hope they can add a dark mode in a later update to make it easier on the eyes.
It does NOT “Keep” it Loses 1/5
I have raved about this app for years to all my friends. It WAS perfect for me. When will I learn not to update! Over the last few months, it has lost about 1/3 of my notes. Irreplaceable doctor notes, dates, images, etc. are GONE. I can no longer trust this app to actually keep my notes. If I could give 0, I would. BEWARE! I would expect Google to be better than this.
Your users are being mislead. “Keep” meant safe to me. Boy was I wrong!!!!
Great and yet simple 5/5
Its a great app to keep things organized and at your sight the search feature work nice and you can manage your notes by labels. I know folders are great but its a way too . In fact i panocked before using cuz there is no folder but right now after a few days im just okay with labels . But the thing im missing as an iphone user , is per note locking feature that notes app by apple has . So i think it will be great if it will added to the package ! Thanks again
Needs the ability to adjust font size 4/5
Google keep is probably the app I use more than any other. I love it. However, I got a new iPhone XR, coming from an LG V20, and the font size in Google Keep is way too small. I tried adjusting the accessibility settings of the phone and it made no difference. It would be nice if you could adjust the font size in Google Keep or at least if it would use the accessibility settings of the phone
Also, the magnifying glass feature of the iPhone doesn’t work in it. The magnifying glass comes up but it’s empty.
Doesn't work offline?? 1/5
I don't understand how Google can develop an app like this that can't work offline. If I have a weak signal, the app will just sit there with a blank screen, as if it has zero cached data. I'm sure it must save data locally, but that's useless if you can't access that data without a web connection.
Good Application needs some work. 3/5
I love the layout of this application but it could use some changes. One, I would add ability to turn off the automatic organizing of the notes. I would love to be able to put the notes in the order that I choose as I see fit. As it stands right now you add a note and your application decides where it should go I don’t really care for that particular feature at all. The second thing I would add would be just a few more color choices. With those two changes I would rate it as a five.
